Wondercat- Wow! Tomorrow will be here quick. Especially since you are three hours ahead of me. I was pretty cool till i read your post. Then my RE did not call by the appointed time and was an hour late. I started to freak.

Twany- It sucks you are having a rough time with the headaches. Stay strong girl. Thanks for the LOL about your DH.

Kiwi- Congrats on the 9 embryos. Here is to splitting and growing.

AFM- FET will be at 10:30 Thursday.

Just got to work from this mornings apt. Looks like my right overy is doing all the work she says they like to see the size between 10 and 14 I have 8 of those and 14 others not so big but the left overy only has 10 not so big ones. She did say she had alot of trouble finding my left overy and the 10 is what she could find. They also said that my linning is 6.87 and she is hoping for it to be at 9 this weekend so I'm on track there.
My next wait it for the blood work to get read and they call me with the next ultra sound apt (eigther Fri or Sat) and they will tell me what meds to do until then. Again just a little at a time. But she said it looks like I am still on track for ER on Mon and ET next thur or sat. Crossing fingers!!!

Hi Tawny,

I just had my retrieval and I recommend you to do nothing that day and the day after - it is not bad but it is really uncomfortable. I personally would even consider not having the in-laws over at all. But thats me and I dont like people around me if I am not feeling good.
Glad that your follies react nicely. I guess your left ovary is hiding to give a suprise later - lots of nice eggs

kiwi11- The inlaws are leaving the day of retrieval so that will be great. I am scheduled to go backto work the day after though I hope I'll be ok. I don't have that much time to take off from work I'm already taking my 5 day vacation after the transfer. The doc said that would be the best for me the more the bed rest the better. I hope you feel ok today and tomorrow.

Just got an email with my blood work results Progesterone 1.87 and Estradiol is 307

Transfer went well, two blasts in no problems. I am feeling kind of low because the embryologist must have repeated 8 times that they weren't as expanded as they like to see. Completely wiped from stress, no sleep, and valium. Going to go lie down in the sunshine...

What is ya'lls opinion on the chance of twins. I'm not really looking forward to twins but if thats what God gives me then OK. I do know that the max eggs that will be transfered is 2. Dr Jarrett says that it has happened and can but it doesn't happen often.

Middle: im useless on the oio shots im afraid because we use pessaries. How are you feeling?

Suzyq: so you transfer tomorrow? Crossing everything I can for you

Kiwi: 9 embryos is terrific.

Tawny: how many nights of stimms had you had at your follicle check? Sounds li,e you have a really good number and im sure the smaller ones will catch up. In terms of retrieval - if you can take the day off afterwards. I was ok both times on retrieval day but I felt rough the day after both times. All clinics seem to vary on bed rest but seriously I think you will need a day after egg retrieval.re twins: im biased because im an identical twin but i know in ivf that's not always good to have twins because of complications.

Wondercat: seriously - why in goodness name would that embryologist repeat that - does she not think you are under enough stress?! And really, saying it - does she think it will change anything?!!! I hope you relaxed in the sun?


Afm: new symptom today - bloody nausea!!! I feel travel sick!!!Have had some ginger tea which seems to have helped. Have my group tomorrow (24 week program me where 2 of us work with a group of people who are suicidal). Im hoping its not too tough because im wiped from the meds. I moved my clients to my home therapy room which should help. Had my legs waxed today - im taking it as an omen that the lady who did it was pregnant and also our boxer who followed dh and our retrieved home two months ago is now in heat - also an omen I hope!!

Wondercat-Hoooray you should get some really good sleep tonight, and hopefully your @ss can get some rest too lol. Dr's always know what to say to scare the sh*t out of you then come back with everything is normal

Kiwi- the retrieval sounds awesome I know its a big sigh of relief, almost in the home stretch

SusyQ- Congrats on walking!! you know what they say he's moving out of the way for the new baby.. Good luck with the transfer

Tawnie- this is my first cycle too ask too many questions and write everything down. Hope the headaches subside heres hoping your dh has the strenghth to endure all this lol


AFM.... WAITING!!!!!!! I've been using a 1/2 inch needle for the progesterone which comes out like an IV drip. I upgraded to the 1 1/2. The needle seems huge but the shot is much faster. Doing everything I can to not take an ept test and obsess over every symptom. I feel pregnant, but I felt pregnant last week too. I'm feeling great except for the sore
breasts and fatigue.I think I'm going to try the thigh tonight, my only concern is walking if the muscle is sore. I'll let you know if I chicken out

The sun didn't cooperate so I crawled in bed and slept for four hours. God bless my mom for keeping DS all day and overnight. Up for another four hours now I am back in bed. I will write more personals tomorrow, typing on my Kindle is painfully slow... Good night!

Wondercat - hope everything is turning out perfect. Last time our follies were not that perfect and It worked, so as long as they transfer I think everything is fine.

Tawny - don't know about the chances of twins either but if you check the statistics most of them are not. And if you think about possibilities even if you transfer one you can twins like Ninde is
For the retrieval you should just have it optional to take the next day off because I agree with Ninde - the second day is not better at all. I would rather take only 4 days after transfer.

Twiddle - I don't think I can do them in the leg either - last time I my DH was gone I went to the RE everyday and had a nurse give me to me. I have to add they are on my way to work so it's easy.

Waiting to get a call tomorrow about the transfer - then it is bed rest for 3 days (transfer +2). I know a lot don't get it recommended but it worked for me last time so I don't want to change it.

Wondercat - Jumping in here - In our first IVF attempt, we had 3 embryos. 2 "perfect" 8-cells, and one "OK" embryo that we didn't transfer on fresh cycle (when we got a BFN), and then decided to give it a shot in an FET (although I wasn't positive about it since they had described the embryo as just OK). She is about to turn 2. I may be slightly partial, but she is one of the smartest kids I've ever met, absolutely beautiful, already somewhat athletic, and has just a precious personality. Don't let the grades get you down. They're only embryo grades, not reflective of that beautiful little person it will become!

Good morning-
tmiddle- It's nice to talk to someone that is also going through this at the same time. Do you feel it's as hard as you thought it would be? I find it to be a little easier that what I was thinking. Where are you at in your plan? It sounds like your all done with the transfer?

Ninde- If I'm thinking right Stimming starts with the Bravelle/Menopur not the Lupron right? If its the Bravelle/Menopur then I had my ultra sound on day 6 of stimming. She said the other 14 on the right should be all ready to go by this weekend. Thats why I have another 2 ultra sounds to go. Hopfully triggering on Sat night?

Kiwi11- I spoke with my boss yesturday after reading what yall were saying about the day after retrieval and she's ok with working with me if I don't feel well all I have to do is call. I work at a Credit Union so I don't do alot physically just alot of computer work so we will see how I feel. If it was anything like my hysteroscopy/Laparoscopy procedure all I wanted to do was sleep on day 2. My work is really helping me out with all this so I'm very lucky in that part.

Tawny, I was reading your post and saw that you are seeing Dr J. I was in your shoes a exactly a year ago. My retrial was Aug 26 and transfer was Aug 29th. I just loved him and his staff. I had 3 embies transfered and now I am a proud mama of a beautiful baby boy! Born on May 5th. One day before my 40th birthday. My sister in law also saw him and she has twin girls. (They also transfered 3) I wish you the best of luck!

22yearslater- Yay this is awsome to find someone who has worked with him. He seems like anawsome Dr. I have only met him once at the consultation but My Nurse talks so much greatness about him and his crew. I'm sooo happy that you had a great experiance with him and your sister in law aswell. I'm a little afraid of the twin deal though. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that He said we are only transfering 2 embies since I'm under 30 he said any more will probably result in twins for sure. Now I'm really excited for next week thank you for popping in.
