Hi Sue

Good luck for your injection tonight. What a relief your treatment didn't get cancelled. It is always such a worry and the waiting game never gets easier does it?

The story about what your DH said did make me chuckle  It's the sort of thing my DH would have said too.

Good luck to everybody else too.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi

Sue and Gem - good luck girls!!!

Traci - good luck for that scan!

I had a scan today and things are progressing slowly which is quite odd....due for insemination on Sat and they are hoping for 2 good follies.....at the mo they only have one at 10mm and a few at 8mm.....don't know why they are so slow my cycle is normally 26-28 days therefore ovulation is generally bang on day 14 (Sat).....we'll see, if no luck this time I am going to try a natural cycle next time.......so fed up and bored with this whole thing!

Love to all

Hi there, I was wondering if I could join you guys for a bit? I was with MCBs, but after Annie tests (today!) it'll be just me left! Should I turn out the lights or something? And I've still got 8 days to go before I test, and having found this board, I don't think I could cope now without it. So I hope it's OK that I've invited myself along.

For those of you who don't know, this is my first IVF cycle. I've had 3 failed IUIs, and spent a total of 2.5 years TTC #1... I know it's not that bad compared to many of you, but it still does seem endless.

hi jayne..

so sorry to have left you on your own on the mcb, I have joined the acb but I will be here for you now. After getting yet another negative thought I should give my self a couple of days off. Ther two week is so bad and I hope you are keeping busy this will help take your mind of all the nicker checking and boob bouncing....

annie hope all is ok with you.

Hb and I had good talk over the weekend as after we have had a few more goes at di ands used our frozen eggs up we were going to call it as day but he thinks we should give it one more go at ivf. I feel ready to have another go but we can not decide if to go for a donor or try with dh sperm again.

well we will have to think about it.

hope you all had a good easter.

from july ann
been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july

Hi Julyann
It is such a hard decition to make "calling it a day" I feel the same if this one fails then I think this will be it for us , I am not going to draw the line on a particular day I am just going to get on with the rest of the year and perhaps dwindle it out!!!! anyway PMA PMA Its gonna work isnt it !!! so we shouldnt be thinking of this yet . anyway it is hard when you are running out of straws , at the beginning you have all the chances in front of you and its a bit like having spending money on holiday in the end you have only a bit left!!!
Glad you have joined us on the ACB's what stage are you at? your last one went so quick perhaps not for you I didnt realise that you had had another cycle .
Best of Luck Buddy

Hi girls,

Amithis - How are you getting on. Has af arrived yet? When do you start stims? I'm always amazed how many of you get dh to do injections. I have always done my own and dont think I could cope if dh was in charge of the needle!

Caz - Hope your stims are going OK. Hope you are feeling more positve now that you have spoken to the clinic.

Traci - Hope your scan goes well on Wednesday. Let us know how you get on.

Gem - Hope EC went well this morning. Let us know how many eggs you got when you feel up to it.

Sue - Good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on as well.

JenF - Hope your follies put on a spurt. Good luck for Saturday.

Jaye - Keep smiling. You are nearly there!

JulyAnn - The donor decision is a hard one. We had it with eggs rather than sperm but same sorts of issues apply. Hope you reach a decision you are happy with.

Annie - Well done girl.

I am still down regulating at present but no sign of AF so far. Its so strange to be willing it to arrive.

Love Allison

HI all!
So good to hear that everyone is making such good progress!
I am fine. Just did injection - and REALLY cocked it up!! Usually I'm a bit of an ace- but today - we'll I dont know - jabbed myself in the tummy 3 times - half of the stuff spurted across the kitchen and then as a grand finale I poked myself in the thumb!!!!
Good eh?!

Can I take a straw poll......how much time are people planning to take off after et?
Assuming (PRAYING) I get that far - in NO WAY a given - I was wondering how long I should take off work. Took about 2 days last time - was wondering if I should take more?

Take care all.
Gem good luck with the et - which must be any minute??
Hi July ann and Traci - how you doing. July - feel your "pain" re the donor thing - hope you can find a way thru it! I'm ALWAYS here
Annie - CONGRATS!!
Hello to evryone else too!!

Hi girls
well things are due to kick off tomorrow going to the clinic for my injection to start down regging. Bit concerned as I have had some bleeding this month nothing much but I havn't had it previously so I hope there is nothing wrong. I'm not due until the 22nd ish so it is a bit novel. Anyway wow there are so many of us! Traci good luck with the scan fingers crossed, Caz good luck eith the next injection hoping you actually manage to get this one inside you! Bronagh, time does seem to drag intitally nothing compared to the 2ww thought that seems to go on forever!! GEM well done on the E/C good luck for E/T I'm sure it will be fine. Alison am I right in thinking your having Donor eggs as well?? Sue Jen F and Jayne wishing you all the best, Feel a bit strange this time as I'm not going to have to inject but looking forward to getting going, Traci do they tell you how many eggs your donor has developing, I think it would be good to know just so that you have an idea of how many you might have!
Right I'm going to go an chill out look after yourselves

Hi Girls,

We all seems to be a different stages, I down reg tomorrow with et scheduled for w/c 17th May so I'm a bit behind most.

Aly,
Just noticed that you start tomorrow too - and coincidentally I've had some bleeding since Saturday? This is the first time I've ever had it mid cycle, it's not much but I might phone hospital today, AF's due around the 25th? :?

I'll be keeping my eye on everyone.

hello everyone

I was getting so confused as to who is who and what stage you are all at that I decided to write it all down yesterday to try to keep track.

I can;t believe that I have about 20 names on my list, how am I going to keep track?

Traci good luck with your scan today, I hope all goes well. it seems like our EC will be in the same week.

Sue, good luck with your EC today. That;s the bit I dread, as I have never done it before and it doesn't sound fun!

Gem, I hope it was good news when the clinic called to tell you about your embies.

Jen, good luck with the insemination on Saturday.

I went for my scan yesterday, and it put my mind at rest as I thought I hadn't been sniffing properly. Luckily everything was ok so it must mean I was sniffing properly. I have another scan next Wednesday to see how the follies are growing. Now I am worried that I will overstim as when I did IUI with drugs I went a bit crazy and had to stop.

I asked the doctor his opinion about exercise etc. He told me to have as normal life as possible so I think I will go back to the gym today, or maybe just yoga, although I am not very good at that, I like faster exercise!
he also told me I can eat chocolate, which is good as I have been. My addiction is too far gone to keep in check.

I had a lovely Easter weekend at my nephwe's first birthday. We managed to spend it on the beach in Brighton with a picnic.

Caz you were asking how much time people take off or would be taking off after EC/ET. Well I suppose I don't have much of an excuse as I work at home, sitting down in front of the computer. Maybe I will take a day or so! Maybe I should however do like others and have two weeks off.

Anyway, must go and do another sniff!

good luck everyone
