Hi Buddies, hope everyone is ok tonight,

kel, I have had to turn quite a lot of work down during treatment as it was away from home and I have not known in advance when hospital appointments were going to be ( a real pain as I have been perfectly fit to do the work) I don't have anything in my 2 WW which is good (not financially of course!!!) hope you are feeling ok at the moment Jill x

Jen, I am now 6 days away from my last scan on Monday 4th. I am on nasal spray and drugs to build up my womb lining ( I am doing Egg Donor IVF 1st and only Cycle). If my lining is thick enough (which is a worry as I didn't down reg well at all) my ET will be later that week. Well done with your down reg good luck starting the Gonal F Jill x

Jools, Not long now till the 30th, hang on in there we all have everything crossed for you Jill x

Pam, any news on your embies? I hope it's looking good for you Jill x

Well girls we have got through another day keep bright everyone love Jill xx

Hi Jill,

We got good news from the clinic today ...our lonely little egg is now an embryo !! I'm so delighted.

I know our odds still aren't good (does anyone know what they are?) but we will go for our ET on Thursday and will be pregnant for a little while at least ....even if the test comes up negative in two weeks.

I'm not sure if I should get excited at this stage (I know I shouldn't but this is our first time at IVF) but we've come through so much to get to this stage I am allowing myself to be happy. I know this is really pathetic but I dragged DH round baby shops today ... I just couldn't help it.... I wanted to pretend that everything would work out for us for a while. I was restrained enough not to buy anything though!

I hope everything is going well for all of you.

Hi Girls!

Pam - That is fab news!! And just to let you know I was cycling with someone in May who only had one embie, and she got a BFP! So it really does only take one...
Jill - Hope your lining will be perfect ready for your embies! I've just been looking in Zita West for you to see if there's anything to help - apparently iron and a supplement called co-enzyme Q10 can help build up the lining (i'm going to take when I start stimms), keeping the belly warm with a hot water bottle, lots of water and no exercise are good for the blood flow to the lining. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious!! Hope you're ok!
JenF - How did you jab go? Keep thinking positive thoughts for those follies!! :D I'm doing ok today thanks, but knaaacckered!! It went really well but got back at 4.30am, then had to do my sniffing at 9am (which, guess what I did wrong AGAIN! It all came out... ) and then I couldn't get back to sleep!! So lagging a bit today and will hopefully get an early one later... ahhhh

Hope everyone else is doing ok too??
Bye for now buds!
Love Kel x :D

Hi Kel,
Thanks again for the advice, I particularly like the no exercise bit! any excuse. I am now on my 4th bottle of spray!!! this cycle seems to have lasted for ever. On my first day of treatment 6 weeks ago I went out for the day taking the spray wrapped in a cool bag with me. All seemed fine until later in the day I found the bottle had slipped onto it's side and half of it had spilt out! Oh how we laughed! Take care love Jill x

Hi Girls

Kel - hope you are in bed young lady!! Have a good kip.....

Jill - you have been sniffing for a while you poor thing........when I cycled a while back.......can't remeber which one of my cycles it was there was a poor girl who was sniffing for around 3 months!! The whole thing is a pain, you just want the embies back inside you and then we will be moaning again when we are on the 2ww wandering and worrying the whole way!!!

Good luck and keep the chins up girls!!

Love

september/october cycle buddies

Post by christine202 »

Hi all

Would like to join the september/october cycle buddies if thats ok.

Have been waiting to start my first ivf at St Marys in Manchester. Phoned St Marys on wednesday as was day 1 of my AF. Was very disappointed when on phoning back at 2.30 was told that I had been refused treatment this month and had to call back next month. Think I got myself all excited thinking I was ready to start at last after all the waiting.

Feeling a bit low this week but sure this is just the start of ups and downs.

Anyone else feeling the same?

Fingers crossed for everyone. Take Care

Christine x

Hi Christine,
Welcome to the sept/oct buddies. We are all chatting a lot on here and it really does help. Sorry to hear you have yet another delay this treatment seems to be fraut with it. Did they give a reason why they refused to start you this month? I am on my first (and only) Egg Donor IVF Cycle. I have had problems down regging but am now on spray and drugs to build my lining up (fingers crossed) then if all goes to plan it should be EC for my Donor next week then DH sample and ET late next week!
Take care Jill x

Hi Jill,

Thanks for you reply it helps to hear from other people going through the same thing.

St Mary's said that I had been refused treatment this month because of the numbers already, and that they have to give priority to people who have already been refused two and three times already, which is fair enough.
But it is still disappointing. Fingers crossed for next time.

I will keep everything crossed for you for next week.. You will have to let me know how things go.

Take Care

Hi Christine,
Thanks for the reply, yes I will keep you posted with how I get on. I really hope your turn will come round next month. I found all the waiting very draining and there is just so much of it around IVF! Take care love Jill x
