Hi everyone

Hope everyone is doing ok. Day 10 of DR, no side effects to speak of. AF came right on time and is light as usual, no changes at all. Little worried after reading about rest of you that I'm not responding to drugs. Got blood test on Monday, will try not to worry til then as there's nothing I can do about it is there?

My little sister has got in on the act with injections. As DH has gone to watch England under 21s at Elland Road she did injection for me tonight. She's been very supportive, can't say same about other sister, she has a baby and can be very insensitive, telling me what it's like to be a mother and not even asking how injections are going, ah well not everyone understands do they?

Nes - thinking of you, holds on tight little babies!! :) :)

Lola - good luck as you start DR.

Camilla - I sympathise with long DR, hope you are ok, enjoy your weekend with outlaws!!

Jeni - I haven't had any side effects either but have been very tired, have been very busy at work, my acupuncturist said my energy levels are low and I need to take some time out for naps and to relax, can manage it at weekends but I've got parents evenings next week. Hope you manage some time out and relaxation.

Stephanie - My first IVF too, good luck with it and DR.

Steph - what brilliant news with eggs, 8 fertilised is absolutely brilliant, tons of baby dust coming your way.

Take care everyone, early night for me, night night

Hi Ladies,

I've been really slack to get on the net and reply to you all and wish you all luck individually. I have been getting on and reading how you are all doing though.

What dose of Purogen/Gonal F is every one on. I started on 225 now I am up to 450 and considering this is my first IVF attempt I am a bit worried as the nurse told me that 450 is usually the highest they go. Going for my first ultrasound on Monday and hope that it's good news as I am feeling bloated and tender.

LittleP - I find that if you go 1 inch around your belly button it doesn't sting as much as furhter out than that with injections
Steph - 8 eggs is fantastic hope all goes well and the ones you put in stick

I hope everyones cycles are going well and those little eggs get put back in they stick....

Take care from Walshy

Hey buddies...

Just got back from my first scan...all is well :) and have to continue stimming for next 3 days until next scan. I'm only on 100 Puregon which is considerably less than most of you. However, I have had a tendency to hyperstimulate.

Camilla - good luck with the outlaws 8) . I haven't told mine about the IVF  . Living abroad can have its advantages ;-) Lucky you to have DH to do the needlework. My DH is not around much so have to trust my own rusty skills ;-). I can totally relate to the one weather extreme to the other.... I was living in Switzerland before Dubai ;-)

Steph - great news :D :D :D ! well done! Sounds like your body was cooperating after all, just wanted to keep you in suspense ;-) Hope your little ones have a fab weekend and grow grow grow! Enjoy taking it easy now.

Debra - Thanks for the advice....may try icing the area later on when tummy is sore. Totally agree with you...breathing in and out definitely helps. Yesterday I was so nervous as it was my first shot in a while ...I forgot and just held my breath....then remembered to breathe....it really did make a difference.

Leigh - good luck with the DR.... sorry to hear about your unsupportive sister :x ... it's so true, not everyone understands. Have a cousin who's just pregnant..she couldn't understand why I couldn't be overjoyed for her. She said she was upset :!: :!: :?: :?: Pretty insensitive coming from a person who got pregnant in 2 months... sorry rant over! Good luck on Monday!

Nes - hope the little ones are cuddling inside :-) :D :D

Walshy - will try around belly button then...see how it goes ;-)

Tracii -- wow  ....I have just read your signature...sorry really confused :? ...if I am understanding correctly...because this is GREAT news!

May I say this....please know that I am NOT meaning to be insensitive ... but it often seems with IVF (reading your stories) that things can turn around for the best or am I just imagining that :?: :?: :?:

Hugs to all of you...and lots of PMA.....

Off to do injection ;-)

Hi Octobuddies

How's everyone?

Me - Day 4 of DR. No awful side effects yet just feel tired. Work is mental at the moment which I guess doesnt help but is a complete distraction (see, every cloud). If this cycle doesnt work though may ask boss to reimburse me. One of my good friends has taken on role of IVFbuddy, hormonal mood-o-meter and laughter factory - she's been great and I love her despite the fact she is pregnant-but-wasn't-even-trying  . Most of the time I can find some humour in all this but other times I get massive soh failures and sad to say feel a bit sorry for my faultyfallopianed self.
Hmmm, what a moaner! Lighten up love.

Anyway! Its the weekend....Stephs little ones are dividing in the laboratory of erotic petri dreams and Nes's are busy settling in at Chez Uterus. Meanwhile, back at injector ranch... the rest of us stimmers and dereggers, brandishing our syringes casually like an exotic french cigarette, lounge about in the ante room waiting for the X Factor to start on telly.....

Lots going on next week for a lot of october crew - good luck everyone!

Hello buddies...a little worried...

I wonder whether you can help...

I have done 2 shots of Puregon... and my pee (sorry to be so graphic) is fluorescent yellow. :!: :!: :!:
I know the shots are causing this as I have compared my last 3 days...the only thing different is the fact that I am taking Puregon.
Has anyone had this side effect before?
Not sure whether I should be concerned?

Going back to the clinic in 3 days...should I go before then?

Hugs

Sorry buddies..... maybe it is the multi-vitamins I took yesterday????

What I don't understand.... I didn't take today to see whether there was a difference... and still have neon pee ! That's why I concluded that it was the Puregon shots

Not sure what to think :?:

Ever happened to you :?:

Hi Little R

I can't speak from experience - not started Puregon yet but...
Its not on the list of side effects but a proportion of Puregon is excreted in the urine after it's been metabolised so theoretically it could change the colour of your urine. More likely to be the Vitamins though. I'm sure its nothing to worry about. Keep an eye on it over the next few days

Take it easy and dont worry :)

Thanks so much Lola ;-). Yes, I didn't read on the side effects either...
Yes, most likely the vitamins are responsible for the neon yellow :D

:?: :?: I have another question for you all.....
Are any of you taking aspirine daily? Or only after EC?
If yes, what dose?

Thank you for answering.

Lots of hugs and PMA to all you buddies

Good morning

Little R - I have been told to take 75mg Aspirin daily from start of treatment (ie from day one of downregging) and continue throughout treatment. Hope you're not stressing re pee colour, sound advice from Lola. I think there is so much going on and we all want to make sure that what's happening to us is normal. One day I'll feel so happy and in control and the next I'll be so tearful and anxious (like today).

Steph - Hope there's a lot of action going on in that little dish.

Short and sweet today as not feeling a very happy bunny today.

Trying to muster up some PMA but sending you all what I've got.

Hello ladies.

Thank you for your kind words... I hope that all you're prayers and kind thoughts are getting through. Image Image

I have a week to go, and so far I don't think that I am getting any bad signs... Well I hope I'm not!

I am still a bit sore on my right side, not really too sure if it was a partly collapsed lung that I had after EC, but I spoke to my doctor today and he wants to keep an eye on things. He thought it was a bit odd the hospital not sending me for an xray if that is what they thought it was, but he said that as I was still awaiting the outcome of the IVF, he wouldn't send me for xrays just yet - incase I started worrying... just said to let him know how things went... Image

I am starting to feel a little better, but I keep convincing myself that AF will start soon - but then I think 'oh, it must be the pessaries!!' - How gross are they?! Cyclogest are yuck!!!

I always feel crap before I come on, but right now I just seem to be getting funny twinges every now and again and my boobs are REALLY Sore!!! I am also noticing that whenever I sit down and try and get comfy... I always have to get up and leg it too the loo, cos I feel like I'm bursting and haven't been for ages...

I'm also not sleeping very well. Image I go to bed between 11pm & 12pm, then wake up convinced it's morning... but find that it's only 3am and I'm bursting for the toilet again!!! - It's been like that for the past three nights, so I am so hoping that they are good signs!!!

DP came round today as it was his birthday, and I felt a little bad as I wasn't able to go out and get him a present, but hopefully fingers crossed, I'll be able to give him a belated one next week that he won't forget in a hurry!!! Image

Anyway, sorry guy's but the loo is calling again, and this time I don't think that I can hold on for much longer!!

Thanks again for all you thoughts. Good luck with all of you're cycles, and Congratulations to all of you that have been blessed with positives!! Image Image Image

To all of you who have had BFNs, my thoughts are with you, May you all take whatever time is neccessary to come to terms with your loss, and take comfort in knowing that you're babies will always be with you.

Take care everyone.

Hi October Buddies,

Is it OK if I swap over to this thread?? I was with the septembies as I started DR on 1/9/05 however I had to DR longer so I am still going with treatment. I had EC yesterday and got 16 eggs but we found out today that only 9 fertilised. I know I am being greedy and some of you would kill for this number but I can't help thinking it would have been nice for more to fertilise!! Anyway, I am extremely sore and it is hurting to move at moment but I have no choice as my son still needs looking after! We were informed that as we have 9 embies they are going to try and get to balstocyst stage with some of them, so fingers crossed!

Anyway, that is enough about me, I hope all you guys are well and I just thought I wiould tell Little R that if you have Vitamin B in your multi-vits that turns your wee a yellow flourescent colour. So don't worry.

Anyhows, I need to go I will keep in touch with you all and let you know how my embies are :D

Just a quickie. Just read on another thread (cycle abandoned) that Tracii is pregnant! and naturally!! Thought you might like to know if you didn't already. I wondered why we hadn't heard from her. Thought this might help with our PMA.

Anna - Hi, that sounds good to me. Let's hope you get some big, fat embies/blasties. Keep us posted.

Take care everyone.
