hi chriss, kelly & carolyn, thanks for all the PMA! Hope you are all doing well! Will check in again at some point next week- I'm guessing the 20th will be my beta. Hope to start us off with a positive result!
Take care, xx summer
Summer, good luck for Friday. PMA you will be our positive start to the year.
Carolyn, not long now for you either, these next couple of months will fly by.
Kelly, how is life with the twins.
Have all of you been to Gennett? am I the only Reprofit one?
Nothing much to report from me. Was looking to go to Reprofit in March but now DH doesn't think he can get away from work, so I've given him other dates in April & June.
Have been kept busy with the snowfall we had, thank goodness we don't live in the States as I couldn't be digging out the driveway all the time like I was on Monday. Got to the gym yesterday and managed to strain my thigh muscle so am resting it today. So while we are waiting for our ED I'm trying to keep fit and lose some weight.
We are off to Ireland on Thursday afternoon (weather permitting) for my niece's christening, I'm to be God-Mother so hope we get there.
Won't be on here while in Ireland as my Dad only had dial-up access which is to slow, so will catch up when I'm back.
hi pauline, thanks for your message! Have a wonderful time in Ireland.
I'm sure you guys were surprised to see so much snow the other day! Hope everyone made it around okay --
I'm at Pronatal so we are scattered all around. Reprofit has a great reputation, but I have heard the wait can be quite long. but hey, this journey is all about testing our patience -- best of luck to you on getting an appointment that works for you and DH. Prag in the spring must be lovely. I was there in the fall and just loved it.
chriss - how's things? just want you to know I'm thinking of you.
Pauline - hope you get to ireland ok and have a fab time xx
Kelly - hi hon - how are you and the beautiful babies - we need to see a picture xx
Chris - thinking of you - your time will soon be here !
Been for my consultation this afternoon at this new comlimentary therapy clinic - am going to have taylor made program to hep assist conception - well anything is worth a try and wants a few more hundred pounds in the IVF scale of things
Having accupuncure - apparently in chinese medicine the liver and kidney blood (????) is what helps and supports the womb and the supporting of embies to stick - so she tells me anyway- both my liver and kidney blood and pulse was virtually non existent and my tummy was cold to touch although rest of me was warm so that also hinders conception .. lost cause really - so having some accupuncture, some more counselling some reflexology and a session with the ostepath to amke sure my pelivis is all in place - already know got a tilted womb - but heyho like I say I think anything is worth a try and clinic is like 5 mins drive from home .. so had first lot of accupuncture this pm and all I want to do now is go to bed feel drained - DH is like sooo sceptical and yes dear if you think it will work off you go - £$£$£$- more money!!!
Hi guys, have to make this very quick...
Sumer, fingers crossed! Best of luck. It will be great. Keep us posted. Hi everyone else, will catch up another time. Nothing new here, on the wait list, waiting for my call. Love to you,
hi girls,
I am back and officially PUPO with 2 souvenirs from Prague...hooray! Transfer and everything went well. I test on the 25th...so a very long wait ahead of me.
carolyn, your new therapy sounds great - hope it will be just that little added extra that you need to do the trick. It is true with the kidneys, etc -- all connected to the yin/yang principle -- so when everything is all flowing positively, then you end up a healthier you -- chinese medicine has a lot to offer, and not just in terms of fertility. The principles behind it make for interesting reading.
chriss - thanks for your support, pal...I am positive the phone will be ringing soon at your house with news of a donor match for you and you will soon be on your way.
pauline, hope you are enjoying your visit to Ireland!
kelly - hope you and your babies are well. enjoy this time together. Are you working as well or are you at home?
Hey Summer!
OK, you are back and feeling good. I'm so happy for you. SO what are your plans for the 2ww? Keep busy, eat well, meditate too if you feel like it. I recommend soothing music as well. Come on line as often as you need support. As soon as you have doubts, change your thinking! Be positive.
carolyn, The doctor only said it is their policy to wait this long because this way you will know for sure at this point, and then the 1st u/s is only about week later. He said you can test earlier if you'd like, but they still want you on the meds and to test when they told you to. He was also only talking about a urine test and not a blood test -- curious to know what your clinic will say.
chriss - my plan for my extended 2ww is to just relax, keep breathing in the good and out the bad and try not to think to much. I have this week off from work and the rest of the month at work should be pretty easy, which I am glad about. My mother just sent me some yarn so I could knit her a scarf to match her new purse...I hope in a month to start knitting baby booties instead...now, wouldn't that be nice? thanks for the encouragement.
Hey, did you ever get those theraputic cd's? how do you like them?
hi summer - love the PMA - you are full of it - so pleased that you got lots planned to keep you busy !!
Have not got as far as discussing testing with clinic - typically in UK - they do blood test 14 days after ET - but know lots of clinics do different things
Keep up with the PMA - sending more sticky baby dust xxx
hi carolyn,
my other clinic also had me test after 14 days, which is why everyone calls it the (dreaded) 2 week wait, right? -- don't quite follow their thinking /reasoning here, but I'll go along with it as long as I can... My doctor will be open on the 20th, which is 2 weeks for me, then she'll be closed for the carnival time here and won't open again till the 25th, which is my given test day -- kind of funny how that works out...
hope you are doing well. By the time I test, February will be almost over, then March will be here and it will be your time!
Hi guys
Summer, yes I got the cd's. I listedn every night. It's only a 20 minute commitment. I feel encouraged. Remember, we are here for you to keep the PMA going.
