Morning ladies

Ems - I am really so sorry to hear your news. I know nothing can take the pain away but we are here for you if you need us.

Dar and sadmommy - Welcome to this thread. The girls are here really are wonderful and I am sure that you will get loads of support from them. Dar we test on the say date and it would be lovely to have a testing buddy. I had 2 2day old embrios put back on 9/9. This 2ww seems like it is lasting for ever. Like you I had alot of eggs -20 - and the bloating from before EC hasn't gone down at all yet. Also I have been having some funny feelings and a bit of discomfort. I just keep hoping that it is caused by my embrios sticking in fast. I know that I am very tempted to test early but I am not going to. (Well if I keep saying it enough eventually it will stick). I must say Dar you are doing my dream job as I would love to show dogs. I used to do some agility with one of my rescue dogs before she died and we started to do some very junior shows. However she had been very badly treated before I had here and was petrified of men, which meant we could only ever enter if the judges were women. It was such a shame because she loved going round the courses, and it was really good excercise for me. I have got 2 dogs now. I started to do some obedience with one of them, but I think she was too clever. After the first few weeks she knew exactly what was coming in the class and seemed to get very bored with it.

Debz, I am so glad you sent me to that site. The pictures of those wonderful embrios was the only thing that got me through a day of hell at work yesterday. Today will be bad, but hopefully not quite so bad and tommorow will be a nightmare. Still I just keep thinking that the embrios will be getting lots of blood flowing round and if they stick through this then they must be made of strong stuff.

JackieG - I am sorry to read your post earlier.

To everyone else I hope that you are all well and I can't wait to see some smiley faces on our thread.

Take care everyone
Angela

Hi all,

Quick update on how I got along with my appointment yesterday.
Doc said they were all so shocked that I got BFN. They said everything was perfect all the way. The eggs were top grade, the sperm the same and it was one of the easiest ICSI's they ever did, he laughed and said it was obvious that mine and DH's wanted to be together because they had a 90% fertilisation rate and it happened very quickly too. Anyway, they think that I just might have a good chance with the FET (assuming they thaw well) because officially there is nothing wrong with me (DH vasectomy). I will have a unmedicated cycle in early November and they will prescribe the pessaries to support. I genuinely feel quite hopeful as long as they thaw.

Becky, Emma & Vickie,
I am so so sorry for you girls & DH's. It is really crap this IVF. This month is not going well at all. Please don't give up, always believe in yourself. Look at me no #5 soon. I won't give up on myself and believe it or not you will find the strength.

JackieG,
Sorry to read what happened. Glad you are been positive and looking forward.

Jackoa,
Girl, things are looking good for you. Good luck with the scan today and great #'s honey.

Aunty,
Good luck with the stims honey. You will definitely be a BFP, I know it.

Souris,
Well done honey. Look how things change from cycle to cycle. You and I had such a bad run on previous ones but excellent results from this one (egg count and quality I mean). I am so pleased you are sitting pretty and looking after those little embies.

Everyone else on the 2WW, best of luck and loads of good thoughts for those on the stims and down reg.

Love Lisa XXX

Ems I am so sorry for you and DH, I know there is nothing anyone can do or say to make things better if there was I would wave a magic wand, just don't give up you will get there! Take care of yourself.

Jackie - keep your chin up

Vickie and Beckie - I hope you are feeling a bit better today probably not but wishful thinking. Have you decided what to do about changing clinics? I think success rates have a lot to do with a number of factors such as age and smoking etc.

Nims - am thinking of you whilst you are having your EC, hope it all goes okay and you have lots of lovely eggs! My menopur is going fine, alot easier that I thought. DH is mixing I just stand there with ice on my belly waiing for the needle!!

Isla - wow, you are a step nearer to EC let us know how you get on on the next scan.

Jemima - good luck with the shots , you'll be fine.

To the newbies - welcome you couldn't be in better hands

Take care everyone

Jemima: Good Luck with the Gonal 2moro :D Glad to hear ur on ur way -Our next plan - errrrrm - we are not sure yet, i want to able to go ahead and have this dream, but im frightened of going thru all this again and havign another BFN - its a scarey thought.

For the forseeable future tho, i have just booked our sailing accross the water home to Wales :D We go next Friday, im so looking fwd to seeing my friends (i havent seen them for over a year) and my family - i have 6 brothers and 1 sister (all older than me) we are very close, our mum & Dad died when i was young (9), so we tend to all get together every year or so - a family reunion kind of thing, and this time its to celebrate my brothers wedding :D No one knows what DH and i have been thru, so that will be nice, i dont want to see sad faces and the pityfull looks. It will be good fun i hope :)

Our review appointment is booked for 2nd November - we decided to give ourselves some time to get back to being 'us' for a few weeks. Im gonna try and lose some more weight, eat more healthy (after the wedding u understand - he's having a chocolate fountain - so looking fwd to that lol) and then see where we go from there.
Im going to 'hang around' with you ladies tho if u dont mind, i feel part of the big family here and i wouldnt want to lose that friendship :D

Dar and sadmommy: Hello and Welcome to September buddies. I really hope its a wonderful September for guys, you have come to the right place, ladies here are wonderful :D Welcome :) xx

Ang: Glad ur doing so well - did u get anyone to cover a few of the busy shifts u have comming up yet?? The niggely pains are normal hun - ur ovaries have been thru so much lately, they are setteling down, dont worry :)

Zirly: Wheres the PMA gone - i hope u got it back young lady!!! You have a lot to look fwd to :)

Islacraig (Ange) EC on Wednesday - yayyyy girl go for it. Well done on ur follies - they have plenty more time to grow - u'll get lots of lovely sticky eggs im sure :)

Aunty: How are u today hun? How are the shots going?
I was thinking when i saw ur update, how sad it looks with all the sad faces on it - so come on September Ladies - Keep up that PMA and lets see some smiley faces - (im gonna get soooo drunk when i see some)
na na na na na ! LOL

Lisa: Thats great news to hear ur gonna go ahead with FET in November - i wish u all the luck in the world hun - u so deserve it :) xx

My AF (the *****) is being really horrible to me right now, ive taken some pain killers but she not going away - its really quite painfull, i phoned the clinic to tell them and they said to keep using pain killers and use hot water bottle! Well im going in the bath to ease it .... will catch up with u all later, take care ladies

Thank you Ladies for such a warm welcome. Aunty Pebbles I am goign to try to answer your questions. I can just smack myself fornot knowing that I shoudl have asked these questions. I tried to go through this by myself and I am so glad I found this website!! What I cant answer Iwillcall theoffice today and get the answer.

please forgive me im trying to understand your cycle... so you had 21 mature eggs? Yes ..if yes wow and well done on that count thats fantastic....and you let these go to day 5 blasts? Yes how many little ones do you have now?...(I thinkK 17) have you been for transfer? Yes. Monday 9/11. how many embies did you have transfered back? ONE AA...did you have any to freeze?.. Yes and I don not know the exact number. From what I saw there maybe about 10 to freeze. I will check with the office today.

I went in to the office yesterday to check my estrogen/proges and ...they werelow. Needed to double estrogen pills and start taking proges shot again. Nurse explained lining needs to be thicker. Has anyone heard of this. Does this mean that the transfer did not work?

5 more days until test........feel as if I may need one more cycle....

Ems - I am so sorry to hear ur news, i totally know how it feels! - Not nice!

We have pretty much made our minds up that we will be changing clinics. I wouldn't feel confident going back there and if i feel like that then why pay so much money for it?

Welcome to the new girls, i'll still b sticking around to c how u all get on!

Becky - AF isn't being very kind to me either, the three of us didn't have any luck on our 1st attempts did we? Its so hard. DH and i have had a long chat and decided to try and get positive for our next attempt now. The clinic i want to go to in London takes blood daily and then phones you in the afternoon to tell you how much drug to take-it sounds like they monitor u very closely!

Its a really tough decision and if it didn't work again it'd be so devestating but we have 2 give it a shot!

Everyone: Thanks for the warm welcome - I really don't know why I was fearful of writing before this.

Zirly: Thanks for all the info on testing. I don't want to test 'this' early. I was hoping to do so on the 21st - before I left for the Regionals. But I'll try and stick it out.

Ang: I'm gald to know someone is counting till the 25th as much as I am:-) Re: the dogs - I show Rottweilers. German style & Schutzhund. It's nothing like th eAKC ring - there is a TON of running involved, tons of stamina - hence, why I wanted to know before I left. I've done agility in the past, but schutzhund is my passion now:-)

Aunty poor thing, I know that the most important thing is that the meds works, but if you could have some painless injections, that would be good too!!

Emma (27) good luck with the stimms! wishing you loads of follies!

Lisa, that is some very encouraging news! I hope your FET will work, keep the PMA running girl!

Jemma how exciting! your are finally starting! dont be scared about the injection, it will be fine and all worth it!

Becky, I am sure you will have a good time with your sis and bros, that is all you need right now, a lot of love.

A quick question guys about injection:
I have one to do tonight, intra muscular. Where should I do it?? In my thigh or bum? If I do it in my bum, how do I know I wont touch a nerve??
Is the "fat" side of my bum ok??

I have had some womb cramps, hope it is some trauma from EC, not Af being early...Otherwise, I am ok

love to all!
