Just thought I would fill you in. We have 8 eggs which will be fertilized today and we will know tomorrow dinner what survives.

Unfortunately we have to have a "freeze all".. so ET has been cancelled.I have water (?) in my uterus and this means that we cannot proceed with treatment for 3/4 months until it has been sorted. Any embryos will have to be frozen until then, so looks like could be April before ET.

I have no idea why or how it is there or how it will be sorted and need to contact the nurses.

We are majorly disappointed and extremely sad.

I am sure the time will fly (again!!) and I can have a bottle of red wine tonight (or two!) What a plus!!!

So gutted because we didn't expect anything like this. I was so positive and excited this morning....

Oh Julie My sweeheart i am so sorry to hear that!!!

I have never heard of that before...water in the uterus????

On a plus note your cycle has been a mega one with 8 eggs and hopefully all will be fertilsed by tomorrow night and frozen as 4 cells frosties. What a bummer that you have to wait...again looking on the bright side your body will have recovered from all the stimming and you will be more ready to take an embie or 2 on board...

I totally understand your dissapointment though..that is some let down after getting this far..enjoy a bottle or two tonight...

Oh Julie swettie, I'm so sorry you have to put your transfer on hold, I have never heard of water in the uterus either... 8 eggs is very good, hopefully you will be getting the news tomorrow that all 8 have fertilized.. Can totally understand why you are disappointed and sad, you get right to EC to be told you can't go ahead with ET, that must be hard. April will be here before you know it, you wil be cycling with me and Nicki then so thats good..!! Take Care hun and enjoy your wine..

Jen - Yes I am feeling lots better, I feel really positive about my next cycle... Have you decided which clinic you might have your tmt at, have you got lots of info from ED thread? Summer will be here before you know and you and Adam will be happily married and going abroad to sort out ED.. Sounds like you did have a good weekend, even though you couldn't ski. Broc will love staying with his grandparents for the weekend... hope he doesn't get up to mischief.?!

Praying you get 8 fertilied eggs. I really i am going hope and pray for ya honey, let us know when u can.

Julie - what a nightmare, but at least you have 8 super eggs and it will give your body time to get rid of the drugs. It will then be more like a natural pregnancy and more likely to get pregnant!! Keep us posted on how many fertilise - am thinking of you

Jen, Lucy, Nicky - hope things are good with you guys?

I spoke to my clinic yesterday and all being well I should be looking at ET around the 12/13/14th Feb if AF behaves herself!! It looks like it will work out quite well time wise as the ET should fall during half term and I will then be able to have a week off without having to tell people why. I'm also going to book in for a pamper day the weekend before so I will be totally stress free (thats the plan anyway!!). My accupuncturist said everything looks fine and dandy and she wants to see me before and after the transfer so its all systems go. Feeling good about this one!

Just thought I would fill you in. Have 5 embryos which survived the process so that is good news!!!

and like you say at least i will be drug free when the time comes!! Have contacted the nurses but have to wait an appointment about my fluid. Could be down to the drugs (Puregon) I have been on but fluid likely to be toxic and could result in miscarriage so have to be checked out. Just hope it is soon.

We feel a lot better today though. Hope you are all ok KATE - really happy for you!! xx

Julie - good news on the embies, 5 is good, did they tell you what grade they were? Glad you're both feeling a bit better, you'll be having your ET before you know it hun....

Kate - not long then now for you to wait for ET, thats good that it falls in half term (well if AF arrives on time, huh?) The pamper day sounds lovely, go and get de-stressed before having your babies out back where they belong... Have a good feeling about this cycle for you Kate.

JULIE THATS GREAT NEWS THAT YOU HAVE a HIGH 5 EMBIES..(.oops just noticed that it was in caps...sorry) Is it some sort of allergic reaction to the puregon??? Is it sore??? Could it be slight OHSS with so many follies purged thay can fill up with fluid and but i don't see how that would get in the womb?? Confusing i hope you find out more about this!!! Will/could it happen again? Glad to hear that you are feeling better inyourself...is sad though that you have to wait but as i said before your body will be a temple free of any drugs so A okay for transfering Embies for a BFP!!! roll on April!!!!

Kate great news that it will be Feb valentines day-ish transfer!!!! How wonderful it is that day! Good choice on pampering yourself too before hand..that will set you up for a BFP for sure... hugs

I have been mega shopping today with all my christmas money and vouchers...I bought 1 dressy shirt, 1 pair casual/dressy trs, 1 cami top, 1 cahmire cardi for over my wedding dress, and 1 jumper as well as a beautiful silk nightie for wedding night...some of it was in the sale the ashmire and silk edged cardi was reduced from £110 to £20 and the night from £45 to £22.50. Oh and a fab bikini ( pink) ...made me look at myself in those horrrible changing room mitrrors and have vowed to tone up my legs and arms as best i can before i put on that wedding dress...I am happily shopped out now and just need to get confetti for the wedding day !!! Getting excited now!!!

Lucy- On the Egg Donor front i am still pricing stuff out and discussing with Adam. Will let you all know when we have contacted the clinic and sorted out preliminary checks etc...

Lucy and Kate, you sound really upbeat both of ya about forthcoming IVF, so all in all the pheonixes, looking very full of PMA!!!

Me: I have seen GP, who says that he can fund us our drugs on nhs, so thats all good, and IVF appointment is on 16th Feb, so until then just keeping healthy and good!!!

Got appt through for "investigation"....7 Feb. Lets see what it brings. No info from nurses...brick wall really....but so lucky re 5 embies so keeping faith!

Lucy - How are you hun? Hope ok and funding comes off. Hope ya dad comes up trumps for ya witht he money too.

Jen - Not long to the wedding!! Glad enjoyed shopping trip - retail therapy done ya good! Hope feel better and don't feel left behind with treatment. We are paving the way for your BFP!!
