oh kandice I really hope for your sake that they check and check again before doing anything but I'm also praying really hard that this is a pregnancy for you and that you have a little fighter in there who is struggling to stay put.

I can't imagine what this is doing to you emotionally and the stress it is all causing is not helping. Stay strong.

hi everyone

sorry, dont have time to do personals as there are so many of you who i need to reply to but just thought i would update you on my situation:

well, the clinic finally called me back yesterday and we're going for another fresh cycle with my may AF, so will start downregging in june. i asked them if the chances go up or down with subsequent cycles and she said they stay the same at this point. they gave us a 40% chance for our first cycle so she reckons the same. she couldnt give me any answers as to what went wrong but then i knew she wouldnt be able to. i know that unfortunatly its just a luck-game sometimes. she said i had textbook embryos put back in (2 top quality 8 cell embies) so it was then just down to nature. i did ask her whether there is anything we can do about our number of mature eggs (we had 15 eggs but only 5 were mature) and she said they dont suggest upping my dose of stimms as i had enough follies as it was (and they dont want to overstimulate me) but they'll probably just leave me for an extra day or 2....so it all sounds fairly good. on the one hand i was hoping they'd have other plans but then again i'm pleased that they did everything right this time and that it was just bad luck....know what i mean??

anyway, so we're going again in june!!!!!!! wooooohooooooo!!!!!!!!! we need to sort a second mortgage out to pay for it, which wont come through by then so dh has suggested to put the cycle on the credit card for now so we could start asap again and then pay the credit card off with the second mortgage.....bless him!!

thats it for me...i do feel better now we have a plan again!!

i promise i'll do personals soon and i'm thinking of all of you!!

Shantala....Thats great that u have a date to look fwd to, and yahhhh!!! for credit cards!!!! and good luck witht eh remortgage on your house!! do u have much equity in your house?? I know that prices in Reading are high and climbing higher so sure you'll be ok with the £££'s. We moved from Reading for that reason, the price of living was silly!!! we sold our maisonette in 2000, for £80,000 and bought a 3 bed house in Ipswich for £70,000.....!!!!

OMG!!! in fact In between posting here, ive gone to rightmove .com and found our old flat for sale at £155,000 OMG!! Shantala, ive have to email you teh link!!! LOL!!!! it's doubled in price in 7 yrs!!! shit!!!!

Hi everyone, I am back from the EC and they were able to get 11 eggs. I am really happy with the number since we were only expecting 9. I should hear how many are mature and how many fert on friday. So now the waiting begins.

Sonya, WOO HOO 9 eggies! I am so happy for you that is a great number! Can't wait to hear your fert report.

Nimble, so glad to your your embabies are back home with you where they belong.

Hi girls...first day back at work today and i felt like i was taking deliberate slow moves...so as to protect my embies...they were on my mind pretty much all the time!

So sonya and jill fab number of eggs!! Hope Dh's sperm are swimming and partying nicely with your eggs!!

Anie...even at my clinic the nurses have done everything..from deciding doses to scans and bloods, the only time i've seen a doc is at ET, still haven't met the consultant.

Nicky...well done..congrats on yor first stimming! now grow follies grow...hope you get loads-enough for you and your donor...such an admirable thing youre doing!

Rae...good luck for tomorrow...12 week milestone!

Well I am just sittin here all drugged up. I now completely understand the ladies that said they were having a lot of pain! I am really hurting..I think I am going to call the clinic in the AM if I am still in this much pain. The meds just dont seem to be taking the pain away!

Chvonne- I have a friend who is pregnant not from IVF but I was telling her about the progesterone shot and she was saying in pregnancy your progesterone level is what causes morning sickness, so it could be the shot or it could be that you are PREGNANT!!! Sorry for the way you are feeling hopefully there is a good explanation behind it!!!

Miss Piggy- Good Luck with your 2 embies, I hope they are really strong and get through this to give you a BFP!!

SOKRU- My trigger shot was inner muscle also, and I was so scared My DH and I were at a wedding it had to be given at 9pm so we went out to the car and did it and everything was fine, but I was really nervous , luckily it went in on the first time but I totally movedmy leg on accident so I was the one saying “Sorry sorry sorry” …..Congrats on your 9 folies


Kandice- What is the robinhood.com?? I check it out but not sure what it is ive never heard of it?? Didn’t see the date of your post, did you already have your EC if so how did it go??

Sha- I saw you had a painful EC how many eggs did they take out?? Mine was very painful too, I had 34 eggs taken out and im wondering if that is the reason? I felt alright when I was leaving the clinic but the next day I went to work and it was horrible I had to leave work and go back to the clinic for an ultrasound, they said my ovaries are very enlarged and I do have some fluid but not enough to have OHSS but they do want to watch me for it, have you called your clinic to tell them how are you feeling? What kind of pain are you feeling ? today I guess I am feeling better but im also taking it really easy so Im not sure!! Get lots of rest

KIA- How are you feeling after your EC?? How many eggs did they get? DO you know how many fertilized yet??

Annie- 16 follies is more then a great start for your first US, of course you feel bloated your follies are growing like crazy, I felt the same way I think a lot of women did as well, I felt huge, I never weighed myself though at this point I don’t even want to know!! Now I had my EC and I feel even bigger!!!


Nimble- YAY , YAY the babies are home !!! How excited are you right now that’s wonderful!!
Hope your embies are snuggling in nice and tight, did you do a 3 or 5 day transfer

Kandice- I’m thinking of you and hoping that you have a strong embie in there holding on, get lots of rest, update us soon I know we all will be thinking of you!! Did they say why you could have such strong numbers with AF??


Jstrandlund- can’t wait till Friday, 11 is a good amount of eggs hopefully the majority of them will fertilize. I feel like this waiting has been really hard I also had my EC on Monday and waiting everyday for these phone calls to find out how many are good and what growing stage they are at, this part is going really slow for me too!! Good luck!!

Sha- one more thing, it’s so good you have another date set and something to look forward to, you have handled everything so well and thank god you have a great DH who is so supportive, I wish you the best of luck your story has really touched my heart and then you are so positive about everything and that’s great , I wish you and DH best of luck on your next cycle!!


As for me Im not feeling too good after my EC im extremely sore , I went back to work yesterday and I walk a lot at work so that didn’t help any, I ended up going back to see the Dr and he put me off for the next 2 weeks, which is nice to be at home but not when I cant get anything done around the house either, time to call the maid, my transfer is Sat so I will be off the week after my transfer and the week before which is nice, they want me to relax and get plenty of rest before the transfer
Yesterday when the embryologist called we had 17 fertilized embryos today we have 16 2 of them are 2cell 1 is a 3cell and 11 are 4cells, does anyone know what this means?? They did tell us awhile back how they are supposed to devlop but we have gotten so much new information I don’t remember everything, if anyone can explain this it would help ….Thinking of you all Sorry to anyone I missed!!![/color][/color]

smattison - Sorry to hear your not feeling well, but at least it's a good day for you good result from your doc. I started my Ganerilix tonight right after my menopur and follistim. I did not take Lupron, I started with BC pills for 10 days after I stop bc pills I have baseline scan then 5 days after stoping bc pills I started stimming 225 follistim and 75 menopur AM/PM and tonight I added 250 Ganerilix at PM. My dates are:
4/2 (Monday) possible trigger and 4/4(Wednesday) EC. What are your dates? that would be cool if our dates are the same. Hope your feeling better.

kandice - Thanks for the info my dr did not come I just got a call from my nurse.
