Ester.....I think that 10units is normal. That's what I'm on and that's what I was on before with my own eggs. Lupron is supposed to suppress the ovaries and then u have AF and then the stims make the follicles grow. It's been a while since I did that protocol, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I had a headache yesterday. I took some tylenol and drank alot of water and the water makes huge difference. Stay hydrated. So....you're a Scorpio too? Mine birthday is Nov 7. Oh...and I read that u don't have to refrigerate lupron, but the nurse told me too this time, when she didn't last time. I think it's fine out. After all, it doesn't come packed in ice with the big label.

macfamily - your post made me tear up!! Just seeing someone get good betas and how it's becoming real for you.... and thanks for the note on how not-crazy I am. I am so happy for you, when is your due date? Mine is July 7th! (first time I wrote that out...) and... it's also the third anniversary of our first miscarriage... which.. I think is a good omen... like we are getting to associate that date with joy instead of sadness.

1) it doesn't need to be refrigerated, right?

2) it says it's a 14-day supply, but it seems like there's such a little amount in there. i'm on 10 units/day. is this normal?

3) do the side effects kick in pretty quickly? i only did 1 injection last night & i'm SO tired & have a headache, although i also stopped the coffee.

4) we did the injection at 7. can we do it at like 6:15 tonight? what's the window? i know w/ follistim, we were told an hour beforfe or an hour after was ok.

5) so af is due this friday, but when the nurse called yesterday to leave me a message that i can start lupron, she said i should get it in about 11 days, which would be the following tuesday. oh boy, that's novemeber 2nd- my birthday, lol! does that mean af is delayed slightly due to the lupron?

6) is 10 units the normal amount? i've heard of some women needing to be cancelled due to lupron. now, i won't be monitored until af starts, so how would they know if this may be happening?

3) I had headaches within minutes of my injections... Tylenol!
4) I was told 1 hour window with Lupron as well.
5) My understanding is Lupron just suppresses ovulation. I started mine while still on BCP then stopped the pills and had a very light period a couple days later... so I'm not sure about the delay. Sorry...
6) 10 units is what I did, I heard some women hafta do more because they ovulate through the Lupron. Maybe that's why their cycles get cancelled???

My doctor INSISTED on my Lupron being refridgerated..... even when we went to vegas I had to carry a cooler....

Moorebaby- Awesome that baby in a box arrived so exciting I didnt put Lupron in the fridge just the folliston... I know it doesnt look like much in the bottle but it goes a long way... I also did ten units so that sounds right to me, I also got headaches right away and I dont drink coffee so I think that is normal.... Drink lots of water and take tylenol for the headaches, a cold clothe on the forehead also helped me when they got real bad...

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just took a pregnancy test and I saw another line. Maybe it was too soon. OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I know it can change but after 3 distinct NEGATIVES......I FINALLY GET A FAINT POSITIVE. It was definitely faint but it was THERE!!!!!!!!!!

Being that I'm 8 days past my retrieval and 11 days past my transfer.....what do you all think??????????

Hey everyone-
I can't believe how this group keeps growing- more stories to compare to!

AFM, my 2nd beta on Thursday was 393. My doctor said that she felt all numbers were good (progesterone & estrogen included) and would see me again Nov 2nd for the pregnancy scan. She said there was a good possibility we may see the heartbeat (I'll be 6 weeks an 1 day for the appointment). I was surprised that there would not be an additional beta...... I wish I was having one this week just to quell my fears!

Got the report today from the Doctors office. Only one of the embryos has divided, the other has not. She said the one that hasn't divided could catch up, but she wasn't very hopeful. Anyway just wanted to update you all. Thanks for the encouragement ladies!

Annie I hope for the best for you!!! I've heard of way too many success stories from one lil' embie to think that you are out of the game. You'll be doing a three day transfer, right? Prepare yourself now with some good meditation, rest, and yummy meals.
