why hello, party people. i recognize many of your names and pics and am now stopping by (although i've been stalking all of you) to tell you that i think i'm getting back in the game. assuming i actually get the period that i feel coming on later tonight, i'm goin' in tomorrow for my initial ultrasound and to get my birth control prescription for the next couple of weeks. get ready for some craziness cause i'm ready to bring it.

Hi ladies. I have been reading some of your posts and see that I'm in a similar boat as some of you. I'll try to be as quick as I can to explain. I'm a first grade teacher in CA. I have 2 sisters and we are carriers for fragile x. My oldest sis decided to adopt and I have a wonderful nephew. My middle sis is not married and never had kids. I'm 37 and have been doing IVF for almost a year. We have had 3 egg retrievals and I got a cyst in between cycle 1 and 2. We had a scheduled transfer last week with 8 eggs (fresh and frozen). An hour before our transfer we found out only 5 made it and all the eggs were affected. 3 girls and 2 boys. DH and I are heartbroken. We've been together for 18yrs. and married for 3. He went to medical school and bought a house....waited to start a family and now here we are. How could all of those embies have been affected?? We thought our odds were better. I thought maybe 2 at the least. I'm not getting any younger and our RE recommended ED before. If you have the time I would love some advice. Should we try again of am I crazy? Will we just have the same results? Thanks for any advice.

So, no HPT today. I ran out of tests yesterday and did not buy anymore. I figured that it would be ok given the dark blue positive yesterday and th spending Beta this morning. So I am on my way to my RE's office to have Beta. Will keep you posted. Sending you all lots of love.

Lauren - So excited and happy you are going for it again!!! This will be your lucky #3!!! We need this to work for us fragile ladies!!!

Teachergirl – I can totally understand your heartbreak! It is so sad. I was told that there is a 10% chance all can be affected and to not expect a perfect 50/50 split. When my testing was complete there was only 1 to transfer, but 3 that were inconclusive. One of which made it to freeze, but who knows if it will survive the thaw and re-test? That really bothers me too, not knowing the answer. I thought the same as you, that my odds were good and that there would be at least 2 to transfer. What does your DH think about trying again? Donor eggs?

Lauren- Welcome to the summer board! I'm counting on #3 being my lucky cycle, so hopefully it will be yours too!

Teachergirl- I am so sorry to hear that you didn't have an embryos to transfer. I know that must have been devastating. I don't have much advice to offer, but I know that there are many women on these boards that have used donor eggs and embryos with a lot of success. I think once that baby is growing in you, it is 100% your baby.

Sunshine- I know that we are all devastated to read Leora's news. Following little Asaf's journey on the blog was really so heartbreaking. Leora is a wonderful woman, and I also wish there was something we could do for her. For now I will pray that she and David find some peace and comfort.

Ninde- I really don't know anything about the nasal spray, but I would definitely call the RE and see if they have any advice.

AFM- HPT lines still getting darker Just praying that it sticks and my beta on Monday is strong!

i was just wondering, how were u diagnosed with fragile X ?? i mean with which test?? is it karyotype or any kind of blood test ???

I'd be hesitant to post email addresses, etc, on the forum because of spammers.... there is a private message button on all our of profiles... we could just send her a personal message with birthday wishes, cyber hugs, etc. She also has a blog for her boys, so perhaps you could send her a message that way too...

AFM-OMG I just got a call as I am posting and I am totally distracted! I have embabies still growing and possibly for FREEZE tomorrow! There not sure if they will make it they are still watching them but OMG they might!!!!!!! I am praying ladies that they make it...can you believe this???? Is this a good sign? Can you tell Im freaking out and my DH I cant get ahold of! lol

In case u didn't see my other post...I started bleeding last night and today went to re and a blood clot was seen now home in bed.

Now day by day hoping the bleeding stops....anyone heard of this?

Prayersnpies- Congrats on being PUPO!!!! Those 2 embies are going to make you a proud mama in 9 months!!! ...no I haven’t POAS! I still don’t have it in me I think!! on all past 6 IVF’s i had I only POAS the 1st IVF and that was 2yrs ago! ...i still have that 2nd HPT (there were 2 in a box) somewhere! Maybe I will dig it out! Don’t know!...I hope my little embie is still in there and growing and sooner or later the beta will tell me the truth...

Ninde- I am sorry I can’t help you on that since I don’t know anything about nasal sprays!...but I hope you feel better today!!!

Fruit- how’s my crazy 2ww buddy doing today? I hope you are staying away from those sticks for a few more days at least! ...don’t know if I will pee! I can’t say that I am not thinking about it! I am very tempted to test! but I don’t know!! I am scared of the negative!!! Will see...maybe I get weak and POAS on Sunday too...I need to find my second stick from 2yrs ago...how soon do HPT’s expire btw? ...I am SURE you are seeing that second line Sunday morning!!! I can’t wait to congrats you!!!!

Lauren- WOOHOO!!! That is excellent news my friend!!! ...there’s something I don’t get! Don’t they freeze if any ones left on the day of the ET? Have they told you that they will keep monitor them?...whatever the case is this is awesome! You will get your BFP with the ones that are growing right now inside you and you will make siblings for them later on with the snowbabies!!!! Yay!!!!!

AFM- My little embie’s status report: today is 6dp-5dt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood!! Yay!!! I really hope and pray that is is exactly what is happening inside me!!!! Wouldn’t that be great!! ...the big question now! To pee or not to pee!!! I tempted and scared to POAS at the same time! I will dig in my closet and find the 2nd HPT that left from the box I opened back in Sept 2009 when i had my 1st IVF...how long do you think is the life span of a stick!? If I find the strength I will POAS Sunday morning....and of course NO word to DH about it!...otherwise I will find out on Tuesday morning when I go for my beta...boring i know...so, I got to go pick up my mom from somewhere, take her to pick up her car and then come back home to get DH and go to my SIL for dinner....gotta go!!! Have a great Friday night girls!!!

alwaysangel- OH no! just read your post! so sorry honey! ...I am sure there's an explenation for this that it will not harm your embies!! seeing blood seems to be something completely normal in the 1st semester!!! and especially with IVF'rs! try to stay calm and relax your self as much as possible! I am sure the blood will stop soon! i will pray for you!!! ((HUGS))

Thanks a million for your kind wishes. I'm feeling a lot better today, I can only imagine it must be the spray. I've a sneaking suspicion Im on a different timeline to most of you, I'm in Ireland so apologies if my posts are either late or early!

Wehavehope: Thanks a million for your offer. I'm on Suprecur. I've googled a lot but nothing about effect on period but thats been the only change in my life so it must be that. Good luck to you today!
