Hello All,

Just popped on quickly. Sorry to hear so many of you have colds.

Vita how did the scan go?

I had a horrible scare today. I went to my doctors as I still feel so poorly. My crohn's has been really horrible. He rushed me to see the surgical team at hospital because he thought I had an absess on my bowel and needed emergency surgery!! Thankfully it is just a flare up which is causing the pain.

I'll check in tomorrow, off to bed now!

Jo,

I'm sorry to hear that your crohns has been acting up. Take it easy!

Justine:

I hope your cold goes away. My doctor said that colds tend to linger when you are pregnant. :(
I was able to talk my doctor in to giving me an ultrasound!! I am having a boy! :D DH and I are so excited! I really felt like it was a boy. He was really moving all over the place.............kicking his legs and moving his arms. He finally moved his foot out of the way and we could see his little parts.

Take care all,
Tammy

Congratulations Tammy, how wonderful, a little Andrew it is!! :D Hope you got the exams graded before you found out....I should imagine it is hard to concentrate now.

Jo, I hope you are ok. This pregnancy lark really mucks about with your immune system, hey. I admire your strength, I am not sure that I would be so positive in the same circumstances. Take care and try and get some rest.

Kareen, hope you are enjoying your week off! Hope you are spending lots of time off your feet and enjoying listening to the babies. How exciting.

Vita, any news on that third baby yet!!! I hope he/she cooperated at your appointment and that all your husband's family's dreams came true (phew). Can't wait to see a picture of your bump...I can only imagine how big 3 babies must be!

Justine, how are the feet? The crocs seem amazing, I may have to investigate as I am sure that once summer hits here I am going to blow up like a balloon! Really not looking forward to that. Thanks for the tips on the baby book, you don't really think about these things until it is too late. I too will take some pictures of my belly...just waiting until I actually look pregnant and not just fat! I hope you are feeling better.

Well I have finally hit the 20 week mark...yay...never thought I would be here! All is still good except for my teeth...they do not like being pregnant. I am off to the dentist yet again today and I am hoping that I leave with as many teeth as I arrived with. Well better stop dilly dallying and get to work.

Take care and.....it is Friday!!! Yay!!!

Cheers

Hey Ladies,

Jo, im so sorry you are feeling so awful, I hope the flare will disappear soon. You are really a hero ! I truly admire you positive you remain throughout this tough time. Hope you feel better soon.

My doctors appointment went really well today but baby # 3 just doesnt want to show off what he or she has, but the doctor suspects its a boy, i really would love a girl but if not then i am completely content with three wonderful little boys!! I will definitly be the minority in the house but as long as they are healthy thats all that matters to me. I think when i have my detailed scan next week we might know for sure. But till then It is confirmed 2 boys and still 1 unknown!

Kareen, Heather, Justine, Tammy and Hayley hope you all are doing well.
Ladies with the colds i was told by a friend to peel a single garlic and cut it up into a few pieces and swallow with water.... apparently it gets rid of the cold.... but i cant imagine what it will do for a heartburn (ouch)
With Gods Blessings BFP!

Good Morning All,

You do make me smile, I may be strong on here but I do cry lots! lol Yesterday was really scary. My doctor said I would need an operation, I was so worried that I would lose the baby. I know it means so much to be but didn't realise just how much until the risk of losing it all!

All the problems I'm suffering isn't because of the pregnancy and the pregnancy isn't making things worse, it just means I can't have the medication I really need. My gastronentrologist (however you spell him) is recommending I go on a course of steriods, as if I wasn't big enough, I'm going to look like Fatima Whitbread!

Kareen how are you? I've been thinking of you. I hope you haven't suffered with that awful weather too much. I hope you haven't lost your itnernet connection! How's your week off going? Can't be fun if the weather will stop you going out or maybe that's a good thing, I'm mubbling now aren't I??!!!

Tammy, wow congratulations on your little boy. I can't remember how far back you said you thought it was a boy, that's amazing! I always wanted an older brother, you little girl is going to be spoilt rotten when she arrives!

Justine hope your appointment goes ok today. There's no reason why it won't! Where abouts are you? For some reason I thought you were in the UK but then saw the time you posted (4.50am) so thought better of it! You're little ones are going to be such good friends. It's lovely having them so close. Sophie is adorable.

Heather I know what you mean about hitting a mark with 20 weeks. Every week I think yay but 20 weeks it starts counting down! Hope the dentist is gentle with you.

Vita, it is looking quite likey for it being a girl with regard to it's shyness and modesty but it's lack of co-operation is pointing to a boy! lol Are the other two identical?

Hayley how are you? Hope everything is ok. Is there a pink glow coming from your house yet? lol

Hope you all get those pictures on soon!

Have a great weekend.

Take care

Jo

Hi Kareen

Wish I was going shopping. I'm a shopaholic me but sort of housebound now so just internet shopping for me! I love going round the baby shops, those odd little bits you need soon add up, especially when you're buying for two (or three!).

Do you know what style pram you want? I thought for ages, it had to be right, it's one of the most expensive purchases. I decided as I have to walk to the school 4 times a day I wanted one with good suspension, with a carrycot (so I don't have to wake the baby up, it can sleep in the pram when we are down stairs), I wanted fixed wheels and wheels that you pump up. I'm going to get an umbrella pushchair when it's 3 months and I will use that one for going in the car as my big one will be too big for that really.

I had a three wheeler double buggy when I had Jodie (Emma was only 54 weeks old), it looked fantastic, pushed nicely, just fit into the car etc but when they got to the stage of sitting up, although the back went up for them to sit, the handle was just a little too far away for them to sit comfortably so there was always a gap between their back and the back of the seat - if you get what I mean. Something to think about.

My steriliser and monitor arrived yesterday. I've got the Tommee Tippee monitor which has a movement sensor pad too. It was £99 in Mothercare but Boots have it on special offer of £66 (and points too!) lol. For the steriliser I've gone for the electronic steam one.

Right off to the diabetic clinic now

Speak soon

Jo

hi jo...

i havn't a clue about prams/pushchairs....i saw a lovely pram before i found out it was twins.... it had a carrycot and converted into a pushchair and came with everything including car seat,.....but thats out the window now... ive looked at a few pushchairs.... i suppose something practical and sturdy that will do from birth to 2 mabye 3 years is something i would go for... our car has a spacious boot(picasso) so size isnt an issue.....

its hard to choose for twins... i cant decide what kind of pushchair to get but i do know i want side-by-side....so one isnt stuck behind the other  ...

are you going to find out what flavour your having?...would you like a little boy seeing as you have 2 girls, though im sure as long as the baby is healthy...thats priority!!!! what are the girls thoughts on the new arrival... i bet they excited....

have a nice day..

yep definately agree with side by side, easier to get up and down the kerb!

We are definately going to find out the flavor (if it co-operates). I really really don't mind what it is. I've actually got 4 girls. 2 are teenagers from my first marriage. I haven't mentioned them before, not that I'm ashamed of them or anything just people think I'm crazy wanting more. We are so very very lucky having them when so many of you struggled. I feel that people will think I'm selfish but it really isn't like that. It really doesn't feel like I have 4, it's more two 2's. Hannah and Alice are never home, always out, this one will be mine and Paul's third. I'm sorry I have never mentioned them :(

Jodie asks me every day if the baby is coming today, she wants to see it. She says " you can have it today, I'll help you", in her cute little 3 year old voice! Emma is a quiet child but every now and then will come over and kiss my belly!

The diabetic clinic went really well apart from getting on the scales, I've put on approx 32lb already. They've told me it's because of all the insulin and I shouldn't worry, the most important thing is to have tight control on the diabetes and I can lose weight next year. If you're sugars are high they can lead to birth defects. My blood results which measures your average sugar level over the passed 3 months was 6.4. This is the best I've ever had, before I was pregnant it was around 12/15 so I'm so pleased.

I was reading a magazine while I was waiting about large babies being born to diabetic mum's, all over 15lb!! Probably not the best thing to read!

Enjoy your shopping. Paul's just taken Jodie to nursery in her wellies (her not him) it is peeing it down!

Speak soon

Thank you both.

I love them in wellies too. I have a lovely picture of Jodie last year in a beautiful summers dress sitting in the garden on a beautiful summers day with a pair of wellies on! She has her own sense of dress which usually involves getting changed about four times a day! I call it second child syndrome (although she's the fourth there's such a big gap).

Justine are you going to have the baby at the Rosie then? I was due to have Jodie there (we live about 40 minutes from there) but there wasn't any neonatal beds when I went into labour so ended up having her at Bedford, it was the closed hospital with a bed (although a 150 mile round trip for Paul!). Jodie is extremely cute, she is always helping, tonight I caught her taking the full bin liner out of the bin and putting a new one in - I just heard all these huffs and puffs!

Glad your appointment went well. Did you get to hear him?

Kareen how did the shopping go? Hope you found a pram you liked and didn't max Darren's card out (well not too much!) lol

We just bought a new car, we got a Galaxy this time (about time really), there isn't many cars which will accept three car seats in the back! I too would love a bettle convertable. My best friend who lives in Portugal has one, they're lovely but not practical.

Have a great weekend

Jo
