JDC, keep your chin up. I was also disappointed and only had 4 mature eggs, and only 3 fertilized. But it worked and can work for you too. When will you get your update on how many fertilized?

Hello ladies. I am so upset because I just did a list of personals and I don't know what happened but when I hit submit, I was logged out. So I'm not going to do them again at this moment but I will do them later today.

I have only 2 more days until beta (11/26) and the wait is getting harder. I gave in last night and did a hpt, which was 7 days past 5dt, and I got a faint positive. I don't what to think of that since it was only 3 days before beta??? I have a question, when the embryo implants, will I for sure have bleeding or spotting. I have been cramping on and off since about 3 days after ET but I haven't had any spotting or bleeding. I'm staying positive and looking to get a BFP on Wednesday!

Karen can you put me on the board pleassssssse  ET was 11/16, beta 11/26. Thank you. Your dedication is very much appreciated! Also, isn't is good to have a doctor that is so caring. It is very refreshing and makes things all the better.

To all of the ladies I hope that everything is going well for you.

wishing_4_blessings- i didnt have any spotting either just some sharp cramps 2 days before my beta. its definitely not a necessity to getting a BFP... plus a faint line on a HPT is a good sign. Don't take it as 100% just yet but definitely keep your faith up! Can't wait to find out- just 2 more days. Let us know asap

Hi Ladies,

I just have a question. I just got a call from my doctor and they have now upped my Follistim to 300 a day - starting tomorrow I am to take 150 in the morning and 150 at night - does anyone know why this is?

wishing_4_blessings - A faint line is a definate good sign. You are way past trigger so it isn't a false positive. You can make it till the 26th. Just hang in there and that faint line should make you very happy and a lot less stressed.

JDC - i know you have heard it before but 3 embies is good. We just have to keep our fingers crossed that they all fertilize. You will get your BFP again.

foreverlove - You probably arn't responding as well as they want you to. Don't worry this happens to a lot of ladies.

bell-02 - I also went and saw Twilight this weekend. My SIL and 13 yr old neice got me hooked on the books. I read all 4 in 2 weeks. They were and easy read and I couldn't put them down. Now I can't wait till the next movie comes out, though that will be a long ways away. Hang in there Dec 2 will be here before you know it.

well after our "come to jesus" meeting this morning dh and i decided that even though we only have 3 (maybe 4) eggs, we'd go ahead with the egg retrieval assuming that the general consensus of all the docs in the clinic was favorable.

our doc presented our case at their weekly meeting this afternoon where they all as a group go through all their cases. she told them that we'd decided that this was the end of the road for us and they discussed whether it would be wise to move forward even with our lowered chances rather than convert to IUI.

i just got the call that they agreed it was worth doing it and this way we'd have no regrets. so that's what we're going to do. closure is right around the corner...

i trigger tonight and our ER will be on weds (11/26). i'm hoping she'll be able to get the fourth egg out but we'll just cross our fingers on that.

jdc - i totally know how you feel. three eggs seems so few compared to so many posts that we've read. it's very disappointing but wonderce's story proves, it only takes one and if it's meant to be this time around, it will be.

wonderce - thanks for that encouraging post!

karen - you are so amazing in that you are providing so much encouragement and such a wonderful service by keeping up this board. it has really, really made the process easier for me just following these stories for only the few weeks that i have! thank you! thank you! thank you!

good luck to you all and thanks again to all of you for your kind words.

baby dust all around!

pixelgirl - I am glad you decided to go the IVF route. It gives you a lot better shot at your 1 time deal. I will be so excited when you get your BFP. Good luck at ER.

Hey everyone i wil do personals this evening (i usually do them when DH goes to work) but just wanted to say

Lynniecat & To Have FUN Thanks to you both for the heads up on the available menopur!!!! I have e-mailed her and replied to her post so hopefully it will come my way!!!!!

Also AF came this morning (so thanks for the AF dance Chris!!) so i will have baseline bloods and U/S on Wednesday am and if everything is ok and i am cyst free i will start stims there and then. This is a new protocol for me and i do a tiny dose (0.2ml) of Lupron with my menopur.

One question: I dont understand how this protocol will work... Last time i had 300iu of follistim and 300 of menopur daily. Due to only 4 follies this was then increased to 300 follistim and 450 menopur (still only 4 eggs)

So this new protocol calls for NO follistim, just 450 menopur daily + 0.2ml Lupron... Seems i am taking less meds, but he expects more eggs????? Can anyone explain?? I guess i will just have to trust him. He says this WILL work much better.....

Oh, and i think i am in the wrong section on our update chart... I seem to have a date for ER, and while i wish that was the case, i am about to start stims (hopefully - i can never presume, my insides are like a friggin minefield  )

Love to you all[/b]

Well here I am barely on day 2 of my ET and I am already going nutz.

jandc How did your ET go today. Hope it went well.

waitingfor4 Did u have a nice trip to Chicago? Thatis whereI am... and yes, it is very cold and soon to get colder.

Sloan Congrats on your baby's heartbeat. Wasn't it so exciting to hear it?

Foreverlove Congrats on your growing follies. You will be there in no time.

Havebaby Well done on ET. We are on the same boat... our DHs letting us rest and spoiling us on this resting time. And for the 2 embies... hope u get your twins... I hope for twins too, but would be just as happy if only one sticks. Good Luck.

JDC & Pixelgirl I know exactly how u feel. I had 17 follicles and only 4 mature eggs and out of the 4 eggs only 2 fertilized. So now these 2 eggs are floating around in my beely tryting to find their place... and the same will happen to you. Good luck ladies.

WishingforBlessing congrats on the faintline. hope it is a BFP for you.

Well, Iam here watching tv laying on my couch. I got up a little more today cuz my back is hurting from laying so much, but nothing extreme. My soarness is finally dying down from ER... other than that I feel tired, sore nipps, but all due to Progesterone shots. Thursday I start my Vivelle HCG patches. WHen should I expect implantation spotting?

hi everyone!

pixelgirl- good for you to go for the gusto..my first IVF was cancelled because i responded so poorly- before that, we thought it was only a male factor- then they finally did a 'clomiphene challenge test'- which tests both day 3 and day 10 FSH and estrogen- THEN they found my problem- high FSH that doesn't show up on day 3- only day 10...have you had this test, cause if you need future treatment- you should at your age... also, (again for the future, if needed), keep in mind DHEA. it's good for women with high FSH (otherwise known as a prematurely diminishing ovarian reserve).

i hope it works this time for you- on my second cycle i only produced 2 big follies...and i got PG. my clinic thought i was a miracle. my later miscarriage was unrelated.

amanda so nice to hear from you :) .. and DON"T worry about being a downer. we're here for you. i feel far from 'safe' even with my BFP.. i relate to the place you're in and want to support you.

foreverlove 8 follies is great. and i remember the headaches- not so great...keep your chin up and remind yourself that the headaches mean IT"s WORKING! yah!

Kas- so GLAD you got AF.. bring on those stims this week!

JDC, glad you made it thru ER. take it easy and it's out of your hands what happens next...hope you find some rest.

wishing 4blessings not everyone gets implantation bleed. so dont count on it. i didn't. i felt terrified everytime i went to the bathroom.

sloan and robin how wonderful about your u/s!! sloan- how far along are you- i want to know if i can expect a hearbeat this friday, i'll be 6 wks, 4days. and what did youmean by 'healthy' h/beat? how fast? mine last time was low before my m/c..and i'm so freaked about that happening again.

hi to everyone else too! chris, mary, jan, waiting4, havbaby, foreverlove,

as for me. i WANT CONSTANT REASSURANCE THAT I'M STILL PG. it sucks. the novelty of being PG has shifted into this. my last m/c has scarred me more than i thought. if i had it my way, i'd get b/work every 2 days. maybe if i have a good u/s this friday i'll lighten up. i'm actually hoping i get horrible morning sickness, as it would be reassuring.

love to all, karen
