lol what a small world! I used to work for Uttlesford Council until April and was based at the Saffron Walden Office. I only left because Jodie was so poorly!

I grew up in Thaxted but we now live in Felsted. I'm going to have this one at Harlow. I had Emma at St John's Chelmsford, which was awful, then Jodie supposed to be at the Rosie, all the antenatal appointments were there, I was even snowed in there when we had those awful snow storms, but there was no room at the inn when the time came. Although I thought they were great and was really impressed with the care I was given, they just weren't there for me in the end. I didn't want this one at Harlow, my MIL lives there so it is a bit too close but they have just refurbished the neonatal unit and have heard good reports. We have a choice of Chelmsford, Harlow or Cambridge so thought I would try Harlow this time round!

Hi Justine,

Felsted is a little village just outside Great Dunmow, we are about 20 miles from you! Yes I know Mr Roos, he's the lightbulb man! Thaxted is lovely but now when you're a teenager! My sister still lives there, she loves it.

I can imagine communting into London would be a struggle. I used to do, Paul would drop me off at Stansted Airport and I would get the Stansted Express into London (I used to work at Liverpool Street), was too much after a while.

The Rosie let me know at the end, which is when you really needed them. There was also confusion with the follow-up care, being diabetic they were supposed to still monitor me for a few weeks after. It is very rare that you ever hear anything bad about them though. My work collegue was turned away from there. She lives in Stortford but they said they were too busy in September so she had to go to Harlow. She had her little girl last week.

Hopefully this time round things will be better for you. The second baby usually is.

Kareen I'm there with you, tops down (of the cars not us!), driving through the countryside, just the sheep for company, lovely!

The pushchair sounds great. What colour is it? Typical woman's question!!

Got a dilema, don't know whether to buy the Newbury cot from Mothercare or the Tivolli cot bed from Babies R Us. We won't use it as a cot bed but the changer can fit nicely at the end of the cot rather than having to find somewhere else for it which we may have to do wtih the Newbury set. Oh I don't know. I guess if this is my only dilema today then things are good!

Sun is out which is nice after yesterdays rain, although the girls enjoyed collecting snails last night! yuk!!

Have a great day

Jo

Hi everyone, im back  well this week has been so hectic i havent had time to think . we are moving house (i no perfect timing) ive never stopped all week packing. dont worry ive got plenty of helpers, ive been ordering just about all my family around. lift that, move that, pack that. ive just been doing the nice easy jobs. Well we are almost done now, everything has happened so fast  . we move out on saturday, and hopefully in the new house the following week. Ive had a good chance to get rid of all my junk. more room for the babies. im so exited we have sooooo much more space now. more bedrooms, bigger kitchen, big family kitchen :D . and a bigger bathroom and a lovely big back garden. The babies will love it :D im so exited. Cause i have got rid of so much junk there isnt that much to unpack now, so i can just relax and take my time. ive got all my family to help us. luckily i didnt start the nursery so i can make a fresh start when i get in the new house. i can get bigger cots and everything now. im so happy :D
Any way enough on me im glad to see everyone is moving along. i cant believe some of us are almost 20 weeks. its starting to seem real now. my belly suprised me  i woke up one morning and im sure they have grown overnight i feel huge. im not sleeping very well cause my bump is hard now and when i lay on my sides they kick me and tell me to move.
im glad you are all fine. Vita i cant believe he or she wont open their legs :( maybe next time.
Take care everyone
Hayleyxxxx

Hey Hayley, good to see you. I hope the move goes well. I think it's perfect timing. You don't get to do anything, everyone else has to, you just delegate!! It will make time go quicker for you to. Your new house sounds great. I hope you will all be really happy.

Kareen I hope you didn't get your seats wet! lol I've just looked in the Mothercare catalogue and that's the buggy I was going to have if we had twins - excellent choice! We still have our Maclaren for when we are going shopping - easier to go with Jodie strapped down! Going to get another one for when we are out and about. Waiting to see what sex it is, the strollers have lots of colours to choose from now, will get the flowery one if it's a girl - which I'm sure it will be!

I like both cots but I've decided to get the Tivoli one. That has three mattress heights and also the changer will sit flush against one end which will look nicer and save a little space. Have you decided on cots yet?

I think I'm going to start getting little bits when I go shopping soon, the baby bath, cotton wool, wipes etc, that way it won't all be too much in one go, especially with christmas coming.

I bought my first christmas pressie yesterday, I got Alice (she's 14 in December) a playboy belly bar. Really tacky, what every teenager wants! It feels really good to have started.

Hi Tammy how are you? Haven't heard from you for a few days. Have you felt some movement yet?

Vita I hope you're having a good one too.

Justine I know Sophie is still a little young but my two love the stories by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, they are fantastic, they are all rhymming (however you spell it) so sometimes a bit of a tongue twister to read but they remember them all now and read along with me. Definately something to look out for.

Right going off to do some lists of things I want - well never for me, things I want for everyone else!

Hope you all have a lovely relaxing Sunday

Jo

Hello Ladies,

Sorry that I haven't posted for a few days. I'm still fighting this nasty cold, but am feeling better. After looking at all of the different strollers, basinets, highchairs, swings, etc.................I am overwhelmed. Since this is my first child, I'm new at this.

Jo: I still have not felt movement yet. My doctor said that it was not a problem, as we know that the little guy is moving like crazy. He was moving so much, it was difficult to get a good picture from my scan. I hope you are feeling better now.

Hayley: I'm having trouble sleeping also. I went yesterday and bought a body pillow. It is 4.5ft long. I used it last night, but it is a little full for me.

Justine: I'm glad that your 24 week appointment went well and that your cold is subsiding. I should start drinking a honey, lemon drink. You must feel wonderful to reach the 24 week mark. I keep telling myself that when I make it to week 23, my baby is officially viable.

Kareen: I always had this feeling that my baby was a boy. I will have one of each too, after we complete our adoption fall of 2007 or winter 2008. It sounds like you have been shopping a lot. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for one of each.

Vita: I'm glad to hear that all three little babies are doing fine. Have you felt anything yet? I haven't. Maybe that third baby is a girl, as she is awfully shy to expose her privates. My little boy had his legs open wide when we first started scanning. No modesty there. He takes that after his father.

Heather: I did manage to complete the grading of the exams before I went to the doctor. A lady at the doctor's office asked me if I was going to bake a cake with blue icing to surprise my DH. I said that I could never wait that long to tell him. I phoned him as soon as I left the doctor's office.

Well, I'd better get off of here. I have lessons to prepare for tomorrow.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hi!

I just dropped by and I noticed that I wasn't the only one with a natural BFP. How amazing for you all- Congratulations!. After a tough time with IVF- (I had complications that caused one lung to fill up with fluids and had to be hospitalized for almost a week), the following month I found out I was naturally pregnant. I am currently at 18 wks (I'm due Feb. 26-07) and I wanted to join in.

I too feel a little guilty of complaining about my aches and pains since for so long I dreamed of being pregnant, but they are still there. I find now I have some trouble digesting after a big meal as if my breathing is cut off. Does anyone get this as well?

Nice to meet you,
Dania
