Msfixit, Don't feel that way at all. I totally feel you made the right decision. If you would have ended up with OHSS and ended up hospitalized hwo would that be for you embies. FET has a great chance of success and the major lack of meds will put you body at ease and be ready for those embies to stay. DOn't beat yourself up you need time to heal.

Oh and yeah mortified that is good word for what I felt at ER. It is funny cause I told DH on the way there the only reason I as nervous was because I wasn't the whole way out the first time and what if I felt it this time cause there we so many more follicles and dang skipppy I felt it. I am so happy to hear that that is not normal. I recall the nurse telling me 3 times during the 30 min procedue that see was increasing the meds but to no avail. Oh well it is over and I don't totally remember it now so it is a good thing.

Amanda~ Great second beta, you must be so happy and relieved!!
I think you have a very good chance of having twins!!
I can't wait for my number tomorrow as well.

misfixit~ Don't you ever feel guilty about what you decided. Like I told you before, follow your instincts. Even your RE and DH agreed.
I am sorry you're feeling so much pain again! We should enjoy our pregnancies and putting your body under so much stress can't be good for the baby. Trust your decision and know that you will be pregnant under better circumstances. Your embies are doing great!

Mztia~ I can totally relate about the pain during retrieval. I was not completely under either and the pain was pretty bad! I even remember watching it on the monitor, I wouldn't be surprised if I told my RE to stop hurting me! I did say that it was painful and gave him little screams. I remember that too. I seem to take longer to be put under and then afterward, I can't wake up for the longest time. I had the same problem during my surgery.
Great fertilization report!! Lots of good embies to transplant. I'm not sure I understand well how many you will transfer! Is it 4 to 6 embies??

Can't wait to hear the betas from the other girls!!

Hugs,

Valerie - Thanks for the congrats. I am so very happy. I can't wait to hear your second number tomorrow two. I'd be a little scared if I was having twins. I am only 5ft tall so there wouldn't be much room from them. Your number might mean twins too :)

Misfixit - I am sorry you are in such terrible pain. You shouldn't feel guilty at all about waiting until your body is ready. Plus you have them frozen so you will be able to try in a few months when you are feeling better. I truly feel that we know in our hearts when it is the right time and if you feel your body can't handle it you did the right thing. I now how hard it must be though, because you wanted them in you now. HUGS

So sorry ladies!

I found out my results and so began the mass text msgs to family and friends. Then of course the call backs :)

Anyhoo, I am pregnant!!!! the nurse called me screaming to the top of her lungs.....I was so overwhelmed I couldn't react all I could say was "which nurse is this"! I felt so bad afterwards because I could not share in her excitement at the time because I was in shock.

I think I was also taken back because my numbers are not what I thought they would be...my level is 97. She said that "that's perfectly fine and normal. You are in normal range." One of my doc's was in the office and gave me a congrats also so it must be ok right?

Maybe I'm just comparing to all of you guys, I don't know. I hope the levels cont' to rise and this is not a chemical preg. I believe my babies may have implanted on the latter end of that range 6-12 days.

I'm happy.....I'm just a stepping light. :?

JJJake~ImageImageImage. Congrats on a great beta!!! Your number is really good! Perhaps we all have 2 or 3 and you have one. Each woman is different in the amount of hcg they produce. As long as they double every 48 to 72 hrs. You will be just fine! Enjoy being preggers!!!
I love that the nurse was so expressive!!

JDC~ Thank you so very much for checking in on me! I hope you are doing well after your D&C. I wish to see you on a thread real soon and hope you will try again as soon as you feel comfortable!
Hugs and love for you!

WOOHOOO congrats JJJAKE. 97 is a perfect number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course the nurse was screaming because you are gonna be a momma!!!!! Grats to you and DH .

Val- My RE puts back 4-6 embies on a 3 day transfer. They have been doing it for quite sometime and have found no increase risk of triplets or higher. Their twin percentage has gone up though. i think they have like a 25% ish twin pregnancy rate. Their theory is that only 33% of 3 day embies will make it to 5 day and only 50% of 5 day blasts will implant. So with 6- 3 days they say they whiddle it down to 2-3 that may make blast and 1-2 that may implant. But I tell what if you beat the odds that is alot of babies and it scares me. So yes he would suggest putting back 4-6 3 day embies......scary.

msfixit - I think you made the right decision!

val - during my last (BFN) FET cycle I had cramping and tiredness. I think I can attribute the cramping to the slightly difficult ET because it ended about 4 or 5 days prior to my beta. As for the tiredness, I guess it came from progesterone or from going off caffeine.

AF cramps have been here all day today. I could be imagining things but I may also be getting a heightened sense of smell - that was another symptom of my BFP.

Be happy your gas comes in the form of burping! Or should I say I'm sure your DH is happy. ;)

JJJake - at my clinic they like to see anything over 50 so I think 97 sounds great!

First off, I am so stoked for you...Congrats!!!!!!!!! Secondly, I just got schooled on low beats, high betas yadadada, and I will make a post later to share what I have learned. I had a freak-out yesterday when I had a very high beta come back...so I obsessed over it and now feel better about what beats mean and dont mean. As long as your beta rises as it should......thats all we need to really worry about.!!! So be happy, adn try not to worry to much and dont compare :) we are all so differant. Your beta is over really healthy from what I have read.

Amanda
Congrats to you on a second great healthy beta...thats a wonderful number and just because its not huge doesnt mean you dont have multiples and heres what I have learned.

I have read woman who went on to have healthy triplets with beta numbers for what would be expected for a singleton. I have read that some woman have crazy high betas and only had a singleton. Our betas only calcualte the amount of pregnancy hormone we are producing and some woman are just high HCG producers and some dont produce as much. Now I am not saying that high beta numbers are not indicative sometimes of multiples, I am just saying that only a u/s can really tell us how many :) I just dont think beta are fool prrof which is why I think Dr's dont rely on them for that..

Ok guys I'ma relax......I swear I feel like I have a need to worry sometimes.

Thanks for the info Toobee and Val and thanks ladies again. :)

I just hope this is it....... guess what I did yesterday! I went to pick-up take out for the family and I brought a clearblue easy at the nearby rite-aid. As soon as I returned home I made a mad dash to the bathroom and POAS. It was (+) (as you know) so I served dinner to the family and stuck the test beside my husbands plate. Well he saw the test and tossed it across the dinner table (he thought it was a themometer) . "Pick it up and read it silly" I said, he read it, dropped to his knees and started to sob. He would kill me for telling that story but it was sooo cute.

Even with two children I never had that television moment and now I had it and I don't want to lose it.

Thanks again guys and thanks for allowing me to soap box (again)!
Ima do personal tonight you guys. BIG HUGS.

Congrats to everybody who got BFPs. I am not in the mood to do personals as I got a BFN today. I went and did my elliptical for a while and am going to have a glass of wine. I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss my next steps. We have two blasts frozen so hopefully they will survive and we can put them in ASAP.

Thanks for everything

horsgirl - So Sorry about your BFN!!! I know it suck but you have some frozen guys so there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Have a good glass of wine and enjoy just being you and not having to worry about IVF and getting PG for a few days.

JJake - Congrats on the BFP!!!!!
Don't worry about your beta #. It is a good number. There is a lady that I still correspond with that was on the April/May board. Here beta was also a 97 and she is now 21 weeks Pg and having a boy. There is just some overachievers on this board that wanted to make sure they were totally PG and having really high betas  Good luck and have a healthy and happy 9 months.
