Sorry but crashing yet again

Tammy - You have the most most wonderful outlook and your positive influence is such an asset around here. I'll continue to check in and stalk you all, since I'm always pulling for you all. I was going to suggest a Fall cycling thread, but Es beat me to it  - Zach is going to get a sibling honey, you just hang in there - xoxoxo

Es - Great minds think alike! A Fall thread is a great idea to not lose track based on which month someone's in - like who cares anyway?
Your girls are your girls no matter where they fall on the calendar - yay PUPO!! And listen to Franny, its way too early to even visit crazytown! - xoxo

Lou - I'm sorry this one is hitting you hard, sometimes theres just no way around that. With each failed try I had, the fall was much harder each time.
You have loads of support here and sooo many girls pulling for you! And us stalkers from the other side that miss you to no end!! Roll on Oct 15! - xoxoxo

Franny - Oh, honey I've missed you lots! Glad you had a nice little break/ visit/ vacation! OK for getting baby in a box with no dramamthis time too!!!
Maybe a change in RE's means a change in a lot of things... Hope you and Barry are feeling refreshed now so you can get back on the roller coaster again.
I'm always pulling for you girl - xoxoxo

Tammy -- I think a "FALL 2010" board is a GREAT idea. Of course, as that one starts, there's nothing wrong with posting here for those who are finishing up. It will be time for someone else to do the list as Ester will be getting a BFP (positive vibes) and moving on to the other side while she stalks the heck out of us still trying. I'll be with you in October Tammy. I believe in you. You really had a great cycle this time. 4 embies is great for 42! If it happens again, that will be a total of 8. Now don't you think 1 out of 8 has gotta be a sticky one?

Es -- I did miss your most recent post. Sorry. I am at work and had a few distractions going on. First of all, I believe you two can do this with your own genetics. As long as you've got insurance or the funds to try. It definitely takes longer with sperm issues, that much I've seen. I'm in the same boat. You may have success quicker by using a donor though. Your DH is processing this information and all his fears are surfacing as he thinks about losing his dream of having a genetic child. You are right... it does not matter in ther long run. I think he will come to realize that as well in his own good time. Sounds like you did a great job explaining. If moving forward with donor sperm or embies is a consideration that you have, acceptance of that sometimes takes longer for some over others. Everyone wants their own child first. But in the end, we all just want to be parents. You guys will be for sure someday. Secondly.... I am sooo not giving up on your little fighters. I did two three day transfers and on the first one I had two perfect 8 cell embies transferred. At my clinic... grade 4 is the best and 1 is the worst. Mine were 4's. I got a BFN!!! My second cycle, I transferred two 3's and a grade 2. All of them had some degree of fragmentation. I ended up with a BFP. I sooo didn't expect it because the quality was less than what I had before. I did some research and learned that the grading on day 3 does not correlate with the grading on day 5. In other words... an OK quality day 3 an still make a fabulous blast! In your case... that is happening in your body. Imagine it and believe it. It's hatching right now and attaching. P. S. Stay the heck out of crazy town!!! And I loooove that you aren't going to POAS. I've made it clear that I'm not a fan of evil sticks.

fitz -- Really I'm broken hearted for you over your decision to end your journey. I hope you are at peace with it and I wish you and DH long healthy happy lives together. Maybe he will change his mind. Many men older than he have had babies. Look at Donald Trump!

Tammy...I am so sorry! But I agree with the ladies...a fall cycle board in difinitely in order! I'll follow, preggo or cycling! I was actually noticing that if you look at the number of replies to this board compared to all of the other cycle boards, this is the busiest! I would hate to see us get split up as well. Maybe you should kick it off soon!

Ester...I wasn't on the website at the time it went down, but that would be terrible! Oh how I can't wait for my name to move! Your story about DH made me tear up as well. I feel that way with my DH because he is perfect and I have issues. My parents' next door neighbor actually had the nerve to ask me if I warned him about my problems before getting him to marry me! I was like, umm, yes, he knew everything and is very supportive. We are already tip-toe-ing around donor eggs and he and I are, luckily, both ready for that if we have to go there....we just don't agree on whether they should be from a stranger or a family member. I have had many family members offer, including my sister. I just worry that if I were to have a baby that was partially theirs, would they ever resent the way I was raising their genetics??? I don't think my sister would, we are best friends, but I would rather go the stranger route and DH thinks we shouls take my sister up on the offer.

Teresa...I hope you have a great time at the wedding! Are a POAS-er? Because I know I will be!

Franny...Welcome home (tomorrow)!! Not my last day of BCPs yet....but Sunday is. Thank goodness. Those things have always made me sick to my stomach! That's great that we will be so close in our cycles! Thanks for asking about my dad. He is home and stable, but unfortunately there just isn't a cure for what he has. There are new decision to be made as far as where to go from here. There are procedures he can have done to hold him over, it's just a matter of what he wants to do. One of the procedures is where the doctors induce heart attacks on the part of the heart that is enlarged, killing off the enlarged muscle. He has that done in 2000 and was partially awake for it, so he is horrified to have it again. His brother has the same condition and went to Cleveland for open heart surgery where they actually went in and cut out the enlarged muscle. He's afraid of that one too :) They also want to hook his pacemaker up to the recently enlarged part of the heart, but that involves surgery too! Poor guy. Right now he is on some meds to help, one of which if a blood thinner and he just bruises so easily which makes him look to frail! It's sad, because he is still in his 50s. Sorry for the rant!

DCRunning...I'm glad there may be more to work with! Good luck tomorrow!

fitz...I am so, so, so sorry.

Lou...I'm sorry you're so down, but I would think that is pretty normal after what you've been through. I'm glad you already have your next step in place. I hope if Tammy makes a fall cycle group you'll join over there so I can keep on watching how you're doing!

dys...I'm glad the spotting has slowed down....TWINs?!?!? With a baby?! What a blessing that would be, but holy moly!

cakes...YAY!!!!!! Great news!

Chili~ It sure sounds like you have been busy. September will soon be here and you will be on your way. I agree with you saying that you are feeling nervous and excited. I think I go back and forth between those constantly.

Tammy~ I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'll be praying that your next one is the one that will give you the positive results.

Teresa~ Have a great wedding weekend! How fun!! Hopefully you won't get too many questions and you can just have fun. I never know what to expect from those that know what we are going through. Sometimes they are full of questions and sometimes they don't even mention it.

Franny~ Have a safe trip home and yay for your meds arriving Monday and you getting started.

DCRunningMama~ Good luck with your retrieval tomorrow. I hope you went for that pedicure and pampered yourself a little.

Fitz~ Sending hugs your way...I'm sorry to hear your news.

dys24~ Keep your PMA...I have a good feeling about you.

Ester~ I have to say you had me crying as I read what you wrote about your discussion with your DH. I think it is so important and great that you can have that dialogue with one another. Try to enjoy your time before you head back to school.

AFM...I have been so busy getting back into my classroom and getting all set up for the year. It really is a lot of work and it feels like it will never get done, but of course it always does. I received a phone call from RE today and I will be triggering Saturday night at 10:30 for a Monday morning retrieval. I never thought this time would come and here it is. Monday is my first official day back to work and we have our Back to School Bash that afternoon when students and parents can come meet the teachers and see the classroom. I guess I'll be missing that, but I as so ready to get this going.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks girls. My mind is just spinning right now. I keep wondering if this is maybe God's plan for us to remain a 3-some. I feel really torn on what to do. I also know that getting pregnant again could kill me...due to my classic vertical cut c-section and the very real possibility that my uterus could ultimately rupture. I thought this was pretty rare...till it just happened to a really good friend of mine in June when she tried a v-bac and only because her and the baby were already on the operating table were they able to save them both. If I am at home and it happens...we have less than 18 minutes to be on an operating table. This is why I will not be allowed to go beyond 36 weeks pregnant and can not have contractions at all...which could also mean NICU time again. I delivered Zach at 35 weeks due to low amniotic fluid that nearly killed him. Then at 12 weeks pregnant...I got diabetes sooo bad that I went straight to major amounts of insulin around the clock. Thank God for an awesome doctor who had me tested early due to family history...and because of it...Zach had no heart problems...which he could have had it gone undiagnosed...I had to have a fetal heart echocardiogram at 20 weeks to look at his heart. I did manage to get rid of the diabetes 5 months after delivery...but they say that getting pregnant again...I may not get rid of it this time. My pregnancy at 39/40 was a nightmare. Then I have the whole Downs thing to think about and the docs words today keep echoing in my mind. 1 in 50-60 chance of DS. Would that be fair to not only burden Zach with older parents to care for, but also a sibling with health issues? Am I doing the right thing or pushing my luck? Ugh.

I'll let one of you girls start the new board...because, as of right now...I dont even know whether I should even continue. I'm just so lost.

I wish someone could just say...this is what you should do...and make up my mind for me. lol I need to make the decision this week before my next AF/baseline...because if we do do this one more time...then we have to do this now...not later. Anyone want to give me their honest 2 cents?

Sorry for no personals right now...my mind just cant concentrate on it right now.

Tammy - I'm so so so sorry. Your story is incredible and you're amazing for still wanting to go through this to give Zach a sibling. Have you thought about PGD?? It's expensive, but they can test for Down's before implantation and the eggs that actually survive the process are stronger for it....just a thought. Have you thought about adoption? Would you be an older parent? Yes, BUT I can tell you that the best thing my parents did was give me siblings, so there's that. My two cents...

Fitz - Ugh. I'm sorry. Are you going to consider other options? How's DH taking it?

Dys - Can't wait for Monday!!

DC - Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll get more than you think....and besides, you only need one good one :)

Rebecca - So much all at once! Good luck Monday! The parents can meet you some other time.

Ester - I know you want to think about all of your other options now because your mind is spinning and you want to be prepared, but try focus on the two babies in you NOW! If it works. you have an instant family!!! We could all also Facebook to keep in touch? No? Google is the devil. Stop.

Ester and Ryann - DH and I also had a whole discussion about donor eggs and at first, we thought o ask my sister, but it turns out all three sisters are carriers :( My oldest sis (39) just had a baby (normal) and wants another, but they're in the same boat. Do they wait and see if I can go through PGD with her DH's sperm for them? Do they get a stranger? Do they bother even trying on their own? UGH. It's all so aggravating.

Lou - I'll definitely be following you no matter where you are on these boards. I'm so sorry that you're hurting.

Franny - YAY for baby in a box! You just have to get through the weekend!

AFM - got b/w done and they put me on Prometrium in addition to the crap I have to stick up myself 3x a day. I feel like a** and I'm a fat f**k. Seriously. If I'm not pregnant, I will not only cry because I do not have a baby, but because I can no longer look at myself in a mirror.

Rebecca - Good luck tomorrow with your E/R! We'll be thinking of you!

Lauren319 - I'm a POAS addict so we'll have to see when I do IVF if I can refrain from digging into the stash of internet cheapies in my closet. They just call out to me and it's hard to tell them to shut up!! At least you're still really early after ET so we certainly can't count on today's BFN.

Tammy - Wow, you really went through a lot with that pregnancy! My 2 cents would be to give it that last try so you don't wonder years from now if you should have. But of course, you've got to go with what your gut tells you.

Chili - Glad to see you're starting back up! Hoping for great results for you this cycle!

Franny - So glad you'll be back with us tomorrow. Hope your vacation was WONDERFUL! p.s. I was so jealous when you said you were in Saratoga. I grew up 45 minutes from there and while I still drive up that way once a month to visit my family, I haven't been able to time a visit to the track in a few years.

Fitz - I'm so sorry your journey may be ending. But like others said, maybe DH will have a change of heart as to the age cutoff.

Ester - Were you able to get out of crazytown??

Thanks Lauren, Franny, and Klinger for your kind words...and everyone for letting me vent. I hope I didnt scare everyone off.

I'm feeling a little bit better today and not so scared and defeated. I really needed to be honest with my feelings and get all that out. My really good friend from my local mommys board (our boys are 1 day apart)...just gave birth to her little girl at 9:30 this morning. So much for meeting at the Water Park this morning. lol Anyhow, seeing her picture...gives me renewed hope and fight. I've done alot of thinking this weekend and Bill wants us to try 1 more time too...so we will. We'll just put it all in Gods hands.

We're off to my great-nephew's 2nd birthday party (doesnt "great" make me feel nice and old, lol) and I havent even wrapped his present yet...but I wanted to come on here and give you a real quick update while it was on my mind. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

And, someone start that Fall 2010 Board! :D

Franny - that is so cool! I grew up in Sharon Springs - a teeny, tiny town that's currently seeing a slice of fame thanks to the "Fabulous Beekman Boys" show. My parents still live there & both of my adult kiddos live in towns just outside of Albany so once a month my little beagle & I drive up to spend some time at the farm and visit everyone. I don't miss the winters, but it is beautiful up there!

Tammy - I'm glad to hear you & Bill decided to give it one more try. I'll go ahead & start the Fall 2010 board. I don't yet know when we'll be starting but I'm hoping that at Wednesday's follow-up with the RE, we'll get the go-ahead to start after the next cycle so maybe October-ish? Fingers crossed!! :)
