Thanks for the good wishes! We are certainly hoping 3rd time's a charm. The first IVF they only transferred one, because I was so young (27) and all my "stats" are normal - my husband has atypical CF. It was a fresh transfer and I'm pretty sure I was right on the edge of hyperstimulation, so it wasn't as surprising that it didn't work. The second was a FET, 2 blastocysts. That was a little harder when it didn't work. (Incidentally, after having one fail, has anybody else been totally depressed by the pictures they give you of your little embies??)

I have seen a lot of other people comment on grades of their embryos, but my doctors have only ever said that ours "looked great," whatever that means. This time around they did a different procedure to retrieve the sperm that was supposed to give us higher quality. Also my retrieval went really well, they used different meds and it progressed normally (slow and steady) unlike the first time when they had me go in every single day for a week of testing because my hormone levels were rising so disturbingly fast. They got 19 eggs this time, all 19 were mature, 17 were successfully fertilized, and 2 were put in. I didn't even ask how many they were able to save.

nursegator - I hear you. This whole process is all about waiting. Is it the 7th yet?? Now? No? Not yet?

Congrats hopeful_VA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's official now!

CAFirstinvitro: I just want a healthy baby or babies, if I get so lucky. I've been telling myself that I AM pregnant, but after trying for so long, I'm not sure it's sinking in. Still thinking positively and trying to sweep away any negative thoughts, trying to visualize my little blasts implanting and taking it easy.

Wondercat: I wasn't given much specific information about my embryo or blasts grading either. The RE said labs are moving toward a system of grading internationally, where the only grades are Good, Fair or Poor. I guess as long as we are in the good category... But I'd still love to have more info. Then I'd drive myself bonkers researching every detail on the internet. It's probably for my own good.

Well we went and had our ultrasound today, and I was so super nervous. Of course everything turned out more then fine, and the tech told us she saw two Sacs, with fetal poles and heartbeats. That's right we are having TWINS! :D :D :D Baby A heartbeat was 119 and Baby B heartbeat was 113. She said both heartbeats are steady and great. They are both growing right on schedule Baby B is a tiny bit bigger the Baby A and they are both measuring 6 weeks and 4 days. Of course I am still in shock but we are both so excited. My next appointment is in 3 weeks, and then I can go to my regular OB. I asked why I don't have many symptoms an they said it is still to early and I will soon.

Lady_J~I am so happy you are PUPO now! Those blasts sound amazing. I think your chances are good!

Molly~congrats on the twins and healthy heartbeats! What excellent news.

hoping in VA~Congrats on your BFP!! You did it! you are going to be a Mum!!

CaFirstInvitro, Nurgsegator, Lady_J and other in the 2ww~Hang in there! I know it is torture. Try to stay away from Google cause all the whatifs will make you nuts! Try to distract yourself with something unrelated. I watched back to back episodes of Sex in the City for hours!

I am having some AF type cramping which is scaring me. Do any of you know if this is normal for early pregnancy? Are any of you feeling just like you are about to get AF but there is not blood? I am also having extreme exhaustion. But that's about it for my symptoms. I go back for a second beta on Friday.

nursegator - Yeah, I already found this google book on blastocysts with lots of pictures that I was comparing to my two until I was cross-eyed. I admit it, they all looked the same to me! You're right, it's probably better to "know" as little as possible. (But I can give you the link for that book, if you want it...)

Well, I did what I said I wasn't going to do this time around and did an HPT... And there was actually a very faint second line!! It's been 15 days since my trigger shot, so that should be gone by now, right? Maybe this is just super wishful thinking here... But my husband and I have been together for 11 years, and he's my first and only - so this is the first time in my life that I have even had the slightest glimmer of a positive result. At least it's enough to give me the hope to keep going through these next four days!

At the same time I bought the HPT I also got two 1,000 piece puzzles, having already completed one since my ET. Distraction is definitely the key to making it through this. My husband doing all of the dog walking, litter box cleaning, laundry doing, food shopping, and dinner cooking has also helped.

Hello ladies... Well it is 1dpt and has felt as if it has been 1 week. Aaarrggh. I am trying to not think about it as much as the first time, but I can stop thinking if it is actually going to work this time or if my embies have already fallen out. I have been feeling cramping here and there but that is all. On a 5dt, how long after have they said that it will usually take for implantation? I know on a 3dt they told me 3-5 days, so on a 5dt is it like 1-3 days? My DH has been so great once again. Then he came home this morning from work and rubbed my belly and said, how r my babies. He did that first cycle but since it failed I sort of thought he wasnt going to have the PMA to do it this cycle. I have been walking around a little more today, but I rather be layin down.

Hopeful... Congrats on your BFP!!! yipee. now it is official and u can celebrate with DH. Good Luck.

Molly... And u were always worried hun. Now u have 2 little bean growing inside of you. Congratulations to u and DH. Now u can lay back and enjoy your PG self. :)

dys... Nice hearing from you. i am glad u have not forgotten about us hun. So r u going for another natural cycle or IVF? Good Luck hun.

CA.... Congrats hun on your ET. Now we r PUPO together. Except u ge your results 2 days before me :? How thta happen? But now we can go thru this together. Good Luck hun. I send u lots and lots of sticky dust.

tabatha... My trigger Injection was at 10pm, cuz ER is done 36 hrs later. is that the injection you meant? Cuz the others (ie... prog, lupron, stims) I was always doing them at 7:30 pm, for schedule reasons.
I am 32 yrs / DH is 34
PCOS/1 tube/ DH low sperm count
1st IVF cycle... Nov 2008 = BFN
2nd IVF cycle...Feb 2009 = BFN
FET... Sept. 2009 = BFN
