To have fun - sorry about all the needles and extra tests but it is always better to be on the safe side with those little ones taking every ounce of your energy and creating hormone havoc!!!! Yes it is overwhelming to get all the baby stuff but take it one step at a time and it is all doable don't try to tackle it all at once!

Happy Bunny - looks like she wants to come any day now! Hope that things go very smooth!

Sonya - sorry about DH being so far away and you having to deal with everything, not a big deal when not pregnant but when you are so pregnant things are so hard! I laugh at how hard it is to dry my feet and ankles when I get out of the shower!!!! Hopefully there will be plenty of time for him to get there!

Amanda - thanks for the heads up, I will ask my OB, he seems so relaxed about the whole thing, I think I would feel better if I was getting something to stop the contractions or to mature her lungs, I will see what my US which is sort of a level II says today hopefully my cervix is long and closed and those are just crazy BH! Wow you will be 36 weeks! WOW! I know you have to have a c-sec because of TAC but did you have one before? check out these c-panty products, pricey but my scar gave me trouble and I am considering it!

Blair - when is your next appt? Sorry you still have bad MS hope it goes away soon, can't wait to see a bump pic! Don't worry about bruises, I got them too :(

kjm remind hubs that you will get tons of outfits as gifts! Or ask for gift cards - best thing I ever did! I love it that he is so into it!!!

Karen - glad to find another co-sleeper mom out there! Did you ever read the "night time parenting" by Dr Sears? I have been napping when DS naps on weekends! Hope the baby eases up on her position!

Stephanie You look so great cause you still look the same but with a big belly, nice that your gain was all belly! I am sure your neighbors thought you rocked! I can't believe how close you are now and that those boys are doing such a good job of staying put for you! I am so excited for you!

Leora - wow no baby stuff until they are born, yickes! Who can handle that? I could not, I need to have everything washed and cleaned and ready! Laundry and stuff sure has a way of multiplying doesn't it? We used to live in a small 2 bed house with no garage, then we moved to a 4 bed house with a garage and storage room and guess what, it is all packed to the ceiling. DH likes to keep everything. I would love to get rid of tons. The weight thing is a hard one, just do the best you can and don't be hard on yourself, try to eat healthy and often to keep your metabolism up, with twins you know you should be gaining so much but it is all guidelines and do what works for you as long as your docs are ok, remember bfeeding helps you loose a ton of baby weight so again, don't stress yourself over any weight gain! Thursday will be awesome!

Dallas - congrats!!!!!!!!!

Lou - another good tip I got was to get white fitted sheets for baby, whether bassinet or crib, the amount of accidents they have with poopies and spit up, you can always bleach white! Great pics! Where I grew up, Rio, everyone flaunts their baby bump and no one tries to hide it so I am all for flauting baby bumps!

SD - how is your trip?

AFM Thank you for all of your support! The contractions have slowed down quite a bit, I can't wait for my detailed US this am so I can see how my cervix is doing. I hope it is long and tight shut! I just feel so weak this morning. My MIL who came over on Sat for dinner is now sick and I hope I didn't catch whatever she has since the last thing I need right now is to be sick. Other than that I made progress in washing everything, separating baby toys, washing all those hanging things by hand on a used swing and bouncer we got, all the protective sheets and clothes are washed and sorted! Back to work for me!

Rio - Good luck on you appt today. I'm thinking of you. I hope you don't get sick - that is the last thing you need. And try to take it easy...

to have fun - sorry about all the extra shots - i just couldn't handle it. You are so lucky to get lots of hammy downs - I am so far behind my family - no one has anything left.

happy bunny - hope you get some relief soon.

Blair - Sorry that you are still getting sick. Hopefully 2nd trimester bliss will set in soon. Good luck on your appt Wed. I now time must be crawling. Try and stay busy. I know you will be fine and those 2 little ones will put on a show for you!!

Leora - How many boxes of cereal and milk have you had recently? That really is not a bad craving - could be much worse and not as healthy!! My main craving through out the whole pregnancy is fruit. I want oranges, then watermelon, then cantalope, cherries...the list goes on...

Rio...so glad the contractions have let up a bit. I can't wait to hear good news after your ultrasound!

Chris...Glad everything seems to be uneventful...keep us posted when you find out your flavor!

Blair...Ugh. Morning sickenss. I remember those days quite well. I would say give ti a few more weeks before trying not to take Zofran. I couldn't come out of it until 16 or 17 weeks. I know we are all different, but throwing up at work is NO fun! I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound and that the twins are both doing beautifully!

Kjm...My DH is the exact opposite! He wouldn't even let me LOOK at baby clothes because he knew we would be getting a ton and needed to save our money for the other stuff. Well , he was right. Our babies will be very well dressed. I do need to get some plain white onesies and plain white socks, but my sister is telling me to wait because she is due any day and if her little guy doesn't fit in the newborn ones she bought she will just and them down. Also, he will likely outgrow them before the twins get here, so we can have them then anyways.

Stephanie...You are my twin momma hero! I can't believe how close you are to being done and you have done such an awesome job! I'm hoping I last another 6 weeks to give these two the best shot possible! I can't wait for pictures!

Leora...I turned intoa HUGE cereal person this pregnancy. During th epeak of my morning sickenss I couldn't handle milk, but still really wanted a bowl of cereal, so DH got me lactaid. I have been able to switch back to regular milk and I finish 2 gallons by myself each week. I also go through about 2 boxes of cereal myself a week! I couldn't imagine not buying anything for the baby before birth! I feel like there's too much to do and I have everything I need already! Yikes!

Lou....Good for you for rocking the bikini! I did a couple weeks ago too at my neighborhood pool. Kids aren't out for the summer yet, so it was virtually empty, but I was still VERY self conscious!

Sonya....Sounds like an overwhelming amount going on, but you have such a great attitude. I always juse have to remind myself that things will fall into place :)

AFM... So excited to hit the big 3-0 today! I cannot believe that I am out of the 20's! For some reason 30 weeks just seems huge to me. Now hopefully I make it another 6 weeks before these 2 decide to make their debut!

I sent DH out yesterday to finish buying anything off our registry that we needed, so we are now officially done and ready for these two! Some things will be delivered to the house, so they can't be born quite yet :) I'm sure there will be little things along the way, like I already remembered we need travel wipes cases for our diaper bags, but we have the main "home" things. Along with that, the nursery is officially finished! DH hung the window treatments yesterday, so all we need now are babies! I think since I can't nest, DH has taken over the nesting frenzy. For some reason he felt we needed to get everything done yesterday!

I want to ask if any of you have experienced this...I am in severe pain on my tailbone. It actually feels like there is a lump on it and I can barely sit! I put a call in to the nurse and am waiting to hear back. GRRRR

Rio -- I'm so sorry about the contraction scare but glad to hear they are now under control. How did your u/s go? Yes... I love the beaches of Rio (esp Ipanema!) and how open the people are about their bodies. No one is self conscious or hides anything! I'm going to add those white sheets to my registry ASAP!

Leora -- I forgot about the Jewish tradtion of "no baby showers" until their born. Sooo... you'll be having a circumcision party then?

Steph -- Yeah for rockin a TWIN belly in a bikini! What kind of belly band did you get? I think I need one for my aching back.

Karenvancouver-- I think you're right...the baby comforter is for show. Much like mine is too...lol. I'll be using a breathable bumper as well.

KJM -- So cute... I can just picture your DH picking out baby clothes! How is your bump coming along. I think we need a pic. :D

Blair -- Well.... you could be bigger because you've got TWINS in there! Thanks for the compliment and your vote on the bedding. We bought it!

Bunny -- OMG... you're so close. My guess is within a week!

Chris -- Nice to hear from you. I have a feeling you do have a boy in there. Can't wait for the 30th to find out. Sorry about all the testing you've had to go through. :(

Ryann -- Congrats on 30 weeks! Go ahead... rock the bikini!

AFM -- I was having pain in my cervix/vagina region since last night. Sharp shooting type pains. Freaked me out so I called OB today and they had me come in for a cervical check. My cervix was firmly closed and measured 4.8 cm. Whew! I guess it's just growing pains.

Another quick tip I forgot, bra extenders are awesome! I didn't realize how much your rib cages expand and this allowed me to use my regular bras for much longer!

Lou - So glad to hear about your cervix being closed, so many weird aches and pains, have you started BH yet?

Blissful You had me LMAO with your comment of my Gosh Darn it diet, it feels that way sometimes!!!!! :)

Ryann Congrats on the big 30 week mark! It is comforting to know that your beans would be fine if born now, of course we want them to wait much longer! You are lucky you can get fresh hand me downs from your sister! Weird about your tailbone, hopefully nothing weird going on. Cool about DH nesting! Now if I can get mine to do the same!!!

kjm - my craving was fruit also! Unfortunately I can't have that many right now cause of sugars.

AFM - US went well, baby is measuring exactly on time, not a day ahead or behind. So they checked her livers, heart, brain, bladder and everything looks great. My cervix is nice and long and closed shut!!!!!!!!!! What a huge relief!!!!!! What I didn't understand was that if she was measuring exactly to the date the OB said she was in the 42 percentile for size. Wouldn't she be about 50% for growth? Our boy was always one week ahead and was born 10 days early at 8lb3oz, I wonder what little girl is going to come in at..... My OBs don't give size estimate.....

Rio - I am so glad to hear everything is alright. I had to check as soon as I got home. I am dreading my glucose scan. I will really struggle without fruit. I could manage but man I don't envy you guys on that "Gosh Darn it" diet. Sounds like you are going to have a very sweet petite little girl - how perfect.

Lou - I know I have to post a pic. My DH has to change the pixels on the camera because when I try to download it says the file is too large. Last night did not sound fun. I am glad to hear all is well. Have you been having a lot of back pain? Are you doing any prenate pilates. I am and I feel so flexible afterwards - really seems to help. And it spends alot of time on pelvic tilts and core strength. Not what you are used to but something you can manage as you get bigger.

Ryann - Congrats on hitting 30 weeks. That is amazing - you look so small yet. Long torso people suck!!haha We are slowly getting nursery done but I am struggling with all the choices in cribs and layout, etc... Just need to send DH out. Im sure he would come home with something. Yes I told him he needed to wait to buy more clothes. He just is so excited. The pain in your tailbone could be your SI joint. It is where the pelvis and tailbone met. As your ligaments get more lax and you get more pressure in the area that joint can shift and cause increased pain in the butt, tailbone or groin. Lay down flat and straighten your legs out. Have DH look at the bumps on the inside of your ankles. If there is a difference in levels it is likely your SI joint. Hope that makes since.

Question - are any of you doing cord blood? I have 2 males on my side that died of luekemia young so I think we will do it. Just wanted some other opinions.

OMG I missed so much.

Stephanie- I sure hope it doesn't get worse. DF might throw me out of the house;) lol I don't remember being a crabby patty with my other 3. I'm sure I was though;) Sounds like your boys are ready to come out and meet Mom and Dad.

Kjm1824- Your DH is so cute. That's awesome he's so into it. I'm hoping mine is in to it as well. I'm sure he will be.

Blair- That is a great idea thanks. You will need to post a belly pic soon. I need to do the same.

Happpy Bunny so sorry you are so uncomfortable. Hopefully things will start moving and Brooke decides to make an entrance into the world.

Riogrl- glad your us went well but sorry you are uncomfortable.

Sonya- So sorry your DH had to go away and that you have so much going that you ahve to handle by yourself.

Lou- You rock that bikini for sure. I lvoe it. Glad your appointment went well.

Dallas- I;m still tired and I'm 10 weeks but I'm also getting up a lot to pee.

Rypell- sorry you are dealign with tailbone pain. I wonder if it has to do with the bedrest. Glad you are all set with the baby stuff. It's great when the DH's get motivated;)

Leora- Same issue here convincing DH. I think last trimester I'm just going to hire someone and tell him after.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

AFM: Not too much going on. I do have some sharp pains that I'm getting on my left side that when I push down it's tender. Kind of near the end of my c-section scar. Pretty much my entire c-section scar is tender. The docs asked me to come in for an us at 1:20 to check on the baby. I'm really nervous now as DF is working and can't make it and I'll be devistated if I get bad news by myself.

Kat- Good luck at the US today. Keep us posted on how it goes!! Sorry to hear you are having pain around your c section scar but Im guessing its probably normal and you have nothing to worry about.

Rio- Glad that the baby is measuring right on track and that your cervix is still looking good. Appt for me is tomorrow at 2est...counting down the hours lol. I promise I will get a bump pic posted soon. Despite the bruising its not too bad looking yet so I might as well enjoy it.

Lou- Glad you got the bedding and can start working on her nursery. Dont forget to post pics!! Also good news that your cervix was still nice and long and closed!

ryann- I think for now I will keep taking the morning dose and maybe try to cut back on the evening doses of zofran just to see how that goes. I am hoping I just have a few more weeks of it. Congrats on the big 3-0. It does seem like a very big milestone. Sounds like DH is doing a great job nesting for you and making sure everything is in place for dylan and bella. Hopefully your tailbone pain goes away but I would agree im sure its prob worse from all the bedrest.

kjm- Yea time is beyond crawling. Every time I look at the clock i feel like it hasnt moved. And DH is on call so i wont see him until we meet up for the appt tmrw. Hoping all goes well and i can post some good US and belly pics soon.

Fun- Thanks for the well wishes. As upset as I was after the last apt I know its for the best and hopefully it means these 2 will be even healthier. Just cant wait to see them tomorrow!! Im dying to find out whether you have a little boy or girl in there. I cant believe they are making you wait so long for it.

Happy Bunny- Sorry that the contractions are getting so bad but Brooke will be here soon!! Keep pushing through and know it will all be worth it in the end when you see her beautiful little face.

AFM- Can someone fast forward to tomorrow afternoon. Of course I have to work late today because of a later meeting...and dont have much to do in the meantime. Just trying to find stuff to fill the time for now.

Kjm - I am not considering chord blood banking but I think that if you have a history in your family and the chord blood might help, it is definitely worth a look!

Sweetpea - sorry the scar is bothering you. I hope it is all ok. Yeah the crazy hormones get the best of us!

Blair - can't wait to hear how tomorrow goes and hope the twins put on a show for you!

I just ordered the cutest book for our son, the company makes name books and I love personalized stuff, I am also giving this as a gift for a pregnant friend.
http://www.zulily.com/invite/arenny748
there is a promotion on this site that you can get $20 for $10 so it makes the books cheaper, otherwise they are $30 each. The promo ends today, I thought I would share, they also have a double phil and teds stroller for 40% off I think!

Quick post U.S. went well the baby looked good and was very active. Heartrate was 168 and the baby was measuring 5 days ahead. I do have a small corpus luteum cyst which she said is good to have when pregnant because it produces progesterone.

Rio - I didn't have a previous c-section but my TAC surgery in January is like a c-section incision. With that my incision fell right below the bikini line so panties really didn't bother it but I wonder if I should check out those c-panty products too. I'm so glad your u/s went well - sooooo good to hear a great report!

Ryann- WOW, I can't believe you're already at 30 weeks!! Time seems to have flown by for you.

Lou - glad your cervix check was good. Damn at 4.8 you've got over double the cervix I had pre-pregnancy!

AFM, had my weekly NST & prenatal visit this morning. They also checked my AFI again and my fluid level looks great (though the first u/s tech that did today's u/s to check it messed up royally and only measured the AFI as 7.3 when last week it was 16.5. This alarmed everyone so doc had me go back in the u/s room with another tech and it came back at 13.92...phew!!) During the NST I only had one contraction in 20 minutes (YAY) and Maribel actually fell asleep for a good portion of the test. Doc's going to keep me on the Procardia longer since today's NST showed a great improvement in that decrease of contractions. Weight's still good - total of 15 pounds gained so the GD diet has definitely helped keep me from gaining too much. And that's about it. Next appointment is next Tuesday, same time, same place. :D

Ok my braxton hicks ladies....how do I know if it's BH??? Any time I stand up my stomach tightens, I feel like I can't stand up straight. But here's the thing...like I've said before, I have two babies that just LOVE to stick their little behinds out! So when I stand up and get this tight feeling their little butts pop out. So it it them moving that makes me feel all tight....or....are the BH forcing the babies to stick their butts out? I know-call the doctor would be the most logical thing to do, but I see him Friday. Any thoughts?

Ryann - It's probably harder to tell with 2 babies sticking their butts out, but when my LO sticks her butt out it's generally just hard in that area where her butt is. When I have BH, my entire uterus gets rock hard - from the very bottom to way above my navel. So when I wasn't 100% sure, I'd feel around different parts of my belly to tell the difference. And yes, the BH could cause them to move around & stick their butts out. Maribel loves to move around when I'm contracting (which doesn't always feel terrific on top of trying to walk with one happening.)
