yeah thanks for that jomae
Gosh hello why didn't i think of that , asking the clinic that i might go too next :D. My last cycle was a fresh cycle. So I just can't wait till af arrives so i can get this fet started. they always say after a fresh cycle failed you have to wait two af before u can start again. Oh we'll as Ivf is such a big waiting game thats what i'll have to do
Have a good one all Cheeky :D

Hello All!! we have a party happening here - excellent!! Gals! a fabulous start to 2007 with Missmolly's BFP!! Also huge welcome to our newbies, Mango and Cheeky, and welcome back to Jamae! (hm, lots of exclamation marks from moi today...!)

Hey Cheeky, I really love your positive attitude! Good luck sweet, I am sure everything will work out tops for ya.

Mango, I like your name, is it your real name? Can I call you MNG as well? Tell you a funny story, when I first started working in London, there was a chick wearing a really groovey top... so I asked her during coffee break where she got it from, she says - "Oh from Mango" so I said "Never heard of that shop before..." they (yes there were other chicks there too) were like - "ohh, we thought it was now international, sure it is...." so I said "we do have shop chain called M-N-G...".....DOHHHHHHHHHHHH!! As you have already discovered we have few experts on Brissy IVF world here (Bel, Em and Jomae  ) so you're in safe hands - I promise ya.

Emma, I hope you had a good holiday in Perth when you were feeling ok... ie - no morning sickness. Lovely to see you here though, we missed your happy spark  I am sorry you have much hot weather to live with - but if I told you that I went to work in the snow last Thursday will it make you feel better? probably not .

Jomae, welcome back! I cannot believe Jacob is already 4 months old!! I will be thinking of you on 30th. And thank you so much for your special wishes for me. I am loathing the fact that I will be separated from my hubby again but I am really not happy here. So I will go home and get on with IVF, see what happens!

Fee and Gargy, how are you both going? I hope you had a great Australia Day weekend. I watched OZ Open Final on telly this morning ( I am not sure why / how but they let us watch this on freeview Live, very unusual in UK telly.... )and I was missing home desparately - again... . Sometimes I am so hopeless!! Let us know how you are going with your tmts, remember we are all here for you!

Ange. Hiya beautiful lady. Starting syneral in 2 days time. are you getting excited? bet you are!... good luck. BTW, how many sniffs are you taking for this tmt cycle? I really wonder about my next tmt cycle as obviouly, 2 sniffs per time twice a day did not work for me last time. It is awful how they taste metallicky-yuck at back of your throat and stuff but I guess there is no point complaining about it ay. Thrid time lucky Ange, third time lucky for you. FIngers crossed.

Bel, I am doing ok and weather is not too bad as Global Warming is keeping me kinda warm here..... . Anyway, guess what!? My sis's c-section day has been decided, her bubs will arrive on 20th Feb OZ time! wey hey!!

Take care all now, chat again soon.

Cheers, Tiger

Hi all
Just popping us back up to the top of the page
Cheeky I,m about an hour and a half to two hours away from brissy it makes for a very early start to get to the clinic by 7am for bloods. Hey how did you go did you ring to find out if your embies can be transfered. Where are you wanting to transfer to if you don't mind me asking.
I had my appointment on the 30th I need to go back on the 14th day of my cycle for bloodsand then hopefully for ET a few days later I think hes getting me in there to early though When i did the IUI's he had trouble pin pointing when I ovulated It doesn't ususally happen for me until approx day 20 so I'm hoping this won't be a repeat although he does reasure me the timing doesn't need to be as accurate for a FET. So heres hoping for ET end of FEB or Early MARCH and heres definately hoping for a BFP 2 weeks later.
Hope Your all well Take Care

hey jomae
I was thinking of going to QFG because i heard so much good things about the clinic. and the good suppport you get there. But I haven't got that far yet as to asking qfg. Its just been a thought, contemplating. but i will ask that question. And now im due to start a fet at the monash round 15 feb. we'll somewhere round then. I have not done a fet before but i can tell you it's just so great not having to do a stim cycle if ya know what i mean. :D

Hi Cheeky
I haven't done a FET cycle either but it should be just like the Ivf transfer but with out all the drugs and the pain they cause I put on roughly 7or 8 kgs of fluid in a matter of days last time and spent the week before and after Xmas in bed as i was unable to walk properly so yes I am definately thankful we don't have to do a fresh cycle not only that the cost is loads cheaper but we should feel alright also. I sooo hope our embies thaw properly I only have four to play with and would hate to start all over again. If I remember right you have 7 or 9 embies do you know their gradings i think mine are 5 and 6 cells I can't remember the gradings though. What are you planning to do on your two week wait spend it with your feet up or at least taking it easy i hope Were so cautious aren't we I know people who have done the most physically exerting things while not knowing they are pregnant or gone out on the town and had a big night and still managed to get and stay pregnant and here we are or atleast me thinking that if i get up to fast or do anything slightly physical that the embies will fall out I know its not possible for them to fall out i just have visions of shaking them loose or something. Anyway keep us updated on your progress so we can send you some PMA for your baby belly
Have you decided what to do about transferring yet?

big congrats aunty tiger
gosh i so would love twins we'll anything will be fine with me:D hey jomae i know what ya saying on the price as its' only quarter of the price. But I was quite supprised on how much we got back on our last fresh cycle. Yeah I can't remember how many cells my embies were but i got 7 and my last try they put back a 10 cell. So yeah im hoping my embies make it through thawing as we'll. Im thinking about blastocyst this time round try something different. They reckon that you can lose a few embies this way but the chances of implant are much better. I don't know myself but i'll give it a go. I just hope it's not the whole 7 embies. then i'll be really pissed off having to do another stim cycle. Hey jomae you know when you had baby jacob are the embies that you have now from that cycle :?: :?: if you don't mind me asking. nosey aren't I :?:
I have to start the ovulation testing on the 10 feb and maybe transfer hopefully sometime after that. and my last 2ww fresh cycle i kept on working as even then it drove me crazy every second of the day. So I think i will keep working. i work at a pharmaceutical manufacturing so i don't work too hard we'll not those two weeks. I hope we all get those bfp
I am so ready to be a mummy. we'll we all are. and it has become my main focus so all the best to all the ladies
and good luck jomae on ya fet :D

Hey Again Cheeky
You can tell I have nothing better to do 2nd post in matter of an hour or so I can't think of a better way to spend my time. Anyhow about your blastocysts I don't know much about it but don't you have higher chances if they do get to blasto stage and as for seeing it as wasting your embies your not really if they don't get to the blasto stage your wanting to transfer then they wouldn't have worked for you anyway so its all progress and anything to increase your chances I say . BTW wheres the postive attitude your meant to have PMA PMA PMA PMA this is your cycle . Baby dust and baby bellies and everything else these ladies say to bring good luck coming your way.
Its good that you'll get the chance to take it easy I know i'll be doing very little just incase. Your right about how it all consumes you it actually feels alittle funny this time with no meds sort of like we aren't doing anything constructive. yep these embies are from the same cycle i only made 8 or 9 with 6 fertlizing i'm a poor responder so that was a great number for me. Feb 10th thats great so we'll be going close i guess i'll be finishing my two week wait as you will beroughly starting yours and yes i'm hoping you get your deserved BFP also. Here's me being nosey also did you only have 1 10 cell embie put back last time and are you only putting one this time or going for more.

chat soon JOMAExxx

wow jomae
see what i mean about not getting enough info from my clinic. They should have told me that about the blastocyst. wow thats totally new to me i just thought u will use more eggs doing it the blastocyst way not realising they won't make it anyway if they don't get to the blastocyst way. fargin hell excuse my french. Last cycle I put 1 10 cell egg back in and this cycle I'm thinking about two eggs. The clinic keeps saying one is the best option because of complications with two. And then they also say that im still young. The other problem i have is that i have a 7 cm fibroid attached to the outside of my uterus. The gyno reckons it's okay but i may have to have a caeserean. I then asked the question of removing it and she said that my left ovarie would have to go to. So im keeping it all tucked inside me  But thanks for the info jomae im definately going the blastocyst way. im not sure what cells my 7 embies are. heres hoping for a great year for all bfp oi bfp oi bfp oi
good talking to ya jomae :D

Hi Girls,

Home sick today and thought I'd pop on to apologise about being quiet but I wound up in hospital (Mater) on the weekend. I had a bad bout of hyperemetis Gravitum, which is not fun by anyone's standards! Couldn't keep a thing down and so was put on a drip as I was severely dehydrated.

Have managed to keep down a total of 8 pieces of toast in the past 24 hours, so on the road to recovery.

So hope you are all well and will write more when better.

Love Em

Hi Cheeky big decision of how many embies to replace myself personally will be having two put back and the thought is a little daunting could i cope with twins and jay all under 2. I guess the way i look at it if i'm lucky enough to have twins I wouldn't need to go through this all again and wouldn't it be special having a set of twins to keep each other company my family would be complete ( although what would I do with my other two embies if i fall pregnant with twins through this cycle, I would probably donate them if i could I don't like the idea of just letting them perish and if we could help someone else in the process all the better.) But on the other hand if we put back only one this time are we decreasing our chances if I had only one put back last time could the twin that I lost have been the one we put back resulting in no pregnancy. so did I infact increase my chance for a positive result last time by putting two instead of one (who knows) I guess everyone does what feels right at the time.
Maybe you should ask your clinic what these complications are that they are talking about lots of women safely carry twins and have healthy babes maybe then you can make a more informed decision as to what to do. Anyway are you getting excited about your FET you could be pregnant by the end of march what a thought hey.Is your DH getting excited also.

Hi em sorry you havent been feeling to well glad to see you feeling better though

Tiger hows your sister going with her two babes are they girls boys or one of each.

best go hi to everyone else hope your all we'll
