Well I had my 7 wk scan today ...... there's only one but with hearbeat intact! It looks like a snail! I cried my eyes out when the Dr left the room (what am I like, crying witha BFN and still crying with a BFP) Dh even had a wee tear in his eye too.

Wel I'm off to eat ... again (its all I ever seem to do at the minute )

Afternoon girls!

Thought I'd just let you know all went well yesterday. They transfered 2 blasto embies, although the embryologists said the quality was only average. Not sure how much of a difference that will make but at least they defrosted ok and continued to develop overnight. We got to see them before they put them back in and one had started to hatch out - it was quite surreal knowing what they could develop into! I also had acu before and after ET, so all in all I can't have done much more! Thankfully being on half term means I can do nothing without having to worry about work. Now I just have to get through the next 9 days without going mad!!

Lisa - excellent news on the scan! I can imagine how overwhelming it must have been after waiting and trying for long!! I'm so pleased for you and DH

Nickie - great news about AF, she managed to behave herself and arrive early!! Must be a good omen!

Julie - not long to wait now, a week! That will fly by and before you know it you'll be on the 2WW

Jen - how you doing? Feeling any better? You rest as much as poss, you're going to need all your energy for your wedding

Gail - hope the 'elephant' is not making you too tired!!

Lucy, Souris - hope everything is ok with you guys.

KATE you are next in line for a BFP!!! Don't focus on what grade embies were. Mine were tip top grade A 'perfect' they called them...and still no BFP. Gail was not given much hope from the clinic on her FET and here she is 34 wks preg!!! Keep in mind it's all about being positive and sending the vibes to the lille embies...sedning you BIG hugs and much ***BABY ***DUST*** x x

Nicki good luck with bloods tomorrow...I am so excited for you your first ivf willl soon start!!!! Go GIRL!!!!

Julie- did you have a good valantines night???? We went to the local pub sat by the fire and had fab pub grub with broc sitting at our heels. Fingers crossed for you that AF arrives on time and you get your FET next week... You and kate on 2ww together!!!! You willl be next for a BFP too!

As for me well the flu is nearly gone but i am still very tired and emotional all the time...i keep crying for no real reason...I just can't wait to get away on hols and relax ( well after the wedding i can )....Adam and i kep arguing over the slightest things but are fine 3 hrs later....think all this wedding stuff brings on nerves for us both...I was all wobbily with nerves when i got married 20 yrs ago ( iwas 19) but that was to be expected as i wasn't sure i could stay with him for all my life. With Adam i do want to stay with him...he and i work so well together...I just can't nderstand why i am having all theses emotions and tears???? Didyou ladies go through any wobbles before your weddings?

Hey!

Cheers for the good wishes girls, I do have a good feeling about this one. Call it woman intuition or what but I do feel really good about it (lets hope it doesn't come back to haunt me!!! ).

Jen - I think its normal to be emotional just before your wedding even if you know its completely the right thing and right person. I was the same before mine 18mths ago. Just kept welling up and crying for no apparent reason, I think it was just the stress of making sure everything was organised etc. By the time the actual day arrived I was a different person, not nervous or anything just really, really happy. You'll be the same once you get on the plane

Hope everyone else is doing ok and enjoyed valentines day?

Hope all ok. Just a quick one as bombed out at work . KATE - congrats to you and best of luck. Stay positive coz you're next!!! JEN- I think your feelings are compeltely natural. Everyone reacts in different ways to situations. I was so nervous and weepy on the run up but like Kate was sooo excited and happy on the day. Cried buckets the day after and think DH thought I had regrets (ha ha keep him on his toes!) - was just the release of all the tension. You will be fine. NIKKI - let me know how bloods go.

Kate hope the 2ww is going well, and half term has been chilled, are u back to wrk/school on monday ( what age do u teach??) The blastoculture really does shorten 2ww doesn t it?? We aredoing Blasto, all being well!!

I have been to clinic 2day, I start down regging on 5th March, this is 99% certain, as bloods are still to come back, you know the £350 bloods for the egg share, ad also my cycles need to be tied in with the recipient so we'll have to wait and see, but all being well, we r looking @ 5th March!!!

I start sniffing!!! Wahooo!!!!

Morning girls,

Hope evryone is having a good weekend? I'm having a 'down' day and need someone to kick my backside and tell me that I'm being silly!!

I've been having some mild cramping between 5-7am most mornings since my ET. I've had this on all my cycles and I now have it in my head that its a negative sign. My PMA is disappearing!! Just can't seem to shake the bad feeling, really think that if I am pregnant I wouldn't have this cramping. AGHHHHHHH!!!!


Still got another 3 days until I can test and I seriously need to start feeling more positive - any advice would be gratefully received!! Sorry if I depressed your Sunday mornings girls

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread. I was just reading the posts and wanted to send some PMA to Kate.

Kate, please don't give up! My 2nd 2ww was exactly the same as my 1st. I would have placed a million dollar bet on a BFN. I had cramping and PMT ...the classic signs of AF arriving. Will you get a blood test done or does your clinic ask you to do a HPT? If HPT please be careful which one you buy. Mine only gave a BFP if HCG was above 100mg (mine was 97 and so showed a neg result) Sending you buckets of PMA, I have everything crossed for you. Take care

Hello Girls, the biggest Disater has hit our house!!!

We have a leak, it's coming thro the ceiling and the bathroom is above. However the bathroom, doesn't appear to have leaks, turned off water supply and leak stopped, called plumber, and he bashed in floor boards and ceiling to see pipe work inbetween, and still no sign of a leak,

We were all expecting Jeremy Beadle to pop out from somewhere, I was in tears, as if i am not stressed enough with the forth coming IVF......

So now the plumber has gone, and the ceiling is damp, we have a huge whole in the bathroom that you can view the kitchen from and the insurance company tells me we aren't covered for that!!!!

Arghhh!!!!!

I am so mad, so now we have turned the water back on and there's no leak!!

So just paid a plumber £130 to put a hole in my floor/ceiling, and the insurance wont cover me, and what about the leak where is it now??? no water!!!

SO i have shut the bathroom door an will just have to call some1 else in the morning. Luckily we have another toilet and shower room!!

anyway, enough about that, i feel my stress levels rising again!!!

Anna - thanks for that advice. I'm glad someone else had exactly the same symptoms on two cycles and still got a BFP. My PMA is back (although slightly lower than before!!) and until Thursday I won't know one way or the other so there is no point in worrying (yeah right!!). Unfortunately, I have to do a HPT, they don't do a blood test. I've always used clear blue, is that the best one to use?

Nickie - what a nightmare!! We had a similar thing happen to us, had just finished our extension, put in the new bathroom, went to use it and water all over our kitchen!!! We also had a nice hole in our ceiling! Hang in there, I'm sure you'll be able to get it sorted. How come its not covered on the insurance? I though that was what we paid it for? At least it will be all sorted by the time you start your IVF so you won't be too stressed.

Hope everyone else is ok, back to work for me this morning after half term -Yuk!

NIKKI - Hope you are ok hun - hope the water problem is sorted. We have similar nightmares at every house we have had. Currently the new bedroom is being done on 9 March but we have water coming in the chimney breast and unsure where from. Hope we don't have to cancel that!! Hope the plumber sorts you out! Well done on 5 March by the way!

As for me AF due tomorrow but no sign!! when she does arrive I can ring and request treament for FET cycle. Will be put on tabs and transfer probably 3/4 week after xxx

Jen hope you managed to get some skiing done at the weekend and you are feeling much better.

Lisa its such an amazing feeling seeing baby at 7 week scan, mine was described as a baked Bean with a heartbeat. I ate loads in the first few weeks, actually I am still eating quite a lot now!! How long are you trying to keep it quiet from your friends for?

Kate I was so sure that my AF was going to arrive that I nearly didn’t bother doing a test and I didn’t even wait for DH to get in from work I just wanted to get it over with. Don’t read anything into those pains of yours. Sending you bucket loads of PMA.

Nicki sorry to hear about your added stress, not what you need at the moment. Not long until you start on the down regging. Have you had the blood results back yet?

Well my baby weighed approx 5 ½ lbs when I went for a scan last week, so she should be a good size when she is born, but not too big hopefully!!!!! Im trying not to think about the actual birth too much!
