AF showed up today. Yay!!! I called the nurse's line and left a message. I'm waiting for them to call me back to tell me when to come in for my baseline ultrasound and bw.

I think the Medrol is an anti-inflammatory or a steriod. I could be wrong about that. I remember reading somewhere, it is for ICSI.

I just read that Medrol or Tetracycline(TN) are given to ICSI patients to lower the body's defense mechanisms, thereby enhancing the chances of implantation.

Hi Everyone!

I had another bw and u.s. this morning and am waiting for the call-back. They seem to think I will be ready now for the trigger shot but we'll see. I know that I have two bottles of pills, one is an antibiotic and I'm not sure what the other is and then the progesterone.

I think you start taking the progesterone right after you have the ER done.???

We aren't supposed to be doing ICSI so I'm not sure what is different about that ??

Archana, I was wondering if we were close to the same schedule, which means maybe you are doing your ER now?

I hear you Ingrid about those needles, I hope it isn't as bad as it looks. I can't imagine what my butt will look like after two months of doing that! A big purple blob!

Love, I have a heck of a time keeping track of everything they tell me, I have a million folders stuffed with notes and papers. I'm trying to keep everything on a calendar that I printed out but it's all squeezed in! When we do our meds everynight we have stuff spread all over the floor looking for the right needles and papers. Fun fun!

I hope you are all handling everything well, I'm trying so hard not think about whether this will work or not, just trying to let it in God's hands and hoping for the best!!

Ahhhh, beautiful rainy day here today

Well Ingrid (my cycle sista

), I made an appointment for acupuncture this morning .... she told me by just doing a treatment the day of ET (right before and right after) that alone would raise my odds from approx. 20 (something) % to 40 (something) % ... what is also very great is ... her office is located in the same building (across the hall) from when my ET will be done

I will be having weekly visits done before then though (she recommended 2 x a week)
oh, and I guess I should inquire about the progesterone ... huh?

I would like to look into acupuncture. I believe my insurance gives up to 30% off. I'm going to look into it. Is there a certain type of acupuncturist I should be looking for?

Hi christie,

Yesterday at my US & BW appointment, I asked my Dr. about acupuncture to see if he was O.K. with me doing it and he said, "yes, it would be great for me to do" !!! .... he told me of the "group" that he recommends

I also looked at a website to another IVF office that is really close to my home (but not in my insurance network) their website also highly recommended acupuncture for IVF

Well, my ER date is finally here, this Thursday 9/13. I have 4 measurable follies on the right between 13 and 18 and 8 measurable on the left between 10 and 26. Does anyone know if this a really good number or just average? They tell me it is good but it's hard to tell... they told me they wanted me to at least have 4 over 14. My estrogen was at 1487.

Time for the HCG tonight, that one usually leaves a nice little lump on my leg

But I'm getting a little bit excited now, I can't believe how long we've waited to do this and it's finally almost here.

Hi Keddie,
Your follicles sound great. I know on my first IVF they found 3-4 that were atleast 18 mm and they got 9 good mature eggs from me. They are still growing so you may have even more mature eggs!! Good Luck!!!

Update - I went for ER this morning, we got 15 eggs in total, everything seems good so far...hoping for them to grow and then one to stick, I hope my prayers will be answered this time.
One more thing, this time the number is better than the last two times

Post ER symptoms are showing up - bad back pain, cramps, can't wal straight....ladies don't forget to be hydrated.

I'm so glad those are good numbers. I took the trigger last night and am supposed to be there for the ER at 9:15a.m tomorrow.

Archana, THAT IS WONDERFUL! I'm so happy they got so many - 15 WOW!!! I will be praying for you and anxious to hear. I didn't realize there were post ER symptoms. I guess you are supposed to drink lots of water the day before? They told me not to eat or drink after midnight tonight was all... Soon will be your ET GOOD LUCK I'll be thinkin of you.

Donna, wow, 9 mature, that is something how that works. I am so anxious to hear what happens tomorrow. I hope today goes fast, I'm tired of wating already

Where are you in your cycle now?

Thanks Kelly...I was given 10 number by the RE on the last scan day. But they were hoping for a higher number as some of them might be hiding, so yes I am very happy!!

I was also asked not to have anything orally after midnight. And I tried my best to keep myself hydrated before and now after ER.

I am so happy that we are connected in another way too!! Ahmedabad is an upcoming town in the state of Gujarat. Your branch office is liitle far off from here...approx 10 miles from here.

Good luck to all of you who have had or are having your ER. I'm crossing my fingers that we all end up with BFPs this time. I had my baseline us/bw today. I got the call to start my Gonal-F tonight. I'm so excited to be starting the stims finally.

Hi ladies~ Sorry I haven't been on - my sister is in ICU because her kidneys and liver have failed.

I will write personals as soon as I can - but YEA for those who have gone to retrieval. Lots of sticky baby dust to you guys. I will be watching for BFP's.

I had my baseline U/S and E2 after 5 days of stimming - I had 6+ follies on the left and 12+ follies on the right. All of them right around 10 - but they didn't measure. My E2 came back really high at 1374 so they told me to stop Menupur and to keep with the Follistim.

I will check in later.
