Hi all and welcome all newcomers!

I am officially ready!

All bloodtests are done, seamen culture done, consent forms are in, injection refresher done, meds are in the home and my cycles are finally back to normal again.

Now I will start the 18-19 day countdown to IVF, around March 8 or 9.

It will go fast for me as I am going away for a week on Monday and I am really busy until then.

How is everyone's else timing? Anyone cycling around the same time?

DH 55 lots of good swimmers
3xclomid BFN
3xIUI BFN
First and last IVF:

Sisi- If I can get in for this polyp removal and back on track, I would be starting stims on 3/13 with er/et week of 3/23. But if I don';t get in quick, or we can't coordinate with TESE doc, then we will be bumped to april, so we may be cycling close together.

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all hanging in there as we gear up for our cycles.

CT_Michele - I love that term - cyber-condriac :-) LOL. I think I am one. After my first failed cycle, I was a crazy googler. I have calmed down now, but only because I feel like there is nothing left to read. HAHA. But other than medical stuff, I do google everything. I love your toast story. When is your polyp sugery scheduled?

Sis1 - glad to hear you are a go! Won't be long now.

Wishfull- hope your trip went well

latinosunshine - I know what you mean about staying busy during the cycle. It makes the days go so much faster.

Sari - hope you are feeling better.

Hello to everyone else.

AFM - HSS went well. Uterus is clear and normal. I will start Lupron on Tuesday. Can't beleive this is my 3rd cycle. It is amazing what you can get used to and what becomes normal. I actually look forward to starting my shots now. It makes me feel like I am doing something constructive towards holding my baby :-)

Hello everyone,

I've had a busy few days and now I have to try to catch up.

Welcome latinosunshine! I hope you can take your mind off this a little. I know just how you feel. I think when I was waiting to start my nasal spray the anxiety caused me to ovulate later than normal and now I will have to wait longer to start stimming. What a vicsious cycle we're in if we let our minds take over!

Sisi that is so exciting that you are ready to go. I don't know when I'll start stimming - just depends on the that fickle AF lady. But I may be close to you. I think she'll come anytine in the next week. I'm trying hard to pretend like I don't care when she comes, but I'm not sure i'm fooling anyone!

Michele I finally got to see your little Ella Michele!! How adorable!! I loved the videos and the pics on shutterfly. I was able to view both on DH's computer. I think DH had his heart strings tugged watching the giggle fit! That is just the sweetest sound! I hope you can get your polyp taken care of soon so you can get on with making another sweet baby!

Wishing I'm glad you got the all clear to start your cycle. Third time will for sure be the charm!! I hope I handle the shots as well as you do!

Sari Take care of your self - and I know it is so hard to do, but try not to worry too much.

Sara your course sounds very interesting. For some reason that kind of stuff fascinates me. I am always interested in the 'why'. I just had a mini workshop on FASD. It was very interesting. Thank you for all the hard work that you and DH do for those children. You deserve a BIG (((((HUG)))))!

Wishful I hope your work meeting went alright. Did you at least get to go to nice place?

sun, are you now on your meds? I hope it's going well.

Sprouthaus are you in Florida right now? If you are I hope you're having a great time! If not then I hope you're just busy and doing fine!

AFM, Still taking Synarel, going to my 3rd AP appointment today. Trying to stay all 'zen' like, but last night I felt bloated and crampy and then got all excited and anxious thinking it was AF, but really I think it was just gas  . So now i know that I need to try a whole lot harder on the being zen thing!

Have a great Thursday everyone! ( I know your days are half over, but mine's just begun!)

Ok, got period today so I start BCP on Saturday. I am on BCP until March 16th. They had gotten my hopes up of being done with IVF earlier but doctor changed my protocol. They are putting me on Gonal F, Menopur and Lupron. ER is sometime the week of March 30th with a 3 day transfer if everything goes as planned.

Im super scared and nervous. Any advice about the meds will help. I did confirm no Krav Maga (Israeli combat training) after ER. Only walking.

Hi everyone, would it be OK to join this group? I'm waiting to start a cycle of IVF and getting very apprehensive about the 'unknown' (particularly about the stimulation injections and the egg collection). My husband and I aren't planning to tell anyone what we're doing so it would be nice to have the support of a group of lovely ladies all experiencing the same thing.

Our story is: We've been TTC for 4 years. I'm 34 and my husband is 40. The doctors weren't sure that I was ovulating (I have a regular 28 day cycle and normal hormone levels but I didn't ovulate when I went for a series of ultrasounds) so I took Clomid for a year (last month was my last month of it as the doctors won't let me take it for any longer than 12 months because of increased risk of cancer). Plus my husband was diagnosed almost a year ago with sperm antibodies so he has been taking steroids to try and reduce that (although his most recent sample for the IVF clinic showed no antibodies and a good count but poor motility - bizarre). We've had four unsuccessful cycles of IUI over the last year (with Clomid and steroids) - the last unsuccessul attempt was January and we are now moving onto our first cycle of IVF.

My timings are that I start down regulating on 5th March (my day 21), with a baseline assessment on 2nd April and likely egg collection in w/c 13th April. So I think that makes me a little later than most of the ladies on this thread?

Hope I can join you, it would be lovely to have people to share things with.

Hazel

P.S. Apologies if I'm not using all the right abbreviations - I'm new to this and still figuring out what some things mean!

March/April cycle buddies??

Hello hjw:

Welcome. You have came to the right place. I join a few days ago and found it to be very healthy to my mind, reading and learning from all this amazings and brave ladies.

You are right not telling anyone. Not many people understand this process, and others ask many, many questions. Enjoy (if you can call it that) this with your DH and talk to us as often as you need. I became addicted to this site. I have laugh so hard, and cry too.

My day 21 of BCP is march 4. My nurse told me she would call me that week with more instructions.

latinosunshine, congrats on AF! I wouldn't normally wish her on someone but now you can get started on your BCPs! Yeah!! :D

Welcome, Hazel! These boards are most certainly the place to be for support from people who know what it's like. It sounds like you and DH (Dear Husband) have been through a lot already. It is really helpful to read the boards and get an idea of what other people are experiencing. That helps it feel a little less unknown. And if you fear the unknown like I do, that is comforting! I think you'll be just fine on this board doing your ER (egg retrieval) in April. We will have people with different dates and I'm sure more people will join along the way!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Personally I am fab b/c: 1) it's Friday 2) I have workshop all day (read: no kids!) and 3) I'm going to meet my friend's DD (Dear Daughter) who finally arrived yesterday! :D :D

Hello beautiful ladies!

I am sorry for being MIA. It has been a very hectic week! I feel so behind that I think I will skip personals for now - but let me give a warm welcome to all the newcomers to the thread! Welcome, welcome! You have come to the right place - we have an amazing group of women here.

I will try to get the list updated with all of the new information, but it may take me a while - so bare with me.

AFM - I have been watching my BBT and using OPKs this month to determine when I ovulate. I haven't done this for over a year, and since I've been through 2 IVFs since then - I thought I should go back. Well, I've been expecting the big O for a week now and it looks like its finally on its way! Unfortunately, I'm not sure why my cycles are so much longer now (last month was same). I'll ask RE when I see her next. In the meantime, I'm working on all the necessary paperwork to get a consult at SIRM. Just looking for a 2nd opinion before we do our 3rd (and possibly last) round.

On a non-TTC note, I have booked a girls weekend to the UK in two weeks! We will be gone for 4 days and there will be 3 of us traveling from Chicago and one already there. I am getting really excited because three of my 3rd-cousins from Ireland will come over to Windsor too so that we can all hang out! I've only met one of my 3rd-cousins, so I'm excited to meet more : )

Anyway, I'm in FULL shopaholic mode - so any good shopping tips while I'm over there are appreciated. I'm sure we will go into London for a day/night as one of the girls has never been. I myself haven't been to the UK since I was "stuck" there over 9/11. I am very much looking forward to my return trip : )

Love and Hugs to all!

1st time doing IVF

Post by Trying for another Angel »

Hi, I'm new here. I should be starting my first IVF cycle in early March. I'm super nervous and anxious. I'm so happy to have found this message board...it's really helpful! I would love to find a cycle buddy to go thru this with! We are actually still doing a pre-cycle testing. I have to do a hysterscope next Wed. and maybe some blood work then we should be all set. The anxiety is brutal and I can't imagine the waiting once the do the ET!

First IVF
Too, too excited,
too excited to sleep
for I'm on the path to fulfilling
a dream I hold so deep.
It's wonderful to feel so happy and glad.
My heart is buzzing with joy
For it's possible the miracle of I.V.F.
will give me a precious girl or boy
This moment has come after such a long time
I don't need to justify reasons;
I just want what I hope to be mine
The "Crying Mum" that's what I'll be
with those tears you only shed
when you're deliriously happy
But still, each day feels so long
How can this be so?
Hours and minutes please grow wings
so I can feel my baby,
Our beautiful baby
grow . :D

Morning ladies .. wow you have been busy posting this week :o

Welcome to Hazel and Eileen - this board will definitely help you through the process and you will soon pick up all the abbreviations - there is a thread with them all on under the general forum if that helps!

Had manic week at work with meetings and overnight stay, which was more up all night talking and drinking and little sleep - I am such an eight hours sleep girl - needless to say last night I was in bed and asleep by 7.30pm ... heaven - so this morning up early and full of beans !!!

DH accomplished his mission trip to Prague - however missed his flight back cos of flat tyre on hire car and ended up costing a fortune for another flight and airport hotel  these things are meant to try us!!!

Right here goes for trying to catch up on personals!!

wishing- glad the HSS was all clear - are you ready to go now with the Lupron ?

Sis - all ready to rock and roll - I think the waiting to start to cycel is the worst part .. all crossed for you love xx

Kim - hope appointment went ok and you have got your protocol now, give the baby a huge hug from all its cyber aunties

Latino - ooo BCP - we all seem to be on them at moment - jusat find it hard to get my head round TTC and been on BCP !!!

Hazel - 5th of March is not long away .. I am like you and the only people that know about us doing IVF are my parents .. its hard but also good that don't have to tell everyone the outcome if not the BFP we all dream about - you will get loads of support here :D

sari - sounds like you ahd hazel will be days aprat cycling - hope your all ok and enjoying sharing the secret with DH xx

Sprout - long weekend in London in the spring how lovely - if you were coming for longer Lee and I could have come and met up with you :D Got to shop till you drop - although Windsor is a beautiful place - I just love Covent Garden - could sit for hours there just watching the world go by!!

Eileen - hope the Hysterscope goes ok on wednesday and they don't find anything that may delay treatment xx

Lee - oooo all on schedule - you will be are first PUPO lady and will set off the thread with that BFP .. got to start to cut that work load down girly and focus on you and DH and the embies :D

Sunmoon - hows you - are you all on track for treatment now ??

CT - hope your plan to get Polyp removed all falls in to place so you can get back on track - all crossed for you honey xx

Don't think I have missed anyone - sorry if i have - need to o wake DH up now - nicely of course

Got to get his car to garage - don;t you just love jobs like that and then PT session at gym this afternoon and then slobbing in front of TV all night

Have a great weekend ladies
