SarahD - I had eight that were in the 16-19mm range, then a few more that were around 13mm that might get ripe enough in time. I think there were 2 or 3 more around 8 or 9 mm - not sure they're expecting those to mature enough. When are you expecting to go to ER? I find myself getting more nervous the closer we get to the 2ww!

Hey everyone!
Well it turns out that the lady I spoke to on the phone was in fact wrong and the cycle will be covered. I really would not be able to go ahead with it if they told me it wasnt. I was so stressed out thinking I would have to stop the injections. Thank you ladies for all your support!
Faith, are you studying for the boards right now? Do you mind if I ask what field you are in? (You dont have to say it if you dont feel comfortable). Im still a student, thinking of going into anesthesiology. Studying for step2 as I go through this cycle. Hopefully it will motivate me to do well.
Oh, and you mentioned you are taking lupron in a smaller dose? When did they tell you to lower it? They started me on 10cc Lupron, but told me to take it for the full 2weeks before I go in for my US and suppression check.

Hey Ladies--
I was hoping that I could join you. I am currently starting my 5th IVF cycle. I had one successful and had my DS in January. Due to DHs insurance, we have to start trying again right away before we lose it. I did a cycle last month...BFN. So AF arrived Friday and I have a baseline and u/s with eval of my uterus Monday morning and hopefully will start stims Monday night. Last cycle only one egg fertilized becasue DH has 1%morphology and we dont do ICSI becasue I have strange eggs and the embryologist thinks that the needle is harming them, so we pray for fertilization, that is our hardest part! Hope that all you ladies are keeping postive and strong through this journey....I have done this enough times if anyone has any questions....I'll try to help the beginners! Good luck to everyone....Hope we see a lot of BFPS on this board!

Follies developed well, looks like I may have 6...19, 18, 16, 15, 11, 11, >7 . Where o where did the other left follies go?

mom2luke - that is alot! I did the progesterone vaginally during my IUI's. not fun.. but I think I'd rather that. I'm scheduled for Progersterone IM this time.

I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I started one too (April/May IVF Treatment 1st Timer) and it seems that a few of you are also on Lupron. Tonight will be my 4th injection. No side effects so far.
Menopur and Repronex are FSH drugs that I've been presribed. Expecting AF to come late next week and then off I go.

medstudent mom :I am done with my med school.. cleared step 1 and step2 last year then took a break and spent some quality time with my daughter 
now am planning to take my step 3 ..not sure when but soon ..hopefully by this year... when are you taking your step 2 ???it's alot easier than step 1..good luck !!!
yes I am still on lupron .. they started me on a higher dose for about 10 days and then once they started stims then I was told to decrease the dose ..

Hi everyone hope you all hada a good weekend.
My update
Started BC on saturday the 25th and the nurse told me to saty on it untill May 6th. That I should get AF two days after stoping the BC. On the 11th I have an apoinment for an ultrasound and if all is well I would start with Gonal-f 1050 that same day.

got a call from my IVF nurse. 5 of my embryos are where they want them and they will do a 5 day transfer on wed. the other 5 are lagging and she said the embryologist will tell me on wed. if they caught up. does anyone know if this is normal for only 5 to be on target??

mom2luke Hey! I should be getting a report today to see if we can do a 5 day transfer on Thursday. I did ER on Saturday and 13 eggs fertilized. I'm waiting on the report today to see if they feel we need to do tomorrow or if we're good to wait for Thursday.

OK... the nurse left a voicemail telling to only use one Bravelle tonight and same amount of Lupron. I've been doing 1-Bravelle and 1-Menopur plus the 5units of Lupron. I called back to ask her if they know if trigger will still be tomorrow and they wont know until the US tomorrow.

kelly or dixie_chop, eithor is fine....
I need someones help!!!! I am supposed to take my first Menopur injection, like right now. THey gave me these mammoth needs to use. I don't remember having to use big needles the last time for menopur. Who ever is taking it now, are you able to use the smaller SubQ needles or are yours big as well???? I really don't think I can give myself the shot with a needles of this size. The diabetic ones were fine, but this thing is crazy. Hope you all get this soon!!!!

Anyways , I am a little sad today :(went for my 2nd U/s and b/W .. I have about 12 follies all together ...all ranging from 13 to 8 mm... I was hoping for more as i was on 2 menopurs and 1 bravelle .. don't know wether thats a good number or not ..I still have time but lets see what happens .. Girls those of you who are ahead of me ,do you think by increasing the dose of my meds (that is if my doc does ) can I still increase the number of my follies or will it only increase their size??

i was on menupor and i used the subq needles. they were the 25 guage 5/8th needle. they might give you the big one just to mix it with.
faith03--as this is my first time at IVF but i think menupor will just increase the size of them at this point. they had me reduce my menupor because they didn't want the lead follilcs to get to big and stimulate ovulation. but i could be wrong. i only had 10.
