Hello ladies!!! I need to do a lot of catch up... as usual!!! this thread is getting pretty busy which is great, that only means everybody is getting closer to being PUPO!!!!

fitzjr11 I'm so happy to hear everything went ok at your appt.!! I'm sure your cycle is gonna go great and you'll be preg in Sept. Is this your first cycle??

Tangela I know how desperate you can get with this whole IVF thing, but I think you should listen to your RE. We transferred 2 but they were not the best quality, we thought about 3 but decided to stick to 2, we are ok with twins but triplets are very high risk pregnancies. I agree with your RE if you have perfect blasts I'm sure you'll do great with 2 and still have other 2 for a future FET.

shelby I always say you have to trust your RE!!! Enjoy the rest of the summer make some plans and before you know it you are right back on the game!!! We'll be more than happy to hear from you and your progress please come check in one in a while!!!

Cheeky great news!!! I'm so happy for you!! I'll do the grow follies grow dane for you!!! good luck on your next scan!! Keep us posted!!

Gi Go buy the kit!!! I've heard so many stories of people getting preg. while waiting for treatment. I good friend of mine is 8 weeks now, she was only for AF to arrive to get started and she never came!!! So, you never know, I say go for it!!! I love football (soccer) enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

Katie99 how are you doing?? Still on BCPs. Hope everything is good and you are enjoying the weekend!!!

KatieG What did you decided on?? I know its so hard to try to have some quiet time around the IVF. I took all summer off of work!!! So I'm one who needs less stress as possible!!! But anyways, things never go according to your plans!! So I hope you make the best decision for YOU, since you are the one who needs to be as relaxed as posible.

Anissabug thanks for your post. I do believe that if its meant to be it will. I've had 2 BFNs with perfect embies, so we'll see. So far I'm enjoying being Pupo!!! I've never been on Menopur but I'm sure it's going to take you a few goes and you'll be a pro!!! I'll do the AF dance for you!!!

Dogz how are you? I read your post on the board and I think I did get some discharge with stimms. And it only gets worse with PIO!!!! I really didn't pay much attention to it, but you should call you RE office when you are freaking out!!! Good luck stimming!!! Grow follies!!!

I'm sorry if I'm missing anyone!!! You are all in my prayers!!!

Lots of PMA and baby dust to you all!!!!

My sono went well this morning, everything's growing nicely. Doc wants me to come in again in the morning (driving two hours everyday for a 15 min appt is grrrr), and my pre-op is still set for Monday. Guess I'll know tomorrow if anything's changed on the timing!

fitzjr, I take it you are a teacher? Me too!!! Can you IMAGINE doing this during the school year? Yikes!

Two hours round trip, not one-way, so it could be worse. :D I like PUPO!!! Thanks for the explanation!

I just wanted to thank dogzrule for suggesting this thread and helping me with the abbreviations.

I just received my meds the other day and I start on July 15th. I will be taking Lupron (5 units), Follistim (225), Menopur and Progesterone. I must admit I was shocked when I opened the box. Apparently the Stimulation is 26th – Aug 4th.

Which of these meds are the toughest? This is my first go around.

I am a split donor to help off-set the cost. If there are only 8 eggs then I keep them all. I am 33, and they counted 18 pre-eggs (but from what I read, only a few make it to fertilization).

I am hopeful!!!

I wish everyone lots and lots of “baby dust”!

cressicaw - SO GLAD you came over to this thread!!! Sounds like we are on the same protocol (and same mounts too! How much menopur? They were going to have me at 75 but bumped it to 150 after my baseline e2/sono). While you will be taking lupron, follistim and menopur all at the same time, the PIO (progesterone in oil ) won't be until the ER. The lupron was the easiest. The follistim was a little intimidating at first (what if I dial the wrong dose and don't dial all the way to zero UGH?!?!) but turned out to be a piece of cake. The menopur was the most difficult because of all the mixing and needle changes, but after the first day, it was no problemo. I'm so excited for you and blowing lots of baby dust your way! :D

Menopur is 75, and then I call in to see if it gets raised. Both Follistim and Menopur are listed together (is that ideal)?

Oh, I am just so thrilled to have someone to share this with that has gone through it before! :D

We are also doing ICSI.

This is my 1st time too, I'm just a few weeks ahead of you. :D Yes, follistim and menopur both have the same purpose, hence they are listed together. Not sure if we are doing ICSI or not. Based on my hubby's SA, it was not needed, but you never know what his swimmies will look like the day of. We had some frozen too barring a disaster (like he couldn't make it to the appt that day due to work). By best friend told me her clinic makes that a required practice after one time when a wife was there for her ER, her hubby ran to get breakfast real quick but got into a minor car accident on the way back and missed the timing. The whole cycle was LOST. Can you imagine? The HORROR!!!

We too did IUI 7 years ago, twice (obviously failed). Then they went in and found endometriosis. All these years later, and we're finally doing ivf. I had just had it at that point and was done. It was taking over my life, and I couldn't do it anymore. Apparently I'm ready now! It just took a REALLY long time for me to get here.

Good morning Ladies:

I can't keep up with all of the posts. I did 5 days of Femara pills and now it is time to start the 3 days of gonal-f shots. I'm dreading the shots, as it has been awhile since I had to do them. It just goes against human nature to stick yourself.

Take care all,
Tammy

OK ladies I officially made my decision. I called and talked to the nurse and she said I could stay on the active BCP skip the white ones and I could pick the day I go in for Lupron and start the whole process. I decided to do it on August 10. That means I will get AF Within a week of the lupron and I will have ET about 18 days from AF. So I am looking at very end of August or early Sept. I decided to do that so I can move and be uppacked and paint before ET. I feel so much better having a set date in my mind and not stressing going back and forth.

Good luck to everyone. It seems like its going well so far!!
