Hey Ladies--
It looks like everyone is getting ready to get started! I talked to RE yesterday and since I haven't gotten AF since my m/c on June 25th it looks like I will miss the Sept cycle. So I am looking at mid October now. If I don't get af in the next week they will induce it. Sorry that i won't be cycling with you all. Good luck to everyone!

Stat- how long you have to take the bcp for? I just started today also but I didn't get a schedule. I'm going to be on it for 3 weeks. I'm kinda anxious to start.

jaydentd - 3 weeks, same as you! Looks like we might be pretty much perfect cycle buddies this time :) Unless your clinic throws in anything extra to make you wait longer due to a back log of people hitting the same point in their cycle at the same time, I bet your cycle will look very similar to mine when you finally get it. Are you doing lupron and follistem?

Hey ladies;
I am back for another round of IVF. For those who dont know me previously from the Nov/Dec, January/Feb and June/July boards, here is my story.
Been trying with IVF for 1 year now. 1st 2 fresh cycles yielded 9 eggs but I couldnt go on to ET because of severe OHSS. We started again in June for a FET but after my embryos were defrosted they stopped growing so we are back at square 1. I was taking Lupron after that but it seemed to have the opposite effect on me and my ovaries swelled up to the size of grapefruits and I got OHSS again...without stims!!! I just started taking metformin because my RE thinks I am insulin resistant but I am allergic to it! I have been breaking out in hives for a week. Seriously I think I am a freak of nature or something.
ANyway I am waiting for AF so I can start BCPs again and hopefully have a September fresh cycle.
Heres hoping for lots of BFPs!!!

AFM, have been a leeeetle bit bitchy today..... especially at work. Mjay, I think I might make an acupuncture appointment. I did a course of treatments and they are SO relaxing.

firesauce - WELCOME!

praying4BFP - WELCOME! We're glad to have you with us. Sorry for your struggles, what a journey. I'll be praying for your BFP this cycle. I hope things only get better for you.

Neffi - Sorry that you won't be able to cycle until October. Please stay with us on this thread. I am sure there are some women who will end up with October cycles. I'll be thinking about you.

Michele - any word on your u/s and b/w yet?

J&C - I hope your saline goes well. I can't believe that story about your dh!

AFM, I am back in the game! I did my first lupron injection today. Oh gosh, I really really hope that this cycle doesn't get canceled too. Hopefully one month from today I will be taking it easy after my FET!

Ladies- I know I have some catching up to do on personals, which I will do by friday...maybe tomorrow

Just wanted to thank you all for thinking of me and let you know that nothing has changed, e2 actually doubled, so I am still holding and continuing to prick myself with a double dose of lupron every night...ugh. I will go for bw on tuesday again, but RE thinks I will get af in 2-3 weeks and then I will be supressed. So who knows if I will even make september.

I will post again soon.

Lady J - Yes. The BC they put me on was Yaz. It took a few days for the symptoms to start, but I was terribly nauseated and just felt drained all the time. I thought it was the prenatal vitamins, but there towards the end of me taking them, DH suggested the bc. A couple of days after I quit them, I was fine. And no problem about the list. I work @ home so I usually read during the day, but only take the time to post either after I am done or before I begin. My pleasure!

Mjay - LOL about the video. I didn't get a video, but I am used to seeing my mom's insulin pen so that helped me. As for the Follistim and Lupron, I'm not absolutely sure, but I would guess that continuing the Lupron is preventing you from ovulating all the eggs that the Follistim will help produce. According to my clinic, I will start the Lupron @ 20. After ten days, I will decrease to 10 and then start Follistim. I am going to pay for my cycle today and will ask the nurse if I see her.

Firesauce - Cry away! we'll be here no matter what and we want to see everyone have their BFP!

Jaydentd
- I live in the Northern part of GA and the closest clinic to me is in TN. It's called the Fertility Center. I would much rather drive there than go to Atlanta. And the people there.... we'll let's say I don't feel like I'm going to the Dr. when I go. I feel like I'm visiting friends. When we got our first BFP, and I kid you not, everyone in the office came out of their rooms and offices to congratulate us. We grow a big garden every year and we have taken baskets of fresh veggies there during this season. And I'm pretty stingy when it comes to that. It's hard work to grow that stuff! I hope and pray this Lupron protocol is going to do it for me this time. They seem pretty confident about it since I got pregnant last time. How did your appt. go?

Stats - Great to see your schedule! I bet you are really excited now! I know I was 8)

Neffi - I'm sorry to hear about the delay :( But Please hang aroud with us!!! Like Wolffie said, some of us may be pushed to Oct.

Prayin4BFP - Sorry to hear about your past cycles, but elated to have you with us and to know that you are still moving on! Do you know what meds they will try you on this time?

Michele - Don't give up and please hang around with us regardless of it you make Sept. I think we should make this a Sept/Oct. board and that way you can stay!

J&C - LOL about your story! That is hilarious!

Wolffie - So how's the Lupron? I get mine on Friday to start on Sun. I'll be praying for you girl! It's gonna work this time! We are close in our cycles so you will get your BFP 4 days before me! LUCKY!!!!

AFM - I did scuba diving yesterday for what I hope is the last time for about a year!!!! I can't dive while pregnant and I'm GOING TO GET PREGNANT IN SEPTEMBER!!!! Ok, I feel better now. :D

I hope everyone else is doing well and prepping their bodies for big bellies! DH mentioned the other week about putting 3 embies back this time. Don't know if I want to do that. 2 sounds good to me. We still have some time to talk about it. I didn't make it to delivery with 1 embie, but with my luck, one of the 2 we put back will split and I'll have triplets! WOW! Can't even imagine! DH's attitude is: "Well, what's one more diaper to change?" Guess I'm lucky he's so understanding and supportive.

shelbyrn0214 - You mentioned driving to TN - are you driving to Chattanooga or Nashville?

Michele - Sorry to hear the news. I think there are really a lot of Sept/Oct people on here already, so I hope you stick around with us. I know it's hard to be delayed. In the meantime, I hope Ella's birthday plans are going well :)

AFM, day two of bcp. Nothing exciting really, except it feels good to be started in a cycle again.

Hi Girls,

Reading through all of your posts, you all make me feel way more confident about the injections and meds.

jaydentd - Hopefully when I go for my u/s & b/w they will show me and DH how to give the injections. They have a video on their website also.

shelbyrn0214 - I would hope my clinic will give us more details as we progress but if not I will hound them every day.

J&C - I LMAO at your story!

CT_Michele - Sorry to hear about your delay, that stinks.

I have nine more days on the BCP's and then wait for AF to show up.
DH and I are taking a romantic weekend away this weekend to a couples only resort in the Poconos  Right now I am sitting in work and waiting for Friday to come!

Shelby - so far the lupron isn't too bad (but only one day down)! I don't mind doing the injections but my last cycle (before it was canceled) i was getting nasty headaches. I didn't have them during my very first cycle so hopefully I won't this time either. I can't wait to see all our BFP's on the list!!! I love your PMA by the way and it is contagious! I love that you went scuba diving yesterday! My dh has a Harley and I have been trying to get as much with him in as possible before September.

Jen - the romantic weekend sounds like a great time! I hope you enjoy yourselves! I think it's important to still remember to share 'intimate' experiences through all the since fertility treatment kinda takes away the romance!

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the title of this group? I'd like to add make it a Sept/Oct. cycling friends!
