jg- no, my bday is in april so i'm officially 30 and 1/2 now. how are you doin? been thinkin bout you and the nausea. told DH about you and the dead skunk. in march we had a skunk burrow underneath our house (we don't have a basement) and got stuck. so he ran back and forth, the entire length of the house, spraying that awful smell. we had just moved in, cleaned the carpets and hired someone to clean the entire house the week before! after about a gallon of febreze and boxes of baking soda the smell went away for the most part. i also heard that the u.s. is in the middle of skunk infestation.
me- 30 and normal
DH- 33, low sperm count

mjay- doing good here. The anti-nausea meds I have been taking make me feel better. What's funny though, is sometime I let them wear off on purpose just so that I can feel the nausea again and know that everything's okay :-). Other than that, i've been just super tired. I feel pretty good in the mornings for a few hours, but by around 1 in the afternoon, i'm toast! I can barely make it home from work without closing my eyes. I try to take naps at work, but it's hard to get any privacy and no one knows that i'm pregnant, so when I do sneak away, I get all paranoid that someone is going to walk in on me sleeping. My in-laws had the same issue as you with the skunks. They had a mama skunk in their window well and she had babies. They agitated her by trying to kick them out, and they had the window to their kitchen open right above where they were staying. She sprayed everywhere and the smell got inside and it reeked! The funny part was, a few weeks later, we went over there and they had told us over the phone that the skunk smell was gone. When we got there, it was still really smelly, but they couldn't even notice it anymore, their noses had become desensitized to it.

Wow, having a birthday in April, maybe your babies will share the same day as you! Let's hope for the full 40 weeks though. I got that book a couple of weeks ago and I can't keep my eyes open long enough to read more than a few pages at a time. I just want to have healthy, and big babies and not have to worry about a NICU or bedrest.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm really scared about this one, I think because i'm 8w2d tomorrow and I miscarried at that exact time last time. I just hope they're both doing okay.

Hi Ladies,

I had my first OB appt yesterday and everything is good with all 3. We had to sit through all the doom and gloom information and selective termination suggestion once again. It's amazing that they feel that suggesting that is ok. All heartbeats were good and in the 140 range. I have 2 more appts at the RE but wanted to meet with the OB early. I'm 7 wks 5 days now! I haven't had any morning sickness and the Doc says I'm not likely to at this point Woo Hoo. I' have had queasy spells but nothing to bad. I feel it's probably a small blessing at this point. I hope everyone is having a good day.

Moorebaby: My HCGs were 1576 to 3594 after four days which is closer to 50%. The next four days I went from 3594 to 8319. I think I am closer to a three day doubler than a two day doubler! :D At the end of the day, everybody's numbers are different. But it's hard not to get a complex if you're a slower runner  !!

Hi Everyone,

Wow, we are really increasing the pages here :)

Go - I heard about the wrist bands. A friend of mine used those and actually they worked wonders for her. She had really bad nausea.

AFM - I had my 2nd us yesterday and everything is well and right on track. I am still surprised that apparently doctors in Germany just do things differently. First, my IVF center did not want to do a further beta HcG test and now my OBGyn actually did not want to tell me the heartbeat. He said it is within normal range and told me to trust him instead of doing so much Internet research. I guess he has a point, I just worry so much.

Hi Ladies,
Wanted to keep you posted on my doctor's appointment today. I'm 8w2d and dh and I met at a different facility than usual. The u/s equipment they had was brand new and both babies looked great and were clear as day. We could even see them moving around on the screen, it was so cool! Doctor says everything looks great and she's going to keep me until week 11 or 12 before she releases me to an OB. That's fine with me, because these weekly u/s are keeping me sane right now :-).

mjay and Faith- No Chicago Olympics in 2016. I was surprised to see that we were the first city eliminated, I thought we'd at least be down to the final 2. With all the excitement on the news this morning before the votes, it seemed like it would be declared a national holiday!

I'm too tired to type more, so i'll catch up with you all later! Happy Friday!

JG - Great news on your u/s! I am sooooo going to miss the advanced u/s images from the clinic. My OB's machine is nothing like it - not that clear and they don't have 3D.

LuckyOne - I've heard about these bands. Do you know where I can get one? I don't have morning sickness all the time, but when I do - oh boy! I actually applaud your dr. for not giving you more info to go research (cause isn't that what we ALL do!) I now fancy myself as an internet dr. Give me any info and I'll research it to death to be sure the little one is okay and within normal range.

Wolffie - prayers are with you. Please let us know when you find out the babies are okay. I'm sure they just found a good hiding spot.

Fitz - Prayers are with you too. I've seen posts where babies with low heart rates turn around. I'm sure your baby will too!

Faith - So glad you +3 are doing great! Good for you for not doing reduction. I could never do it either.

AFM, just hanging tight until my next, and last, RE appt on the 14th. I have my first OB on the 19th. My heart is still so nervous, I just want to get to the end of the 1st trimester so badly. I can't wait until the 16 wk u/s- dying to find out if it's a boy or girl. We have a little boy now who will be a year in a few weeks (he was our miracle from our 3rd IVF). It doesn't really matter to us what the sex is, but I have a feeling it's a girl. Anyone else getting vibes on boy/girl?

thanks for the prayers and good thoughts- as sad that it is baby b may not make it- im ok with it- we went into this wanting 1 heathly baby 3 would be excieiting and 2 fun too, and 1 would be fantastic as well- what ever happens will be for the best in the end- and i'm ok w/ that-- have become more religious lately and going w/ my faith-
It could also be that ive been to 4 funerals in 4 months and have learned to celebrate life and be grateful for what i have- so if God decides to take baby b cause of whatever weakness baby b may have i will trust in that and be ok

Hi ladies,

Luckyone glad everything is going well, we werent told heartbeat either just that it was very good so i am happy with that.

Cheryl my mam got those wrist bands in a pharmacy they are originally intended for travel sickness but work for m/s. I have a feeling mines a boy but either way dont care just cant wait!!! It will be great when we get over the 1st trimester.

JG you are spoilt with those scans, it must have been amazing seeing them turn into little babies not just a look alike bean

fitzjr You are inspiring over the way you are dealing with baby b, i still wont rule out a miracle for you xxx

Hi to all i have missed hope no news is good news, i have nothing to report either running out of foods to eat as turning off everything but hey it just means j needs to be more creative in the kitchen  and if i never see a crisp again it will be too soon!!

gi xx

Does anyone have any thoughts on getting the H1N1 vaccine? I keep seeing that pg women are the first to get it, but it makes me nervous.

Deftones--so exciting you got to hear the heartbeat! I have been thinking about calling my OB to set up my first appointment but my office will not release me until I am 8 weeks. I may just do it anyway.

gi--I am 7w2d and have put on a tiny bit of weight. It does not seem tight to me at all yet. I think I am going to start exercising again. I had stopped after the transfer and then got used to not doing it. It will be great when I have an official baby bump!

Faith--great news about you appt! No morning sickness with that many babies is a miracle--maybe all boys!

Fitzjr--so sorry about the twin--still may turnaround though. Just stay positive.

LuckyOne--your doc would drive me crazy! We probably do do too much research though.

JG--Congrats on your ultrasound--sound like everything is going well.

Cheryl--I have my last RE appt on the 14th also! I hope both of our babies show good growth! I know what you mean about the 1st trimester, it seems to be going at a snails pace. I also have a little boy who is 17 months now. Yours is just turning 1! OMG the next 7 months (and probably more) are sooo fun! I am having a queazy tummy this pregnancy, which I didn't last time, so I am thinking maybe a girl...

AFM--just waiting for the next u/s. I have been eating weird. Not as much quantity as normal, which I do not understand. And today for lunch I had a giant frozen burrito from Walmart--haven't had one of those since high school!
