Claudia you are such a sweetheart!! I'm thrilled for you and hope we can keep in touch. You are a wonderful cheerleader!

Moore, congrats on your anniversary and starting again... We got married in Florida last year. Do you have dates for your eter? Estimated time of egg retrieval? Lol

I think my betas on the 2nd but I'll have tested by then. I am blogging everything.

sonya- thank you! we're going down to plam beach shores. my eter is somewhere in the middle of august. af is due july 4th if it comes in 28 days like it normally does, which would mean af after that would come on august 1st. however, my last af took 31 days to come, which is not really normal for me. also, during my last menstrual cycle i had a lot of brown spotting (more like discharge of old-looking blood) 10 days after the 1st day of af...this was for about 3 days. it was weird b/c it has NEVER happened in my entire 18 years of having af! i hope that doesn't mean anything, lol! i'm wondering if i should mention it to re. maybe if it happens again before i'm due to cycle i'll say something. so if i start getting af more than 28 days apart, then i won't get af on august 1st, which will push my er & et to a later date in august than originally estimated to be. dh will also be having a tesa done the day before my er. poor thing!

Hi All,
So sorry to hear about some of your disappointments. Glad to hear things are encouraging for others. I go in for my blood work and ultrasound on Wed. If all is well I start my injections on Thu night. Finally!!! I'm very nervous but excited things are finally moving along. My husband is concerned about giving me the shots but I'm pretty sure I can't do it to myself. Did anyone else have problems giving themselves shots? Hopefully I won't grow fangs form all the added hormones. Did anyone have any crazy side effects other than the obvious pain at the injection sites? I hope at my old age all my eggs aren't rotten. We're having PGD to insure the viability of the embryos. Hope you all have great successes!!!!
Love,
Chili :D

Tested early this morning with FMU (no lectures - I'm a bit of an addict and know a LOT more than I should about testing! LOL).

Walked away and the test dried - but there was a line. Faint, but my 66 year old MIL could see it. FRER's rarely if ever leave a line without hcg being present. Unless the line is clear or transparent, it's always progressed into a clear positive within days. I've never seen an error on one if there is color...

I tested again this evening because I am a horrible FMU tester (I go several times during the night), and there was a line within ten minutes.

I am only 4dp5dt - 9dpo - I didn't expect to see anything at all from a FET this early? I had a blighted ovum last time around, a nine week mc two years ago, and about four chemicals between it all. However, this is the first time I've felt really calm. Either I am stronger, or this might be a sticky bean....

hi everyone!!
i'm home!! man vacation was great! i didnt want to come home. our friends threw me an amazing birthday party (aka their wedding) at the st. regis in atlanta. this place was awesome. one day we went down to eat lunch at the hotel, and ended up sitting right next to whoopi goldberg!! i am such a celebrity stalker that i almost got us kicked out of the hotel by her body guards hahaha
nobody else in the wedding seemed to care about it, and i didnt know why until we went to the rehearsal dinner and realized that 2 of the bridesmaids were on tv shows! who needs whoopi when your wedding party is TMZ worthy! haha boy did dh and i not belong there at all. luckily we rented a prius so we werent embarrassed driving up to the hotel with all the bmw's, mercedes, and ferrari's. we just pretended like we could afford those cars, but we cared about the environment haha
anyway it was a nice break from reality, but now i'm back and ready to go!
i took my last BCP yesterday!!! wooohoooo and i go for my first SnS on friday!!!

lou hi hun!!! i'm soooo glad to see you decided to join us! boy do i miss you! how are you? i know its hard to even think about the next cycle let alone join a cycle group, but i am here for you when ever you need me ok?? ((((((((((so much love)))))))

sonya i remember you from back in jan. and my heart broke for you. i'm so glad to see you are ready to try again, and that you are already getting BFP's on your HPT's!!!! wooohooooo lets get this thread off to a great start! do you get betas in canada? i cant remember. here's hoping those lines keep coming and getting darker! :D

i will do more personals in a little bit....i have a lot of catching up to do still!

***much love always***

Fanny so happy you had a great time - happy Belated Birthday! Man it sounds like you were rubbing elbows with the stars - I'm jealous!!!

I think that my months between ivf and the fet were the best for me to heal and relax and live life a bit without all the worry and wonder.

Hope all goes well for your first sns - I can't remember are you doing a fet or fresh?

Claudia; it's great to have a couple preggos on the thread, reminds me at least that it DOES happen... :) Yeah yeah I'm a total junkie, but honestly, the testing keeps me sane. If it's bfn I can prepare myself and keep my mind occupied, and if it's a bfp I don't have to wait on pins and needles. How are you feeling?

sonya- congrats....i say it's a BFP...woohoo!!!

franny- welcome back! sounds like you had a spectacular time! how cool that you were around some celebrities! yay for friday!

chili- i hope it's a go for you on thursday! i understand your dh's worry about the injections, but he'll be a pro before he knows it & so will you, lol! what meds will you be taking? out of all the injections, i would say the pio (progesterone in oil) is the worst out of all of them. it's actually not that bad if you don't mind a sore butt & hips, lol! i had some moodiness & bloating, but anything for a beautiful & healthy baby, right?

Hi Ladies!

I haven't been able to post because my best friend came to visit for the weekend. I started AF on Thursday last week.(Thanks Moore for the AF dance....must have worked) I went to my RE on Friday and started my meds on Friday night. I go in tomorrow for an ultrasound and follicle check. I am hoping that there are a dozen of them in there growing like crazy! I have been labeled a poor responder...so I'm hoping for as many as possible. Last time at ER, there was only 3 so anything more would be great. My expected ER will be around July 4 if all goes well. My RE always kids me because I am always going to ER or ET on holidays or Sundays. I am the holiday girl!

I am praying and keeping fingers crossed for all of us! :)

Lots of baby dust to all! :D

Wow wee girls seems this thread had a busy little weekend. Jeez, a girl gets the stomach bug for a couple days and doesn't check in and that's when all the action happens! Ok let's see how much I remember.

Lauren- I know its they're protocal to get you on the BCP to make sure you're nice and surpressed before waking the ovaries up, but maybe it is a conspiracy to keep us from getting prego on our own. Either way I figured I dont want to mess up my chance of having a successful cycle so I'm popping the evil little red pills everyday like a good girl.

DandMe- Congrats girl I see the line too! I love that you are giving a progression of that line getting darker. When is your blood test? I cant wait to see how big it is since you are only 9dpo and already have a line on an HPT, I bet the beta will be huge maybe twins.

Moore- Have fun in Florida for your anniversary. Our ER last cycle fell on our anniversary so we really didnt get to celebrate much. We said we would make it up for my birthday but it looks like our ET will probably fall on my birthday this cycle. So I guess I must request that you have an extra good time for me.

Chili- Try not to worry too much about the DH giving you shots. Most of the needles are so small you really cant feel them too much anyway. I know there are some instructional videos on Youtube for the PIO shots that you guys can watch. Also your RE's nurse should go over the correct way to give the other shots. As for moodiness I thought I was pretty good through the whole thing but my DH doesnt agree. Humph! Next time I'm making him take some sympathy shots so he understands why!

Franny- You got to see Whoopi Goldberg how awsome is that! I would have probably asked for an autograph and pictures. I dont think I've ever gotten to meet or see a celebrity in real life so I'm sure I would have been overkill to the poor lady. It sounds like you had a very wonderful and ritzy birthday so I am happy for you. Also yay for being done with the BCP. :D So what's the next step for you after the SnS? What meds/protocal will you be doing?

Karin- Yay for starting stims and I am doing a grow LOTS of follies dance for you. July 4th is coming up fast so make sure to let us know how things are looking tomorrow after your SnS. Who knows maybe you will have an "explosion" of eggs to collect.

ok I'm sure I must have forgotten some of you ladies and I'm sorry if I did. My thoughts are always with all of my sisters on this site. Keep up the PMA and lots of baby dust to everyone.

Miyaya- Sorry knew I had missed something. Yes once you "open" the Lupron it has to stay in the fridge. I would just keep it in a double bagged ziplock in the ice chest and you should be fine. Have fun camping!

Fitzjr11- Glad to hear you will be starting your Lupron soon this week. What stims will you be on? What's your estimate for ER? Good luck!

Franny- I am so glad that you had a great weekend hanging out with celebs! I am so jealous! I saw on The View that Whoopi was doing a movie in ATL with Tyler Perry. How lucky are you that you got to see her? So it looks like you're going to be starting soon! Yay!

Sonya- Looks like a BFP to me! (Although I have never seen one for myself) I am so excited for you! When is your beta? Keep us posted. I completely understand your need to POAS. You are so brave. I'm always too scared and try to wait until 2 days before the beta.

Teresa- You keep on doing the grow follies dance! I need all the help I can get!

Hi All,
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

MOORE and HOPE- Thanks so much for the comforting advice. It's reassuring to hear from those that have been through this that it's not as difficult as it seems. The Dr gave me a dvd with detailed instructions. I'm sure we can handle it. My DH can't believe what I'm willing to put myself through for this. The baby or 2 will be well worth it in the end.

MOORE- I'll be on Folistim 600iu, Ganirelix and Ovidrel which seems to be my Dr's cocktail of choice to get my old eggs moving. They are changing my Progesterone from the inserts to the injections. Not sure what that is called. I'd rather get 1 shot a day than do 3 inserts a day. I heard those are messy. Thanks again for the advice.

Much love and tons of baby dust to all!!!

Hi All,

Heard from my cousin who went through IVF last year and had healthy twins, Boy & Girl in March. She said she found Pregnancy tests at the dollar store. If things go well I'll be stocking up! :)

Franny- Had to be cool to meet Whoopi. She looks like she could be fun to be around.

Lots of baby dust to all!!!

Chili :)
