Hey yall! I dont get online much but wanted to let everyone know what is going on. I had my ER Wed Dec 15th. They got 23 eggs and 16 fertilized. My day 3 report yesterday he said that 9 were 8-10 cell grade A embryos and 7 were 6-8 cell grade B?? but he said they all looked good and strong. We go back tomorrow for the blastocyst transfer at noon. We will put 2 in and freeze the others. Wish us luck. This is our first try and were very nervous. Any tips for after the transfer please???? can i sleep on my tummy? should i lay on the couch and not move for two weeks? lol ...yall are gonna laugh but im scared to go pee im afraid they will fall out!!!!!!!! LOL im so nervous!!! Beta should be Dec 29th

AFM: Cycle day 6, started BC on day 2...Will be calling my RE back on Wednesday to get DH sperm analysis test results back to see if we might be a good candidate for an IUI, to make a decision if we should try one more IUI OR another IVF? Also will need to get a full schedule to find out when I should stop BC. She wanted to go ahead and start BC so they can have control of cycle. Maybe this will help ensure my estrogen level is where it needs to be. I remember one downfall we went through on "transfer day" with IVF #1 was my estrogen level was way too low. I think each time we try, we have a higher success rate because they find things out they can ensure will be done differently the next time around.

Sunshine-it looks like we're right together, I'm on CD7. I'm not sure how your cycle works for IUI. Will you be doing injections? So you're looking at transfer around late January/early February timeframe?

Kynlee- what about you?

I started my 2nd pack of BCPs last Wednesday on CD3. I'm supposed to get my protocol in the mail sometime before next week before the office opens back up. So I guess I'll start my injections pretty much after that. I'm really looking forward to getting more information from the dr office.

Just-so-lost, I'm not sure when cycling exactly will start...The way she talked I would be on 2 packs of birth control before we really get started. She mentioned I would stop BC around January 11th for a bleed and then start again around January 16th. I'm not good at understanding IVF time-lines, everything has to be written down. but still my cycles have been irregular since October, so you know I will be calling her once I do start!


Wondering if Birth Control can regulate a cycle? I've heard you normally start BC on day2 but some start around day4. I know I'm over-analyzing this, but besides that it doesn't make much sense why she has me BC for 21 days. So I have stupid questions to find out this week! Cycle did began on 12/21 and she has me on BC till Jan 11th. So I thinking maybe she is trying to regulate the cycle? I feel like sometimes we are loosing freakin' control of our own cycle with all the meds. I know that's the whole point, but I think we need to know what's going on at the same time. lol

She mentioned IUI would cost around $2500 so there must be meds involved, most likely the brutial injections but we know it would be less intense. If we decide to go this route, will be finding out what meds/injections they will have me on this week. I have a friend who used follistim with IUI, but it took 4 attempts. Anyway, dh lab results on wednesday will determine alot for us..It will be here before we know it! All we can do is keep up the persistance and that PMA!

First of all congrats on surviving the 2ww so far! It about killed me, but we never tested early since they told us we might get "false" results.

Looks like Wednesday is going to be THE BIG day...I will be praying for you! Keep us posted as well:D

Sunshine/Justsolost- I am waiting on A/F in Jan to start meds... Once I get A/f I start Lupron 21 days later which will land me in Feb with a ER end of Feb Early March... I just got over A/F so I am guessing I will have her Jan 21st or so... I dont go on BC pills so I will be just starting injections... Will get through this journey together

Ginger- have you poas??? I am praying for you I know everything will work out

Justsolost- will be here helping you through your 1st phase of shots Dont be nervous there not that bad I promise... Just pinch the skin when you poke yourself then you dont feel a thing

Kynlee- Confused to why you are not going on BC before the injections begin. I dreaded getting back on them myself and questioned my doctor if it was really necessary last week. All she would tell me is BC helps for us to have better control over the IVF cycle. Anyway DH picked them up at CVS last Wednesday and I was floored that he paid $50 for birth control when we spent $30 last August using my insurance. So you would think everything would still be on file, right? Anyway I kept the receipt and I think I'm going to stop by CVS and pitch a fit. Anyway, I hope you continue to feel better getting over that cold.

Sunshine- My Dr was originally going to put me on BC the last cycle but when they monitored me A/F is a regular at 28 days so she said it wasnt necessary... Im not sure to why, but I figured since she was the Dr she new best....I know they are going to start me at a lower dose of meds though since I got OHSS the 1st time... I have to call on my meds this week so I can get my calendar for Jan
