This is such a great site. The support everyone gives each other is a blessing.

I'm testing on 9 jun after my 1st IVF. This 2ww wait has been nerve
wrecking and you guys have been so supportive. It's really helps.

AF-like symptoms have been further getting me down... from the slight 'leaking' and mild cramps to the tender breasts. I go to the bathroom to check almost hourly!! I've read that you might feel as though you are getting your AF if it's +ve but then you feel the same thing if it's -ve so.. arrggh!

I just have to keep praying.

Good luck to everyone testing.

Welcome Quasi and Chitra. Quasi, don't worry, the regular knicker-checking is absolutely par for the course - I have to really force myself not to go to the bathroom more than once an hour!! Also, I'm sure if someone did an analysis of all the different symptoms people had reported in the 2ww (or complete lack of symptoms) and the results there would be no relationship between the two! It really drives you mad!

I wondered whether anyone had heard from Alison Drake - Alison, I hope you're doing OK.

Bron, good to see you posting, but sorry to hear you sounding so despondent. I hope you're managing the weekend ok. It sounds like I'm a bit like you - after -ves I've always thrown myself into work and the week has been ok, but then you get some time to think and wonder where the hell life is going. You'll get through it and decide to have another course of treatment, or not. Don't worry that you don't know what you want to do now - things will become clearer over time. Take care of yourself in the meantime.

Lots of love to all the June testers.

Alison, I'm here!

I did cheat and test early because from about day 13 of ET, I was still getting AF pains every day but also I started feeling slightly woozy and extremely tired after getting home from work.

I still have the pains in my abdomen and a slight back ache so I too was convinced AF was on it's way. Plus, I didn't feel sick or have massive boobs all of a sudden so like all the others girls have said, you really can not tell!

I am routing for you girls and will keep on checking your progress!

Many thanks for your support

OK, I've just done a very, very bad thing, and its Elena's fault and Alison's fault for doing early testing, plus DH's fault for going out and leaving me at a loose end! Yes, bugger, I've done an HPT. I thought it was negative, but in the light I think (really I'm not 100% sure, and it looks like nothing away from the window) that there is a very, very faint line. F**k (scuse me!), so now I really don't know, cos even if the line is there, then it could be cos of the HCG shot last week.

Let this be a(nother) lesson - early testing is evil! Oh God, and DH will know something's up when he gets home and think that AF has arrived, and then I'll have to tell him and he'll be cross!

Congratulations Alisondrake!!! When did you first see a positive? How many days past a how many day transfer? (Sorry, I know I'm nuts!) I am so very happy for you and dh!!!

Alison, you too are very naughty. I tried to stop you on another thread...but, I have been searching all over the net since my neg hpt's and I am sure that your hcg trigger is out of your system by now (most say that it's really only a few days before it's gone). So, if you saw a faint line, chances are it's true. I know you won't believe it until tomorrow, which is another reason why these hpt's are bad news. But things are certainly looking good for you. (I did another hpt today and still neg.) Oh well, in a way I'm glad I know before the dreaded bad news at work tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone else, and keep adding smileys!!

Hi again, sorry about the swearing etc. before - I got myself into something of a state  Those HPTs don't look like they do in the diagram for PG - no big thick line like the one in the "has this test worked" box. But, there is definitely a line, all be it quite thin and faint. :)

DH didn't kill me (as you might have gathered, from the fact that I'm still writing  ) but was quite cross, and then got very upset at the thought I might be raising our hopes to have them dashed again, so we're not talking about it and trying to just wait until tomorrow! Thanks for all the good wishes but please don't tempt fate by adding me to the +ves just yet!

Elena, thanks for looking on the net about the trigger injection. The thing is, I was supposed to take a small extra dose of it last Tuesday but I forgot (doh!) so they told me to take it on Thursday instead, which is only 3 days ago. I guess I'll only know more when I speak to the clinic tomorrow and find out the levels. Really sorry that your HPT was negative again and hoping you get a great unexpected surprise tomorrow.

Love to all

Alison.
I did the same thing and had a faint line and told DH and he wouldn't talk about it until we had results back from the Clinic as they did a blood test.
Once we got the BFP from them he was calling all his friends and family.
Hang in there I even went and brought the test with me to a friend who has been preggo 2 times already and she confirmed that I wasn't crazy and she saw the line also. Oh and the cramping does not go away it is your uterus stretching you will feel it ALOT so don't fret.

To the BFP's for this month a huge CONGRATS. Can't wait to see you on the first tri buddies thread.
LiL P I am so happy things are moving along for you.
To all the June testers .... Lots of BABY STICKY DUST to you and TONS of PMA.
Love

Congratulations alison!! what a relief it must have been to get the 2nd test positive... very happy for u. i can completely relate to wanting to do the test early... the AF symptoms just seem too familiar and painful.

Chitra, i don't think i'm handling things too well. I'm just a jittery mess (the AF symtoms don't help) SO much hope has been put into this IVF and it's kinda consuming me at the moment.

Anyway, three more days to go!! I just pray and hope that AF doen't come before then.

I posted on another thread that my dh wanted me to wait 4 more days to test ... until he gets back from a business trip. Imagine waiting an extra 4 days to test!! lol...

How do the rest of you keep yourselves sane while waiting?

keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed for all of us...

Hi there girls,

Reporting in for Donna - sadly her second blood test today was a BFN and just when we were becoming a little sure that she was pg. We know that symptoms can be the same, but when it actually happens it is soooooo disappointing. :(

This was her first IVF attempt deu to her dh very low sperm count. They have one frozen embie, but I guess they have to recover from this first and then decide what to do.

Good luck to the rest of the June testers.

Thank you all for your support - I will keep checking your posts.
