Mary had a little lamb,
it's fleece was made of wool,
1000 volts went up it's arse and turned the wool to nylon xxx

Nicki, I've no idea what the missing line is.
It has to be something about standing too near a pylon, as it rhymes. I still reckon your way is best though.
I saw this today on the back of a car. It made me chuckle.

Nicki, looks like we're on at the same time. I am work avoiding. I'm supposed to be sorting out my students for this week and can't be bothered. I have a stinky cold and feel like curling up in front of the fire with a hot toddy.
Ive just gotten over my cold..... Just got home from Xmas shopping, been to Norwich... It was busy!! But at least it's done now, and still have 3 weeks to spare xx

Good for you. I bet it must have been mad in the shops today. The furthest I've been is to the farm shops for the weekly groceries. Then to Mum and Dad's- always a thrill a minute there. I've just found the Advent Calender tread. Think I'll have play with some smilies.
Bah Humbug!!!! I love Christmas but hate shopping with the crowds. The good thing about Glasgow is that one shopping center is open until midnight ...i have only 5 pressies to get ( and to fill up a santa stocking for DF...big kid) so i am heading there on thursday night...when it quiet.
My work mate did all her's on line!!! Thats even better then midnight shopping! xx

I must admit I did most of mine at the end of October, as I was hoping to have had treatment this month and I didn't want another stress. The best laid plans, hey? December is such a busy time anyway. It all comes at once and yet we have a year to prepare for it. Now I don't think I have enough for people and am buying extras, as I love giving presents. DH is going mad and dragging me out of shops. He's hopless and in all the time I've known him has never bought a present for anyone but me. Not even his kids. He doesn't know what he's missing.
Indeed. I have a few choir things on, but quite a few on my own. I have a biggy next Monday which I'm looking forward too, but am really apprehensive. I've had to have my frock altered as I wasn't well last year and lost a load of weight- just after having bought this gorgeous glitzy creation. Apparently 2500 tickets have been sold, so I think it shall be my biggest yet. Not only that, but when I asked for an approximate date for ER at the scan thay said December 12th- the day of the concert, so I had to cancel everything!
It can be really good sometimes though. Last week we were singing at the Duke of Wetminster's gaff. Very, very posh indeed. It makes you see how the other half live. On the other hand, I sometimes do concerts for a charity called Music In Hospitals, which can be a very sobering experience indeed. It makes you realise, even with everything, how lucky we really are.
