Yeah Mel--
AHHH!! Sigh of relief Mel is back and with a cancer free butt!! I'm so happy for you. What a relief. And I think the decision you and DH made sounds good for you. Doesn't it feel good to have a plan? You can just try to not think about it for a while. I felt better when we had a plan, then of course at the last minute I decided to push it up one month and I'm glad I followed my instinct. Oh, and that comment about quads...I can't hear you, I can't hear you, la, la, la...

Fee- I forgot to say earlier that I'm sorry you might have peed on yourself! I know it must have been scary to think it was your water. Maybe you didn't pee though. Maybe it was something else...I don't know what, but I'm trying to be positive!

Vicky I'm definately keeping everything crossed that we get 7 eggs for you!! When is your ER? And happy birthday to Sanson!! They grow up so fast...

OK guys I am a little upset that it sounds like a dildocam appt. tomorrow! I had it in my head that I was done with those. But if it gives me a better picture what the heck.
Jenn

Jenn: gl on the (unfortunately)dildocam us tomorrow. btw... jealous you are going to John Mayer!!!!

Mel: glad to hear your butt is cancer-free. D*mn good news! Glad also to hear you and dh have a plan you are happy about. In the end, that is what really matters.

Fee: hmmm. Glad to hear your scare was nothing serious. As for nordic food. Well, there hasn't been much to say. lots of cod and lamb. Our best meal of the entire trip was tonight. Lamb with a bearnaise sauce that was creamy and flavorful... fantastic!!! Sharon (our friend we are traveling with), had the panfried cod with shrimp and the whole thing was smothered in cheese. Right on! Otherwise the food here has been pretty middle-of-the-road. Nothing to write the sistas about. You will be happy to hear, though, that they do have fab pastries and gummy candies. We have been stocking up with junk food in the car.

Meg: oooooo, round ligament pain. I heard that is very painful! I hope you are taking it easy. No more moving for you!!! Glad to hear the little one is moving around and doing well.

Vicky: congrats on your 7 follies-that-can!

Angie: how are you?

How are the rest of the sisters???

I am hoping for a nice sleep (although my bright red sunburn I got today might make that a bit tough...) tonight, then we are flying home tomorrow. ahhhhh. It was nice while it lasted!!!

Ciao ladies!

Hello Sistas - just a quickie from me. Vicky - please don't worry about the numbers - it really is quality not quantity - over 20 eggs my first time didn't help me ! You will be fine - I know it and say happy birthday to Sanson for me.

Mel - what kind of puppy are you looking at? All over the weekend I kept bumping into King Charles Cavalier spaniels - that is my dog I have decided (when we get it!) I have already decided he has to be a boy and I am going to call him Albert. DH approves although he thinks I am mad as I keep talking about Albert even though he doesn't exist - my imaginery dog!

Hi Fee, Jenn, Meggo, Sassy - have a safe trip home Sassy.

Well I am still Zen like. I have 87mm lining - Dr D is very pleased and the nurse also said it was "nice and lush". FET on Friday - start the lovely pessaries tomorrow. We settle on the house tomorrow . Everything is good. Hope I stay this Zen like. :D

Hellooo (yes it's the possibly incontinent one here...although I am denying that is the case)

Yay Mel, no bum cancer. You must be so relieved. I can't imagine waiting so long for the results. I would be climibing the walls. congrats!! And it sounds like a 6 month break is a good idea for you and DH. This IF stuff becomes far to consuming so enjoy the break...but don't leave us!

Now Jenn I am 100% sure you have not seen the last of the beloved dildo...that's what I had at my seven week scan. From 12 weeks onwards I had the stomach one though - which I was pleased about. In fact it has been almost three months since I was required to saddle up in the stirrups...no-one is interested in my nether regions at the moment which is a great relief, something for you to look forward to. Good luck with your scan tomorrow, am holding thumbs for an excellent result!!!

Mego, I think we are neck and neck for the nutter of the year awards. I totally understand the whole freaking out with the round ligament pains. I have, after all rushed off to the dr with round ligament pains one weekend....They are just so wierd, I find that they are different every time so am never sure what they are...as far as movements go, I am only getting them sporadically at the moment and can go a day at a time without feeling anything, needless to say that sends me into a tailspin...I can't believe I am only half way through this, I think I will also be mental by the end....

Geez Vicky, you put on quite a show for Sanson, made me feel guilty for not celebrating my Sidney's birthday in more style....I'm sure Sanson was a very happy boy. I also have everything crossed for a great ER. I think you will get a solid 9 eggs out of it.

Sass I checked out your travel blog this morning. Iceland looks fantastic and so different! I wish Oz was a bit closer to everything, it's such a drama to go anywhere! DH and I may take MIL to Europe if she is up to a trip so that is something to possibly look forward to. We'd probably spend most time in Spain, Belgium and Paris as that is where family is...As far as the nordic food goes, yes, I had my doubts about it...although that last dinner sounded OK (not a big fan of cod though..)

Angie congrats on maintaining the zen. This sounds like it has been a pretty good cycle for you all round. 87mm is excellent and on top of that "Lush!" you are sounding exceedingly fertile at the moment. I'm excited for you in a calm and zen way. BTW have you decided how many wombats will be deposited into the lush kingdom???

Hellooo to the other sisters. Had better get going, have been googling chemotherapy all morning and need to do some work...

Fee

Well girls much to our surprise it is only one beanie in there for now! We are thrilled, but DH was a little disappointed. He was looking forward to getting one baby ahead of all his friends who have only one! I am glad because twins would have been great but that would give me three kids including DH, and I might lose my sanity! Everything looks good they will call this afternoon and tell me all about my blood and when to come in next.

Sassy- sorry the vacation must end. Have a safe trip home, glad you had fun. Come to Texas and you can go to the concert with us!! It will be outside, hot but a nice pavillion. We love John Mayer and can't wait!

Angie- Friday is the big day!! Lining sounds great, glad to see it was 8.7 not 87! WOW that would have been one thick uterus! Congrats on your house!!

Well off to nap,we went to IHOP and I am stuffed and tired from all that greasy food. I really need to start eating better!

I am getting my highlights and hair cut tomorrow afternoon! I am so excited about these head shots!

I am just not sure what color to have all of the girls wear... my competition wore black for their's... I want to be funner, but professionaler...

Suggestions? My website as a green theme... but not everyone looks good in green, and white can make you look pasty...

Mel you crack me up!

I don't know what to tell you about colors to wear. I can't match worth a poop! Half the time I would go to work and my friend would say " you know that doesn't match right?" So I stick with black on the bottom b/c I figure everything goes with it!

Hooray - the tenants have moved out of our house and we should settle the property in 10 minutes time. They made a remarkably good job of cleaning it too - so it is looking reasonably presentable as far as an old 1930's house with green lino in the kitchen can!

Now I have a question for our advanced preggo sisters - see, you will always have am important role on the blue stiletto thread even though you probably can't wear said shoes any more (hee hee - sorry!)

As you know I am planning my work trip to US/Canada come rain or shine (come BFN or BFP). I've had an email from someone in US with suggested dates to visit in September. So my question to the advanced preggo sisters, Meggo and Fee is how does the whole weeks thing work? When do you count from - transfer or the BFP result day. And also how many scans do you have to have during the 1st trimester and when?

I am going into this with a positive zen attitude. Took the first pessaries this AM - need 4 a day - it's going to be gross when they start to build up. Also getting minor cramping already - can someone remind me of this on the 2ww, when I start to think it is all over. Can't be over now, as embies aren't even in there yet!! 2 little wombats going in Fee, by the way. I forgot to ask, did you ever find out about the incontinence (or not) issue - what was it?

Peace and zen to all ! Can't wait to see the photos Mel.

Hey Angie

There is a pregnancy calculator down the side of the pages of this site under Resources, that is what I used to calculate weeks....I think that the preg date is calculated from the day of transfer but it also depends on whether your embies are three day or five day....so basically on the calculator you check off what the age of your embies is (I think yours would be cleaved embryos.) Then you key in the date of transfer and voila! Your estimated date of delivery and how advanced your pregnancy is...

As far as first trimester scans go, I only had one at around 7 weeks. I was not allowed to travel before that one because they wanted to make sure that the pregnancy was not ectopic. I think I may have had one more blood test after that one. Then you have your 12 week nuchal translucency screen (optional) but at around the same time you should be getting into see an obstetrician who should do an ultrasound as well....

Bear in mind that you wuold also probably have weekly blood tests for most of the first trimester to ensure that your levels are rising and that you have enough progesterone...

I then have had appointments five weeks apart with ultrasounds at each one. Then the 20 week specialised one to check fetal anatomy....

Excellent news on your house being in good order, so nice. I remember the first flat i bought I found some mouldy grilled cheese on toast in the oven....yay...

As far as incontinence goes, have not worked out what that was, the other option was a build up of "discharge" which was trapped behind the sac and then released. I prefer that option....

Well done on your zen attitude, it must make such a difference, and congrats on the two wombats going in on Friday....

I have to rush off now, am trying to resolve a matter so I don't have to go to court on Friday...

Fee

I will try to pop in later to do more personals...
