Kirsty,

Welcome to a wonderful support system. So sorry about your BFN. I'm testing this week on the 20th and 22nd and started having minimal cramping today. I'm so nervous it means AF is coming. She was last here on 11/17 so I'm guessing if she's going to appear it would be about now. Keeping my fingers crossed she doesn't...This week is torturous!

Hope all you wonderful ladies are doing well.

Baby Blue- Hey there

I went once right before the transfer, ad then right after the transfer.
I usually try to go atleast once a month. I respond pretty weel to Accupuncture and when I first strated I went once a week for a month then 1 every two weeks etc.
now I can kinda gage when I need to have a treatment, but I knew I wanted to go before and after ET because of the amazing results with IVF success and Accu.....

geesh aren't you glad you asked hehehe!

Hello ladies I just wanted to update you all quickly before I go pick up Abby from school. I called my clinic, and they gave me 5 different numbers to pharmacies to call. I called em all and they said the same thing. The insurance WILL NOT cover any meds due them being self injected. So, I cried for about 2 hours before calling my clinic back, they suggested that I call my insurance and see if they would just give the meds to me; I thought they flipped their lids, an insurance company just give you something! HAHAHAHAHAHA Well, I called and they said my clinic has to write a letter of medical needs. I called the clinic back and they oh yeah we do those more then you would think. So I should be hearing something in the 48-72 hours.
I am so grateful to you all for your offers and I am sure that if this falls through I will be taking you up on them.

Welcome to our two new families, you will love it here.

I have to be running now, but again thank you so much. PMA and sticky baby dust to you all!

TC - another thought is if the insurance won't pay for them if you inject yourself, see if nurse at local clinic or hometown Dr. office will do the injections. A bit troublesome, but if that is what it takes for the insurance to cover, then so be it. Good luck on the latest try of giving them to you. See, things find a way of working themselves out.

I totally heart Cheetos, too! Have you discovered the baked kind, yet? They taste the same to me, but you don't feel quite as guilty after words because they are a lot less fattening!

Hmmm, I think I'm going to have to go get some now. Great, thanks a lot!

What if when you had a question the first person you called actually knew what they were talking about? ......................I HATE STUPID CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I had to get that all out. My nurse called while I was away; so I called her back (she sounded excited on my machine!) and she told me that she called the number I provided and they told her that they don't accept Medical letters for IVF. She also told me that I could go to my local pharmacy for the meds but that particular pharmacy puts a huge mark-up on them. So tomorrow I will be calling to see how big this mark-up is. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, I should have stuck with my "insurance is evil" theory. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Sonya, Cheetos are a huge staple food in my household. God bless whom ever invented that food!!!!!!!! Glad to hear you are resting though. Oh and don't worry about eating to many Cheetos, it seems that most babies make us crave the bad!!!!!!!!! For me it was jalapeno cheese dip!

Mom, I hope your interview went wonderful!

Have a great night my dears!

Hi Ladies,

Sophie (Sophia flamenca)
Thanks for posting the acupuncture question. It's a question I've been meaning to ask about. Now after the stats you posted I've got to do more research. I can't see passing up on anything that will improve my chances. Sorry about the AF delay. I totally feel you on how heart broken it is to experience a delay in this process. In your heart 7 days feels like 7 months, and everyone around you looks at you like you're crazy because you're heart broken over the delay. Hang in there :) .

Kirsty (mcmillac)
Welcome to the group. You'll love it here. Sorry to hear about your BFN. I hope everything works out in the new year.

TC
Sorry you are on the insurance roller coaster. I hope everything works out. It seems as if there may be enough meds floating around in this group to get you through. Hang in there... it will work out.

I have a question for the group. Has anyone experienced any side effects from BCPs? I've been on them for only a week and I've been in a blah type of mood :( for about 4 days now. I told DH not sure what's going to happen when I start Lupron on Thursday. As I understand it, that is the one that is suppose to make you have mood swings. Just wondering its the BCPs or just me.

bcp's

Post by Ange »

Hi Shawn,

I did not have any side effects from BCP's or Lupron. I was actually very lucky, I had no side effects except bloating from any of the meds and I apparently was on a very aggressive protocol. What I did have a reaction to was Chlomid. I don't think I'd take that again if my life depended on it. I had only one mood swing and it was BAD! I think the first week of BCP's are the strongest so maybe your side effects will subside next week.

Feel better!

Shawn---I hated being on BC. For me, it was the worst part of the whole process. I was bloated, irritable and gained 5 lbs. Plus, I bled (sorry if TMI) the whole 21 days I was on it. That's why I decided for this cycle (I'm doing FET) I'm not going to take the bc, I hated it so much that I'm wondering if that's why I had the bfn. I don't think my body recovered from it by et. That's my theory anyway! Hope it's not so bad for you!
