Lauren319 -- I'm really sorry hun. I know how hard it is to get that news. It really sucks. Thinking of you.

Ryann -- Did you hear anything? I hope you get the green light to get started.

Ryann- Oh I hope you get the green light and that thing on your left ovary is nothing. Dont worry about not finding out in the morning. My clinic always waits for my bw to come back and then calls me in the afternoon to let me know I can start and at what dosages. Last time they had me start with 150 of follistim but my estrogen went up to high so they kept lowering and raising it. This time they plan to start me at 100iu and hopefully I can stay on a nice steady dose.

Lauren- I am so sorry that you are angry and frustrated but I totally understand. It will take time for you to heal and to decide if you want to try again. I'm sending hugs to you!

Ester- How are you feeling any signs yet? Only a few more days to go! Do you have plans for the weekend to keep you busy?

Franny- Your protocal does sound very different from what I've read with other ladies. Hopefully it is exactly what you need and you can go rub your BFP in your old RE's face! :D

Ashley- I hope you have fun at your friends wedding tomorrow. Are you still having cramping? Hopefully your niece and nephew keep your mind off your last few days of the dreaded 2ww.

Tiger- How are things coming along with your IUI? Did you find out how many follies are growing? Anyword on the actual insemination dates yet?

AFM- I am excited for my baseline apt tomorrow. I got my AF on Monday so things seem to be right on track and hopefully I'll be able to start stims on Saturday. Do you guys think it would be ok to have a couple of drinks tomorrow night? My DH and I are going out for a nice dinner and I was thinking a couple of cocktails might be nice.

first shot down!! here we go!!
some bad news today...my DH got the results of his MRI yesterday, and his crohns specialist called today and said he has an intestinal fistula which means his small intestine is so inflamed from the disease that it grew a connection from one part of the intestine to another part which is pushing food through it causing major pain and fevers. they said he would most likely need major surgery to fix it! i feel sooo bad for him, and i'm really scared. great timing right at the start of our final cycle!

ryann so glad you got the green-light!! the needles dont even phase me anymore! good luck!!

teresa good luck with your baseline!! yay!! its about time right?? i think a few drinks tomorrow night will be just fine!! enjoy yourself before the stress sets in. :D

Ugh Franny, I'm so sorry. I know at least three people with Crohns and it's horrible. Poor guy. I've heard the worst part of the surgery is needing the colostomy bag for a stretch of time :( but it will make him feel better :) AND he'll have a baby soon.

Ryann- Yay for the "go ahead" enjoy your days as a pin cushion they go really fast!

Franny- I'm so sorry about your DH. :( My husband's cousin has Crohn's also and he has lost so much weight and was out of school almost all of last year. They are having a hard time getting it under control so I know how miserable your DH must be. I will pray that the surgery fixes everything and that he makes a speedy recovery!

Thanks everyone! So we made it through the first shot! DH kneeled on the floor and then I busted into a laughing fit...I tend to do that when I get anxious :) When I finally regained my composure we were able to do it and it was SO easy! I totally couldn't believe it...it literally felt like nothing! But then the stinging set in! All in all I would say it was a pretty successful night! When would you say I will start to feel the effects...like the full ovary feeling?

Hello, everyone-- Crashing here-- I wanted to share some good news... We were "discharged" from our RE today to go to the ob-gyn. I was a nervous, tearful wreck today before the scan but my 10 week scan showed a healthy squirmy little bub, and we've been holding our breath for the past 2 weeks. We got to listen to the heartbeat for the first time :D The IVF doc has been "holding my hand" 'cause of my history of m/c, but feels I can transition now.

Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers. I will be sending baby dust your way-- lots of baby dust! Best wishes to all-- it CAN happen!

SO, I have a big decision on my hands and DH has basically stated that it's up to me. We could do FET with one or two of our frozen embabies....OR we could do IVF w PGD all over again and use fresh embryos (assuming they get through the process and don't have fragile x) and save our frozen ones for later. THe obvious pros to this choice is that our frozen embryos will still be from a 30 yr old and not from future Lauren. Also, if we have enough frozen embryos saves, I could perhaps do this all over again for my sister at a later date (she's almost 40 and a carrier and my little niece is gonna want a sibling) and give her my normal eggs for her DH's sperm..and then everyone gets a baby....after I breastfeed this one!! The upside to FET is that we'd have a baby sooner and I wouldn't have to go through all the stims and everything right now. UGH. DH and I know we dont want just one and assume we'll have to do it all at some point again. The RE basically told us that having another one in a couple of years is basically the same as now in terms of my egg reserve/quality, bt we maybe think it's easier to do it when I don't have kids or a job?! Ugh. I might go for doing it all over again now and doing the FET for the future. The hard part is I want a child and I want a child NOW. Any thoughts?

I'm totally copying this on the fall group too btw. . . don't hate.

Hi girls...

Lauren319...I am so heartbroken to hear that this cycle did not work for you...I was so sure it would. You have a great attitude and will be pregnant very soon. Your decision is a tough one...good luck in whatever you decide to do. I had to laugh at you and your champagne bottle...I was drinking a few glasses of wine this week myself...and cappuccinos, too. lol

Sunshine...it is great to hear from you and to hear good news! Keep the updates coming...we need some positive news around here!

Rebecca and DCRunningMama...Congrats on being PUPO ladies!! I hope your 2ww goes by quickly for you. Get some rest now and find things to occupy your mind...so that you dont enter crazytown at all.

Tiger...Are you doing IUI again already? Wow! This is your time!

Ryann...Yayyy for finally getting the green light and starting meds!!!! I cant wait to watch you get your BFP! DH and I busted up laughing the first few times too...while he was trying to stick me. lol

Cakes...That is awesome news!!! I am sooo very happy for you!

Franny...Ohhh your poor DH. I hope that if he does have to have the surgery that he is feeling much better soon and that it doesnt affect your cycle either. Glad that you have gotten started finally...seems like it took forever...ya know? I'm praying for you both! I have a great feeling about this cycle and your new RE.

Oh and Franny...your unbelievably huge med order had me laughing so hard that I was crying!!! Thank you for that!

Klinger...I'm sooo happy to hear that everything is looking up for you and that you are getting started again soon, too!!!

Dys...Yayyy for great betas! Woohoo!!! Congrats!!

Amanda...I'm up with insomnia tonight...so I just saw your video on FB. That was awesome! I so want to do that sometime soon!

Lou...Yayy for a trip to NYC...that sounds like a blast. We love NYC and used to go at least 2 times a year...but have only been there once since having Zach...and that was with my aunt (like a mom) and my brother's family for Macy's Day Parade last Thanksgiving. I'm sorry that this cycle is hitting you hard...it never gets easier does it? Well chin up girlie...we will both be pregnant soon!!!

Teresa...Good Luck with your baseline today...let us know how it goes. I has my baseline today. I start the lupron Friday night and the stims on Saturday, too. How long do you normally stim for? I go 12 days...so ER will most likely be Sept 10th. Looks like we will be close together. We are going out of town this weekend...and my nurse told me to enjoy our complimentary cocktails at the hotel Saturday night...so a few drinks after your baseline wont hurt a thing.

Ester...Only a few more days till you get your BFP!!! How are you feeling?

Ashley...Have fun at the wedding...it's exactly what you need to stay out of crazytown! lol

Karin...What did your doctor end up saying about your potential donors? Sorry your other girl didnt work out.

Renee...Congrats on your awesome betas! Good luck today!!!

Fitz...How are you doing? I've been thinking about you.

Chili...How are you? You are hosting your BIL's wedding today? How fun! I love weddings! Everyone tells me that I should have been a wedding planner. lol Hope bridezilla doesnt drive you too crazy! lol

Katie99...Thanks for crashing in on me and everyone else. It means alot to us. Your words ...were truely uplifting.

AFM...Forgive me for being MIA again. I needed some time to think and figure out what to do for sure...I've gone back and forth on this all week. I suppose I am following my heart on this one, and not my head...knowing how high risk I will be when pregnant. I dont know how to explain it, but something keeps making me want to try again, ya know? I keep picturing me holding my baby this time next year...Thanking God and wondering what all the fuss was about right now. I have to have faith that this will work and try once again.

AF came Tuesday night and I had my baseline today (Thursday)...and the good news is that I wont need to take birth control pills this cycle!!! No leftover cysts and everything looks perfect and my E2 level was a 24. I start lupron Friday night and stims on Saturday morning...while on our mini vacation. lol ER approx Sept 10 and ET approx Sept 13!!!

I'm finally heading over to the Fall Cycle Group now...but will keep posting here as well...till everyone has finished cycling here. I'm praying for BFP's for everyone!!! Thankyou for all of your pm's, thoughts, prayers, and kind words during this time...you have no idea how much it means to me. xoxo
