Kat - Others will chime in I'm sure, but I did not need a full bladder for my NT scan.

Edited to add - I haven't needed a full bladder for any of the u/s I've had, but perhaps that's because all of my u/s are done at my MFM's office?

Kat...no full bladder needed here. She actually had me use the washroom before she started so I wouldn't get uncomfortable and asked me many times throughout if i needed to go again.

Thanks Klinger and Rypell. I was actually shocked they sent me over to the other place for my U.S as I'm supposed to have all my U.S at the MFM's which is just one floor up from my OBgyn's. I'm guessing she didn't look at my chart and didn't realize I'm high risk or they didn't have anything available at the MFM's. It's all set up differantly and I'm supposed to call my Obgyn and than my obgyn is supposed to call the MFM doctors.

Kat - they did make me drink water and have a full bladder :( and yes it hurt :( at my last US they wanted a full bladder to check my cervix, the other US I did not need a full bladder

Ryann Just make sure to count the contractions if they are coming often, most likely at this point with your first pregnancy they are BH! Congrats on becoming an auntie!!!!

Blair - adorable pics of your beans! Did you do your NT yet? So glad all is well with twins!

Leora - I live in a small city about 90 min from any big city, our hospital here is first grade and I found out they do have a level II NICU but hopefully we won't need it! I can't believe you are so close to the 20th mark, that is awesome! So glad all checked out well!

Stephanie wow you are so close, good job baking those boys! Hope the cramping is better by now.

Amanda did they have you do kick counts? Is anyone here doing them? Funny how their HBs are all over the place!

Rio - My doc didn't mention kick counts but the hospital told me to start doing them when they discharged me a couple of weeks ago. To be honest, most nights I don't bother since she's pretty active throughout the day & evening. But if I haven't felt her for awhile I'll lay down, chug some water, give her a nudge, and start counting. Are they having you do them now?

Just a quick update

I had a bit of spotting yesterday after a BM and went in today to see the OB and unfortunately my cervix is fingertip open...ugh I just could not stop crying but the doctors were very reassuring. They sent me up to L and D and I was monitored for 3 hours but thankfully I am not in Labor so they gave me procadia to take every 6 hours and sent me home to continue strict bedrest. I am only allowed t get up to pee. Ugh this is so stressful and I so badly want to make at least 34 weeks. Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement and prayers

Annashope - I'm sorry you've had a scare like that! I'm glad to hear though that you're not in labor and that you're starting the Procardia to hopefully keep any contractions at bay. I guess now we're not only TAC sisters but Procardia sisters as well. And you said you've had the steroid shots for Paul's lungs right? So you just keep doing what you're doing with your bedrest and we'll all send prayers & positive thoughts your way. Paul - you listen to your mommy & stay put for a few more weeks, ok?

Happy Friday ladies! So later this morning I'm going to go swimming at our Army base with a fellow pregnant Army wife. This of course meant that yesterday I had to try on my bathing suits to make sure I had one that fit. Thankfully they do but my belly, which has all along resembled a bowling ball, has seemed to have expanded overnight (I still love it though.) Here I am at 36 weeks, ready to backfloat until my fingers get pruney. :D

Klinger- You look so cute in those suits!! Your belly is still great and looks like it may have dropped. I would go enjoy yourself and relax in the pool.

Anna -- So sorry about the best rest. The procardia should help a lot and keep you from going into labor. Fingers crossed Paul stays put another month!

Amanda -- You're gorgeous mama! Hope you went with the bikini and flaunted that belly.

Bunny -- Any news?

Steph -- Twins here yet? If not... then looking forward to Tuesday! Hope you or DH feels up to posting pics soon. Can't wait to see those cutie pies.

Osi -- Nice to hear from you again due date buddy!

AFM -- Sorry I'm so short on time right now. I've been super busy at work. Today I'm flying to Denver later for speaker training for a new antibiotic tomorrow. I fly home tomorrow night. Not looking forward to it but it's a good consulting gig. Other than that, I'm doing well. Baby Chloé has been active and my weird pains seem to have stopped. I'll try to take a 23 week pic and post on Sunday. :D

Blair my old cycle buddy- see??? Nothing to worry about! Your babies are beautiful!

Annashope- fingers crossed that things settle down and you have a little more time, but I am sure that whatever happens your little miracle will make it through okay. Keep the faith!

Ladies- I am learning so much by crashing your party. From strollers, to BH contractions, to dog gates...this is better than reading any one of the dozen books on pregnancy I have. So many ladies are getting so close, its very exciting and you are all in my prayers. Next week will be a happy and exciting week. Hoping and praying that those of you that are ready to go get rolling soon...and those that are not ready stay happily and calmly pregnant. :)

Alisa

P.S. Perfect 169 BPM at the last u/s and baby is measuring right on schedule. I updated my ticker pic. Looks just like a little bean.
