Woohooo Franca!!! That is wonderful news!!! Congrats mama!!! :D

Glad to see that everyone is doing pretty well...besides our recent losses. My heart goes out to you, Karen. You have been on my mind all weekend. I look forward to seeing you back soon.

Well, I have some news...after trying for 2 months naturally, after our miscarriage...we have begun a new IVF cycle, as of a few days ago. Originally we werent going to go back and do another cycle...but after our miscarriage...we just knew we couldnt give up just yet. We are very excited to finally get the green light to try again. I started bc pills on Friday night...and will stop them on the 20th. My baseline will be July 23rd, I will start the meds on the 23rd and 24th. Retrieval approx Aug 6 and transfer approx Aug 9th. I will be back here approx. Aug 20th. lol

Loving the baby bumps...keep them coming! :D

Tammy - So glad you decided to try again! It's going to happen and you will be back here in August! I can't wait! :)

Lou - So glad you stopped in to share your plans and I am sure you will be back here next month! Glad you finally have an answer to what happened. I always knew it wasn't your fault. I hope that brings you closure. I am sure your mom is holding him in her arms. :)

Karen - Thank you for updating us. You are so thoughtful even during this traumatic time. We really are praying for you and thinking about you so much.

Tammy - Very happy for you that you are starting again. Best of luck and I will definitely be checking in on you.

Lou - I am also glad that you are starting this month and that you were able to get some closure with the test results. I too believe your little boy has a soul, no matter how young, and that he is in heaven...100% do I believe that. Good luck and thanks for letting us know!

Franca - Congrats!!! What a wonderful story and I am so happy for you!

AFM - I have a regular OB appt tomorrow (I've had all u/s to this point, so not even sure what that entails), but am going to ask about my cervix and make sure it looks good. Three times today I think I had Braxton Hicks (only felt them when I actually touched my stomach and realized it was rock hard), which is unusual. I know I'll get them more as time continues, and I hadn't had as much water as I have been drinking (I drink at least 2 gallons a day...which actually isn't unusual for me even before I was pg), and haven't had any this afternoon since I upped my water intake. However, I just want to make sure there's not something going on that shouldn't be, you know? But other than that, all is well.

Hi everyone -

This will be quick because its late and I'm wiped out!

Karen - You've been on my mind all day. You are so sweet to update us. Rest, heal, recover during this most difficult time, you have a wonderful DH who sounds so supportive, I hope you can find some comfort in that. And when you're ready to move forward we will be here to cheer you on. Please take good care of yourself and your DH - much love xoxo

Franca -Congratulations! How wonderful! and unexpected! Thanks for the good news! We were in need of good news! :D Keep us updated - xoxo

Lou - Aw honey I think of you often and miss the heck out of you! I'm so happy that you got your results and hope it brings you some closure to know that you did nothing wrong at all. I'll be stalking you on the summer thread and I plan that you'll be back over here in August! I wish you much love & luck! xoxo

Tammy - Yay! I'm so glad to hear that you didnt give up on your dream of a second child, I'm mentally planning a second child already too. I'll be stalking you and Lou on the summmer thread to cheer you girls on! And I'm sure you'll be back over here in August too! good luck honey - xoxoxo

Babyluv - Good luck at your appt tomorrow. I get more reg OB appts than u/s so I can safely say they're sort of boring - they'll do BP, dopplar, weight, urine and fundal measuring. I never feel like I saw a Dr without a u/s - or maybe thats because I have to wait an obcenely long time til my next one - ha ha

Hazel, Angela, Claudia, Gi - How are all you girls hanging in there? Hope you all are feeling alright - xoxoxo

Steph - Twin mama, I love your belly pics! umm, yep that looks like more than 3cm to me! I didnt forget, I will post belly pics as soon as I take one, and I didnt forget the registry either, this is just the only week Chris has off so I only have this time to put him to work around here haha please tell me that you are all squared away with your dressers and crib? Argh! to be discontinued so quickly after you picked up the first one? Grrr! I sure hope that your dad's wife jumped on the ones you tracked down! And I thought your poem was simply heartbreaking - Thank you for writing / posting it - xoxoxo

AFM - We have been busy little bees all weekend! but it caught up with me and I'm tired! Of course it is almost midnight and I'm trying to catch up with my girls and then its off to bed for me. Sat & Sun we went through babies r us, and walmart and buy buy baby! Cause if you really want to feel totally overwhelmed and you've never been in a baby store before - well thats how to do it  On a high note we did finally pick furnitue, but I have to say that I think babies r us is a bit sneaky by only putting on display all their higher priced crib sets - pretty much anything that we looked at online wasnt on display and I have a problem ordering furniture that I cant see up close first - I mean what if it isnt sturdy, right? We ended up getting these 20% off coupons that ended up pissing me off considering that you cant use them online - just in store, so OK fine - but why is it that most of their mid ranged cribs are sold online only then? Gee perhaps they think that you'll just but the $500 & up sets because thats ALL they keep in the store? Ummm, no Chris ended up finding a site called simplybabyfurniture that has just about every crib set in creation and charges NO sales tax or shipping! Whew! because dragging through BRU all day in 90+ heat wasnt going to keep happening  We did find a bunch of onesies, blankets, socks (oh those adorable tiny socks!) bibs, boppy pillow, bottles, etc. So hooray for that - and i have to say Chris did so great in the store, he picked alot of cute stuff and didnt lose patience when i wanted to see EVERYTHING in the whole store - WHAT? it was expected, i've never been in a baby store before - you all just knew I had to look at & touch everything, didnt you? Today we painted the bathroom, and tomorrow he wants to start taking apart the office to paint that room next, so I probably wont be around too much for the next few days, but I will check in even if I have to use his laptop to plug into the modem - I feel like I'm in withdrawl if I dont see how my girlies are doing each day - much love to you all - xoxoxo

Katie - glad you got everything picked out! I've been wandering through BRU and Target to see what I want, then actually registering online. I did that for the past kids too and for some reason it just works better for me.

AFM - Had my check up with the midwife today and she said it's really too early for me to start with the Braxton Hicks, so I need to rest a little more and drink more water. I usually drink at least 2 gallons a day, but I was pretty active on the 4th and drank more soda than usual, so that could have done it. They started the next day. In fun news, the babies are starting to kick more to where I can feel it from the outside! Yay! They actually started right when the BH contractions did, which is interesting.

Oh, and today we ordered Scarlett's new bedroom furniture! I'm so excited! It's adult furniture (full size bed and dresser), but so gorgeous. DH wants to hold off on the second crib (I found one last week that should go well with the one we have) until after the twins are here since we'll have them both in one crib at first anyway. So once Scarlett gets into her new room next month, the nursery will be essentially finished. That was my goal since I have no idea when or if I'll be on bedrest. Right now I am just going to take it super easy.

Steph - Is Alex's court date still set for tomorrow? So excited for you guys to make it "official." It's amazing what a piece of paper can do, even though she's been Andrew's daughter for so long.

Lou ah a little boy, we never found out the sex of ours which would have been nice. He is now your personal guardian angel.

Katie oh how much fun ye must have had baby shopping!!! I have had a few sneaks around the shop but cant wait to go with jason he will be as proud as punch and will want everything!! Have you any ideas on nursery colours or themes?

babyluv oh i hope those braxton hicks werent too scary!! Isnt it so cool to feel the babies on the outside i just so love those little kicks!!

Claud are you feeling flick much yet?

AFM had my 21 wk anatomy scan today and Kayla passed with flying colours :D She was wide awake and moving away and jason was amazed that i couldnt feel her! Though she is moving a lot lately Thank God. Had a terrible fright on sat, was out walking my little doggie when a Huge Boxer got away from its 14 yr old owner and attacked my dog, he was terrifed and yelping so loudly, he was trying to get away but the Boxer was swinging him around like a rag doll and knocking me all over the place. I was so upset and terrified but we finally got away and poor tyson was bleeding, i was getting cramps and couldnt stop crying. Anyway jason calmed me down when we got home i was so terrified Kayla was hurt that i drank a can of coke and was so relieved when she started kicking. Roll on November!!!!!

Hey mommies,

Wanted to say a quick Hi!! to all of you :D Although I've been out for a few days, I am actively reading all the threads. Just a lil nervous so trying to keep a low profile...just waiting for my Amnio results so I can jump right into the conversations.

Really sad and shocking to hear about Karen (I shall PM you, Karen.) Can't stop thinking about you. Your always in my prayers.

Stephanie - I know m late but THANKS A TON for setting up that Baby Registry. Ur really awesome - taking time out for all of us and going to thru' so much trouble. I do wanna sign up but just holding on until my Amnio results are back. BTW your poem was just beautiful...very emotional and warm ( was teary eyed all the way...) Thank you for thinking about every one of us...

Hello! Sonya, Lou, TammyS and Franca. Franca congrats on ur wonderful news! And G'luck Lou & TammyS. Sonya thanks much for offering us support :)

To the rest, Katie, Stephanie, Babyluv, Claudia, Hazel, Angela,Sara, Gi, Natasha - Good to know all of u are keeping well and the Dr appts are going fine. To all u ladies on the East Coast - STAY COOL and hydrated !! Its Horrible here in NJ..m dreading to even step out its burning HOT.

Gi-That is soooo scary about your dog getting attacked. I have nightmares about what I would do because although Lincoln is a 100 pound lab he is the most gentle and submissive dog you have ever met and if he feels threatened he rolls on his back. I honestly don't know what I would do and am so happy you got away and that Kayla was OK. I am feeling Flick occasionally (not the constant thumping that I had around week 16) but definitely kicks here and there. I too am getting Braxton Hicks so I am going to talk to my DR on Thursday. They last only about 10 seconds but my belly definitely tightens up and I feel a lot of pressure-so hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

Emerald-good luck getting your results from the amnio!! I am also a Jersey girl so I feel you on this crazy heat wave we are having. Unfortunately I am a swim coach so I have to be outside tonight from 5:00-8:00PM

Katie-going baby shopping is soooo exciting!! I have been looking online the past few weeks for ideas and will probably attempt to go shopping the end of August when I have some free time and will just be about to enter my third trimester!! We painted a bunch of our rooms about a year ago so I know how long of a process it takes so I'm sort of dreading doing the upstairs but also super excited since we haven't really touched the two guest rooms/office since we moved in!!!

Tammy-so excited you have a plan in action and I'm also a big cheerleader for you guys on the "other side"! Can't wait till you guys join us again!!!

Stephanie-good luck tomorrow making the adoption legal!! That is so exciting for your daughter who will officially become a Ford!

Babyluv-As I mentioned earlier I am also getting Braxton Hicks (I think based on my symptoms) What else did your DR say about that??? feeling the babies from the outside must be so exciting and I can't wait for that day!!!

AFM...not too much to report. I have my canceled OBGYN apt this Thursday so hopefully I will get an insight on what the next 20 weeks has to offer!! I will take a new baby bump pic tomorrow and post asap! love to all.

Claudia - Thanks on the good wishes for tomorrow. I am sure everything will go smoothly. Can't wait to see a new belly pic. :)

Emerald - Can't wait for your test resuls. Hoping for awesome news there! Thank you for the compliment on the poem. I just thought of what I would want to hear had it been me, and had it happened to me I would want to know my baby was ok. I am not a religious person (more spiritual) but I know so many are so I channeled religion to write it. Even though I wrote it, I cried the whole time and tear up each other time I read it just because of everything so many of you have been through. Not to mention my own loss, but they were already born. Still, the poem works for either situation.

Gi - YAY for an awesome scan! Though afer the weekend with Karen, when I read the word "passed" my heart sank for that split second. So relieved when I completed the sentence. lol What a horrible experience with the dog! That must have been so frightful! I would have called the police and make the owner pay for the animal hospital for my injured dog. I am sure that 14 year old has parents, how awful. At least everyone is ok, especially you and baby Kayla. :)

Babyluv - Yes Alex's court date is tomorrow. We are very excited it will finally be done. It's taken months to get this far. As for your braxton hicks, I called labor and delivery (the best on call nurses for random questions) and told them about me having BH too. I was 15 weeks when I got my first one. They said BH doesn't make cervical changes and not to worry unless I am having 4 or more an hour and if they are painful. I am always told to drink lots of water no matter how much I drink. I think her telling you to drink more water when you drink so much is rediculous. lol I mean, all you need is 4 bottles of water a day, you drink 2 gallons?? WOW! I have to force the 4 bottles down me. I just don't drink much I guess, but I am still going to the bathroom all the time. I bet your trips are so much more frequent with all that water. ;)

Ronda - So glad you pooped in... missed you bunches! Hope you are doing well.

Franca - Still elated for you! Hope the m/s doesn't grab too tight of a hold for you. I only got nausous, but I found that eating a little something more often helped me.

Katie - Can't wait to see your Ryan bump. hehe! Don't worry about the registry, many of us still have plenty of time so no rush. That's funny you have Chris running around on his week off. The honey do list must be getting bigger the closer you get to 3rd tri. Not sure if my dad's wife bought the dressers or not, she said she was but I have no way to be certain unless she tells me they shipped. lol As for the crib, still on the registry so that is a no. She said she was getting it all though and it should be here by the time of the shower. I have plans to show off the nursery that day so I am hoping she gets her ass in gear and does what she promised. lol We had plans to buy the crib this past weekend but didn't because she said no, she is. So now I am getting impatient. Me and my planning ahead... I always need so much notice and plan for every possible outcome. It's good, but a curse when I get impatient. lol I know what you mean about the BRU being sneaky! That's why I chose to order things online. The store's furniture was SO expensive. Nothing under 350 for one crib?? Really, 350 is the lowest you have? And that was an ugly ass crib too! That's also why I got the second registry, so much cheaper that BRU but BRU still has a few things I want. You will notice though how small it is in comparrison. Not to mention BRU is pissing me off (registry wise) because shit keeps popping off as not available online anymore. The store is over an hour away... no one is going to drive all the way out there to get any of those items. Grrr!!

AFM - Well, had the appt with the perinatologist today. It only took 2 hours this time. lol We had to have been in the worst possible room to do it this time because the screen was just crap. My cell phone has better resolution than that screen. They didn't take the disk this time so we got printed out pictures that were even worse than the screen. Seriously people?? I can't post a single picture it is that bad. The best picture we have is of little Ethan's junk. lol Not one picture of faces, or thumb sucking, nothing like that, just private parts and who knows what else because you just can't tell. Andrew took video with his palm so I posted that on youtube, I will give you the links so you can see. Warning, very hard to see. lol You can kind of hear the doctor telling you what everything is, but still not good resolution. On Ethan's video at the end, you can see his sister's feet kind of kicking him in the head. lol He is head down and she is feet down.

So on to the technical stuff, both babies are doing very well. Both are measuring about a week ahead and weigh 1.5lbs each. The previa is still there but they aren't telling me if it is worse, doc still has hopes that it might move. However, I remember how it covered during my last OB visit and it looked like it was growing the wrong way. You would think they would measure how far it is over the cervix and see if it has gotten better or worse but nope. They just check if it is there or not since that is all that matters in the end. Not sure how my cervix is looking. Doc mentioned something about it being short, but I guess it isn't in the danger zone, still makes me nervous. He was in such a rush this time that I didn't get to ask all my questions. :( He said that I am in a safe range to deliver now if for some reason the previa started to bleed and bleed. Huh? After what just happened to Karen, I don't think so. I am so hoping they stay in there as long as they can. Well, my OB wants them out at 35 weeks regardless to make sure that I don't hemorhage, but they are saying that can happen at any time now. Now both docs concur, no play time. Oh well, best for babies. It just sucks that I have such a healthy drive that seems to be getting even healthier the farther along I get... now that's just mother nature being cruel isn't it?? Oh and Andrew, him being so proud of his boy... they stopped the screen right over Ethan's junk and said, Yeah, anything you want to say about that papa? (It looked huge on the screen) Andrew kept his mouth shut then, but later he told me that his boy is taking after him. Men and their toolboxes. lol
