Woodcliff, good luck!! You are almost there. Hang in there and please take care of yourself and your little ones. Looking forward to getting updates!

Kim, Braeden and Ellie look happy and did well at the photo shoot. Sooo cute! I have to get my kids together for a photo session as well, but not sure if my two-year-old would cooporate!

Kimberley - sounds like you hosted an Easter gathering. How do you get all the energy!? Hope you had loads of fun!

How was everyone's Easter? Mike took Sean to an egghunting event at a nearby park. They had a good time. As for me, I nap in the AM, so I stayed in bed. The twins are little too young to be outside in the cold, so stayed home with grandma. Hope it warms up soon... so far March here has been qutie cold.

I had the postpartam appointment last week. Cannot believe it's already been 6 weeks. Everything healed up nicely so can start doing some sit ups! I lost a lot of weight but then my stomach... it's pretty sad. I know it porbably would take time to get back to my pre-pregnancy figure. But not sure about the stretched skin. I was 48 cm in fundal (sp?) height by 32nd week, so I was very big and I am only 5'4''. :?

Anyway, hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Hi Ladies! I hope you are all doing well...

I am 36 weeks today! Yesterday the OB said if all continues to look healthy for me (the babies are fine, scored 8 of 8 in their BPP), we can schedule the c section for next weekend, April 5 or 6 ....

So I have to get through M, T and Wed OB/BPP appointments, and then I'll know.
WISH ME LUCK
My bp is under control...for today at least

I sleep all day and love it. Hate to admit that, but I do...my last deep sleep for, oh, 20 years.
love to you all...gotta go sleep

Yeah, Woodcliff, good for you! Keep us posted....you've done a great job bakin' those babies. :)

I just got back from our local twin sale.....I bought a ton of toys and random items and only spent $100! It's the best! I'm also selling a bunch of stuff too....made me misty eyed, but we have to make room in our house for bigger things...

How is everyone? It's been quiet...

Hi All,

Woodcliff, hope you are hanging in there! Good luck with the birth, or maybe you have delivered already?

It snowed today in Seattle and it's a shame because the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and now I think the flowers are damaged by the weight of the snow. I don't recall snowing this late in March before. It's pretty though!

The twins are doing well but I think Alyson is having problems with gassiness. Poor thing is so restless in sleep and she sometimes cries while sleeping. I have to ask their pedi if I can do something for her. My husband is going on a business trip (this time for sure) in mid April, so I am hoping I can figure out a better schedule during the night time for the twins. I am still awake all night and nap during the day time. This schedule is working out great for me. My Mom is going to leave at the end of April, so I have to alter my schedule by then for sure.

I have to figure out the ticker thing. I was able to do it before but now I tried and gave up too easily. The twins are 7 weeks old this Monday. Their 2 mos check up isn't happening until May 1st though since their Pedi will be on vacation. They also have an appt wth a radiologist to check their hips because they were breech in mid April.

I booked an appt to put an IUD in as well. The chances of me getting pregnant is very very slim, but just to be safe... And it is supposed to make the period very light, which is a very attractive side effect!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Kimi--sorry to hear about the gasiness...try Wal-Mart's brand of gas drops (Equate). They're WAY better than Mylicon and much much cheaper. My kiddos are very gassy (even now with solid foods). So we still use it from time to time.

I had trouble with my ticker at one point too, but I can't find the directions someone gave me to make it work. Maybe Kimberly remembers? Good luck!

I'm pretty sick right now. I caught a whopper of a cold from my kids (they've been dealing with it for 2 flippin' weeks! :x ) I now have laryngitis, so it's not real fun right now. Oh, and my spring break started on Friday. good timing.

Thanks Kim. Unfortunately, Walmart is a bit far but I have been buying other generic brand gas drops. I've been mixing it into the bottle but I will try giving it from the srynge instead to see if it makes a difference.
I hope you are feeling better. I know we have no time to get sick especially since we have twins!

Will write some more tomorrow.
I have to go sleep now!

:D  Twenty four weeks, 17 weeks corrected :D

Hi guys sorry I don't get to come on here much. Things have been manic with me. My poor hubby has been made redundant and as his company has gone insolvent he has got to wait to get any of March's pay let alone redundency pay back from the bank.

Its a very worrying time. Don't know how we are going to pay the mortgage this month and the car has broken down too. He keeps applying to recruitment agencies who say they will get back to him and never do and when he phones they make up some lame excuse about them or the company involved been ill...

Just keep thinking at least all this is happening this year instead of last year when we were right in the middle of our ivf treatment.

Nothings ever easy is it? Is it just me or does your lives seem to go from one drama to another?

Still at least I have a wonderful husband and two fantastic babies who a thriving. I guess the rest will work its self out.

Sorry for being a misery I' just frustrated really.

Kimberly,

Just read what you said about one of your babies not sleeping great.. Can I recommend the Book "The baby whisperer solves all your problems" by Tracy Hogg.

I t worked for me my two are now sleeping through from 7 - 7 every night and I don't have to leave them to cry themselves to sleep. Which is a blessing cos that is really hard to do.

She's also got a web site on line xxx

Quita, so sorry to hear about your hubby's job. That stinks. I hope something turns around for you guys soon. What kind of work is he in?

Tolbee--sorry there's no Wal Mart near you. If you decide you want to try them, I'll be happy to send you a bottle. Just pm me and we can exchange addresses...FYI--I give the drops before we eat. It works better for us that way.

Kimberly--Where are you??? Are you working on your blog so much that you can't visit with us?

Woodcliff--what's up? You have your babies yet?

How are the rest of ya?

Hey Everyone!

I haven't gotten lost or anything I swear! I started putting Bodie in the office to sleep and unfortunately he's such a light sleepr that I can't sit here and type! I just put him back in his own room but we'll see if he stays there! He's doing better but not great. Last night he did 4.5 hours and then 3. I know it sounds bad but remember he was getting up every 2 hours all night. YIKES!

Thanks Quita for the boog suggestion. I will have to read it. The lack of sleep doesn't really bother me but I just feel it's so bad for him to not be getting more straight hours of sleep. Anna still goes from 7:30- 7:30 every day and never even makes a peep! LOVE THAT GIRL!!!!!

Also, so sorry to hear about DH's job. You sound like you are doing pretty good emotionally. We are all here for you if you need to vent or just chat. Good luck to him. Your family wil be in my thoughts.

Kimi~ Love your blog updates! Very cute! My babies were gassy as well but no drops really helped. Nothing really did anything for them but it just passed and now they think gas is funny. Anna gets a real kick out of it. I guess if you can't beat it. . . laugh at it!

Kim~ Are you feeling better?? Bummer you get a cold on spring break. Thanks for the comments about the babies. Did I never post nursery pics? It still hasn't been 100% completed but I do love it. I will have to post some.
We also got a new computer so I was out of the loop for about 3-4 days. What a strange feeling to have no computer. I felt so left out!

Well, I am so tired and time is flying by so I better run. Can't wait to here from everyone. Woodcliff? Diane? Where did everyone go?

Have a great night everyone!

Kimberly--glad to hear you're alive! I feel your pain about moving babies to different rooms. Braeden has been napping in our bedroom (it's really helping!). Slight problem--I have to pull my clothes I"m going to wear for the day out ahead of time, so I can get ready without waking him! Just one more thing, huh? I also wanted to do laundry this morning while they slept, but some of my dirty clothes are in the bedroom. Some days, you just can't win! :D I hope Bodie does better back in the nursery. You're being a good sport about the wakeups. I'm not so chipper about it these days!

I'm guessing that Woodcliff is either in L&D right now, or she's already had her bambinos. That's my guess!

I wonder if Di doesn't check in anymore because the site doesn't always send out notification of posts? I miss her!

We need to hear how our other preggo mommas are doing. What's the latest?

Good news (I'm knocking on wood as I type)....we're cold free! Yeah! I haven't had to wipe up boogers for over 24 hours now!

Hello Ladies, My DW and I just returned for our 24 week u/s and I am a little concerned about my daughter(we are having b/g tiwins) Anyways, my boy is at 1.9 ounces and my girls is at 1.2 ounces. My DW's uterus is closing a little faster than they would like so our doc told her to take it easy...stay off your feet as much as possible. I dont like the combo of a slow growing little girl and fast closing uterus myself. Can someone help ease my mind.

Thanks

hello twin mummies,

Hope you don't mind but I've been stalker your thread for weeks now and learning lots - thank you!! I am scheduled for my twins on 14th April (37 weeks) and had a question which I hoped you may be able to answer for me..... my babies are passing their biophysical scans and their NST's so all looks well other than baby b is less than 10 percentile. I'm 36 weeks this coming monday and he/she weighs only 4lb 6oz (baby a is 5lb 1oz ... 24 percentile). Did any of you ladies get to 36 weeks and have such tiny tots? do you think it will affect their breathing or feeding? am getting nervous and want to make sure I'm prepared for whatever eventuality.

thank you in advance!

rebecca

PS. kholtan, I don't know if you remember but I was on one of your threads way back in January 2007...unfortuantely I had a few BFN's so fell behind you! So happy to read that your babies are doing so great.
14th april 2008 - beautiful twin girls!!

vickersx3--I'll keep you and DW in my prayers. I didn't experience that, so I have no advice for you. Although, what does the doc consider a "big" weight difference? I know throughout my pregnancy, Baby A was always bigger, and sometimes the difference was bigger and the next u/s it was smaller....as for the closing uterus, I don't even know what that means. Is she having contractions? Good luck to you. She's made it very far...have her take it easy, so she can keep cooking!

Rebecca--you've done GREAT so far! Wow! I know that U/S weights can be +/- a pound, so maybe it's off? I know when I had my last u/s, the babies were supposed to be 6 pounds plus, but they ended up being 5 1/2 pounders...I've had friends whose babies came out bigger than the u/s. I wouldn't worry too much. You've made it to a great point, and your babies should do very well! I delivered at 36 weeks, 6 days, and we didn't have any lung issues. Good luck to you!
