Lauren -- I'm so sorry for your BFN. I know you weren't surprised but I'm sure it hurt nonetheless. I really hope you get your insurance issues ironed out because your next cycle will be THE cycle. Good luck at your WTF appt. Keep us posted.

Tiger -- CRAP!!! I cannot believe it. I'm so sorry. I just don't get it. You are young, make nice eggs, had super sperm, and did back-to-back IUI's. This should've worked for you. I do think you should do the HSG. My doc does them CD 6-8. Often an HSG will clean out the cob webs and make a nice path for that egg next cycle.

Kerri -- You are PUPO x3! Congrats. As for the low % of mature eggs, what were the follicle sizes and your estrogen level? Typically a follicle needs to be 16-20mm to be mature and your E2 level should be about 200 for each mature egg plus a bit from each of the smaller ones.

SD -- I'm praying for your 3 embies... it only takes ONE, remember?

CJ -- Have you considered an IVF cycle vs IUI. If this is not an option, then full injectibles might be a good idea. You need to pull out all the stops. I'm wishing you the best.

jkulab -- Cramping 2-3 days after ET followed by nothing is EXACTLY what I had! :D

Margi -- Omigosh... I hate your lab! But I do believe all will work out for you. California here you come!

Amanda -- Sorry for the negative HPT's. I know how they can mess with your head and get you down. But remember.... it's not negative until it's negative by blood test. Many have gotten positive beta's after negative HPT's even on the same day. I'm praying for you.

Darlene -- Thank you! I think IVF is a matter of finding the RIGHT embie. The long lupron cycle is the standard and definitely worth a shot if you have good antral follicle counts and normal CD3 labs. Lupron didn't work well for me... I ovulate right through it!

hopeisallihave -- You are pregnant! Just believe that. Imagine that embie dividing and burrowing in and try to relax. I know, easier said than done. One more day. You are in my thoughts and I've got everything crossed for you.

Leora -- Woohoo for growing follies! I'm so happy for you!!! :D

nwquiz -- Hooray for AF and getting started! You must be so excited. This will be YOUR cycle.

Kat -- I'm so sorry about your dog. That sounds so horrible. Our Boxer Roxy is like our child, we just love her so much. So I completely understand how you must feel. I hate losing pets. I feel so bad for you guys.

AFM -- I'm doing well. Just trying not to worry during this wait for my u/s. I think this wait is worse than the 2ww. I POAS this morning at 20 dpo and there were two VERY dark lines. Whew! Praying for a bunch of BFP's soon to come!

Quick post because I have to drive back to work. He is changing me to a Lupron cycle because my overies don't want to respond to antagonist anymore. He feels certain they will approve cycle if he sends a letter saying he strongly feels it will work with the changes. Pill for 3 weeks and start lupron last week of pill. Then gonal f, menopur, and assisted hatching. Hope to transfer 4.

Just noticed..this thread is now 100 pages!! Wow.. Way to go ladies.. And good job, leora!! Our sweet list mistress..

Lou- If I was in your place I will also be peeing in that stick often till my u/s, just to see those beautiful lines..I know it will be crazier than 2ww before beta...! Good luck for surviving it..

Lauren- good luck for your new protocol!! I'm so glad that your doc agreed to help you get approval for another IVF cycle!!

Sorry for not doing too much personals.. I'm trying hard to take as much rest as possible after yesterday's ET..and is typing away short messages from my phone lying down..it's tough! I don't know how long I can do it! How much bed rest did you all take after your ET? Last time i went to work right after it and felt guilty for it after I got BFN.. I know studies show there is no difference..but still.. Would like to do whatever is possible to make my embies stick..

Sweetpea... I'm so sorry about your puppy dog... I have two sisters that we have had since 3 weeks old - their mama was put down and they were abandoned. We are so in love with them and they can't stand to be separated, but they are 8 years old and not doing well - they have had a lot of issues - genetic we think. So I can't imagine the day we lose one of them.. and the other will not be far behind out of sadness I am sure. I hope you have a special memorial for her.

Tiger and Lauren.. damn those bfns... you ladies are troopers for sure.. I hope you get your much awaited bfps soon.

Margi... WTH is wrong with these labs? Do they NOT know how important timing is with this? I would be pitching a fit.. calling them myself to complain! LOL

Penny - so quicker is not better? Do they grow too fast? I hope they figure out a plan that works for you.

HopeIsAll and Amanda... praying for good BFP news for both of you!

SD.. sounds like fun... did you buy a gross of POAS toys?

Leora... YAY! So happy those future babies are growing!

nwquiz... yes.. too bad about the healthcare bill not including infertility.... but you are right.. we need a president that has experienced infertility to make it law for coverage. Did you know that neonatal care was not even available for preemies until JFK and Jackie lost a baby around 32 weeks? There is no doubt that baby would have probably survived today.. but back then there was no specialized care... so of course he changed that!

AFM... I'm having crazy "O" pains today, so I guess I am squeezing out what little eggs I have... though doubtful they have grown enough to be mature. Maybe one of the 3 actually grew in the last couple of days. We are going to "do the deed" anyway, but don't expect much from it.

Lou... you mentioned going from IUI to IVF and it made me think.. I have always thought IVF was impossible financially for me, but if I can "collect" the meds over a couple of months, which I know is a big portion of the expense, how much is just the ER and ET? My insurance will cover labwork and u/s monitoring. I wasn't sure if a clinic would price it out that way or not. Boy am I sounding cheap! LOL

cjinnc- i dont want to be the carrier of bad news all the time. but just from experience i have looked into the same thing of ivf from iui. one thing insurance will not pay for monitoring visits ultrasounds or blood work if you are doing ivf unless you have ivf coverage. so am not sure how you will go around that one. Its so crazy even cycles when i had a cyst so could n ot proceed with treatment they would not pay  . maybe you have better insurance but just wanted to give you a heads up on that one.

Amanda - You're in Alabama, right? So 2 hours ahead of me? I think my appointment is at 7:30AM. I have to call my nurse or find my appointment card to confirm. So I guess we'll be finding out around the same time. I hope it's sooner than later, too. I'll be on pins & needles the entire time. Good luck to us!! *Praying*

SD - when does POAS craziness begin? :)

Leora - Holy smokes, you follicle making machine! That's amazing! Right on, sister! :D

Anton - thank you so much! I need all the positive vibes I can get. Your doctor does sound very humanitarian. Lucky you! Those sort of doctors are hard to find, the ones who genuinely care.

Nwquiz - YAY for AF coming into town! Let's get this show on the road!

Kat - Oh dear, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. Although I have never had a pet myself (up until last year when we bought our first guinea pig, Einstein), I saw how badly the death of my DH's 10-year-old dog affected him just a few months ago. They truly become a part of the family and it's so difficult to say goodbye. My thoughts are with you.

Lou - thanks for your well wishes. I sure hope they come in handy tomorrow! Yay for the reassurance from those sticks. 2/22 will be here in no time! Looking forward to seeing a beautiful US pic from you then!

Lauren - sounds like a great plan! This next cycle HAS to be and WILL be yours!

Sunshine.12 - you try to get all the rest you need, PUPO girl! I was on bedrest for 2 days after my ET, as instructed. Couldn't wait to get up and start moving around after that. My body started getting too week from all that loungin'. Since then, however, I've been taking things very lightly. Light work around home, making sure not to lift my 4-year-old niece (so difficult!) and light walks around the block. I hope it all pays off tomorrow!

Carol - thanks for the prayer! I need all that I can get :) Have fun, BDing.. really. You never know what could happen. Don't need to have high expectations - if it happens, fantastic. If not, at least you had a good time. My poor DH is going through withdrawals

AFM - Less than 24 hours until my beta. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for all the baby dust, everyone!

KAT -
Image I am big dog lover myself and it hurts deeply when we lose one of our best friends, huge hugs to you and DH.

nwquiz - thank goodness for AF finally here!Image You know, even if the bigwigs had fertility issue, I am sure that their special health insurance covers it all, they have a much better cover it all insurance than us mere mortals so I really don't think they care! My employer (govt) declined the option for fertility coverage - thank you very much! ;) not fair is it?

Amanda and Hope - Image

wannabeamum - yes I felt really sore and uncomfortable druing stimms.

CJ - you need to shop cause IVF success rates and $$$ vary a lot from place to place, you don't want to spend your $ on a bad clinic.

Sunshine - it is good to take it easy and relax but you are right there is really no prrof that bed rest helps at all, so feel free to move to the couch ;) do whatever makes you feel good - except for a hot bath!!! or sex!!!!!!!! no sex allowed in this baby making business! Image

Leora- Awesome news on follies - you follie growing making machine!!! Image

Anton - you can go to http://www.photobucket.com and search for something you like then copy the Image Don't stress out! Saty sane for your follies! Stay cool my friend!Image

Hey gals! just had my retrieval this morning. 11 eggs retrieved. Afterwards talked to my embryologist about strategy - have to wait and see how many embryos fertilize and look. and then we decide. probably freeze some on day 2 and maybe let some go to day 3 or 4. everything is up in the air at this point. have to wait and see. i told her that i wanted to be cautious about twin pregnancy this time around. so we'll see what happens!
