Hi All,
Christmas guests left yesterday and within minutes I was taking a nap! :D
Family - ya gotta love em!

Our EC date in January has once again been pushed back. Helping a family member with $$$ (legal emergency) in November caused a ripple effect in our IVF $$$ plan, so we needed two more weeks. Our clinic always requires full payment up front (understandable). Instead of the 20th, we will have EC on the 31st. :( I guess it could be worse.

I'm worried that this round won't be a good one because I am already bleeding. In both the good rounds I didn't bleed while on the down regging drugs until the very end. This is similar to our bad round where we cancelled due to low follicle count. Oh well, it is what it is, nothing I can do at this point but go forward and be positive. (At least we have our 9 frosties)

I'm starting to worry about BigJ. Does anyone know anything?
Amfy - sorry about AF. I've been tricked that way as well. :(
Hi Debra, Kat, Anna, Jen and anyone else I've missed.

Jen - meeting with consultant 27th Jan
Anna - waiting for AF, short cycle in Jan
Kat - taking time to decide next step
Amfy BFN :( big hugs
Randa - EC Jan 31

Anna - meant to say yes, QMH have been brilliant with all the scans I needed both before and after we went to Spain - even organised a prescription for me when my stupid GP wouldn't help (and so far I have only paid for one scan - not sure if I will be billed for the others - not going to ask!)

Duh! Thanks, Kat. Of course, BigJ's probably posting on the preggars board nowadays. For some reason, I never think to look over there. In fact, I've gotten kind of lazy and I don't post or read anything but this thread anymore.

Hi girlies 8) 8)

I have not abandoned you sweeties not atall....
I have the step kids here and dh all playing guildwars the whole time, and feel so pukey sick that I am lying on the sofa like a slob sipping Ginger tea and chicken soup, just managed to get to the pc for a few mins since we just came back from scan. Beta HCG is up to 76000 already, I had convinced myself there was an ectopic ...but seems all OK. Hope that's Ok to let you know we have 1.02 cm sweetie with a bnice h/b for the last 2 weeks. Bloody fibroid is growing Grrr  but we hope that wont interfere, too early to tell if little sweetie is building her house on sand or not  On Monday I will be at 7 wks 4 days the day I lost my little dragonfly. That is a big milestone as you can imagine. The house will be empty, dh at work til 10pm, I just pray I get throught that day.
We have mega snow here so it's been quite a festery Christmas. The kids go tomorrow back to their freinds (they are nearly 18 (twins) after all I reckon we are lucky they still come we must have done something right :D )

I love all you girls and am watching your progress so if that's Ok I'll hang around here a bit. can I stay on the list plz it feels safe there???

Well, looks like we've run into a hitch with our donor egg cycle. I had my baseline US and E2 yesterday and my E2 is too high because I have a 18 X 15 cyst on my left ovary which explains why I got no period after stopping BCP's on 24th. RE says if the cyst is not gone by 1/3 it must be aspirated to get rid of it in order to continue with cycle. It sounds simple enough but he's in Las Vegas, NV and i'm in PA! I am an agency nurse so I do not get paid for time I miss and it is severely frowned upon. Also the cost of flying to Vegas last minute! I'm going to beg my local RE to do it but he's on vacation til Monday so I can't talk to him til then. Our money is disappearing rapidly. Now i'm worried if this does work, we'll be too poor to buy baby stuff. And i'll have to work like a dog when i'm pregnant to recover from this round. Meanwhile, i've been working with 2 co-workers with rapidly growing bellys and another one announced 2 days ago she's pregnant too! Will this ever end?

:(

Hi all, Happy New Year (let's hope so). Anyone go partying? We stayed in and watched tv and went to bed at 11.30 - unheard of a few years ago - must be our age (or the fact that we seem to have become mega-unsociable recently)

Lisa - they must be able to deal with your cyst at your local clinic surely?
I know where you're coming from with the travelling last minute stuff, when we went to Spain for ET, flights were 10 x what we paid when I booked well in advance... I hope it all works out OK, it's so frustrating especially when you've psyched yourself up for it.

Lots of love

Hi Jools,

I am new to this site, and am currently on a waiting list for donor eggs in the UK (seems like I have been waiting forever - with no end in sight). So I am taking you up on your above offer, and wondered if you could spare the time to give me any info you may have, in particular, being new to this site, the ISIDA is a mystery to me, what does this stand for?

Regards, Bev

HI everyone ...Happy new year....and hope all dreams come true in 2006

I have been busy with family staying for a few days from down south then my friends staying over the New Year too...at last we are on our own again in our own house...my, it is exausting looking after everyone and good getting back to our usual routine.

Sounds like Randa and Jules also had the family in! Hope you have recovered girls !!! Jules rest up good to here you are okay ansd sweetie is growing. I do hope Monday was bearable for you...sending you loads of ginger hugs to keep the morning sickness at bay. 8)

Randa- sorry to hear that ec has gone back to the 31st....and to add to that stress the bleeding...I hope that all goes well for you and the follie count is higher than you expect. Can you carry on if low follies and thaw some of the 9 frosties in this cycle?I have never had frosties so don't know the proceedure? good luck.... :)

anna any sign of AF yet? I can't believe tyhat you are still waiting! You poor soul...what a nightmare...I though i was bad waiting 6 weeks !!! It's even worse when you are waiting for AF to start a cycle...she can be such a little devil  sometimes. Hope it comes soon then you can start your cycle...we will be cheering you on from the blinkers Anna

Lisa- what an added stress to your cycle, this cyst and all the travelling you will need to do. As Kat said can it not be done locally?
as for pregnant co- workers...nightmare ! When i was preg the 1st time at 10wks found out it was ectopic, and i was devestated. I went back to work quickly to take my mind of it and found out my co-worker was not only preg, but due the same day i was meant to be. On top of this her name was Jen too. And for the rest of her pregnancy we were called preggy Jen ansd not preggy Jen. i was constantly remineded that i wasn't preg anymore. She was so understanding though but it was my most painful 9 months ever.
I understand totally Lisa how hurtful it is when others are talking about due dates, aches and showing off scan photo's :( I do hope you get the cyst sorted soon and you can then focus on getting a BFP on this cycle :)

kat- it's good to hear you sonding more upbeat...it sounds like you survived through the pain of Christmas...i hope 2006 brings you both Peace and happiness. :)

Amfy- How are you sweetie? Hugs to you

wishing you a happy healthy and wish filled 2006 Image

Hello ladies and a very happy new year to all!
Hi Bev welcome to the thread, good luck with your tmt.

Lisa good luck with the cyst drain. I have been through similar and totally understand your frustration. Hopefully you will be able to have it done soon.
Jen glad you had a good new year, it's great to have visitors but it's also great when they leave!! I read your message about co workers naming the two Jens. How insensitive can you get? What strength of character you must have had to get through that without bashing anyone!!!

Guess what girls.....yep, still no AF!!! I am steadily climbing the walls.
Have finished progesterone meds. Trying to stay positive, back to work Wed so hopefully that will take my mind off things!!

Oh ANNA! WHAT IS GOING ON! I hope it comes right now this minute without another second's delay. You're very patient and good about it, and I admire that.

Haven't been on the boards for a couple of weeks, just been reading up on all your activities. Well done, Jules, it sounds as if it's all going really well for you.

People keep asking me what I'm going to do next - do you get that, Kat? I don't know what to say, really, I feel quite lost in truth. But of course I don't say that, I just say we haven't fully decided what's next. The problem is all these people phoning up saying their girlfriend's pregnant, or so-and-so's pregnant, etc etc - and I smile and congratulate them and say, 'how fantastic!, I'm so pleased for you!'. But inside a little bit of me dies.

Anyway, goodbye 2005, what a rubbish year, hello 2006!

Hi Randa, BigJ, Jeni, Anna, Amfy, Kat and all. Good luck to the lot of us!

Love, Lara
