Sara - That is such a cute story about your DD. She sounds so adorable! Pregnick... love it! :) What you said about DH and circumsision, sounds like what happened with Andrew and I. lol He was so about yes, it's getting done, no other options that I was like... Oooookay! He didn't even want to talk about anything else. Not a big deal, but wow is he passionate about it. lol Glad you will be joining the registry. It needs at least a few more girls to participate. I think including you, I am waiting for three people who said they would like to do it. Thank you for your support with the shower. lol I don't think you coming all this way to throw it for me would be necessary, though that would be so awesome if you or anyone else could come! I know it can't really happen, but I do wish we could all just get together and have one big group hug and shoot the shiznit. :D

Gi - No I don't think you said you got the buggy and furniture. I remember you saying you wanted it but would wait till after the scan. That's so cute how anxious Jason was to get it. Such a proud and happy papa! You talking about her kicks and punches just made me smile so big.

Babyluv - I have a plan for the twins in every important room. lol I have the crib (will be 2 once my dad's wife buys the other one) in the nursery, then I will have a pack 'n' play in our bedroom (unless we need it elsewhere) and then two bassinets for the main floor. I think that they will both fit in one bassinet for around a month maybe. One at the top, one at the bottom, feet touching. I think that will cover all needed spaces in the house easily since we have two stories. So how are you feeling? I am becoming so blah already. I feel like such a drag. Not that I get to go out much anyway, but when I do I am wobbling and hurting after less than 30 minutes. All this weight on my pelvic bone has caused the cartilage to rip. I have also had a few BH and though I know they are normal they scare me. lol

Angela - Wow about your clotting disorder. So you weren't aware of the dangers before now? I am glad your have a couple docs keeping thier eyes on you. I think you will be well taken care of! :) I know what you mean about the stories on the news. With the heat the way it is, it's horrible reading or watching the news with people forgetting their kids or just leaving them in the car. WHAT? How to you forget a kid? How hard is it to take a kid in the store with you for a few minutes. Some people need to be cained and rubbed down after with tobasco, still be in the assumed position while someone with a hot curling iron comes up behind them. Anyway... you get my point. On a brighter note... I am very happy that Gabriella is doing awesome. :) I never heard of not being able to be admitted without a pediatrician, how odd? I never had to do that this early. I just had to have one by the time I got there. They can be really picky at some places I guess. As far as we go, we can't choose a pediatrician. Being military, nothing is covered until after the baby is born and in a system called DEERS. Once the baby is added there, then you can register with a clinic on post. So my babies will not have a specific doctor, they will have a clinic. The whole process is exhausting but only takes a day to do with the birth cert in hand.

AFM - Well, thanks to Army drama that came up, the shower girl came over. lol So I did find out that she sent out the invites. late but she did it. One less thing to worry about. She isn't upset about me taking care of the cake either. The drama is related to FB funny enough. There is a wife that monitors FB and if you say something about the unit, as vague as it may be, she prints it off and gives it to the Commander to put in a "problem" folder. She also has her husband call the soldier of the wife who spoke her mind to her friends on FB and has him tell the soldier to control his wife and she can't be saying things about the unit. Us wives (who are civilians) can't have an opinion, we can't get upset that our husbands work 16 hour days and never get leave approved. If we do, over FB or to face ot face to anyone we might vent to, then our husbands get reprimanded. So basically in a nut shell, our first ammendment rights are being violated since we are literally being told to shut the hell up AND our men are being discriminated against and punished for our opinions. God Bless America huh? Now, the person throwing the shower is going all the way to Congress with this. She has a hell of a fight ahead of her.

OH! I found my other swing on CL for $60!!! It's the pink one so now I have that one and the light blue one. YAY! It was a great find too since the sale went away. They went from 125 to 157.54 odd price but OUCH! I just wish I could find the other expensive items too! lol

Hi Ladies!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!

Steph-I don't envy you with all this Army BS drama that you deal with!!! I can't believe it took that woman getting fired up about a Facebook status to come over and talk about your shower....what a you know what!!! You are doing the right thing by taking care of most of the details yourself, but sorry what is supposed to be the best event in your life is a stress!!! I can't believe the difference a few weeks makes with your belly pic!! Definitely looks bigger than 3cm but very cute nevertheless!!!

Sara-I loved that story about your DD!!! What a cutie and YAH for DH and DD being able to feel the babies kick! I can't wait to get that thrill!!!!

Gi-Yah for getting the cute pink and purple buggy that you were admiring!! So cute that Jason is like a kid in a candy store! As happy/excited my DH is about my pregnancy he isn't the best shopper! When we go to the mall he reads his book in Starbucks while I shop! So I may take my mom since she loves all that stuff!!! I love that Kayla is being a little soccer player!!

Angela-I was so relieved to hear that everything was ok with Gabriella! I know how stressful this whole thing is and I'm so happy they are monitoring you closely and weekly!

Katie-how is the painting/room changes going!?!?! Please make the DH do all the lifting and you be the conductor!! xoxo

Natasha-hope you get to stop those shots soon! I was so happy when I finally did the last butt one!!!

AFM...I am SOOOO happy to hit that 20 week mark today!!! Feeling great other than the occasional headache and the one symptom I'm getting by working outside is that my heels are bothering me after standing for a little bit. Once I sit down it's fine but unfortunately with coaching at a pool I am on my feet for a good couple of hours!! Here is my belly shot at 19w3d and I'm still waiting for everyone to show off theirs!!!

Claudia - I can't believe your bump and boobs are about equal! Mine surpassed that stage a loooong time ago. You are looking fabulous as always! Hope your headaches go away! I have an anterior placenta as well (not sure if it's both babies, but the tech made it sound that way), so some days I feel a lot, some days hardly anything. So thankful for my doppler!

Steph - I hate that you have to censor yourself! I understand not saying anything about where troops are overseas or pertinent info, but sometimes it gets overboard. I am so sorry! We have two stories as well, and I hadn't thought about getting bassinets since we have one in the pack-n-play. Hmmm...that's not a bad idea, even if it's just Moses baskets. I'm definitely getting two bouncy seats, but I think I will stick with one swing for now and play it by ear. If they both love being in the swing, maybe we'll get a second one.

Gi - SO FUN that you got the buggy! And I love you say buggy! So much more fun than "stroller." Scarlett's furniture is apparently in, but her room isn't cleared out and painted, so hopefully we can have it all put together in the next 2-3 weeks.

Sara - Your DD is adorable! How old is she?

AFM - Mom left this afternoon and the kids and I are getting ready to go pick up DH from the airport. SOOO happy to have him home!

Gi – That sounds great that you ordered most of your nursery furniture. I am trying to get my nerve up to start shopping for Gabriella.

Sara – I just love the stories about your DD. She sounds just precious … I told me DH about it and he smiled and said that is so cute.

I will try and take your advice and enjoy this pregnancy because who knows she could be our last miracle.

Stephanie – yes, I was aware of the dangers of my clotting disorder but from what I was told they would just monitor me while I was pregnant but no one mentioned following the pregnancy. Sometimes I feel like my previous OB just saw his patients as a number and tried to rush us out of there for their own convenience and sake of time.

Claudia – I love the picture … the funny thing is I think my stomach is just as large as yours and you are 4 weeks ahead of me but I have been pregnant multiple times and they say once your muscles stretch out for a pregnancy, the pregnancies following usually shows a lot quicker.

Babyluv – I am so glad that your DH is back but sorry to hear your mom already left.

AFM – I had another u/s today and I was a little perturbed with the u/s tech as it seemed like she was trying to rush us out there and refused to measure her size to see is she was on track. I thought I would ask her to look because I seem so much bigger than when I was pregnant w/ Ashley. It immediately brought back the same feelings of my last OBs office. They never acted like we were parents but like we were on an assembly line. So I brought it up to my high risk OB and he said that they aren’t allowed to look for things that isn’t previously ordered by a physician (I still think she was rushed and rude). I also told him that I am a patient that needs to be very informed of my care and involved, so I was unaware of what the u/s techs actually look for during each visit. Most of the techs are so nice and look at whatever we ask for, like sex of the baby, the placenta, etc. But, this tech refused to do anything and was very impersonal. I guess I am so over protective over her because this could be our last chance at having a family and I will not let anyone who just doesn’t care about their job to ruin it by missing things that are important. But, the positive thing is that Gabriella is doing well, had a great heartbeat, and the cervical length still looks great! I hope you ladies are having a great Monday!

Hi Ladies,

Got my Amnio results and ALL IS JUST FINE  Gosh such a relief !! THANK YOU ALL for your positive thoughts and support. Could hardly concentrate on anything else. I truly wish this was the last hurdle and that my DH and me can finally actually enjoy/ celebrate our pregnancy.

Angela good to know ur u/s went well and that Gabriella is doing great! Yeah sometime these u/s techs are lil weird. I can hardly get mine to smile. I just try and keep my cool and remind myself atleast she is doing a good job with the scan ;) I totally missed ur thread abt the clotting disorder so sorry to hear about it. I am with this Rheumatologist and ur high-risk OB all will be just fine.

Babyluv So nice ur DH is back home! It must have been great having ur mom around. How are the Twins doing ?

Claudia That's a real cute belly pic :) Congrats on reaching the 20week mark..can't wait that. My bump doesn't that look cute :( ( I blame it on bloating and IVF meds). I haven't taken a single pic of my belly yet. I guess sometime this week...we were waiting for our amnio results. Now I can begin to fuss over it :)

Stephanie how are u and the twins doing ? I hope u're not letting all this army drama get to u. Wow I was just watching an episode of 'army wives' that I missed last night and now thinking things are not always as they seem. I finally have my list ready for winter thread registry and will PM you right after this.

Gi Its sooo cute loved reading about Kayla kicking! I have started feeling tiny kicks wow sooo precious can't wait for them to get stronger..That's lovely that u will now have all nursery the furniture as well as the buggy!!

Sara heeyyy love the word pregnick :D even I teared up reading what she had to say - so cute. Your DD is a darling. I am doing fine and now even better after getting the amnio results. Such a HUGE relief...I have recently started feeling my baby kick and gosh what a feeling!!

Katie, Hazel, Natasha how are u girls doing ?? Hope all is well with u'll.

AFM now that all is well with our baby girl, DH and I can actually start thinking about baby furniture, clothes....Dec seems soooo far....wish I could fast-forward everything to mid-nov :))

Anyways hope all u ladies are doing fine and having a good week. Take care.

Emerald - YAY on the awesome results! I knew everything would be ok, but I know how getting the proof makes all the stress go away. Now you can concentrate on all the fun stuff and stop worrying so much! I know the previa is still going to put a damper on things, but we are in the same boat there. Lets both keep positive thoughts that it won't be a problem. :) I am doing well as I can be. Loving every moment I feel the babies move. I love knowing and in some cases guessing who is kicking or punching me. I can look at Andrew and say, Your son... or Your daughter... lol Have you felt baby girl move yet? Have you thought of any names? Yes, Army drama is not to be dodged. It is there whether we like it or not. I don't watch Army Wives though. Some friends do and say how real it is, but I don't want to take the chance of seeing my life on TV. lol There are a lot of things about the Military that no one knows about. From constitutional rights being violated, disrcimination, Military medical professionals horrid mistakes and oversights that end in death, government financial mistakes that soldiers have to pay for.. the list goes on and on and I have been witness to all of it. The governement makes it very clear, the soldiers are property.

Angela - So glad everything is still fine with baby Gabriella, however what a terrible experience with the tech. What is it with some people? I understand that techs are very limited now a days with what they can tell you, but why be so rude? I have come across people like that and try to crack a joke of some kind or break the ice, but some people just have bad days. That's understandable, but they need to understand that their job requires a bedside manor. Fake a smile and help mom feel some relief and take the 5 seconds it takes to measure the baby for worried mom. Sheesh! I have even said to people like that, I am sorry you are having a bad day but fake a smile because you are depressing the shit out of me! More times than not, they turn around pretty quick. I got treated badly by the legal assistant at my Lawyer's office to find out that her husband just died in Iraq. I couldn't imagine the loss she was feeling, but she shouldn't be taking it out on clients either.

Babyluv - Yeah we know what we are allowed to say and not say about whereabouts, dates and times of deployments and that is fine. It is horrible though that if I said that I was upset that Andrew got screwed out of his leave that I am being a "problem" and my husband is told to control his wife. If I can't be controlled then he is not a good leader.... what??? Seriously??? Are we in the 50's... what decade is this? He will be punished for me stating my opinion and they are not allowed to do that, but they do. As far as what you said about the swings and bouncy seats, you have me thinking. lol I have two cradle swings so they can be put in the swing right away. I could cut out the expense of the bassinets and use the swings? I could get a co-sleeper and keep them right next to me at night and use the playard downstairs instead of the bassinets? Hmmm... I could save a good bit of money with either of these ideas. lol I have been looking into it ever since because I do want them close to me at night. Being that there will be two to take care of and I will likely be sore from a c-section, I think a co-sleeper might be good and easier to take care of them without getting up and down every two hours. What do you think?

Claudia - Cute belly as always, definately growing and starting to take it's true shape. No longer the little bubble but a true pg belly! :) I feel very huge to say the least. It bothers me that I simple can't do as much as I use to, even stand for a long period of time! I don't remember being like this before, but I guess age has a lot to do with it. I am not as fit as I use to be and this pg is proving it. lol Oh and when I talked to the shower girl, she said she feels bad that I keep taking care of things. Basically how I understand it now, it's not that she isn't taking care of things, it is that she doesn't want me to have to worry about any details. However, I prefer she talk to me about the details. I want to know that I will like the ideas, not to mention I have nothing to do on a daily basis so I need something to do. lol So when are you going to get some items ready for the registry? You have hit 20 weeks you know. lol I know you do things after the baby, but these are just gifts so we are not breaking any rules. hehee!

Katie - It's now the following week... where for art thou? ;)

Emerald - I am so happy for you and DH that the amnio went well. I know that is a big relief!!

Stephanie - I have to say that you made me smile when I read your comment! Thank you so much for that!!!

**Ladies, I will tell you ... with all of the experiences that my DH and I have been through, I definitely think it has made me a better nurse and person because of compassion. I know how it is to come to work and just go through the motions but after being a patient several times, it makes you realize how scared these patients are and need someone to just be kind to them to help them through a crisis! I think everyone in healthcare should be really sick one time and I guarantee they will treat their patients totally different!!!

Emerald - SO happy for you and the great results!! I know what you mean about not wanting anymore hurdles. I think we all have certain milestones we want to reach and think, "I'll feel better when I am X number of weeks." Then that week comes and we're STILL freaked out! I know that's how I am anyway. But one step at a time and I am so glad baby girl is doing well.

Angela - UGH!! I was not super happy with my last tech, though she ended up being ok in the end. At first she wasn't going to look for the genders (I was 17 1/2 weeks and she said that was too early...whatever), but she did and was super convinced A is a girl. She didn't spend as much time on B (no lady part shots), but basically just said she thought both were girls. Since we had such clear shots of B at my 15 week visit, we were just convinced we had two girls. However, I can't IMAGINE getting an ultrasound and NOT getting measurements! What's the point of the u/s then? At any rate, I'm sure Gabriella is awesome, but wow, I'm glad you are a better nurse than that!

Steph - My goal was always to put the twins straight in their crib(s) and sleep in the room next to them until they slept through the night, never actually have them in our room. However, since I am most likely looking at a c-section AND my mom is pretty much moving in when they are first home (the room I would have stayed in), all of those rooms being upstairs, we will most likely put them in the pack-n-play in our room, or moses baskets if we get them. I've always been the kind of mom that tries to have no expectations, you know? If they can stay in their own room then great, if not then we'll deal. If I can nurse then great, if not then my other two were just fine being bottle fed (in orphanages no less). Alex is probably the healthiest kid I've ever met actually. I think the co sleeper next to your bed sounds like a good plan because I've heard they are pretty safe. I say whatever works, do it!

AFM - I think grocery shopping is about to come to an end, especially with both kids. They were great, the problem is it's just getting too much to push around an extra 75 pounds of kids plus groceries! After about 30 min, I was SO ready to go home. Thankfully DH is all for doing the shopping (he was an asst manager of a grocery store when he was in high school), so I think he's going to take it over. I laid down a lot today, and when I monitored for contractions on my side, I had maybe two. Then I just felt a lot of tightening for the next couple of hours. The problem was, I couldn't tell if it was just pressure and the babies moving (not kicking, just moving), or actually braxton hicks. It's gone now, so I'm guessing pressure. At any rate, I'll keep an eye on it tomorrow, and if happens again then I will call my doctor.

Oh and I am a little nervous about my early glucose test wednesday. I've been more thirsty than usual and I almost passed out in my friend's car Friday morning. She gave me a nutrigrain type bar and blasted the air on me, then I was fine. I was running late so I had only had 1/2 a bowl of oatmeal before leaving the house, and this happened about 20 min later. I've put on about 23 pounds (which is what I should be doing compared to what I started at), but who knows? Diabetes runs very high in my family, but I've always been thin and in shape so it's not been an issue. Now that I haven't worked out in 5 months or so and I've put on weight...AHH!! Plus having twins increases the chances 2-3 times. So I guess we'll see!

Babyluv - Two ways... one is to go to the bottom of the subject box we type in and you will see Options.. next to that Upload Attachment. There you can browse from your computer. I prefer to use photobucket though. Upload a picture to photobucket or another photo uploading site and copy the IMG code and paste it in the subject box. I use photobucket to control the size of the photos or crop if need be so it is easier for me. :) Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice by the way. I was just talking to Andrew about the co-sleeper idea and how that would help from me having to get up and down and save on money too. He seems to like the idea so we shall see. I feel like everything is so new like i am doing this for the first time. It's been over 11 years since I had a baby and I never had complications or twins before. lol As far as the BH I know what you mean. I feel pressure too and I have to keep poking my belly to know if it's a contraction or not. I have been having them every day but they are just annoying, not painful. I have been thinking about calling my perinatologist (OB is on vaca) if it keeps up. I am sure they will just tell me to rest and drink a lot of water though.

Angela - I think you are right. Our experiences make us better or even worse people. You are a great person and even going through the motions as you say, I am sure you treat people with respect. Sometimes even a stranger needs a smile and that smile will change their day. I try to remember this even when I am not feeling up to par.

Hi everyone -

OMG - I have missed you all so much! Whew! that was the longest week ever i was thinking we would never get finished, but finally its all done and all the projects came out great, they just seemed like it was taking forever to finish. Now the whole house is all in varying shades of a nice neutral sand color, with each room being a different shade - a HUGE improvement over the colors that my dear color blind ( not really but seems that way) hubby had painted when he bought the house. So the 'to-do" list that I've been nagging him about for like 3 years! is done! And I also got him to rearrange our bedroom furniture too, and that looks much better. I was totally dragging ass a few days in and sort of kicking myself for not having done this sooner, painting when you're 6 months pg ?
Ummm, no not really fun at all. I didnt lift one thing, but Chris doesnt have the patience for all the detail trim work ( he gets sloppy drip marks) so here I am trying to make 20 year old baseboards look good again, and I said cant we replace them? and he thought it was a good idea too, but boy was it funny to hear him yelling his head off when he kept cutting them just a tiny bit wrong - he's 99% of the time the worlds most laid back guy, but when he gets in "repair guy" mode ( red faced and cussing up a storm) I swear I just have to hide my giggles. Finally though they are all in and cut properly. Oh, you guys the funniest thing, we have this large heavy elliptical machine, that had to go into the office ( no choice, this is a small house) so you know this kind of stuff only happens at like midnight when you're already exhausted and cranky, right? so i guess he forgot that he assembled this thing INSIDE the room, so of course when you go to move it, it doesnt fit, of course
so he takes the door off, and it still wont fit, not even close, so he's so frustrated and tired that he just INSISTS if he turns it just so, and ummm, no - I tell you girls it took everything I had to keep a straight face, but I knew if he saw me laughing he'd get pissed cause it was late and he was so determined to move this damn heavy thing - to make a long story short, he forces it through the door frame into the hall taking a few chunks out of the wall, and chipping the hallway too to realize that there is NO WAY this thing is going to fit in the office, unless he takes the whole thing apart in the hall and puts it back together inside the office, but by this point I'm not finding this amusing anymore because the more he forced it, the more touch up work he's making for me. Then he decides he's too tired to screw around with it anymore and wanted to leave it in the hallway - ummm, no since its blocking the bathroom door and I'm 6 months pregnant - jeez I cant go 1 hour without having to pee  But wait it gets better, so the next morning he goes to take it apart to find out that it needs a metric allen wrench and I -ummm, sort of threw them out last year because we have a good standard set- omg the look on his face was priceless, but he went off to Home Depot without saying a word about - ( he's a smart guy) And of course right in the middle of all the chaos the nursery furniture came, so now theres boxes all over the garage that we didnt even get a chance to open yet - sigh.

So thank God the only bad thing was that being on my feet all day every day for a week, my ankles, insteps all the way to my toes swelled up like you wouldnt believe! my toes looked like little sausages - attractive, yes? And I have discovered that if I dont eat often enough this baby turns into a raging kickboxer until I shove something down my throat right quick! and then she stops, so she's funny even before she's born ha ha. Chris still hasnt felt her kicking yet either!
he thinks she's stops kicking on purpose whenever he keeps his hands on my belly - and I think he's right - her timing is too perfect - the very second he puts his hands out to feel her, boy she stops right away. I told him he has to sneak up on her or something, oh and I tried Steph's cold soda can trick and nope, she wasnt having it. And then the moment he takes his hands off, there she goes! Too funny!

And before I forget, somewhere during the awfully long week of house chores Chris said that he really likes the name Savannah and it was like a light bulb went off in my head - so Ryan is out and her name is now Savannah Rose - and this is it because never mind the legal documants hee hee, we ordered the fabric name letters that hang on the wall over the crib, and at 8 letters in her name - even going through ebay was 10 dollars per letter! so thats settled now no more name changes! I read all morning to catch up with you guys and missed you all so much! I was so happy to read only good news too! and whoever said that they treasure all the wonderful girls on this thread and their support - I second that! You girls are so amazing and I feel lucky to have you all as friends. I didnt forget about belly pics and the registry either, I'll do both this afternoon after running some errands- gee after a week in the house, I'll actually get to put makeup on for the first time in a week yay! much love to you all - xoxoxoxo

I'll do personals separate so the site doesnt eat my post!

Franca - Sorry honey. I wasnt trying to upset you. I adjusted the list, do you have your EDD and your u/s appts yet? How are you feeling?

Steph - Oh, so Andrew wasnt the only poor guy to have his leave lost and ingnored then? I hope they frag that guy and good, making all those guys lose their leave isnt something he should be able to just get away with. What a jackass. And grrr! for Army politics within the wives, I mean does that woman really have nothing better to do with her time? Scanning FB, Myspace for comments? oh please! Ah, I do remember all the nonsense of life on post, I was actually happier when we had to move off post because my ex was MPI so it wasnt cool to live close by to guys he was investigating & arresting. I feel for you on that, its like a 24hr drama fest sometimes, isnt it? I dont get along with those types of females and i'm sure that you have zero tolerance for the BS also. I'm sorry that that it just never ends. I'm glad to hear that your shower is moving along though and yay for getting the cake that you want, such a small thing to ask for I think  but WTH is going on with your dad's wife for the love of? Does she not get that discontinued means "there are no more"? As in grab it now before its gone? So she has yet to buy anything? Umm, what is she thinking? and you offered her a coupon? grrrr some people have no clue! I hope that you dont end up having to settle for different dressers, I know that will bug you to no end, it would bug me too, please tell me that at the very least she picked up the second crib?
Aww, how cool that you can tell which baby is kicking you! I think that would be so neat, they have their own personalities already twin mama. I have a feeling that Savannah will be a little mischeivious for some reason, and I was giggling the other day thinking how funny it is that she's not even here yet and is already running the house! as in telling me when I have to eat, kicking when I want to sleep, and driving her daddy to frustration about not kicking so he can feel her
I wonder what we'll all be in for soon? hee heee - xoxo

Angela - I knew that Gabriella's u/s would be completely fine, but now mama can relax a bit more. It really sounds like you are in good hands and i can understand how hard it would be to not think of Ashley at this time, but they're keeping a real close watch on you this time, even though its hard to make all those appts, each one gives you a greater peace of mind, so well worth it. I was lucky and the smell of paint doesnt bother me, and getting a freshly painted house made it something to look forward to. How are you feeling?

Babyluv - Between you and Steph getting the braxton hicks contractions you all make me nervous, even though its normal to have, I hope that you dont let them scare you at all, I'm wondering if its more common with twins? I havent had any, and I thought I would with the week I've just had. Yippeee for your DH being home with you and the kids! I'll bet your GTT goes without a hitch tomorrw, but I hear you girl, i'm not looking frward to mine next tues either. And yes, we all are so much more appreciative of being pregnant fianlly after all we went through to get here. Yay for your mom being able to help you out, that must mean so much to you. How are you feeling?

Hazel - How did your GTT go? I know you said that you'll be a busy girl, but let us know how you're doing. I wonder how far you've gotten with your nursery already? How is your dad doing? Is Zorba acting like he/she is playing in the World Cup? - hee hee - miss you! xoxo - need pics please!

Natasha - Yippeee for no more PIO shots! I was so happy when I could finally stop mine, both my hips were full of lumps and boy were they sore! I doubt that your OB will allow you to lift more than your own body weight either, its just too must risk and it took us all too long to get pg in the first place! I've got my fingers crossed that you can switch to a different job while you're expecting. When will you find out?

Gi - Oooh, your buggy sounds awesome! And Jason sounds like my Chris acting like a kid in the candy store too! Enjoy every moment of it! it was actually Chris who found the right wall letters for the nursery, guess they are as excited as we are! Is Kayla playing soccer while you're trying to sleep? How is your Mam doing? bet she's got loads of adorable little outfits stockpiled and waiting for her! Too sweet! Hi to your Mam

Claudia - Yep, I have to tell you again how you have the cutest bump in the world, and you still look so slender, lucky girl. How are you doing being out in the heat every day for your swim team? And hooray for hitting the 20 weeks mark! I'm with you girl, my heels feel sore by the end of the afternoon each day, I've been living in really padded slippers, it helps a bit, maybe some Crocs flip flops for by the pool? They're pretty thick and springy. And now you have the headaches too? I had them every day for like 2 weeks straight! it was driving me crazy, then they stopped just as quickly as they started just like the OB said, as soon as your hormones level out and she was right. I hope they go away soon for you! - xoxo

Sara - Awww honey your DD sounds too adorable! I think she will be the best little Mama's helper! How are you feeling?

Emerald - Yiiipppeeeee!!! I was so thrilled to read your amnio results! You must be so relieved! And now that you know for sure that everything is fine with your little girl now you can start to relax and enjoy this special time - so happy for you! Do you have any names in mind yet?

I'll post a belly later when I get back from my errands - much love to you all! - xoxoxo

Katie - glad you are back! OMGoodness, your story about the machine was hysterical!!! So frustrating going through it in the end I'm sure, but great reading for us! Thanks for the laugh and so glad it's DONE!

Steph - I hate having stuff clutter my house, which is why I am trying to combine things as much as possible. There is a great book called, "Ready or Not, Here They Come" about having twins. She gives a lot of good buying tips in the beginning...what you need, what you don't etc. I figure we can always buy more later if we need to.

AFM - So after having those BH contractions yesterday, I had the most HORRID dream last night that we lost the twins right at the point I'm at now. It was so real that when I woke up, I was in complete shock that I was still pregnant. I just started sobbing in bed and couldn't stop. I decided I was calling my OB no matter what this morning! So I did, hoping to get an appt this afternoon (dentist in the am), but he wanted me to come in right away, skip the dentist. So I did. All looks good, cervix closed and not effaced, but he wants me to not lift, grocery shop, laundry, etc for the next few days. If I end up with more than six in a hour, he's sending me for a sonogram to measure my cervical length (which they are doing next week at my high risk appt, but this is in case anything happens sooner). At any rate, so glad I went in just for peace of mind. My OB is great...doesn't want to take chances and made sure to tell me to come in anytime I needed.

Side note: I was just watching the Colbert Report and Steve Carrell was the guest. The interview was hysterical! I loved those guys when they were on the Daily Show and am so happy they've been able to branch out.

Katie - Wow, you had a fun filled week didn't you? lol At least everyting is done and the way you want it and hopefully less stressful from now on. Sorry that Chris keeps missing here kick. Seems she is so sneaky sneaky! lol I can't believe the soda can trick didn't work. It usually does, but wait.. the farther along you get the more fun that trick will be because she will want to move from one side of your belly to the other. It's so funny to watch. lol By the way, Savannah is a pretty name and glad you both have come to a final FINAL decision. :D It's hilarious how long it takes to decide on a name and then decide on one just to change it again. Thinking about all the little quirks you and Chris have together makes me visualize what an interesting and fun family you will be once little Savannah is finally here. Yes, the women around here are so full of it I just stay away. lol I am a social person and I love to get out and do things, but since becoming and Army wife I just haven't been able to trust anyone enough therefore keep to myself. Even the shower girl, I have known her since I moved here almost 3 years ago but we have hardly talked this entire time. We are neighbors and we only just stated to talk when she decided to throw me a shower and even since then hasn't been often. lol As far as Andrew's leave, he was actually the only soldier in the whole company that was screwed out of his leave. See, the difference being that his leave was use or lose and everyone else's leave can be not approved but they don't lose it. They can use it later, Andrew can't. His days were administrative leave that he got for being deployed as often and for as long as he was. Andrew got 60 days, if anyone else qualified, the most I heard anyone got was 5 days. Gives you a clue on how often Andrew has been gone! This stretch has been the longest he's been here, thankfully too because of the twins! :) Now as far as dad's wife, luckily I kept searching online and Walmart JUST picked up the dressers. WHEW! Pure luck because they are $10 cheaper and they can be shipped to the store for free which saves her about $250 or more in shipping for all three furniture items. She was happy and decided to buy them... or so she said. They are all still on the registry and I haven't gotten that phone call saying when I should expect them. However, she promised to buy them this week since it is a pay week and not a lot is coming out in bills. So lets see what happens by Friday. OH and get this.. my ex (the one that refused to pay child support to the point he rather live in a jail cell than pay and has recently given up his rights to support his biological child) has looked at my registry and offered to buy my crib and a few other smaller items. What?? How odd is that? Makes no sense to me.

Babyluv - You have a god point. I hate and simply can't stand clutter! People come over and think my house looks so big when they have the same exact house. The difference being that I don't fill the house with a bunch of stuff. If things start to get too cluttered, it is sold, given away or thrown away. lol So you made me start thinking about not just saving money but saving space. I keep picturing the empty spaces we have made to prepare for these baby items and how things would fit and look. I can't wait to go shopping now to look at stuff. lol You are right, if I need more I can always buy more later. Being a over planner I need to find that happy medium. :)

AFM - I am finally starting to feel a little more calm as far as the baby shopping goes. I should have the rest of the furniture by next week or so and we are buying the 10 piece beddings on payday and will finally have the nursery decorated. That will be so nice to put all the clothes away. Right now everything is in piles on the floor. Neat piles of course, organised even. lol Put no dressers to put the sleepers and onesies in and not enough hangers to hang the res up. Though I did just get 60 hangers so I am hoping that is enough! I am sure I will need more no matter what because I plan on buying some brand new outfits and I am sure so are other friends and family. Did I mention we got the car seats in? They have come a long way in 11 years. lol So much easier to use (once I fifgured it out) and so cute! We didn't think both car seats would fit in the back of the car with Alex back there too. Good thing I don't have a chubby kid, she actually fits pretty well back there with a little room to grow. We were thinking about adding a modified third row seat, but we have time before we will need that so YAY! One less thing to worry about that will cost a crap load! Oh, and everyone knows about the issues we have had with Andrew's unit and his severe PTSD. He is still seeing a therapist and has been referred medication. He doesn't know what it is yet, he has to go to a building here on post to find out what they are recommending he try. We also came up with a plan. By next July if we still happen to be here and most especially if he is still in this unit, the plan is to reenlist for duty station of choice. We will choose to go back to Fort Carson which is CO Springs, CO. That isn't where I grew up, but it is where Alex grew up and where her and I consider home and it's where Andrew and I met and married. We know how things are ran there and are positive that it will be exactly what we need. He especially is in need of a place with more and better soldier support and a beautiful atmosphere. So no matter what happens here, we just have to put up with it for one more year. Once the twins are here I am sure it will go plenty fast! :)
