Hi Everyone, Just got back from final lining check for FET next Tuesday bad news not thick enough (5.75) so they canceled my cycle :( - I feel so dejected when is it going to be my time???? I just don't understand why??? I know it is stupid to be upset but I just feel so bad right now all the miscarriages and now a cancellation? UGH - why why why does someone not want me to be pregnant??? I am postponed till March 18th.... I know it could be SOOOO MUCH worse but I just thought this is it I will be pregnant & have my "take home" baby.....

ET done tody. Went smooth. Transferred 2 embryos. 1 grade 4ab and 1 grade 3aa.
Should be freezing some tomorrow . Now the 2ww begins :(

Quick question, the dr. Told us to go about our daysnas usual (no bed rest). She just said to not lift anything heavy like 10 pounds and no working out. Wife is planning to go back to work tomorrow. This should be ok, right?

Katie, that sucks.. isn't there a chance it could thicken between now and Tuesday - that is 5 days away. Seems you could do something to thicken it in that time period... you aren't too far away.

nwquiz.... my insurance is covering my b/w and u/s leading up to IUI, so as long as its coded the same it would be covered. There is no IVF clinic locally - about 2 hours away.. so my same RE would have to do my monitoring until ER I assume. Just thought it might work... who knows. I guess I'll check into it.

LYD that's awesome about 11 eggs! Yay!

Rio... love the doggie pic..

HopeThisWorks: They don't put you on bedrest at my clinic either. I got pregnant both times (IVF ended MC, FET went on to a healthy little boy). I work in an office and my FET was on a Friday anyway. Therefore, I didn't really do much anyway. However, I also didn't lay in bed I just went on as usual. Maybe no nookie though

Katie - So sorry you were cancelled!! I know it sucks!

Carol - I have researched my clinics fees that my INS was billed and the ivf including all s&s visits was $8,300. this did not include the beta, meds, or freezing fees (when there were some that made it to freeze).

Leora - I was discussing injection times with my nurse. She said any time between 6 and 10 to choose a time. Then try to always stay within an hour of that time. Do not choose 7:00, next day do 7:30, next 8, next 8:45, next 7:30, like some people have been known to do (me). Next time I am going to choose 9:00 and I am sticking as close to it as possible!!!

So if INS approves I start Lupron on 2/21. Then stop pill on 2/27, get bleed (as my RE says lol), then start Gonal F + Menopur on 3/5. They claim ER should be appx 3/16 if all goes well!

So I am feeling a bit better after letting it sink in for a while - I guess the doctor is just doing what is best for me and to give me the best outcome having suffered so many losses he doesn't want to take any chances -

Mamaboo - I just read your post & I AM SO HAPPY! I forgot you did a IVF with an early miscarriage (like me) and then did a FET with a wonderful outcome! So now I am feeling better about my cancel & looking forward to my March FET - Thanks!

Lauren - I think we put so much weight on these dates because it represents a start or a finish or when our babies are home etc... so it is such a let down when they get changed, postponed or cancelled but what is really happening is our RE's are protecting our poor little hearts from disappointment and giving us the best chances for a positive outcome.

CJ - Yeah I thought the same thing but my lining is 5.75 & they want it to be as close to 8 or more as humanly possible so they said it will not get that thick in that short amount of time. They think with my last MC I shed so much (I bled for 3 weeks) that it was very thin to start then I had another period two weeks before this and thinned it further so it just didn't have enough time to thicken. :-(

LYD - Congrats on the great ER 11 eggs is TERRIFIC!

HopethisworksM - Don't stress over the 2ww wait just visualize your wife's pregnancy & imagine all the wonderful times ahead with your new bouncing bundle of joy. I did bedrest the first IVF for 3 days and took it really easy for a while after that and I got a BFP with a 6 week MC. This time with a FET (Frozen Egg Transfer) I was planning on doing a 2 maybe a three day bedrest...it is purely up to you what you do...if your wife has a desk job or a job where she is not lifting or whatever I think it is fine - just tell her to take it easy & take a break when she needs it - good luck! I am praying for your BFP!

Kat - So sorry about your pup...:-(

NW - Don't even get me started on the insurance problem in the US - we not only pay cash for everything we also pay for our insurance ourselves (we own our own company) we pay over $600 a month for the three of us!!!!!!!!! UGH! '

As far as bed rest or no bed rest is concerned this is what I have been told...it is purely a personal decision, I think the recommendation is to take it easy right after transfer (the day of) but then each additional day is your decision and what works for you. The RE explained to me that your uterus is like two pieces of bread with jelly in-between them, that is why they ultrasound guide the embies on day of transfer because where they put them they will stay. So you cannot, sneeze, cough, poo or giggle them out they are stuck!

As for everyone else - praying for your BFP's sooner rather than later! Then we can all meet in Hawaii for one huge baby shower! And to all the girls with BFP's bring the babies for some fun in the sun! (I know a pipe dream right but as I am looking at the 7 feet of snow in the yard I kinda get giddy for sun & a beach)

Hope(Ashley) and Amanda79: Beta tomorrow!! Praying for you both!!Image

Leora: Yippee!! See--those follies are growing terrifically! Image

Anton: Thanks for understanding...I would have given them a piece of my mind IF I COULD HAVE SPOKEN WITH A LIVE PERSON. Sheesh. Really? Nobody to answer a phone? At least my local nurse was able to get through and get my stuff sent.

Nwquiz: Yeah for AF arrival!!! Good luck tomorrow with SnS...let the stimming begin!

Kat: Oh, Kat. I am so very sorry. That is absolutely horrible. I will say a prayer for you.
Image

Lauren: So glad you have a plan...and something different sounds like a winner! Sounds almost identical to my plan and I am “planning” on one BFP! I should be getting my BFP right around your ER!!

Nat&Alex: Welcome!!! Congratulations on FET. SD answered your question about POASing (peeing on a stick).

Sunshine: Rest up...do what makes you feel the best and not guilty. I did strick 2 days bedrest the first cycle then new RE said no need. Current RE says 2 days of bedrest which I plan on adhering to. But, no research to support it. Just do what makes you feel relaxed and happy...except (as Rio mentioned) no sex. Stick embies stick!!!

Carol: Their number is 877-523--only kidding! As if you could really TALK to someone. Sheesh. I am going to go back to the lab associated with my last clinic. I was just embarrassed about being recognized, but they are incredibly efficient (and have never bruised me once). I am hoping a couple of those eggs are mature and you won’t need any IVF...but check with the finance person at your clinic! See if IVF is “do-able”! Not sounding cheap at all...practical and realistic. My insurance did cover bloodwork and u/s for my IUIs after my coverage was maxed out. I didn’t call the check why because I was afraid maybe it was an error. LOL. Best of luck!Image

Lyd: Great retrieval!! Let us know fertilization report...in meantime take it easy.Image

SD:Image

Wannabeamum: Yes, normal for me too--feeling uncomfortable, twitches, etc. Those ovaries are overworked and you can feel it! All for a great cause however.

Katie: So sorry!ImageDo they know why? Did they say what they will do differently next time so that all will be well? When is next time? You will get your little embies to come home soon.

HopeThisWorksM: Congratulations!! Yes, as said to Sunshine, each RE is different, but truth is no firm research to suggest that strict bedrest is necessary. But definitely taking it easy is in order!

AFM: FINALLY got all my labs to Cali....don't know why that was so difficult. My nurse called them this morning and they couldn't find any record of me in their system!?!? :? They quized her if she was sure I really went. But she finally got a supervisor to call her back and send the report. So!! I have started my Lupron! Will stop bcp on Sunday (or Monday?) and then stim day 2 after AF shows her evil self. I am a little confused because I thought I was going to stop on Saturday so being pushed up a day means stopping on Sunday, but she said Monday on the phone. I will have to clarify. I go to see acupuncturist tomorrow so that will really help me get into a good zone for stimming. California here I come!!

Hey all . .

haven't posted in a while ... so much has happened with y'all!

Kat . . . so sorry about your fur baby . . . :(

Katie & Tiger . . . BFN's suck . . . I had one on my first cycle and was devastated . . . but we tried again and my daughter is now sleeping down the hall . . . take the time to mourn and be pissed . . . and then get back on that horse :D

Sunshine: my clinin recommends 3 days . . . I could never POAS ever again! I got burned on my first IVF and vowed to never do it again . . . I like being PUPO for as long as possible =)

Lyd: Baby dust! Good luck =) and good luck to all those with betas coming up . . . it's an awful long 2ww!

As for me, my cycle is a go! The cyst is still there, but my estrogen levels are okay and my RE thinks the cyst is inactive and small enough to proceed . . . I have a tentative ER date of 2.24 and the a ET on 2.27 probably . . . same protocol as last time . . . menopur, follistim, and omnitrope ( a growth hormone) with assisted hatching . . . probably will transfer 4 embies (we're open to reduction) . . . did someone mention that they have a hydrosalpinx? I have one as well . . .

Good luck everyone =)

sunshine 12 - thanks for thinking of me! It's nice to know that I'm not alone in obsessing about things like follicle growth!

Anton - hi! SnS was great! I'm back on track! What are you up to in your cycle? When do you start your meds?

Kerri - can I ask where you are located? The reason I ask is because you called it Orgalutran instead of Ganirelix. I take Orgalutran also! That's usually how it's marketed outside the USA. I started mine yesterday. My docs have me start when my lead follicle is bigger than 12mm.

nwquiz - YAYAYAYA! AF! woohoo! I hope your SnS was great and you are starting your stims!

Kat - I'm so so so sorry about your dog. I never understood the relationship between people and their pets (because I never had one). About 3 years ago, my husband finally convinced me to let him adopt a puppy. That puppy has grown into a fantastic dog and he is a full member of our family. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Lou - you are PREGNANT! No sh*t you got such a good HPT! You can stop now! :D

Lauren - I'm so glad that your doctor will fight with the insurance with you. You DO deserve another cycle. I'm curious about switching to Lupron from antagonist -- why were you antagonist to begin with? My doctor explained that I'm on antagonist cycles because my PCO makes me more high risk to OHSS - but I've never OHSSed, so I'm wondering if next time I should talk about switching to Lurpon

Carol - have fun DTD! Have a *fun* weekend!

SD - thanks for your support - I hope there are a lot of good ones in there!

Ashley - fingers crossed sooooo tight for you today! Let us know!

Samantha - my follies are all about 15mm and I'm REALLY feeling it! I feel achy and uncomfortably 'full'. I feel it most when walking around (less when sitting/lying down). That's normal. If it hurts alot - call your doctor

LYD - congrats! As always - how many to transfer and what to freeze is the hardest part of this process... I hope you can make some decisions that work for you and DH.

Katie - THAT SUCKS! Im' so sorry. You were so excited for your FET.... March 18 is the new projected FET date or when you start the meds again? Do you stop your estrogen and get a period and start again, or just continue and hope the lining builds up more?

Hope this works M - congrats on being PUPO! (pregnant until proven otherwise) When is your beta? After my ETs, I took the day off and hung out on the couch watching TV, but went back to work the next day (simple office work).

Mamaboo- Welcome! Are you joining us here? I notice in your signature that you are planning a FET for March. Good luck!

Lauren (again!) - I know that a little time difference in injections probably doesn't matter but I have SOOO little control over these things, I obsess and micromanage. I've been taking mine at exactly 3pm everyday!

nat&alex- welcome! How soon you can do a HPT depends on how many "days past ovulation" you are (dpo). Your day of ovulation is the day of 'conception' which is tricky to calculate with FETs. If your embryos were 3 days, your FET day is 3dpo. If the embryos were 5 days, the FET was 5dpo. A HPT is really accurate only at about 14-16dpo.... but you can start as soon as you'd like! I always get negative at 10dpo, but when I'm pregnant I get a positive at 12dpo. Good luck! (ps - give me more details so I can add you to the list! What day was your FET? What day is your beta blood test?)

Margi - FINALLY! Thank goodness! Congrats on starting Lupron!

deftonesmo -my doctor thought a hydrosalpinx might explain all my failed cycles (despite my young age and high quality embryos), but I had a HSG and I'm all clear. I'm glad to hear the cyst has been deemed okay and you can start! hurray!

Kynlee - it so exciting that you are getting closer to your cycle! I'm so impressed that you are throwing your niece's baby shower... I avoid baby showers at all costs now. You are a really good auntie!

AFM - nothing new.... I'm continuing 3 Menopur and 1 Orgalutran (Ganirelix) and going back on Sunday. I think I'll probably trigger Sunday or Monday (hopefully!). For now, my ovaries are REALLY aching. I'm ready to get these eggies out of me!

I'm be obsessively checking for updates from our beta girls, Amanda and Ashley --- good luck!

Nqwiz-I hear you! when chasing a dream everything else is not a priority...Good start with your meds! :)

Sweetpea-Never thought babies would cost that much...before they where worn!! :) How was the antagonist protocol cycle for you? is the one I am going to use for this cycle...I am realy sorry about your dog!! that is one of the worst losses! :( iam sending ((hugs)) to you and my sympathy....

Lou-Glad you are doing well you pregnant woman! :D ...are you going to ask for the sex of the baby when time comes? or you are one of those people that dont want to know until birth?...

Lauren-Good thing that you found out soon enough! Ouao! 4!!!! you woman are nuts!! I wish you a big BFP!!!

Riogirl-i've tried placing something from photobucket! i hope it worked!... :) thanks for the info!

LYD10it sounds great! i wish you a great fertility report too!!! you are soon to be a PUPO!

Katieb-I am really sorry!! this really sucks! i know! this road aint easymy friend for none of us on this board :( Don't loose faith! next time your baby is goiong home with you! ((hugs))

Hopethisworksm-Welcome on board! I believe 2 days resting will be fine. Like others said, as long as she takes it easy, not weight lifting and jumping up & down then she will be fine. is really up to her! there is no manual for this :) tell her to take it easy...after all, she is a PUPO! :D

Nat&alex-Welcome on board! congrats on FET! :D

Margi-Finally!!! good news from that Lab of yours! :) By now, those lab test would have been to Cyprus!!!

Deftonesmo-So things are moving for you :) what is with you ladies and "4"!!!! I know you want you want to get pregnant really bad but you need to be realistic too! :) What if 4 of them catch? or 3 of themm catch? what will you do then? this might be a risk for your life and your babies life too. A friend of mine transfered 3 embies and all 3 of them implanted. the doctor told them that she was in a very dangerous situation extremely serious for her life and her babies. so they had to "remove" 1 so that she and the other 2 embies make it. now they have 2 beautifull girls . they told us that this was the worse decision ever! imagine not being able to have children and suddently you are forced to end the life of one. even though on my 3rd IVF I did placed 3 embies and end up with a BFN. i was too excited in getting pregnant that I didnt think things with more reason. after that we decided never to transfer more than 2 again. we will transfer 2 and pray that those 2 win the race. if its going to happen it will happen even with just one. check out Lou!

Kynlee-Have fun at the baby shower and congratulations on being a Godmother!! this is trully a blessing! :D I am a Godmother of 2boys and 1girl. My DH is a Godfather of 1boy and we are going to be Godparents for the 5th time on the 25th of June in London, UK for a baby girl of my DH cousin daughter....also last night our best man announced us that he wants my DH to be the Godfather of his unborn child (the baby is born on the 13th April) So that makes us officially Godparents of the year...more like the decade!! we feel so blessed having baptised this 6 in total children and we spoiling them like hell!!! now we are eager to have our own to spoil!! :D

baby dust to all and I wish only BFP from now on on this board!!!!!
