Hi marnie
welcome to the thread as you can see already everyones pretty friendly and willing to answer any questions you have so welcome and good luck with the search for the right specialist I'm also from brissy so i couldn't suggest anyone to you although i have heard QFG sydney is meant to have great success rates.no.1 i think.

Hi guys no sign here yet either way it's really hard to tell seeing it was a non stimmed cycle i figure the couple of little things that maybe something are probably the progesterone i guess i'll have to wait and see. I'm actually going to be naughty and do the wicked HPT in a day or two to hopefully save me a 2 and a half hour drive mind you i would certainly not mind the drive if the HPT comes up positive to check out my beta

hey Cheeky did you need to go back for a second beta to see how your numbers are doubleing up.

Hey em
yeah the whole giving birth naturally is quite nerve racking and i'm afraid the stress of that doesn't go away have you been to any antenatal classes yet wait till you see the births they show you ooooohhhhhh mmmmmyyyyy im glad we went reasonably early so we could get over the images . Not to worry you of course i'm sure you'll be fine you just need to think of the end result and holding those little babes

keep in touch catch up later

Hi Cheeky
sounds like your doing well and your numbers sound great nice and strong. As for me i told you how I can't resist those nasty HPT well I've done one and as expected it's not to be this time. I'm actually a bit teed off with the doc I think he should have rang me with the results of the thawing before I came all the way in .I wouldn't have gone through with it knowing how badly they had faired. Anyway not to worry now.

Have you got any morning sickness yet it'll be one time your actually glad to be feeling ill anyway best go

Catch you later and take it easy

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hear your negative news Jomae. When do you go again? Do you have any more frozen babies? Or are you back to a fresh cycle?

Cheeky - Your beta is through the roof! Hmmm more than one???? We got married in Hamilton (2003). Nice city.

I am suprised to hear that you don't have the same doctor for all your procedures in Melbourne. I had my doc for everything. He even did my follie tracking scans in his office himself! And now he is my obstetrician, so he will delivering the babies he helped create! I think having one doctor who knows you as an individual (rather than an egg farm, or embryo receptical) is vital to your sucess!

Have a good weekend,

Em

Hello Cheeky and Em
Thanks Guys it just wasn't meant to be this time as for whats next we will go back we'd like to think Jay will have a little brother or sister and hopefully they won't differ to much in age but as for when we can do the next cycle it will all depend on when we can get the money together again especially seeing we need to start over.

Any way how are you guys going Em i can't remember if youv'e already mentioned or not but are you still working . Hey cheeky have you told your family and friends the good news yet

Take care JOMAEXXXX

he everyone

jomea, i am so so sorry this time didnt work for you, hate to say theres always next time, when we want it so bad THIS time....

i know all abt the money,we had to pay bills with our last ""baby"" money, so need to save up more, god how ridiculous, saving for a baby fund when you can get a few grand for popping one out from the nice Mr Howard....

i got a visit from AF today so as for me we are now tracking my nat cycle and re-analysing DH in hope to do a iui, i feel like my fingers are permanantly crossed, in fact only thing thats not crossed is my legs, hahaha

Cheeky, when do we here if there are twinns?????

hope everyone is well and not too stressed this month

who was it saying about a ceaser, i had a ceaser with my boy 12 years ago, if i had it all over again i would deffinatly be arguing, kicking and screaming for the chance of a nat birth, i felt so cheated from being able to deliver my baby in they way i feel god intended, i know that it has to be a cesar sometimes to save mum or bub, but it never felt natural, and as far as being able get around, it takes weeks before you can drag you self up to even feed, for me it was so disheartening and a horror of an experience, i will give anything i could to go natural delivery next time.

cheers ladies,
keekee
me; 1st cycle jan 05, 4 follies, 1 fresh transfer 1 FT

Hi Girls,

Jo - I'm officially on my first week of 3 days this week! I work Mon, Wed and Fri. I have been tired but coping with work up until now but yesterday my feet and ankles were so swollen by lunchtime, I reaslised that I need to slow down a bit. It sucks having to scrape together the money for IVF isn't it? My DH has a great job, but with a mortgage and 2 car loans, its tight for us. We remortgaged our house to pay for last years tmt and now that we have the twins on the way and will go down to 1 income, we are a little worried, but wouldn't change anything. I see it as it was our time to get lucky and we will have to make the best of it.

Does make me angry when I see 16 yr old's fall pregnant so easily just for the shopping spree they get when the baby bonus comes in and then live on MY taxes!!!!!!GGRRRrrrrr!!!! Especially when I know that the chances are that the children produced will also grow up to be on the welfair cycle as its all they know.....And then people like us have to pay thousands to get pregnant to have a baby that will be so loved and supported.

Sorry, bit of a rant. Watching daytime TV does that to me. I need a hobby.

KeeKee - Interesting what you say about Caesar's. I am still undecided which path is best, so I value your opinion. I have an obs appointment this arvo and plan to raise the issue then. I feel that i could go into labour any time fom now on (I have two friends that went at 26 weeks with twins...its got me scared!) and as the control freak that I am, I need to have a plan.

Simon - Hello. Um. Tell us your story. I'm an Aussie and my DH is a kiwi. We live in Brisbane. We were ttc for 5 years and had 3 failed IUI's before getting lucky with twins on our first IVF. I'm now 24 weeks! Are you and your partner undergoing tmt now?

Everyone else, hope you are all well. Look out for Ange65 on the feburary thread. She was an active user of this thread last year when we cycled together. She has just started her 2ww and will test on 2nd April. I wish her the best of luck!

hi Em
good on you for slowing down you should reeeaaaaaally start feeling pregnant soon if you don't already with twins so its good your taking it a bit easier. Have you put on much weight yet it always made me worry how much i was putting on and how i would get it off. refering to your conversation with KeeKee i ask if you were having a ceasar as i thought thats what the doctors like you to do with twins and seeing alot of women end up having a ceasar after the first twin is born due to time restrictions for the 2nd with stress. I had a ceasar and to be honest it wasn't that bad again with two it maybe another story I guess it depends if Dh or someone else can give you a hand for a few weeks and this may be just me and sound funny but it does feel like you've missed something by not having them naturally but as they say if its necessary then it's necessary. I had been labouring for 14 hours and only dilated 1cm and looking like no change would happen so i was ready for them to crack me open my words exactly if i remember correctly hows the babies room going are you getting organized you should certainly be thinking about it real soon if you haven't already and your labour bag mine sat by the door for what seemed like for ever. Sorry i'm probably starting to stress you . Anyway hope your feeling ok and GET THOSE FEET UP.

Hi Cheeky and yakking yet.

Hello every one else hope your all enjoying the heat.

Welcome Simon

Hi guys,

Simon - Hi! Well your expertise will be more than welcome here! I'm a radiographer, so the anatomy and physiology of the human body is my field but I was completely stumped when it came to understanding the cellular side of things. What a fascinating, fulfulling job getting little babies ready for their new home! I have 9 frosties in the freezer and I often wonder about them. Once I have these two, we may consider trying again with the frosties, but I would be terrified of having twins again!

Jomae - I have put on 10 kilos (I think). Its difficult to judge as I put on weight with the IVF drugs and then lost 4 kilos but was still not down to my pre-IVF weight when I knew I was pregnant. My doc said I was about the size of a 30 week singleton pregnancy...I don't know if thats good or bad. I guess at 24 weeks with twins its ok. I have heard that 75% of twins have caesars, and if thats what they think is best for me then I am happy to go that way. I have read that there is a higher risk that the cord will be around the babies necks (less room) and so I'm worried that cerebral palsy may be an issue in a natural delivery. haven't packed a labour bag but know that I need to start thinking about it.

Hope you are all well,
Em
