Chris,
Did we lose a few eggies along the way? How is everyone doing? Start Lupron on Friday-little nervous about the shots- Summer, thanks for the advice on numbing cream- I got it- it's in the big bag w/the rest of the "goodies" if you know what I mean. Been busy working & getting house ready. I'm losing my brother full time this week. He's got another job so dh is going to be so excited to pick up where he left off. Brother promised he'll be back on the weekends to finish though. Just want to get my ducks in a row- since I know I'll be with child soon. I mean I KNOW!!! How's everything across the pond? Come back eggies I miss you!!!

chriss - hope the poison ivy clears up soon! So jealous that you can garden in a tank top -- It is still cool here. I was gardening over the weekend, in long sleeves!...And, as soon as we finished the rain came (which was a good thing), followed by hail...not such a good thing! But, everything seemed to survive just fine...Unfortunately, that will be typical weather for us for about the next month...Two years ago, we had such a bad hailstorm, that afterwards my car was considered a total loss -- I've got my fingers crossed that we don't have another storm like that!
sabi -- good luck with starting your shots on Friday!! I will be thinking about you. I am sure if you go on youtube and look up lupron shots, you will find a few videos that might put your mind at ease. I did that when I had to do the shots the first time. Or even just google lupron shot video and you'll find some to see how everything works. Once you get over the initial shock of the needle going in, you'll see it gets easier - And always keep in mind that it is all in preparation for b-a-b-y....
Best of luck as well with finishing up all of your home projects. Sounds like you have major work going on there!! Nice that you have had your brother to help you out!
gigi - hope you are having a wonderful cruise with your mom.
poohgirl - you must be getting started pretty soon, right?
jenB, kelly, carolyn - how's things?
I am doing well, getting spring cleaning done, and go for my next appt on Thursday.
Hi to anyone I might have missed, and enjoy the rest of your week!
xx summer
Hi ladies - I posted a while back to introduce myself, but then never posted again! Somewhat of a lurker lately though. I'm battling with the WAITING. I'm finishing up my prep cycle now, and I've been looking forward to my donor (half sis) getting her day 3 tests mid/end June so we can get started. Yesterday at my last ultrasound for prep cycle, RE found a large polyp in my uterus and said I needed a hysteroscopy. Fine, whatever. Not happy about it, but whatever has to be done. Then the surgical center calls me to schedule the procedure and the FIRST available appointment is not until middle July - 2 months from now. I'm having a very hard time accepting this right now - this has been a long journey and I've been waiting so long.
Does anyonw know how long you can cycle (transfer) after a hysteroscopy? Has anyone else had experience with similar situation? RE said it may have been a result of the hormones.....
Looking forward to getting to know you ladies.

JDC,
I had a hysteroscopy and was able to cycle right away. Maybe it depends on what they find?? Not so sure. I know that 2 months seems like forever, but I'm learning that I have no control over the timing of any of this. Hope it goes very quickly fr you. And welcome back to the thread. It's been a little slow lately, but it should pick up. Stick with us.
PS Why does it seems like everything on television, even the commercials are about pregnancy???
chriss - that is encouraging that you were able to cycle right away. I'm just so frustrated because my siste is unavailable for a certain time period and it looks like everything would line up for then. I will reach the acceptance stage eventually....I did with everything else!
EVERYTHING in the world is about pregnancy!!! Especially wiwth all the multiples shows on tv now. Our time will come!

hi all--still around Sabi how did your first shot go--not too bad is it I have my doctor appointment Monday so I should be given the go ahead to start Lupron then--they are just waiting to make sure my donor STD testing is back before we start.
I forgot who asked but I was able to cycle right after my hysteroscopy, I had my RE do it since she could do it right away instead of going through my doctor, and she was able to do it at her clinic--a little uncomfortable during but I felt fine after---they had to get some retained placenta from my D&C--my doc whould have done it with me going under so that may be the difference. I am not sure your situation though so it might not be as easy as I made it just sound.
I am hoping now that this process will speed up a little I HATE to wait

Pooh,
I missed you! What's up? You are really right behind me. I hated the shot. dh viewed videos on u-tube prior (Summer had suggested it), & still hurt. I think he jammed it in to fast. Numbing cream tonight sister! He felt real bad. I cried-I think it's just all hitting me at once. Very emotional these days-excitement & a little fear.
We are looking for retrieval around 6/6-6/10. I'm on the baby count down. Trying to get this house in order. Busy with the end of the school year. Keeping my mind occupied so it's not IVF 24/7. Keep us posted with the upcomings...
Hi ladies! Enjoying your weekend?
Carolyn- you are not working this weekend are you?

Sabi, I didn't know that you are a teacher also... or did I know that? I teach first grade how bout you? It's been tough cycling when working, but I didn't have the leisure time to wait till summers only. My principal has been very understanding. BTW, my RE is over two hours away so I have to miss a lot of school during all the monitoring!!!! What have you done as far as work goes?
Hi all just a quick note (cause I should be working) I saw my RE yesterday--I started Lupron last night woo-hoo, Have my ultrasound next week (the 27th) start my estrogen then. Then in about 14 days from there to make sure my lining is perfect--then I am put in a holding pattern until my donor is stemming--she doesn't start until I am ready We are looking at transfer around the 20-27 of June range if everything goes as planned. So Sabi you will be a few weeks ahead of me because of my protocol But I am happy to be moving forward.
Check in later all!
