Hi everyone -
Jeez Louise this is the first chance I've had to sit down all day, I've had one of those days where you just cant get caught up! First I slept too late, then a close friend just popped in on me to tell me that she's going to be a grandmother - at age 42! So in one week her oldest son at 20 yrs & his girlfriend are 8wks pregnant, so she's sort of freaked out , and here I am one yr younger and having my first! ha ha. Plus she just had her younger son just go into the Army and left for basic training last week, so all of a sudden her house is empty and a lot quieter! Then I went for a haircut, figuring I'll post when I got home, but instead find out that the last piece of nursery furniture wasdelivered but left in the driveway and when I opened the box - its broken and crunched in!!

So I call the company who seem nice enough but they wanted me to take all sorts of pictures of the damage, and lot number, sku number, and the outside of the box. All the other pieces arrived in perfect condition, but isnt it typical that the most delicate piece ( top part of the hutch) shows up not packed well at all? Ahhh, so much for putting that together first since its the biggest piece. sigh. So now I'm glad that we started early enough that we'll have to wait for them to process the damage and send out a replacement part. sigh. Then Chris had a short day and was looking for dinner super early, then puppy manicure (AKA chase her all over the house, then pin her down!) I swear this dog thinks a nail trim is equal to trying to kill her or something! The drama starts as soon as she sees the nail clipper. But she'll just hop into the tub for a bath no problem, go figure. So thats how its 8pm and the first time I get to sit down today, fun, yes? And I wonder why my ankles are swollen each day? ugh
Babyluv - aw, honey i'm sorry you had such a bad dream, i've been having some myself lately. But ooh how I love that your OB tells you to come right in.
Yes, Mama to twins, thats hard enough on its own, so you just let your DH do all the heavy lifting and shopping. I can guess how fun it is to go grocery shopping with 2 little ones walking AND two in your belly. You need to take it easy and get rest while you still can. Take it easy please, girl.
Steph - Oh, honey I'm sorry to hear about your brother. It is a very positive thing that is was caught early though, and tomorrow you'll have a better idea after he talks to the surgeon. I'll say a prayer for him tonight. Early treatment is always the most helpful. Oh, i'm happy to hear that walmart has decided to carry your dressers! Now lets just cross ouw fingers that by friday you get the call that they are on their way, I mean you cant beat free site to store shipping, right? And I know it must be driving you mad to have baby clothes with no place to put them, its bugging me too, thats why they are all still in the bags they were brought home in til it looks like a nursery I suppose.

Hee heee actually right now they're piled in the office just waiting... Chris has alot of furniture assembling to do - this shoud be pretty funny to watch... especially after the elliptical fiasco

I'm liking your plan to get back to CO. If they will guarantee that will de his duty station, that would be so great for you & Alex especially, plus it just seems like the smaller posts are a little more friendly, at least it was that way in the 90"s. My ex & I had started out at Ft. McClellan in Aniston Alabama, it was so beautiful, with really nice people, I was sorry to leave it, so to go from that to huge Ft Benning, was a shock, I really felt out of place there, just too big, too many people, too many super nosy types too. So I get how you feel, and I think that you're right, once your babies are in your arms, the time will seriously fly by! - xoxoxoxo
Riley - Good to hear from you! How are you feeling mama? Wow did the time go fast! you're so close now, its so exciting, isnt it? love the belly pic!
Angela - Oh, honey I know that must have been frightening for you! I think that this time they are keeping a close watch on you & Gabriella though (thank God) and you are so astute and on top of changes that I feel it will be ok. I wonder if maybe you're having a bit of stress incontinence? it happens to me all the time (eww, I know) but unexpected coughing, laughing, sneezing and I have to cross my legs quick & tight, or oopps. And that started to happen to me around the same time frame, maybe 16wks or so. How are you feeling other than that?
Gi - Hee Heee your swing story make me laugh! yes, I think they are the same type of guy Jason & Chris, ha ha. I said to Chris that he should get a haircut before trying to put together this nursery firniture, he said "why"? I told him so that he wont be tearing his hair out when he cant get the parts together! Oooh a fab pink changing bag sounds fun! I think I'm with you on the formula idea too, so dont worry you're not the only one that thinks breastfeeding isnt for them. I was a formula baby and I never get sick, you can count on one hand how few illnesses I've had my whole life, plus I really think that nutrition from formula has come a long way since we were babies.
I did manage to take a belly pic today, not the greatest one ever, I guess Chris should have used a flash but here it is anyway
