Hi Ladies! It has been forever. I can honestly say I've missed the friendships I had here. Things (work and home) have been crazy and I tried to read occasionally, but really fell off of the wagon. I am going to try and do better throughout the rest of the pregnancy. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of time left...28 weeks today! It's still so hard to believe we will be holding our sweet little baby Reagan in less than 3 months. I had my glucose appointment today and it was super easy. I also had my cervix checked due to the increasing number of BH I've been having lately. I did wind up in the hospital at 25 weeks for preterm labor, but it was quickly stopped and my cervix still long, closed, tight, etc whatever it should be! So, this marks my last 4 week appointment and I now have them every 2 weeks.

I will do my best to catch up and do personals in the next day or so. I am so sorry to read about the losses. I can't imagine the pain. Please accept my late, but heartfelt sympathy.

I'm so excited to be back and hope that you still have room for one more!! 8)

Riley - Glad you are back. Hope to see your growing belly more often now! :) Cute pic by the way... wish my belly looked so small and cute! With two in there competing for space, my belly is huge! Last I was measured he said 29cm but I think I look like at least a few more. lol Glad everything is going well with Reagan! I have been having BH too though yesterday and so far today they haven't been as much. I hope they are calming down. How do you tell preterm labor from BH? Was it painful in comparrison? So glad it was quickly stopped!

AFM - Just a small update. I got a call from my brother yesterday and he had just left the doctor's office still graugy from the meds. He went in for a colon scan and they found polyps and at least one was malignant and wasn't able to be removed. Our mother died of cancer so this is horrible to find out he has cancer too. Oddly enough, he was more worried about me with the stress of the news and the effect it might have on my pregnancy than he was about himself. He sees a surgeon on Thursday and I am hoping he gets more information. He shouldn't be all drugged so he should remember the whole conversation this time. Seeing as they called them polyps and not masses, I am guessing that it was found early and therefore stage one and removable and treatable. I cried of course for him, but the tears were quickly replaced with positive thoughts in that he will be just fine. Cancer isn't always a death sentence after all.

Babyluv – how did your glucose test go today? I am sure all is well.

Katie – I am so glad that you guys are done with your house! I was laughing so hard when I read the story about your DH and the elliptical machine! I swear that men can be just so very stubborn sometimes but that is usually when I sit back and laugh at my DH … lol. It definitely keeps us laughing, which is good. By the way, I love the name Savannah … it is so pretty!!!

Stephanie – Oh you are on your way because you already have everything bought or will buy everything for the nursery! I am so jealous as I haven’t even started but one day we will get the nerve.

I love the idea that you and your DH will move back to Col Springs. It is so beautiful there … I went for a business meeting and I love it. It sounds like you guys will be so very happy there also. Oh, Stephanie, I just read about your brother. I am so very happy that he had the colonoscopy because so many people refuse to have them because they are scared of the results. But you are so right; it sounds like the caught it before it metastasized to other organs.

Riley – I am so glad that you are back but I think this is the first time we have communicated. You tummy looks great at 27 weeks!!!

AFM – Oh ladies, I have been a very scared and busy mommy today. After I saw my high risk OB on Monday, he took me off of the vaginal progesterone because I am on the weekly IM shots and also the Ibuprofen. So yesterday was the first day that I didn’t wear a panty liner and when I came home from work I noticed my panties wear wet. It had a slight ammonia smell so I know I am probably leaking a little urine but this is exactly what happened when I lost my daughter Ashley. I started leaking what I believe to be a combination of urine an amniotic fluid at 14 weeks. And, by the time she died and they found out by the u/s, they also noticed that my amniotic fluid was extremely low so I was leaking for weeks and my doctor didn’t take me seriously. So when I saw that I said here we go again. I called my doctor first thing this morning and told them the situation and also told them that I wasn’t experiencing and bleeding or cramping, which is good. The doctor said based on my past, I better come in to their triage to be evaluated. So I left work and went to the hospital. I immediately became alarmed because they had a very hard time finding her heartbeat but I think she was just moving around a lot. Well, it turns out Gabriella is doing fine and the amniotic level is still good. But, they said that they can’t tell if I have a slow leak so I have to report if the leaking becomes larger or if I have cramping and spotting. My cervix was closed and hard also. They couldn’t use the strips to see if I am leaking amniotic fluid because I wasn’t actually leaking a large amount and it wasn’t continuously following. So I am happy to know she is well but I will have to keep a close eye on it from now on. I hope that you ladies are doing better than I am but I know we are all on edge … December can’t come fast enough!

hey girls flying visit as i have to grab a shower and watch Big Brother!!

Angela sorry to hear you are feeling so scared at the moment so understandable, i cant remember if i posted at the time when i came off the vaginal progesterone 17wks 1 day i too noticed i was "wetter" i did have a scan that week and everything was normal it was just pregnancy discharge but i never noticed it before as i had too much discharge from the progesterone. I will say a little prayer that all stays well with your precious girl.

Steph wow you are soooo organised now!! though with twins you have to be. Whats an onnsie? never heard of these? Sorry to hear about your brothers scare i hope he is ok

Katie ha just laughing when i read your message Chris sounds just like jason, jason is the worlds worst handyman! We got a wooden swing recently and the guy that sold it said any "ejit" would put it together within 30 min, 3 hrs later he had to ring his brother to help him, he was getting so frustrated and i was trying not too laugh as like Chris it makes him work! He is dreading putting Kaylas furniture toghether and has already organised help, also has organised my mam to do the painting!! He is also convinced Kayla knows when he puts his hand on my tummy as she immediatly stops kicking though he has felt her 4 times so far. She is the opposite of Savanagh ( which i love btw!!!) she goes mad kicking after i eat its amazing i can now see her kicks when i look at my tummy!

Riley baby your bump is gorgous i think mine is that big now and i am way behind you!!! Sorry to hear you had a scare, how terrifing but Thank God all is ok and fingers crossed your baby stays cooking for another while!

Babyluv i love the way you call kicks love taps how cute!!! but thats what they feel like isnt it! I too sometimes have them horrible nightmares, thankfully all is well with your little ones.

Oh i think i forgot to mention i never went for that pink n' purple buggy in the end i say a gorgous grey/charcoal one and just had to have it though i did see a fab pink baby changing bag that i will get, also ordered my rocking chair today for feeding baby (will be bottle feeding as i have a thing about boobs yuk! so wont be breastfeeding though i know most of ye prob. are) and baby changing mat, my rooms will be filled with unopen packages as i too nervous too open them yet, think will wait till at least 28 wks. Right may go BB calls.

gi xxx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

Hi everyone -

Jeez Louise this is the first chance I've had to sit down all day, I've had one of those days where you just cant get caught up! First I slept too late, then a close friend just popped in on me to tell me that she's going to be a grandmother - at age 42! So in one week her oldest son at 20 yrs & his girlfriend are 8wks pregnant, so she's sort of freaked out , and here I am one yr younger and having my first! ha ha. Plus she just had her younger son just go into the Army and left for basic training last week, so all of a sudden her house is empty and a lot quieter! Then I went for a haircut, figuring I'll post when I got home, but instead find out that the last piece of nursery furniture wasdelivered but left in the driveway and when I opened the box - its broken and crunched in!! So I call the company who seem nice enough but they wanted me to take all sorts of pictures of the damage, and lot number, sku number, and the outside of the box. All the other pieces arrived in perfect condition, but isnt it typical that the most delicate piece ( top part of the hutch) shows up not packed well at all? Ahhh, so much for putting that together first since its the biggest piece. sigh. So now I'm glad that we started early enough that we'll have to wait for them to process the damage and send out a replacement part. sigh. Then Chris had a short day and was looking for dinner super early, then puppy manicure (AKA chase her all over the house, then pin her down!) I swear this dog thinks a nail trim is equal to trying to kill her or something! The drama starts as soon as she sees the nail clipper. But she'll just hop into the tub for a bath no problem, go figure. So thats how its 8pm and the first time I get to sit down today, fun, yes? And I wonder why my ankles are swollen each day? ugh

Babyluv - aw, honey i'm sorry you had such a bad dream, i've been having some myself lately. But ooh how I love that your OB tells you to come right in.
Yes, Mama to twins, thats hard enough on its own, so you just let your DH do all the heavy lifting and shopping. I can guess how fun it is to go grocery shopping with 2 little ones walking AND two in your belly. You need to take it easy and get rest while you still can. Take it easy please, girl.

Steph - Oh, honey I'm sorry to hear about your brother. It is a very positive thing that is was caught early though, and tomorrow you'll have a better idea after he talks to the surgeon. I'll say a prayer for him tonight. Early treatment is always the most helpful. Oh, i'm happy to hear that walmart has decided to carry your dressers! Now lets just cross ouw fingers that by friday you get the call that they are on their way, I mean you cant beat free site to store shipping, right? And I know it must be driving you mad to have baby clothes with no place to put them, its bugging me too, thats why they are all still in the bags they were brought home in til it looks like a nursery I suppose. Hee heee actually right now they're piled in the office just waiting... Chris has alot of furniture assembling to do - this shoud be pretty funny to watch... especially after the elliptical fiasco  I'm liking your plan to get back to CO. If they will guarantee that will de his duty station, that would be so great for you & Alex especially, plus it just seems like the smaller posts are a little more friendly, at least it was that way in the 90"s. My ex & I had started out at Ft. McClellan in Aniston Alabama, it was so beautiful, with really nice people, I was sorry to leave it, so to go from that to huge Ft Benning, was a shock, I really felt out of place there, just too big, too many people, too many super nosy types too. So I get how you feel, and I think that you're right, once your babies are in your arms, the time will seriously fly by! - xoxoxoxo

Riley - Good to hear from you! How are you feeling mama? Wow did the time go fast! you're so close now, its so exciting, isnt it? love the belly pic!

Angela - Oh, honey I know that must have been frightening for you! I think that this time they are keeping a close watch on you & Gabriella though (thank God) and you are so astute and on top of changes that I feel it will be ok. I wonder if maybe you're having a bit of stress incontinence? it happens to me all the time (eww, I know) but unexpected coughing, laughing, sneezing and I have to cross my legs quick & tight, or oopps. And that started to happen to me around the same time frame, maybe 16wks or so. How are you feeling other than that?

Gi - Hee Heee your swing story make me laugh! yes, I think they are the same type of guy Jason & Chris, ha ha. I said to Chris that he should get a haircut before trying to put together this nursery firniture, he said "why"? I told him so that he wont be tearing his hair out when he cant get the parts together! Oooh a fab pink changing bag sounds fun! I think I'm with you on the formula idea too, so dont worry you're not the only one that thinks breastfeeding isnt for them. I was a formula baby and I never get sick, you can count on one hand how few illnesses I've had my whole life, plus I really think that nutrition from formula has come a long way since we were babies.

I did manage to take a belly pic today, not the greatest one ever, I guess Chris should have used a flash but here it is anyway

OK I have been reading this thread since I started on here in May and I finally wanted to post and say all of you are so inspiring and wonderful. You all really brighten my day. I am so sorry for the losses but know that even when we say nothing we think about you always.

Katie- I've been mostly reading this because of you. I am sooooooooo happy everything is going well for you. LOVE LOVE LOVE the belly pic! My DH is Chris also...he sounds soooooooo much like your DH Chris. We even had an eliptical fiasco much like yours so I LOL really hard.

AFM- I'll probably do more personals later after I have been on here a few days. But just as an intro....I have been TTC since I was married to my ex hubby so that would be 11 years now. Every Dr I ever had told me nothing was wrong and not to worry about not getting preggers since I was young. I was 23 then. Well, one divorce later and no baby. Meet now ex fiance...tried for another 2 years with him. He had children with his ex wife. So I know it's me not him...he ended up being a cheater so I guess everything happens for a reason. 7 years with DH...married for 3 now. We really got serious about trying in the last 2 years. His career always came first...he's such a kid so he was scared to have one. Poor guy...lucky he's on board now! Found out about my PCOS Feb of last year. Had one RE that put me on meds that gave me hives. Dumped her. :) Found my beloved RE who got me pregnant in May. I love him with all my heart. He is still in shock that it worked. We did IVM. It was supposed to be IUI but I never responded to clomid so they converted my cycle in 2 days. It worked.
I have been scared to post on this side in case something happened but I realize I have to have faith that everything will be ok and finally join you lovely mommies to be! SO....9 weeks. I saw my little bean move on the u/s yesterday. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen! I'm so in love! :P I'm a flight attendant so I am gone a lot. I had some bleeding in my 6th week while I was on a flight to Ireland. Very scary but all is well now for the time. I am with a high risk OB and they have labeled me as high risk so that makes me feel better. I took a few weeks off but went back to work this week. No problems so far! :)

That's all for me....so hello!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope to get to know you all much better over the next few months as we go through this wonderful time together!

Angela - Do the scares never stop with any of us?! And I can see why you would be more concerned than anyone. Just so you know. I've also noticed my underwear getting a little more wet in the past couple of weeks. I know it's normal, but I was nervous about it as well. It was definitely something I googled!

Steph - I am so sorry about your brother. It does sound like they caught it early, but still so scary and a long road ahead. Definitely will be praying for him.

Katie - Niiiiiice. Broken furniture. Awesome. Just awesome. Where did you order from? We've always had ours assembled by the delivery guys so we've not had that issue in the past, but oh, oh SOOO irritating! BTW - looking good Mama!

PaFa - Welcome to the board and congrats!!

Gi - I totally understand your position on the formula thing. Both of my kids were bottle fed and there is no child healthier than Alex (Scarlett has asthma and a heart condition so she's a different story, but that's how she was born, nothing to do with bottle vs. breast). My goal is to nurse, but if it becomes too difficult, I have NO issues going to the bottle!

AFM - I went for my glucose test today, and after waiting about 20 min before being seen, they told me my paperwork wasn't filled out with my name and signed by my doctor so I couldn't do it. AWESOME! I am picking up a new slip tomorrow and plan on doing it friday. Sigh. On a happier note, we got most of Scarlett's room painted (still have a lot of trimming and touch up to do) and the color is AWESOME!!! The exact right shade of purple. Perfect for a girls room, but could also be a guest room...not too kiddish. She loves it and wanted to sleep in her new room tonight (HA!). However, I need to get all the carpets cleaned next week and then hopefully her furniture will be delivered. Then I have to get the mattresses, bedding, etc... So maybe we can be all done in another 2-3 weeks. She'll be three at the end of next month (right after I turn 30!) and I'm glad she should be in by then. She doesn't seem bothered at all at the babies taking her room (I also try not to bring it up) since she'll now be in the room next to Grandma when my mom comes up :D

Pa - Fa - hi honey, glad to see you here and Welcome! Hee hee maybe all guys named Chris arent the best handymen then? ha ha
Aw, yes its totally amazing the first time you see your little bean move, isnt it? and it only gets better too! wait until you go for your NT scan, they did mine at 13wks and you can see them waving, turning, jumping around - its exciting - oh and you can see their face and heart, spine, hands, arms, legs. You wont believe what a huge difference a few weeks makes! I'll add you to our list, do you have appt dates for me to add? oh, and ummm, yeah I do get how much you love your RE, I do too especially since without that wonderful man there would be no little Savannah in my belly and I'd most likely still be in cycling hell. I miss him alot. Has he released you yet? he didnt release me until I was like 16wks! the OB was getting irritated, I think, but if I could have stayed with that man I would have! Take it easy, soon you'll be through your 1st trimester and can breathe a bit easier - xoxo

Babyluv - Aw, your Scarlett always sounds so cute! I'm glad that she's loving her new room, I think she's going to really be a mama's little helper with the babies. Good luck with your GTT on friday, I have mine on tues and I'm not a fan of really sweet things so i sure want to pass this the first time and avoid the 3hr GTT - ugh. Yep, a broken top piece of the hutch really wasnt in the plan. we went through the rest of the boxes and everything else is perfect, so now I'm wondering if maybe it was fed ex who dropped it? Anyway they seemed to deliver really quickly and were so nice on the phone, so we'll see how long it takes them to send a replacement piece. It was http://simplybabyfurniture.com they had better prices than BRU plus no sales tax and free shipping. Are you still having those darn BH contractions?

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Katie- 16 weeks!! Lucky!!!!! My crappy insurance made me stop seeing him at like 7 weeks. I hate it! I'm at an OB who is ok I guess...I still have not met them. (2 Dr practice) When I left my RE they last thing they said was that my progesterone and estrogen were still low but normal for this point and they wanted my levels checked with my OB. They also said to stay on my icky suppositories and estrogen until the end of the first trimester. Maybe longer if my levels are not up. Well, the new OB office says they do not check those things once there is a hb. HUH?????? So now I am filled with nervousness. I guess I'll convey my concerns when I actually get to meet a Dr. I have just had a 1 1/2 hr nurse initial consult.

OK dates.... next ob July 27....1 bean due 2/15/2011....(insert happy dance here) :)

Hi Ladies

As you know from before i'm not very good at writing individuel notes so i want to say to all you lovely mums to be that i'm so happy and proud of you. Also i'm so happy to be here pregnant with you all!!

8 weeks 3 days pregnant and i feel so neuseas some of the day, i'v not been sick which is a good thing. I'v had a fear of vomiting for years so this isnt nice for me. I know it will be worth it in the end. I get really axious with it too and makes me feel blue. Did any of you experience this?

Other than that and the few twinges all is fine, i'm home most of the days as i don't have the car to get out. I'm looking forward to get to my first trimester stop feeling so sick and start enjoying the pregnany. I don't want to bond with my bean yet as i'm afraid something will go wrong.

Happy Thursday
lots of love
Franca

Gi – thanks for the reassurance. Yes, it is still very scary but I am taking it one day at a time.

Katie – I love the picture! You always seem to keep yourself pretty busy; please remember to take it easy whenever possible.

PA_FA – Welcome to our little family! I think you and I have communicated before on one thread or another. I am glad your pregnancy is going well. I understand the fear of not wanting to post on this side in the beginning of your pregnancy. I felt the same way too. But, once I made the move over hear I felt so much better. The ladies here are wonderful. I would be insane without them. I am on very high alert with this pregnancy as my last pregnancy started w/ twins and I lost one at 6 ½ weeks and my daughter Ashley at 21 weeks. But, we are all here for each other, so welcome!!

Babyluv – sorry to hear about the glucose test. I tell you it never fails … when you finally get your nerve up to do something, there seems to be a delay. Good luck on your test on Friday; I know everything will be fine!!

Franca – I am so glad to see you back. I was getting a little worried as we didn’t hear from you for awhile. My nausea didn’t really hit me until 10 weeks but when I did; it felt like a Mack truck ran me over. I hope you feel better soon but it sounds like your little one is growing nicely in there!!!

AFM – I hope you ladies have a great Thursday! I decided to post this morning instead of this evening after work because I have to work late tonight and will be totally exhausted when I finally get home! I feel pretty good this morning, especially after I know Gabriella is doing fine.

Hi everyone -

Ah, another bonehead move on my part. . So do you all remember me bitching about receiving my pre registration hospital packet a looog time ago?
Well guess what i just realized that I never filled out & sent in? Whoops, I put it away because it annoyed me that they sent it to me when I was like 8-9 wks'
and then promptly forgot all about it - duh, guess thats on my to-do list for today? Ah, I guess THATS why they sent it SO early!

And I was wondering where all of Gracie's dog toys were - well she has moved most of them into the now empty and painted son to be nursery! I guess she thinks its a new playroom for her! crazy dog! I found her all stretched out laying upside down & cozy in there this morning - umm sorry puppy that is. not. your. room.

And I figured out why Chris has been so determined to settle on a name, it seems his best buddy has decided to gift us with a crib bedding set - so sweet
and there will be a pillow ( yes I know decoration only) with her name embroidered on it. Now I dont want to seem ungrateful or anything ( since this is likely to be the only baby gift we get) but this is the same buddy who gave us a comforter set last Christmas that was sooooo far off my taste that it never even got tried on the bed! And it was in this odd shiny synthetic fabric which didnt feel nice at all. So I'm a bit nervous that he'll end up just wasting his money again.
It is the thought that counts, but these bedding sets arent cheap and I sure hate to see people throw money away! All Chris will tell me that its white with pink butterflies on it, so maybe?

Steph - Hope you're holding up alright today, I know it will be a tense day waiting to hear from your brother. I've got everything crossed for a good prognosis for him - big hugs to you my dear friend - xoxo

PA-FA - oh no, my insurance is crappy too! no ivf coverage at all! But when the good Dr kept me so long before releasing me, Aetna wouldnt cover any visits or even b/w after 8 wks - so we were out of pocket for for b/w wks 8-16. Ah, yes useless insurance. They couldnt care less if I ever got pg at all, oh but NOW there care so much? - enough to have assigned me a nurse who calls every few weeks trying to ask questions to make me red flag myself - those are awkward calls indeed. If I werent a nurse myself I'd be afraid to answer anything from them! I love love love the fact that you're having a Valentine's day baby!
can you get any more romantic than that? I dont think so!

Ester - Aw, thanks honey. i'm keeping a close eye on all of you over there and hoping you all get your behinds over here real soon! You have a safe trip and enjoy your vacation!

Angela - Hee Hee - you're always telling me to take it easy and you're work schedule sounds pretty hectic your self - ha ha Guess we need to both take own advice, huh? see the plan was to get everything done by the 7th month so that I can do nothing but read up on all things baby for the final stretch, its much needed since both Chris & I are totally inexperienced and clueless with babies! This will sure be an adventure! much love - xoxo

Franca - aw honey its easy to understand how you feel, after an experience like that of course you're cautious, have you seen the HB yet? That & time should help you relax & enjoy your pregnancy a little more. When is your next scan? my other friend in the UK has had to wait awhile between scans, how hard is that?

Claudia - Where are you honey? I've been missing you lots! We're suppossed to have another really hot, humid week - please take good care during your swim class mama - xoxo
