Hi all just a quick note (cause I should be working) I saw my RE yesterday--I started Lupron last night woo-hoo, Have my ultrasound next week (the 27th) start my estrogen then. Then in about 14 days from there to make sure my lining is perfect--then I am put in a holding pattern until my donor is stemming--she doesn't start until I am ready

We are looking at transfer around the 20-27 of June range if everything goes as planned. So Sabi you will be a few weeks ahead of me because of my protocol

But I am happy to be moving forward.

Pooh,
it's nice to hear from you. We are really close. Gotta coordinate w/the donor. I had a terrible nightmare last night- donor dropped out, just changed her mind. Oh no!! Thank God it was just a nightmare. Been busy w/school & the house. Not to much to report. Stop bc pills on Thurs, blood work on 5-28 & ultrasound on June 9th. That's about it.
How is everyone? Enjoying the weather, keeping busy...

Sabi it good to have a poking buddy--I asked the pharmacy for the baby needles

I am a diabetes nurse so I know what size all those needles are---The lupron comes (or at least for me) in insulin syringes so I asked for the 5/16 th inch needles as opposed to the 1/2 inch they come with--I am a big baby

I also ask for 25 gauge needle for progestrone as opposed to the 22 they give me (bigger the gauge the thinner the needle) I found out yesterday that with donor they do progesterone twice a day rather than once--I won't be able to sit forever

Where can I get those needles for the Progestrone shots? I am a real BIG baby!! Good to know some inside info, thanks.They're talking like 3 mos of Prog shots?!! Absurd! How have you been?

sabi I am good so glad to be finally doing something--feels like I have been waiting forever! I got those needles at the pharmacy--your RE can call them in to any pharmacy--most insurances will cover it too--or if you got yours mail order call them and ask. The 22 gauge needle the medications go in faster--my hubby has to push harder so it takes longer so there is some give and take--as far as the lupron ask the pharmacy for BD brand (they are the best) shorts that would be 5/16th inch 31 gauge needle--I give those to myself and I don't feel them--progesterone though are a pain in the butt literally! I don't ice before that one it make it hurt more for me--I put a heating pad before and after it helps--also get some hot tap water in a cup put the progesterone in there for a few seconds--the heat makes it a little thinner making it easier to inject--I did the 12 weeks before I was never so happy to stop those

best of luck, lots of baby dust and PMA being sent to both of you as you girls get started on your cycles!! Nice that you both have each other as cycle buddies!

sabi - a lot of clinics will also switch you to the progesterone suppositories &/or gel if it gets to be unbearable, or shortly after your BFP. I'm sure you guys are doing great with the shots and getting better every day, at least I hope so!!

to chriss, jenB, carolyn and all the ladies in waiting - thinking of you and sending you lots of PMA to keep you going!

today is dh's birthday and the poor guy lost a filling during lunch! Luckily, the dentist could see him right away and all is mended, but still, what a thing to have happen on your birthday, right? Otherwise, all is well and just getting reading for my mom's upcoming visit.

Pooh Girl and Sabi - How exciting that you ladies are starting your cycles! It is nice to have cycle buddies.

Personally, I feel so much better because I got dates and a specific time from my RE. I was previously heartbroken thinking that the hysteroscopy I have scheduled for July would really delay everything, but apparently we can manage to squeeze the cycle in before my sis is unavailable. If everything goes well, we will have a mid August transfer (still far away!) Next step - sis has to get her day 3 tests in her state (FL). Really keeping my fingers crossed that everything looks good on her end - we have to wait because she is usually on the pill - she just stopped and has to be off for one cycle before day 3.

Best wishes to the girls who have started - we are rooting for you!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have not been posting much. I've been very busy... I have a little surprise... I got my BFP... finally. I didn't post about my cycle because I was too nervous after 6 previous ivf's and numerous iui's. Had lots of chemicals and a miscarriage. So I just needed to keep it quiet to keep myself calm. Hope you all understand. I am thinking of all of you. Keep the faith. Your time will come. Thank you for your continued support and friendship:)

YEA!!!!!!! Chriss I am so happy for you! Hopefully you are the first of many of us! I totally understand keeping things quiet sometimes this is such a long hard road though worth it in the end

Thanks you guys, yes, this is very recent news. We just found out on Monday and my betas have been good. I am so grateful.
