Hi
I will be taking 150 iu follistim today and 75 iu tommorow and will go for an ultrasound and blood work on wednesday .
My RE said that everything looked fine with my blood results. But i am thinking why she lowered my dose???
does lowering the dose in the middle of the stim. cycle affects the quality of eggs???

MY RE has lowered the follistim dose again . Today i have to take 150iu but tommorrow it will be 75 iu only .I don't know how it will affect my follicle numbers and the quality of my eggs????

Hello All!!!

I started birth control pills last Saturday (the 28th). I am very happy to have found this forum. This is my first attempt at IVF and I am nervous and excited enough to nearly jump out of my skin!

I only know one woman who has been through IVF (she had a gorgous baby boy after her fourth cycle), but I am really happy to hear from people who will be going through it the same time as me.

I will be starting mind/body classes on May 7th. My RE said that there is good evidence to suggest it can help with success rates, so looking forward to giving that a try and will keep you all posted.

I am on my 5 th day of stim today. I have only 3 follicles in my left ovary and in the right one i have 6-7.
I hope some smaller ones will catch up later.i haven't signed for cryopreservation due to personal reason .
Anyone who also has not signed for FET????

Hi I am new to this and this is my first post. I start my lupron shots tomorrow and am doing the may/june cycle. lets rally together for positive results.

Is anyone doing no lupron ,just follistim and ganerelix protocol.
I am on my stimulation day 5 and starting ganerelix from tomorrow morning. I have read in an article that
ganerelix can affect the embryo quality in a badway esp. in pcos women. can anyone put some light on this???
I have also read that normal or good responders to stimulation do not need ganerelix.

hello everyone... im new... and this is my first cycle... i use to post on awaiting treatment forum but i guess im supposed to be here in may/june cycle

i started AF april 27, did a baseline bloodwork and u/s same day, started follistim 225iu 4/28 then went to the clinic this am for bloodworks ... got a voicemail at home this afternoon that my ? is 325 which is good ...i dont even know what it is... and then they will see me this friday - which is i dont know what for....

im so frustrated with this clinic regarding the department that leaves messages to the patients... i have told them a million times to call me on my cellphone .... argghhh

so now im confused... should i still continue my follistim? should i start a new drug? what were your experiences after day 5..

sorry im rambling ....lol....

Hi Marsxp
This 325 might be your E2 level . It is an indicator of how many follicles you are growing and how well you are responding to the stimulation.
Yours is ok.As far as leaving messages on the cell phone is concerned you should talk to your nurse coordinator about this. My Nurse Co..
always asks me where to call and is always ready to answer any query i have.

thanks Sharon...... i actually talked to my nurse coordinator this morning... she was apologetic and she said she'll make sure i get the phone calls next time on my cell.....

she shceduled me for another bloodwork and u/s tomorrow and another one on Monday....

Here is my update. Some of the smaller ones are starting to grow now. I am happy

because i was little worried about the foliicle numbers.
I am mid way now and eagerly waiting for the ER day.
I have also started ganerelix from 6 th day which is very painful to me .
Anyone who is doing this??

Sharon, sounds like we're on the same protocal. Last night was the 8th night of stims (menopur) and today was my 3rd antigon. My scan today showed that I have about 4 good size follies: 17, 20, 2X22mm and a few smaller ones. Labs today were E2-1176, LH-12.3, lining 10mm. My LH is climbing so I trigger tonight and have ER on Tuesday. When is your anticipated date? The garnilex (antigon) does hurt abit but not as bad as the menopur, to me that is. The garnilex keeps you from surging and loosing those high dollar eggs. I can't imagine a protocal with it unless you're doing lupron instead.

Today is my 9th day of stim and 4th day of ganerelix.My follicle size in the right ovary are 19,16,16,15 and some smaller ones. In the left i have only 3 of which one is 17 and other two are 15.I think i will have to stim a little more.I got some fertile cervical mucus in the morning and so i know the day is near.
I am little worrired about my biggest follicle . If it takes time for the smaller ones to catch up then what will happen to the follicles which are already mature??
