Hi Beck Good to know that we're going through it at almost the same time! I am sniffing Suprecur, which I understand is similar to Synarel. I am doing OK - haven't had any side effects that I have noticed. Have you? I am nervous but excited - have been trying for 3 years. Lived in Holland for a while, and had investigations there, but conclusion was 'unexplained infertility'. Came back to live in UK, and had laparoscopy which determined that I had significant adhesions which have since been released. No guarantees that it will fix everything though, so gynae decided that IVF was the best route. Don't have preliminary date for EC - presume that it will turn out to be similar date to yours. Am at clinic in London - what about you? As you're a day ahead, would be good to know if you suffer anything, so I know what to expect! Good luck - and to everyone else on this site! Lucy

Hi All I'm also part of the unexplained infertility group but have also been treated for endo. Been having problems down-regging but looks like I'm back on track to join the September club!! Got another blood-test on Friday to test my hormone levels but if they are OK then EC should be sometime in the week starting 7th Oct. This is our first go at IVF so excited but also nervous as I've had two MC's before so looks like my problem is not only getting pregnant but holding onto it as well. Apparently they can give you all sorts of lovely pessaries to help with that side of things though.Still, one step at a time. Have everything crossed for all of us Love Terri xx

hello helen and louce hey helen your starting on sunday wahoo .. its ok im on day 5 now and just got a sore nose and vvvvv tired,but could be due to late nights at the weekend. and louce im at london to which one are you at?? so no side affects with you which is good. i started on day 21 so im getting hormonal as af is due on wed. hows the others ??your all very quiet. hugs bec x

Bec and co And I thought it was just my late nights at the weekend that were making me tired!! I too am sleepy, and my nose is a little sensitive - itchy almost, but not so much as I notice. Hi All, I too am feeling weary. Have spent the last few days feeling like I'm just about to break out in bad period pains, but as yet haven't, so no idea when will get af so can move onto stimulating. The tops of my legs are now looking like have gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson (saving tummy until have to inject both drugs). I was really hoping ec/et will be around the weekend of October 5 since we live with my mum who will be away that weekend. She is just turned 70 and has no understanding at all of the process, (her comments were she didn't want to know about our sex life!) so we go through the cycles without telling her - no mean feat I can tell you - luckily we both work 'unpredictable' hours, so we get around it by saying we have to be out early to work. But life would be a lot easier if I can stay in bed all day without having to provide an explanation. Oh well, life could be much worse. Take care everyone. Fiona xx

hello girls,(louce helen fiona jules) how are you all?? well im day 6 and am so tired and getting bad af pains is anyone else?? im attending guy's in london, they are lovely and so caring. louse hows the side affects going? im getting hot but not flushes as such, what are you sniffing?? ooooooohhhhhhhh fiona your poor leg . well not long now for you begining of oct thats only 2wks. helen sunday is only around the courner,fingers cross for you. its horrible when you have to think of money aint it...we have just bought a hose and moved in 2wks ago and are mega skint so if it fails it will take ages to get the funds. jules hows you sweetie?? terri how are you doing?? hey kimmy not long for you......how are you feeling? hope you are all dandy love bec x [Edited by beck on 17-Sep-02 20:37]

Hi Jules, I think my egg collection will be around 30th sept also!!!! I started Gonal F yesterday and go back monday for a scan, so I will know more then. You mentioned that you have accupuncture and take chinese herbs. I also do the same, however I was not advised to stop taking the herbs once I start the drugs. Do you know the reason behind this? I hope I am not doing any damage!!! Take care and bye for now Lisa

Hi ladies Well, af arrived yesterday so I am about to phone the clinic to get my first scan booked and begin injections. Felt nervous excited when af arrived, but am now calm again - just want to move on to the next stage. Saw a posting on another topic about drugs - if you're paying privately is it best to get them from your clinic, or the web or a pharmacy? I got my first lot from the clinic, but am thinking this might be the most expensive way. Any ideas? Bec - how are you doing? Love Luce x

hi luce, my af turned up saturday night.....IT WAS SO PAINFUL !! it is ok now thank god. we are so close on the timing only a day apart. so whens your scan appointment?? any more side affects?? im doing ok feel better now af has arrived i thought i'd end up killing my other arf (bless him)i was so hormonal !! hows kimmy? jules?terri? helen? and not forgetting fiona? you have all been quiet......hope your all ok and not suffering to much. big hugs beckxxxxxxxxx

Hi Becks Thanks for asking but I've been off licking my wounds. After my third blood test to see if I can move onto GonalF my hormone levels still havent dropped enough after 5 weeks of injecting Buserelin !! My doctor's not worried and wants me to keep going as I'm apparently at a level of 200 (whatever that means) where I need to reach 100 ....so not far to go. Only thing is that because I've lapped myself on a cycle, in the real world AF was due last week so in IVF land we had battle of The Titans as far as my hormones were concerned. Went from feeling suicidal one minute to totally elated the next. Same as you poor DH just trying to guess which way I'm swinging and duck!! Seems to have calmed a bit now just really P'd off that I can't seem to move onto the next step. Hope everyone else is doing OK. LOL Terri xx

Hi girls, I'm still here - I tend to get chance to log on most weekdays and read everyones postings, but replying is a bit more tricky on my work PC. I had a scan last Friday and started stims then. Feeling a bit less tired than when just on down-reg drugs but now quite emotional. Its like a count down now isn't it, where you just hope that you can get over each hurdle to go onto the next. I'm on the maximum dose of FSH (450iu) which last time only gave me 5 usable eggs, 3 fertilised - 2 good put back (the other one not good enough for freezing). So I'm a bit anxious that because it was so borderline last time, the results might be even worse this time. In the back of my mind I know this could be a better cycle and just keep hoping - but its producing lots of mixed feelings. Anyway,. I'm back at the clinic on Weds for a blood test and we'll see what happens from there - they tend to have me in most days for blood for the week building up to ec (or IUI as was) so next week should be tough. No rest for the wicked, as they say! And some of you may remember me saying they have to take blood from my hands - not nice. Well, winge over. Good luck everyone, and I'll try to keep you posted. Hi Girls, Thanks for asking after me Beck...so here is my update. I started stims last wednesday and had my 1st scan today. I have 10 follicles which is about on track for me. I will then start cetrotide tomorrow and also continue with Gonal F until egg collection, which is hopefully 30th Sept. I now have to go back every 2 days to keep an eye on the follicles. Anyone else out there egg collection 30th??? Good luck to all of us this month. Lisa

Hi Like Fiona I do tend to login and read messages daily, but struggle to reply from work Am due for my scan on Friday. Fingers crossed that everything will be Ok to start stims. Still feel very tired, but that's all. Good luck to those who are approaching egg collection on 30th! Lucy

Hi everyone Hey I'm still here!! Just haven't had a chance to post lately! I went for my second scan today, and all seems well. Think there were about 13 follies in total, I seem to be responding much the same as last time. Got to go back on Friday for a third (and hopefully final) scan when I'll know whether egg collection's def on for Mon 30th or not. So I may be on the same day as you Lisa, will keep you posted!My clinic advised me to stop the herbs once I started jabbing, but I think it was just them being over cautious rather than there being any actual harm or risk involved, as the Chinese stuff is supposed to be complementary. Have you asked your clinic then? I'm starting to feel really achey and bloated now with the odd ovary twinge and just can't concentrate properly at work, and really tired most of the time, but apart from that am fine! Am just counting down the days now til the weekend! I hope everyones doing ok and send us all loads of +++ vibes Gotta go now for the dreaded jab Take care guys LOL Jules xxx
