I guess it depends on the doctor. After 7 IVF I think the doctor got tired and just does not know why it does not work. He is really good. Most the women been through the process are satisfied.
We conceived the first time (baby is now almost 4 months old), ivf with icsi and my dh's count was super low with poor motility. I don;t remember the exact number, but I want to say less than 2 million. He actually had no sperm in the ejaculate and needed to have surgery in order to extract the sperm. Keep in mind that with icsi, the number of sperm doesn't really matter. You only need one sperm to fertilize one egg, so my dr kept telling me if I had 10 eggs, we only needed 10 sperm, and he said they didn;t even need to have great motility because they didn't need to swim anywhere,, just needed to be alive. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
