Hi ladies, I'm 38, I have done one fresh cycle which resulted in 12 good quality embryo's, i got a BFN on the fresh, i have done 2 FET's which both resulted in chemical pregnancies, the second one was very hard as the same day i found out my funding for a free cycle had been cancelled too. Perfect timing. I have since had numerous tests and been found to have a blood clotting problem, ihad 2 perfect day 2, 4 cell embies transferred yesterday, and am hoping that this time they stick around. I test on 12th November, so fingers crossed.

Good luck to you all, and sticky baby dust.

Hi All

Post by Heidi_in_Denver »

I'm 36 and on my 2nd IVF, in between ER and ET. I have pulled out all the stops this time, doing accupuncture, mayan uterine massage, and hypnotherapy. I am hoping for twin boys plus some embies to freeze! And if it doesn't work out, then I plan to just ski my heart out in my new state of CO, so all is good either way.

Just a quick update:
Took my prengyl shot last night. Blood work this morning. My E2 level is up at 785 and my LH dropped to .8. All good numbers. So, ER is scheduled tomorrow 8:30 am EST. I should be all done by 11 and home by noon. I have a good friend who is taking me, since DH doesn't drive (amputee and is affraid to drive). Then I plan on relaxing over the weekend and Monday will be ET.

Hoping from here on out is going to go smoothly. And like I said before, what will happen will happen. If not, well I will be sad and won't continue to keep doing this. I have to belive there is a reason for all this.

Good luck to Heidi, Angie, Beach and the rest of you. My good thoughts are yours!

I am definately in the over 35 crowd. I'm 40, but really closer to 41 (birthday is mid February). My dh and I didn't get married until we were 32 and started trying to have kids at about 35.... Started infertility treatments in 2005 at about 37. Had 3 unsuccessful IUI's, which probably isn't surprising b/c one of my tubes was blocked (removed in Nov, 2006), so depending on how many eggs I had on the left side, it's not really surprising. Started looking into IVF in Aug. 2006. Since my surgery last Nov., I've had 4 ivf cycles and I am on my 5th one. I've been told that my fsh levels were borderline at 11 in June and then on day 3 of my clomid challenge test in Sept. it was at 11.9. AFter taking the clomid, it was at 7.6 on Day 10. I am on a different protocal this time around--no lupron. I am taking clomid and gonal-f. Tomorrow, I go in for 1st u/s and bloodwork after baseline last Sunday. Eventually, I will be taking granelix at some point. I am also doing acupuncture for the first time, so I am hoping that the different protocal along w/ the acupuncture will help me get better results.

Best of luck to everyone.

Hi all!

I am 35 and have now been at this for almost 2 years. As you can see from my profile, we've been through a lot of cycles with no luck yet! I started another round this week and will be going in for my first u/s and bloodwork tomorrow morning.

My DH and I decided that this is our last go with my eggs. We also decided that if we don't get more than 5 good looking follicles that we aren't going to go through with ER. Given these decisions I am very nervous about tomorrow - even though I know I am typically a late bloomer and we can't make any decisions on tomorrow results anyway. It is my day 9 or 10 u/s that will really count.

Cindy - good luck with your ER tomorrow!
7 IVF cycles - 2 chemicals, 5 BFN

2ndtimer - Mayan uterine massage is, contrary to first impressions, done on the belly. It is massaging from the pelvic bone up and then in circles from the breastbone to the belly. It's supposed to put a tipped uterus back in place and help with blood flow. I don't know if it works, I was just in expirimentation mode this cycle. I just had one session and then did some of the daily homework for a week or so before forgetting about it. =) As far as the hypnosis I posted about that here ==> http://www3.fertilethoughts.com/forums/ ... p?t=545178

Hi all

I had two embryos transferred, one was a grade 1, the other just past a grade 1 to a 2, she said she was being harsh. The other was a grade 3 so no good for freezing. I got there at 10.30 and was desperate for a pee (have to have a full bladder) it was painful to hold since EC, so it was agreed I could relieve myself, and I was given a jug of water. Half an hour of waiting and .... I had to go again! I dont think my bladder was full for procedure but it went ok. So now im in the wonderful 2ww. The clinic reckon I have a 40% rate of success and 25% that both will implant. So im a little more postitive today
