FET in Feb!!!

Hi girls ~ yes, I have been busy playing Auntie.

Well.... my baseline U/S went well. Looks like my ovaries are nice and "asleep". They did a E2 (estrogen) check and said they would call me if there was any problems. Never got the call - so I started my Estrogen pills today and cream tonight. AF showed today - she is light but I am cramping like a mofo. Next U/S is the 1st. Here's my protocol below:

1/13 - Start Lupron - 20 units
1/16 - Stop BCP
1/19 - Start Estrogen pills (1 pill cut in half twice daily) Estrogen cream at night and Lupron drops to - 10 units
1/24 - 2 full Estrogen pills - continue with Lurpon and Estrogen cream
1/28 - Stop Lupron, 3 full Estrogen pills and Estrogen cream
2/01 - U/S
2/02 - 2 Estrogen pills, Estrogen cream, progesterone shot and progesterone cream twice daily
2/05 - Everything and start prednisone twice daily
2/07 - FET!!!
2/08 - Everything and start 81mg Asprin
2/12 - Everything and start Estrogen patch

UGGHHH!!! Soon I will have cream coming out of my ears. I hope this works this time.

Barbarella ~ Glad that all went well. I hear ya on each step being a hurdle. It seems just getting to transfer is half the battle. I have heard about acupuncture and that it seems to work (or help). I have never given thought to trying it myself. Maybe a thought for the future though... Let us know how it goes.

Beth ~ I am sorry about going overboard. I do that sometimes. I haven't had any side effects except headaches when I started the Lupron. But I just started the Estrogen today.

Faith ~ When I had my baseline U/S and BW I asked them again for any additional testing and they basically said the same thing to me. Just plain bad luck and that they don't know what could be causing the M/C.

I turned in my paperwork also. I wrote in that I want (2) good embies to be thawed and transfered and if one of the good ones don't survive the thaw, then DARN IT - I want another good one thawed until they get 2 good ones to transfer. I asked for that last time and they thawed 2 good, one didn't look very good, lost half its shell so they thawed a good to fair one and then transfered all 3. They aparently don't listen very well so this time it is in writing. Ugghhh they are my embies - if I want to use all my good ones shouldn't I be able to??? I have 6 good embies, 6 good to fair embies and 2 fair ones left. (Yes ladies I had tons from my fresh cycle - originally I had 48 eggs, 20 fertilized and I developed OHSS- which probably accounts for my quality). OK, I am out of breath.... (just teasing) have a wonderful weekend ladies!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Faith - The acupunture was really good, really relaxing, if you can cope with needles I would say have a go. I felt so relaxed all my aches and pains went and I felt sooooooo relaxed, my body sank into the bed, my next appointment is on Thursday. I am going to try and have at least 5 goes before FET. my mum is sending me a clipping from the Daily paper with reference to Uterus lining and a lady had Viagra and Acupunture to thicken her lining and finally fell pregnant. That will be an interesting read.

Barbella ~ Glad to hear acupunture went well. Can't wait to hear about the PG Viagra lady.

Faith ~ Are you and DH having karyotype testing done? That is what they called it for me and my DH. We both went in and they drew blood. The RE said they were checking for chromosone abnormalities??? Ours came back in a little over 2 weeks. Maybe starting bugging them a bit early?

Beth ~ How are you holding up on the meds?

Well girls.... nothing new or exciting going on here. Just taking my Estrogen. La la la..... twiddling my thumbs and wishing the days would go by faster. I can't believe I want the days to go by faster. That just means I will be getting older and older. I wish I would go ahead and get PG already because this fertility business is consuming me.

Barbarella I'm glad to hear that the accupuncture went well, I've never tried it myself, but I heard a lot of good things about it. Good Luck with it and let us all know if it continues to help!!

Baby or Bust yes DH and I had our karoytype testing done (that's also what they called it). Bummer it takes so long, but I think I'll take your advice and bug em' a bit early

Soooo I am still just taking my BCP...taking forever but nice knowing that I don't have to do any more meds right now. I got my lupron in the mail today, that starts Friday so I'll enjoy a couple more days needle free.

Oh my gosh, Donnell, I agree with you, the days are just going by so slowly! I feel old already.
I went in for bloodwork and u/s yesterday and everything is progressing 'nicely'...got some sleeping ovaries and lining is A-OK! wooo-hooo. I start progesterone shots next week.

I have heard a lot of good things about acupuncture, Barbarella. Are you enjoying it? What's up with the PG viagra lady?

Faith - any news on your karyotype testing? Is no news, good news?
How are your lupron shots coming along?
Talk about cold -- today I think we 'warm up' to 22 degrees!! I am ready for spring!!

Hi everyone

I have had 3 acupunture treatments so far and I cannot see what they are doing but I am feeling good in myself after each one. I am going to a different lady on Tuesday she specialises in acupunture to help with the thickening of the lining. On Tuesday I have my last u/s before i go for FET (if all is ok) so i will ask what the thickness is? Mmm we will see if it works? I got the Viagra lady cut from the paper today. She could not gat a thick lining she had 3 failed ICSI treatments here in the uk, and they said to her no chance of having a baby. So she went over to LA and had the viagra and acupuncture and has had twins. That gives hope doesnt it.

oh my dinner is ready gotta go- hubby cooked tonite...

I am hoping to have an FET a little later in Feb.

I did IVF in Jan, retrieved 8 follicles, 7 of the follicles fertilized, on day 2 they were all 4-cell. It is not day 4 and I will find out if we have blasts on Tuesday.

We did not make it to ET because my lining is thin

good luck with your FET. What are they doing for you in regards to your lining? Did you freeze all 7 embies? That's a pretty good number.

Barbarella, it will be interesting to whether your acupuncture actually makes a difference! *Stupid question time * where are they putting the needles? Like I said before, I have heard nothing but good things about it, so if anything, at least it is relaxing for you!

Today is day 5 and I have an appt tomorrow to see how many/if any we got to freeze. Doctor won't freeze any earlier than 5 day blasts. I was really happy that 7 of the 8 were 4 cell on day 2! BUT I know that all 7 may not make it. I would be really happy with 4 giving us two tries at FET.

As far as the lining is concerned, I will be on Estrogen patches...high doses from CD3 to help build the lining. Hoping that does the trick. I wasn't so far off. My lining was 6.7mm and he wants it to be 7.5mm to transfer. I would rather wait for better conditions than chance going forward. I have always had a thin lining. I conceived DD#2 naturally on a 6mm lining. We'll see!

I have my U/s tomorrow so I will ask what my lining was on Fresh Cycle and see what it is now and compare to see if the acupuncture did any help!

Beth - I am visiting a different lady for acupuncture after my u/s tomorrow this lady specialises in infertility. So I will let you know tomorrow where she puts the needles.

Hi girls. Just a quick check in. Nothing at all exciting going on, except I got to stop Lupron shots yesterday and today I took an additional Estrogen pill. Wheeee - good times, good times. 4 more days until final U/S and 10 more days until transfer! Time is dragging......uggghhh.

Barbarella ~ Good luck tomorrow. Hoping for nice thick lining. Are you starting progesterone soon? Do you do shots, cream or both?

Hi Crysty and welcome! Good luck tomorrow. I am praying that all of them made it and that your little embies are just waiting to go home and stick around for 9 months.

Beth ~ How are you doing? Sorry I didn't post after your appt. I am happy that things looked good and are progressing well. Sucky about the shots. Have you started them yet? I will start my shots on Saturday I think???

Faith ~ How are you doing??? Any news on the testing? It's been colder and rainy here lately in sunny AZ. My daughter is on the cheer team and we went to the NFL experience and a cheer clinic on Sunday and it rained and was cold all day long. Didn't stop me from being a weepy mom and crying because my daughter was experiencing a once in a life time experience though. But yes, I cry at every one of their events and try to pretend I don't.

Hi Everyone!

I was really nervous this morning, but worried over nothing - my lining is 9.5mm so ready for FET on 4th Feb, I am so releived another hurdle jumped.

Donnell - Start Progesterone in pessaries tomorrow 2 a day, no more nasal yippee..still on eostregen tabs 3 times a day.

Faith - Hope you are ok, I can imagine the wait is getting to you.Not long now for the results.

Beth - Had acupuncture again today with the specialist and the needles went in the same place as the other acupuncture lady I had. They go in your ankles, feet,shin, wrist, hand, middle of your eyebrows and in your tummy just under the belly button and one either side down low where ovaries would be. This new acupuncture lady has me booked in for another treatment before I go on Friday, and she said she will text me to see how its going, how nice is that, and she will book me in for another treatment 2 days after I return. She has a lot of piccies on her wall where clients have had babys with acupuncture and IVF.
My lining on the fresh was 12mm and the nurse said it is harder to get a thick lining on FET so she said I did well getting 9.5mm. So I am hoping it will be more by the time the 4th comes...heres hoping.
When is your next U/s?

Chris - That is good going! Going from what I know anyhow, I had 23 and I ended up with 6 blasts. I used 2 on fresh cycle and have 4 left but I have no idea what grade they are, they would of used the best 2 the first time. Here in UK you are only allowed 2 to be implanted at a time. Hope your lining is thickening up nicely!

OMGosh Can I blab sorry! I am all full of happy hormones tonight..I am going to make the most of them.
I have a really achy leg it started with my skin feeling stingy, now I have a dull ache, i think it maybe something to do with the eostregen tablets?
