Hello moms! Long time no talk....I think most of us are from the other thread so it is nice to see you all here! My EDD is 4/16 and we have our first u/s aug 27. Is it me or is all this waiting just too much! The whole entire process is waiting...then waiting again for something else! That is why this website is so great. I am not feeling anything at all....I have to look at my little notepad as proof of my betas to convince myself that I am actually pregnant. It is still early though as I am only 5 weeks now. Well...I look forward to going through this journey with you all!

Hi Babyloves,
I read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy and laughed through the entire thing! It walks you through her pregnancy and everything she experienced and was sooooo funny! I really suggest that one!

First timer here!

Trying to let things go and embrace this, and not worry abot everything. Easier said than done.

Why did my boobs increasingly hurt over the weekend but now not really at all? Not worrying just want to see if anyone else experienced this??

My EDD is 4/19

Hey sweetmomi. I have the same thing going on with my boobs right now. They really hurt some times then all of a sudden they're totally tollerable. It hurts more when I have my bra on but they definatly hurt less than they did. I think that we shoud try not to look into it too much. It could be our bodies getting used to the hcg or something. Keep me updated.

Hi ladies! It's a miracle - I'm pregnant! I had my first beta today and it was 164 so I'm very excited. This has been a very long, stressful, and at times devastating journey. It still has not sunk in.

According to the calculator on this site my EDD is April 24th.

I'm so happy to join you and look forward to communicating with you all!

Hi ladies and congrtulations on all the BFP's :D
My EDD is 4/20. I'm waiting to hear about my 3rd beta today.
My first one was 109 at 11dp5dt and second one was 169 12dp5dt.
I don't know why they did it the day after when beta's usually rise every
2-4 days but they said it wasn't doubling like it should...I say they
didn't give it a chance to double.

Anyway I'll update later and congrats again everybody.
Have a happy nine.

Hi ladies,

So I just got my 3rd beta in and it is 2895. It didn't quite double, but it did rise enough that they said they were not concerned about the number. I guess it still makes me feel cautious esp b/c I've felt a bit less pregnant than last week. I'm not quite as tired and my boobs don't hurt quite as much as they did last week at this time. (Funny, how I am wanting the fatigue, sore boobs, and m/s!!) But, i guess I will know how things are going down there soon enough since I have my first u/s on Monday morning. (I will be 5 weeks, 6 days pregnant)..

Ndgo82: Congrats on your number!!! Your beta greater than doubled in just one day! That's great!

JDC: Great news that you are pregnant!! I'm very happy for you!!

Babyloves: I'm dying!! How did your first U/S go????!!! I go to the Rockville SG office.

So I just bought the Mayo clinics guide to a healthy pregnancy and think that it is a pretty good general prego book.

Hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to getting all of your updates!!

Take Care,

Elisabeth

elisabeth: don't worry about ur beta not quite doubling...or symptoms coming and going...i asked ghost and he said that the ratio that they look for is 1.6...ur beta is pretty close to what mine was...and guess what...I'M HAVING TWINS!!!!!!! :D :D
I'm sooo ecstatic today i want to jump up and down and go crazy...but i have to keep it under wraps as my in-laws who don't know are staying with us for a week!!!

on the down side, I also have a fluid collection with a little white thing inside which the doc thinks is a blood clot, but <1% of it being a triplet...but no hb anyway. hope it goes away...anyone have a similar issue?

Ngodo: ur #'s look awesome...don't let the clinic tell u differently...if i remember correctly...weren't u doubling ur own doses of meds? if so, i'm not so sure about ur clinic..but hey...ur pregnant so that's all that matters.. :D

JDC: congrats on ur pregnancy!!!...the U/S definitely makes u believe like nothing else i feel this thus far - u too will believe it! :D

Good luck to everyone else i didn't mention! :D :D :D
Thank you God for this blessing.

OH Babyloves I am so thrilled for you and DH! Lots of heartfelt Congrats to you both!!!

This is the biggest blessing that you are having twins! My DH and I have been praying for twins ever since we placed 2 embies back in. Since Wed we have been preparing ourselves for how we would feel if we didn't end up with twins. With my beta not rising as high as I would like, I've been thinking more that it may be a singleton. But, now since our numbers are very similar, you have given me hope, again!! Thank you for that!

I don't know how you are going to wait to tell your parents! That is going to be a long week of silence!
I hope you have a wonderful night of celebration!! I guess your due date is now moved to the end of March??

Again, Congratulations! Big hug to you, your babies and your hubbie!

Hi ladies- I'm am glad to see all you ladies on this board. My EDD is April 14th which I can see a couple of other ladies have the same day!

Like Elizabeth I also have the Mayo clinics guide to a healthy pregnancy and think that it's a good book. I also bought "Ask a midwife" which has about every question you could ever think to ask your health care provider with an answer so I like that one too.

Babyloves - WHOOT WHOOT TWINS!!!! That rocks. I am so happy for you.

My first ultrasound was bumped up to next Tuesday so I am really excited about that. I have been sick the last few days and am worried about the affect this could have on the baby. anyone know? This is my first pregnancy.

hope everyone is doing ok
JD - welcome and congrats

ndgo - those # sound great
elizabeth - your numbers look great too. Don't worry. I went through the same thing myself wondering why I felt less symptoms etc. We will be fine and blessed with beautiful babies in 8 months.

AFM, got my second beta today. 2273 at 16dp3dt! from 1161 at 14dp3dt. Can you say terrified? Those numbers are high.

Our ultrasound is Monday. I am bloated, constipated, and have no appetite, but everything else is great!

Hey DCDiva: That would be crazy if we both ended up at the same hospital on the same day delivering! Although I live in MD and work in DC, I will most probably end up delivering at Fairfax b/c my OB-GYN is in VA. I adore her and couldn't imagine going to anyone else! I think I have sent her a ton of business, and funny enough, most of my female work colleagues go to her as well! I guess when you are good, word of mouth gets out. At what point does your RE hand you off to the OB? I think SG keeps us for 10-12 weeks, but I'm not certain. I know my OB will want to see me between 8-10 weeks, but I am waiting to make an apt until after my Monday u/s apt. Did I read right that you go Monday for an u/s, too???

Thanks Sweetmommi for the encouragement. I will try to not worry or stress too much on every little bodily change!! Are anyone else's pants getting tight? I am overall a small person, but I think this month of inactivity followed by all the hormones has plumped me up a bit regardless of the pregnancy status. I feel a bit like a butterball turkey right now and my clothing is getting snug. Congrats on your high beta numbers!! You must be nervous, but also really really excited!!

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? We don't have much planned, which is good b/c these headaches are making me very anti-social!!
