Welcome - lynniecat - All the best with the cycle - 3rd time is the charm - I will keep you in my prayers as will for BFP :)
Karen - No you are not nuts :) - u never know what might happen- I think u made a wise choice - am rooting for you :)

So my meds arrived yesterday and I stop BCP this Saturday - WHOHOO :).
the quantity was more than last time. There are some left overs from last time as well - so there are medicines all over the place now - I don't have that much cabinet place to store them :) ;)
There will be lots left from this cycle as well .... Since I am +ve its going to work this time - will give the left overs to my clinic so the women who don't have insurance coverage can use them. I know I sound crazy I have made plans already ;)

Am off to NYC tomorrow morning to visit some friends. That will keep my mind off the coming cycle.

What are your plans for the weekend ladies?

Love

Hi everyone

hope your all doing well. I'm on night duty and actually getting a break tonight so have sneaked online. :)

Hi Priya, yes I thought you knew I was a gynae nurse, I look after pregnant people all the time, not an easy thing.

I'm just getting into the swing and only have two more nightshifts left and then I will be off all next week to recover. It was my first week back at work and everyone has been very supportive, they were all alittle nervous about seeing me, typical not knowing what to say, but atleast my emotions were more under control than they were 3 weeks ago and I didn't burst into tears when anyone spoke to me.

I glad your cycle is really getting under way now, I'm sure you will enjoy spending time with your friends.

Hey Karen I was thinking of asking my doctor to do a hysteroscopy to ensure my uterus is ok as my embryos just dont seem to be implanting. Have a few more weeks to wait yet. Good luck with yours, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hey Marynaz,
I hope your appointment went well with your doctor, Keep us posted.

Take care all, got to get back to work

Hey everyone:
I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hey Kerry: So you must be off the night shift now. Must feel good :)
I knew you are a nurse but forgot u work with preg ppl. You are right must not be easy but you are very brave to continue with it.

Mary - Any update on the appointment?

How are you doing Karen? No post from you for a while now.

My weekend was OK - I had told one of my friends that we are going through the IVF process and now everyone knows - so I was glad weekend was over - there were so many questions they asked, talked abt it all the time...i got very frustrated. Told everyone not to ask me anything and if something happens I will let them know.

And the worst was not over yet - I had referred one of my friends to my gyne and the gyne told her we were having problems conceiving. This friend of mine was the last person i wanted to tell ... so am going to call up the doc and talk to her - there is something like patient privacy ...

It was so frustrating - the whole weekend - I wanted to go in one corner and hide but had to put up a happy front .... sucked - was glad we were out of there.

The best part of the weekend was my friend's 6 months old daughter - she is adorable :) and another good news that I got - another friend of mine is having baby girl :) - am excited for her...

So sorry guys - I have vented a lot today here.

Hopefully my acupuncture session will relax me mentally this today.

I also start my stimms from this Friday - WOHOOOOO - am super duper excited .... estimated ER - 9th sept and beta around 24th - 25th sept ....
I wish it were Friday tomorrow or today :)

Talk to everyone tomorrow:
Love
Priya

Hello All,
I saw my doctor last week and he told me that he think everything went well and he checked my uterus again and find nothing and everything looked normal. He told me I really don't know why it did not work last time. Just bad luck :( anyway I think if they knew why it was better but what can I do? I will start agin in October and hope this time will work. Good luck to all of you for this cycle and hope all of you get BFP. I really pray for everyone who wants to be a mom, her wish come true.

Hiya~
I am currently starting my second IVF cylcle--I am on BCPs now and will be starting microdose flare protocol around Sept 22. My first IVF last May was sadly negative but I feel very hopeful this time! I have been taking herbs and doing accupuncture for two months in preparation.

I have been posting to the Aug/Sept board and am very much attached to the ladies over there--but most of them are so far ahead of me in their cycles. I hope you dont mind if I post here as well?

Karen--it is good to see you here! I have been wondering what happened to you and hoping eveything is ok. Are you going to keep trying naturally or get back on the IVF rollercoaster?

Hello All! I’m so excited that Priya began this board. I took my last BCP yesterday, 8/25. I begin stimming (Follism (sp?) and Repronex) on Saturday, 8/30. My ER will happen sometime between Sept. 9th & 11th. From the way it sounds, most of us will be having our retrievals then.

PriyaC: Thank you for beginning this board. I posted a couple of times on the August/September board (what a great bunch of women!!!), but was very overwhelmed. This is my first time doing this sort of thing (message boards) and I just didn’t know how I was going to catch up and get to know everyone out there.

As Kerry and others have mentioned, it’s great how cheerful you are! It will be great to have someone like you to go through something like this with. It will be great for all of us. Positive energy is what we need!

Karen: I’m sorry to hear of your MC. I know exactly how you feel because I also had one myself, at 9 weeks. It’s sometimes hard to stay positive, but that is what we are all here for, to help each other stay positive.

Lynniecat: My feelings regarding the herbs or anything else, is similar to yours. With all these medications that we are required to take, it makes me nervous to add anything else in. The only thing I am taking right now are my prenatal vitamins which were doctor prescribed. I agree with Priya, 3rd time IS a charm.

NY4thty: I’m sorry about your previous cycles. I think it’s great that you are still “fighting” for what you want. This is my first IVF cycle and I pray that this will be a success and my last, but if not, I hope I have the strength like you do to keep fighting.

Kerry: Good luck with the new RE. Sometimes change is best. A friend of mine when to one that told her that her only option was IVF, which she was upset about because she didn’t have insurance and he was very adamant about it and wouldn’t try anything else. She went somewhere else, and because of her situation (PCOS, male motility low, and 1 tube blocked), they said IVF was probably the best option, but they could try IUI first since it is less expensive and it doesn’t hurt to try. She now has a baby boy. \
So, my point is, one may know more than the other.

I’m sorry if I missed anyone.

Hey everyone,

Yes I have finished my nights and enjoying recovering, they weren't the nicest of shifts, but i had a long rant on the TTC for a long time thread so I wont bore you all with it again.

Priya: I'm sorry you had a bad weekend, your experiences with everyone knowing are similar to mine, everyone I know always knows when I'm doing a cycle, I am finding it harder and think with my next cycle I'm going to keep it quiet, it is so difficult though as everyone at work always knows because I take time off, there are no light duties in my job. You fight it out girl and relax with this cycle. I'm keeping everything crossed for you and wishing you babydust, its your turn :)

Karen: sorry you got your AF its really not easy what we all go through. Good luck with your hysteroscopy, lets hope you get some answers. Glad you had fun in WA state. I used to work in sammamish/seattle as a nanny and think WA is a lovely state, I miss it alot.

Soready: good luck with your cycle Your going to be pretty much in line with Priya, that will be great lots of positive thoughts. Thats nice news about your friend too.

Sueqiwi: Good luck with your cycle too. I am a real advocate for AP, I had it with my last cycle and although I got a BFN I feel it did help and I have a friend who is pregnant now following 9 months of AP.

Mary: glad your uterus looks good that is good news, but I know sometimes you wish you knew why it hadn't worked and that it was something you could fix, Keep your chin up :) I hope your wish comes true in october too.

Hey I hope I didn't miss anyone.
Take care all, thinking of you all

Hey Everyone :
Nice to see quite a bit of activity yesterday :)

Welcome soready73 and SueQiwi :).

Kerry : Thanks ! - After venting here I was feeling much better :). Yes - this time I am also not telling anyone. I can only imagine how diff it must be for you since ppl notice when you are not there for the shifts or coming a little late or leaving early. For me its a little easier to vanish in between. Only my manager knows about it.
Am too a big advocate of AP. I went for my 3rd sitting yesterday but after my 1st sitting I noticed all the changes - no back pain for past 3 weeks. My AF came and no pain this time and was very easy to handle.

Karen: So sorry you got ur AF. Let us know how the hysteroscopy goes - All the best for it. Glad you had fun in WA. we have friends in Seattle - I was there in June - love that place.....its so beautiful :)

SueQiwi : So sorry abt the fist BFN - am sure this is the time :) - We would love to hear from you so keep us posted.

soready: Thanks for so many good words - you have made my day ;) I know what you mean. I have joined another board and everyone is very nice but there are so many of us that its overwhelming and most of them know each other quite well so it does not seem personal sometimes. For the last cycle Kerry and I were together and she had started 2WW board. I was so glad she did it. there were very few of us and it was like we knew each other very well - felt very personal. I can safely say I found a very supporting and good Friend - Kerry - there :)
So its seems we are stimming together ... which is nice I never had someone with me before ;). My ER will be around 9th sept as well.
Am also very sorry to hear abt your previous MC. It nice to see you are so positive.... this is our time.

Alright girls - talk to you soon
Love

Well, had my first u/s after starting stims. Its day 4 (three days of stim so far) and I had 4 follicles showing growth. a 10, 9, 8 and 6. The last cycle had nothing till day 7 and the one before was not till day 6.

So this is early growth for me. I just hope more pop up and they don't get too spread out in size (and no dominant follicle appears)!

Next check is Saturday -- day 6. Assuming I make it to retrieval (and I so hope so) it will be around Wednesday of next week, the 3rd with transfer back on the 5th.

Grow follies!

hi all! i have to say i'm really excited to be a part of this thread :D

i too, am looking forward to more of the personal connections that are already developing here :D it's wonderful for me to have other ladies to connect too who know what i'm going through, and Sue ! it's wonderful to see you here! i miss being more connected to the other thread, but just found it too hard to keep up with, and i'm now so far behind everyone else there.

lynnie- that's wonderful that you have more follies developing! you must be so excited! i can imagine that alleviates some of your fears (or it would for me). i'm a low responder- and pretty freaked out about it. and i'm sorry to hear about your vitamin issues..and hope it doesn't interupt anything in your cycle.

sue-
i think we'll be stimming around the same time. it looks like i'll get my next AF around sept 24, and then i start day 3 after that

kerry- it must be hard being a gyne nurse :? i admire your courage. i'm going to read your "rant" on the other thread- as i'm sure i can relate and my favorite thing about these boards is hearing about the emotional struggles as i can so relate and it helps me to connect with others this way.
mary- i'm so glad to hear you're persevering for another cycle. it's so hard for all of us.
soready- welcome! i'm sorry to hear you had a M/C too...it's awful. although mine happened at week 12, it was 'missed' and had probably died at week 8 or9..
and priya- when i was in washington i bought 4 PAIRS OF SHOES!! woo-hoo on the shoe-shopping.!! nothing heals the soul like some new shoes. sooo- you start stims tomorrow?! good luck ...and glad to hear AP has helped with AF pains.that's awesome.
and hi to NY4th try and onemore baby too.

anyways- after work tomorrow i'm looking forward to a weekend of NO PLANS! given how busy we've been with holidays and such, i'm looking forward to no agenda. i'm sure the DH and i will find some fun inthere.
all the best to everyone! lots of love, karen

Hey so I am going to get to get a massage tonight! I think relaxation is good for IVF.

I go in tomorrow am for a follie check and as usual I am so nervous since I have so few! I really hope my guys are growing and more are joining in....I think I will have an idea of whether I make it to retrieval after the appt!

I hope the massage helps those follies along!

Hi all,

Well I'm enjoying my week off after my nights, haven't done half the things I wanted to, like stripping the wallpaper off the lobby and stairs walls. I spent the day at a playcentre with my friends yesterday which was actually nice. Today I went with my 28week pregnant sister for an appointment, I must have been mad, pregnant women everywhere, I just sat wishing it was me but I didn't let myself feel sad today, just kept the thought that one day it would be me.

Priya: well done on the shoe shopping front. I wish I had the funds to do that this month but my salary wasnt as good with having a month off but hey I dont regret that at all. I hope you enjoy your day trips out. All that BW will be worth it when you get your BFP next month. I am so glad you started this thread, although I haven't started my next cycle I do feel I have friends in all of you :)

Lynnie: those follies sound great and as you said much better than any of your previous cycles, I'm sure your going to get all you need this time. Good luck on your next check tomorrow and enjoy your massage. :D

Karen: I agree with you about this thread, it is nice to gain the personal connections that I feel we get. No one ever truly understands how utterly heart breaking infertility can be, We are all such good support for eachother when we are needed most. I do feel alittle behind you guys as I'm still waiting for my follow up appointment but I feel genuine concern for all you guys. Anyway enjoy your weekend of no plans, its sometimes great to just take the day as it comes, Have lots of fun with your DH :D

Soready: good luck with starting your stims tomorrow and enjoy your weekend. :)

Sueqiwi: I hope your well this evening and have some nice plans for the weekend. :)

Well I'm going to see helboy with my DH and maybe dinner out, other than that I am going to take it easy. I also went to see Mamma Mia this week and it was wonderful, I totally recommend it its really fun.

Hope I didn't miss anyone,
take care all
